This is an old properties that charges you an arm and a leg just because you are near the park. The bed was terrible, the aircondition sounded like an airplane in the room. We ended up forgoing 1 night that we paid for and we checked in to a different hotel

It’s a very expensive hotel so if you’re on a budget I would avoid. In the coffee shop on site they were asking $18 for a cup of fruit. 😱
I think the hotel for a 5 star is too big. You wait on busy nights too long in the bar / around the pool to even get served etc but overall the facilities are class and all the staff are too. There was only one time around the pool where I asked if we could move an umbrella and the guy turned round and said yes and walked off….. Thanks for your help!

Absolutely stunning experience at The Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes in Orlando! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like royalty with their warm welcome and impeccable service. The property is beautifully landscaped, creating a serene oasis that feels a world away from all the hustle and bustle of Orlando tourism. The only issue I had was I booked through expedia and my trip was paid for in full. I also got charged by the hotel for the same fee. I explained and produced the receipts to the staff only to get told that I would have to take the issue up with expedia. There was no empathy or understanding of the issue, just cold and straightforward. What a damper to an otherwise nice experience.

Service level around the pool was deplorable. Everyone was complaining . They include a 18% service charge… so there’s absolutely no incentive for these people to do a good job. Not what you would expect from a Ritz Carlton.
Hotel had less than 50% occupancy and they put me in a third floor room looking straight into some palm trees. Absolutely no view. I know service in our country has nosedived, but you just don’t expect this from a Ritz Carlton. Very little attention to detail.

Overall wonderful stay, but finding pool seating when the hotel is full is a challenge, and the staff were not initially helpful. It took asking 3 people before we found someone working in the pool area that was willing to help us try to find open chairs. Additionally, be aware that the amenities are shared with the adjoining Marriott property, so the Ritz amenities can be unusable when both properties are busy.
