NEVER STAY HERE.
Room was disgusting - stains everywhere (floor, sheets, lampshades), furniture was gross and broken down, windows were dirty and had BLACK MOLD.

I was given a new room - was not any better. Manager and staff tried to say the black mold was just dust. No one offered to look at the room with me. No one apologized.

I walked out and they just said, "ok".

This property should not be open for public health reasons. Bathroom sink was extremely slow. The room was hot, so we turned AC on. It was sort of working, but I started to sneeze badly like I had allergy, either dust or mold, and had to turn it off. Hot night. False advertisement: Their swimming pool was closed. There were many room doors that they wrapped with plastic bubbles, so they were clearly not using.

The room and property were clean. The men's public restroom wasn't working, the swimming pool was out of order, there is no hot tub, the breakfast needed more options. The handicap room toilet was extremely low. The staff seemed to spend more time outside smoking than inside working. There was no housekeeping service and no additional towels brought to the room. There was no notepad and pen left in the room for writing quick things and we were there for business so it would have been needed. The one positive thing is that it was close to our business meetings

The building is old. The carpet and furniture is old-needs updating. With that being said, I believe that some updating is being done as there was plastic sheet covering the door of 4 rooms. It looks like they have replaced lighting and did with motion sensor's lights. Well, this is great when a person is awake BUT not in the middle of the night. There were 3 motion sensors-1 on the light switch next to the door to turn on light in front of door, 1 in the bathroom and 1 within the door handle plate. So, every time you moved, the lights would turn on. This includes in the middle of the night. The door handle sensor even picked up movement of my legs in the bed during the night causing the lights to turn on in the sitting area and forcing me to get out of bed to manually turn off the lights. I ended up going to Home Depot to buy painter’s tape and used that to cover the sensor. This worked so the lights had to be manually turned on BUT the lights are also on a timer where they would turn off when I still needed them on. Consequently, I will NOT be back to this Comfort Suites.

Room was FILTHY. Found someone else’s c0(k ring, used q—tip, hair, and bottle cap all within the first hour. There was a stain on the bed spread that we could see. The pool wasn’t working no water juice or pancakes at breakfast + no housekeeping the day in between our two night stay. Don’t get me started in the dances already existing in the room. If there were an option for zero stars I would choose it. Paid at least 50% more than the going rate. Absolutely will never return.

I am freaking covered in bed bug bites all over my back chest face neck. Every room upstairs on the right side of the hall had the door open which I didn't think much of when I arrived late at night the next morning as I was leaving i peaked into to the rooms and saw mattresses standing straight up,.. obviously being treated.. why would they let anybody get a room here while they know they're infested with bed bugs. You have no idea the stress they've caused me. Never stay here, im considering legal action heavily.

The place was filthy. More like a third world hotel in some undeveloped country. Halls hadn't been cleaned in weeks, bathroom faucet didn't work, toilet was dirty, elevator was full of dirt, smears and crap on the floor and walls. Room was not services during our visit. An open bag of winter ice salt was still sitting in the entry from last winter (or before). Air conditioner vents were caked with dust. No breakfast as promised on our final day. In the past, Choice Hotels had standards. Those standards are gone.

Heater was not working and when I told at the service desk and said he is going to notify housekeeping. I said nothing. When we arrived at the Hotel, we were told there was no room available, even though we had a confirmation no. No offer was made to reimburse us. We were told we'd have to take it up with Expedia. Staff was not helpful or courteous...basically told us "too bad"...When we asked to speak to a Manager, we were told no one was available...Never stay at this place unless you like being mistreated and denied service!

Walked in and the entrance light was not working. Bathroom had a strong mildewy, musty oder as the bathroom fan was not working. Had to open the window to air things out. Three lamps had to be plugged in. Went to make coffee and while there was plenty of coffee, the basket on the coffee maker was missing. Otherwise, bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Overall feel of the hotel is run down.
Room - We were told the 2nd floor was remodeled so I ignored the reviews and requested the 2nd floor. The rooms were not remodeled and dirty. The carpet was stained with what looked like crayons and the floor in the bathroom wasn't cleaned well. The beds were ok so we just stuck it out.
Also, don't expect more than 2 washcloths per room and if you want more you have to bring the give the used ones back first. I did and was told to come back in a hour. I didn't get to go back because we had an event. I just hope I don't get charged for them.
Breakfast - they had minimal to offer. No juice or individual cartons of milk. If you are cereal, you had to use a pitcher.

First day breakfast wasn’t served until 8:30am. There were a couple bagels and apples but that’s about it until the food was ready to be served right before 9am. The booklet in the room says breakfast is from 6-10am but breakfast actually ends at 9am and I missed it by 5 minutes. I had no problems with the staff but the keycard takes multiple attempts to try to get into the room. I had to have a staff member help me twice to get into my room. My comforter was also looking dirty and there was a dusty Hi-C juice box that was empty inside of my lamp next to the bed.

This is not the place to stay and was not worth the money. I’m so disappointed with the quality of the room. The room was moldy and had a mildew smell. The carpet under the ac soaks the floor all the way to the bed. I woke up with little red marks all over myself and can’t stop itching. It’s outdated and used to death, every thing was worn down (example: the chair) or didn’t work (example: THE PHONE) or stained.
There is no actual house keeping service, I had to request towels daily and even had to argue with the front desk about it because I had no towels. He kept arguing with me about getting fresh ones then brought me a single towel and a wash cloth (I had to request that SPECIFICALLY). The room had TWO adult guest.
Breakfast was sad and the main areas of the hotel are dirty (Old candy in the top of elevator).
I hated being here, I would of loved to be able to cancel but they could not refund me at all promptly so I could find a new place to stay. Do not recommend for important events happening nearby. AND TO TOP IT OFF THERE WAS SOMEONE ELSES TOENAIL CLIPPINGS UNDER THE BATHROOM SINK.

I would never stay at this hotel again. Our room didn’t have a privacy tag when I asked the staff they said they didn't have any but that no one comes to the rooms unless asked to bring something. Pool was down for maintenance one day. The next day they had no towels. Then when I asked the staff for towels they said they didn’t have any that we were to use the room towels. Then I asked for extra room towels and they said they didn’t have any. We were to bring them our dirty towels and they would wash them for us then bring them to us. Room didn’t have toilet paper in it when we got there. Room was dirty.

Breakfast was a joke. Some days they actually had some hot food eggs and sausage links. It was like we had to ask if we wanted breakfast.

First night there as we were trying to get our kids to sleep the lights in our room kept coming on. I went to call front desk surprise the phone didn’t work in room. Walked down and the staff told me there was nothing they could do about room lights that they were motion activated. He proceeded to hand me tape and a post it to cover the motion sensor.

This place was an absolute waste of money. When I asked for a refund or some sort of compensation they said they couldn’t do anything because I booked it through expedia.

I stayed at this hotel since it was close to my friend’s wedding venue. The place felt very old and not as fresh as the photos on the website made it look. Ice was only available on the first floor and not on floors 2 & 4 as stated. The snack area to buy drinks or snacks was not stocked. Luckily there was a meijer right next door so I could go there to satisfy my needs.

The furniture in the room was dingy and should have been replaced. The bedding had holes in the sheets. The toilet sounded like it was constantly dripping water in the tank so that was annoying as it didn’t stop. The key cards took multiple attempts to open the door to the room, so that was definitely not updated either compared to Hampton Inn and Suites.

The positives of the hotel was the jetted tub and AC in the room. A decent size mini fridge in the room to hold drinks I purchased at Meijer. The staff was friendly and helpful when I locked myself out of my room.

All in all, while the stay was fine (since I was hardly in the room) the King size bedroom Suite was definitely not worthy of a king or a queen.

The staff was understanding and patient, but the room was damaged and dirty with long hairs on the bathroom floor and counter, trash and a stain on the carpet, and the main light didn’t turn on. The main light fixture was broken. Every time the A/C turned off, it sounded like a door was closing, which made it difficult to fall asleep.

One reason I stayed here was for the buffet breakfast. The breakfast consisted of some fruit and cereal. Not much of a buffet.

There’s a reason the nightly rate is so low. First the hotel reeked of marijuana, the elevator didn’t work some of the time. It is definitely not “updated” there are black out curtains but you can’t pull them so a light shined in my eyes all night. Upon waking up and getting out of bed I discovered the blanket I used had old dried blood on it that wasn’t mine. It has motion activated lights so if someone got up to go the bathroom the lights turned on at 3am. The air conditioner/heating unit didn’t run. At night there was no one working the desk so anyone could walk in the lobby. I would never stay here again.

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. It truly falls short of expectations. While the room itself was spacious, the cleanliness was atrocious and far below acceptable standards. There were visible hairs in the bathroom, left by previous guests, suggesting it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Additionally, there were stains on the bed sheets and pillows, and the elevators were unclean. Overall, the hotel would greatly benefit from a complete overhaul of its cleaning procedures. I sincerely hope the management takes the necessary steps to improve cleanliness for future guests. Unfortunately, I will not be staying here again and would not recommend this hotel to friends or family.
