This is by far the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. Everyone was kind and attentive. The rooms were perfect, the view was perfect, nothing negative to say about this resort. If you ever get a chance to stay here, do it, you will not regret it. You could stay on the resort for a weekend and not get bored.

We have traveled all over the Caribbean and this hotel is at the top of the list. Stayed in room 214 and the beach was within feet of our back door. Staff upgraded us to the lower level unit which has a pool. Great pool in the unit with a bench that you could sit in. The resort has a very high staff-to-guest ratio and they are on top of things. Pool staff manager was extremely hard working and took time to chat which we appreciated. We enjoyed the restaurants but kept going back to Positivo. Incredible view at sunset and open to the beach. The bar staff was the best. Special thanks to Karla (with a K), Walter, and Chuckie (AKA Angel). We appreciate you. They kept us coming back and the bill upon checkout reflected it. Scheduled the Omakase Dinner with Sergio. He delivered. Incredible experience. Ride the bikes through the neighborhoods and around the golf course. Explore what the community has to offer. TPC golf course on site and the food at the clubhouse was very good. Beautiful course and nice clubhouse.

The set-up is breathtaking, they've done such a brilliant job designing this thing. But the awful failures in so many aspects of the service had made it a very disappointing vacation. When you pay 2200 USD per night it's outrageous to suffer from such unprofessional errors and disrespect. Also, get ready to wait 60 min for food at breakfast, after waiting 20 min for a table. Or ask for a pillow at 3pm and get it after 10pm when you already have a do not disturb sign on the door etc. When your internet and tv don't work in the room after 5pm there's no IT person to fix it. The 'butler' team is awesome and wonderful, it's not their fault. Theres' a lack of mid-executives. Also, there are some policy issues: why, for example, send security guards to the pool and hot tub to force people out at 7pm, why not allowing a dip after 7pm? Get ready to ask for each item 3 times before you'll get it, and pay 500$ for a pcr test if you need one. I was expecting more, and the service problems had made it hard to relax, yet the property is heaven.
The plunge pool water front suits are beautiful. The east beach is more quiet, which was great for us.

This resort is simply fabulous! The rooms, the pool, and the beach are all awesome. Spa Botanico is also fantastic...worth every penny. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The service was not exactly Ritz level but I am chalking that up to all of the COVID restrictions being mandated by the government. WE WILL BE BACK!

The property was hands down one of the most gorgeous ones we have visited, and our one bedroom with private pool was nothing short of amazing. The spa is one of the finest in the world! The only downside is that the reserve must of had reduced staff - twice our room service was delayed well over an hour (dinner over 2 hours), with each delay we never received a curtesy call letting us know, a few food/beverage orders were completely missed, the restaurant service was slow at times, our room was not restocked one of the days, and there was no where close to purchase toiletries (their “market” was closed).

I love Dorado! It’s my 4th visit, and it never disappoints. The rooms are beautiful, the grounds are immaculate, the plunge pool jacuzzi is amazing, and the omakase on the beach might be the best part!

The property itself is beautiful - pools, spa, beach. The service was terrible. Everything we asked for either took forever or was wrong. Guest night they said they’d be back with extra pillows, never arrived. Room service took almost 2 hours. Food served incorrectly or missing over and over. Given how much we paid (15k) we were pretty disappointed. Wouldn’t return.

It was awfully pricey but overall great experience. Didn’t realize I was also paying $95/day for “team” bc multiple ppl caused confusion and I easily cd’ve booked things myself. I hardly used them - was shocked to see invoice. Wd’ve used them more at least but still wd’ve been easier to handle myself. Love how Clara Livingstone had resort integral to environment - felt lovely and almost organic compared to all the high rises out there. Beautiful room I cannot even explain the joy my view gave me. Limited food options and evthg pricey - but did many neat things and PR being one of my all-time fave spots for 20yrs I will be back!

The daily tariff is a little steep - but one has to consider that this is much, much more than just a simple overnight accommodation. This is an awesome resort with many great activities and opportunities to enjoy. Our experience was 'first class' all the way and everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms are exceptional - and the outside shower was a highlight! The grounds and tropical foliage were awesome. The bicycles provided to each guest were a hit with my group and we used them repeatedly. The service was exquisite. We all hated to leave.

The hotel is beautiful. Its located on a preserve and the property is very well maintained. I stayed for a week in the second floor suite on East Beach. Always request East unless you have children with you. West is more suited for families. All 3 restaurants on property are delicious, however the menus are limited. The pool & beach staff need some training as some days it would take 10-15 mins for anyone to assist me, and it was not busy at all. Room service also needs some work as it claims to be 24hrs and I called several times with no response just after midnight. Same with the front desk Realistically this is a 4 star resort not 5. The pricing reflects that of a 5 star but the service does not meet expectations of other 5 star resorts I have visited. Worth staying at but spend your money else where for food/service as there are plenty of options for better overall value and half the price.

Perfect hotel in paradise

We had an excellent stay during our end of summer vacation at Dorado Beach Resort. The resort grounds are truly amazing. You are right on a beautiful beach with adjacent golf course. There are trails available for cycling and walking that include looking at artwork that's presented outdoors. There is also a small water park that is associated with the resort and was open on the weekend. Our girla loved the water park! The food available at the resort restaurants was amazing though a bit pricey. I had a chance to enjoy the spa, which was also beautiful and relaxing. We will definitely return to Dorado Beach.

A phenomenal experience

This is a stunning property and we had a wonderful experience staying here. The restaurants on site have fabulous food, the staff is impeccable and attentive, and the place feels very private even when quite busy. Every room faces the ocean, which is another amazing bonus of the way the hotel property is laid out. The staff gave us two cruiser bikes to use and we enjoyed taking the marked trails through the property each day for a little exercise and exploring the Dorado Beach Reserve. Absolutely loved everything about this place and will be back!

A True \"Getaway\"

We spent a week in an East Beach room with a plunge pool and it was perfection- very comfortable for my husband, me & our two daughters. From what I understand, East is the more quiet of the two locations- West has better beach access, but, my husband and I loved being able to have coffee outside and feel like we had the place to ourselves. Bikes were provided and we enjoyed riding to different locations on the property (the Watermill Water Park, and two pools, as well as Goodwinds, etc.). Staff went above and beyond and truly seemed to enjoy being helpful and accommodating. Pools were never crowded, and we often have them entirely to ourselves. Not what I was expecting during spring break! Meals were very expensive, but, very solid.

Would not change a thing...perfect beach getaway. Great beach, food, staff, etc. Cannot wait to go back again! Great gym, tennis courts, surfing, spa, especially the treehouse. Do not miss the restaurants on property. They were all great. My favorite was positivo. Ambassadors were attentive and helpful. Always making suggestions ad checking in. Loved that we got bikes to get around and explore the property. We wish Expedia had let us upgrade our seats on JetBlue...that is our only complaint.

We have stayed in some incredible, 5-star resorts before but this one tops the list. The rooms are spacious and gorgeous with direct beach views. The nearby fitness facility is top-notch, as are the restaurants on-site. We loved walking the meandering Rockefeller Nature Trail each morning. Overall, an incredible experience. We stayed 6 nights but wish we could have stayed longer!

Luxury resort, not quite 5 start

Lovely setting, handsome facilities, nicely designed. Annoying that they charge a resort facilities fee of $95 every day, regardless of one's use of the facilities. It would be more honest to just put it in room rates unless they are trying to avoid room taxes. Also lots of other nickel and diming, like charging $6 for bread at dinner at the upscale restaurant, charging full rates for refill of cup of tea. Staff is very accommodating, perhaps overly so and every request is met with a \"right away\" although it can take a long time to get a beach umbrella, or luggage pickup. The grounds and landscaping are, however, quite nice.

The two previous ones were better than this one.
Grounds, rooms and most people are beautiful.

Did not have good experience at Encanto pool.
Poor service most of the time. Seats are made up only for locals and friends of the attendants.
If you are Spanish speaking young lady ,he will carry towels to your seat and make up the seat.
Is you are an English speaking old lady you ar asked : How many. That means how many towels
Than handed the towels ,and you are on your way to do with them whatever you want.

My daughter asked for an ice tea at 10 AM. Told : not open until 11AM.

Non Ritz Carlton guests definitely change the atmosphere to something that one wants to escape when paying for Ritz Carlton Reserve.

I ordered a glass of wine. It was delivered in a plastic cup.
For that I can go to Motel 6. Please ban serving wine in a plastic cup. That underestimates your guests. Underestimates the wine.

This trip I took my daughter and grandson with me to show them a peak.
Maybe next time.
