The entire stay was wonderful, but there was a prom every night. During the day the pool area was filled with teenagers. While they were well behaved, there was so many of them that getting into the pool area was difficult.

may not be ideal for families, especially during prom season. During our stay, the resort was very loud and crowded because of multiple prom events. The open atrium design seemed to carry sound throughout the hotel, and if you are staying in a one-bedroom layout with kids sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room area, the noise can be really hard to get away from.

There was also a knock on our door around 2:30 a.m., which added to the feeling that this was not a restful stay. It is possible this experience was mainly because of prom season, and I cannot say whether the hotel is like this year-round, but based on our stay, this was not the right time to come as a family.

Puerto Rico itself is beautiful, but this resort experience was disappointing. If you are traveling with kids or hoping for a quiet, relaxing stay, I would be cautious about booking during prom season.

One other note, not specific to the resort itself: the bottled water in Puerto Rico had a strong mineral taste and left a dry, chalky feeling in the throat, so families may want to keep that in mind.

The rooms are a bit out dated. The pillows are very uncomfortable.
We stayed 5 night and 2 of the days we did not get our bath towels replaced. We also ran out of shampoo and body wash in the room.
We called the front desk to get these items refilled but we never had a staff member bring them to us.

I liked the beach very much. The pool area was cute. The restaurants were all beyond terrible. The "free drinks" cocktail hour sounded like so much fun...except you had to wait on a giant line to actually get a cocktail. Not fun. Couldn't stream movies in the room which was unfortunate.

The hotel has poor cleaning and poor maintenance all around. The check in has long lines and the room wasn't ready at 6pm and check out is at 11am. Like 7hrs to be ready and not.not upgrades offers for the lateness, not even late check outs.The pool bar never is opend, no muisic no food no drinks etc.... the breakfast should be more extended the turist dont whant to wakeup early... the carpet all of it needs to upgrade.

Tienen que mejorar en los baños de todas las áreas en especial las del área de la piscina. El proceso del estacionamiento es uno tedioso y por ejemplo a la hora de salir no me funcionaba la tarjeta y no había personal por lo que llamo al frond desk y me indican pues bájese y busque un papel para poder salir. Hellow volver atrás buscar estacionamiento volver a caminar todo de vuelta y volver a hacer lo mismo. Eso no funciona y no se está brindando el servicio al cliente correcto. Para el precio necesita una remodelación urgente. Y no hacer que los huéspedes tengan que pasar trabajo constantemente con el estacionamiento porque no funciona la tarjeta que brindan.

The hotel is clean and well maintained in spite of it showing its age with decor and worn hallway carpets. The pool area is comfortable and there were enough lounge chairs and places to sit. My only disappointment was the beach. The sand on the beach and inside the water has lots of small rocks that made it painful to walk barefoot. The water itself is very shallow and only has a narrow area along the beach that you can use . The rest of the water area is rocky with possibly sea urchins so you can’t walk on it and it’s too shallow to swim above it.
The breakfast buffet was extensive and filling. We had supper in the lobby and it was tasty and reasonably priced. You get two free drinks every day from 6:30-8:30. Across the street there are two other restaurants and a casino besides the golf course clubhouse.

Clean room, nice breakfast but the rooms and other parts of the resort need renovations. At one point the air conditioning blew from the amount of power the resort takes. Then it got fixed within 15 minutes. The private beach is very nice with free chairs to use.

Nice place in dorado PR. Lots of locals in the hotel which made it very busy and difficult to find beach chairs. Otherwise it was good the bartender in the happy hour could have been a little more friendly. Make sure to have water shoes the beach has lots of coral and rocls making it a little rough.

En general todo estaba limpio pero deben atender áreas que necesitan mejoras. Lampara del baño de la habitación luce muy mohosa. Bañera se quedaba el agua estancada (algo que no me gusta), baño de la piscina pueden mejorar la limpieza. Había un solo inodoro disponible, el otro fuera de servicio.

Buen desayuno. La habitación es cómoda.

The hotel has a great lobby and pool area. The rooms are super outdated and it did not feel like a resort in comparison to others in Puerto Rico.
No bell hopper was offered when arrived and my husband and I had to push the cart up. Certain treatments of a resort were lacking and it seems like the staff isn’t too happy.
Room dining was excellent. Props to the chef and the staff member who took the time to read the entire menu when our QR code was shaded out in our room.

Sit back, this will be a long review. I WISH I could rate the staff separate from the property. The truth is the staff was just too good for this old property. Hilton should be ashamed. My stay was business for the week. We arrived on Monday, and was greeted with warm and friendly smiles. We had traveled for almost 10 hours. The front desk allowed early check-ins for everyone. There were smiles all around. The lobby area is gorgeous. The Koi pond was beautiful and well kept. We headed towards the elevators and there was strike one. Out of three elevators, two barely worked. Upon exiting the elevator the overwhelming smell of old moldy carpet smacks you in the face. When we entered our room, at first glance it was very clean, you could tell the staff took pride in their work. However, Hilton needs to do room renovations ASAP!! The grout on the bathroom floor and shower were filthy. And the worst part were the gnats that were invading the rooms. Everyone talked about and were swatting gnats the entire week. The bugs were in the rooms, the meeting rooms and we found one in our food during the last banquet. I absolutely would never stay at this resort again HOWEVER, I cannot say enough how amazing the staff was. The bartenders at the pool were the best friends you didn't know you needed. The staff that serviced the breakfast bar greeted us with smiles EVERY SINGLE DAY!! It was truly heartfelt. I wish Hilton would put the money and redo this hotel.

Very nice beach area; well maintained pools and excellent food. The hotel is 45min from San Juan airport if you enjoy relaxing on the beach and hanging around the resort its a great choice! The excursions are located closer to San Juan; if be prepared to pay an additional fee of around 110$ for transportation. Hotel staff were friendly, complimentary drinks in the evenings with music and entertainment. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Embassy Suites!

Curtains had blood stains on it asked it to be changed it took 3 days for them to come and just to clean the stains not change the whole thing. Paid resort fees and all a had was a bottle of water which i have to go beg for all the time. anytime they clean the room they only leave 2 bottles of water bathroom had stains and some part of the room. Some part of the ameneties you have to pay even thou its already charged. Hotel was far from the city so unless you driving better get a rental.

The hotel itself was just horrible from the fact that we got there at 4 o’clock for check-in and did not get our room until almost 6:00 PM. When we went up to the room there was mold, bugs, staining on the carpet, holes on the couch, the furniture was old and the building needed updating. The thermostat would not go lower than 71. The TVs are old. Everything is outdated the calcium buildup on the shower head, the bathroom, just being clearly outdated, the whole room being outdated. The light fixture on the balcony was hanging bird poop everywhere on the balcony was just not a pleasant stay overall when they came to clean the room they never changed the sheets not once the staff was completely rude. The valet was really slow the free breakfast was horrible. We actually ended up staying in an Airbnb for two days out of our vacation because we just did not want to be there but could not cancel and get our money back.

Great location, great views. Had a lot of amenities to do on the hotel property (Pool tables/bowling etc.) Restaurants on location and enjoyed breakfast in the morning and happy hour in evenings. The staff helped decorate the room before we got there for our 25th Anniversary! Was an incredible trip and we enjoyed staying here at Embassy Suites, we will be back again and recommend to others!!

This place is a good option for a budget resort, I'll say that. The beach was great and the pool was good...there are some nice dinner options just across the street, as well as some fun activities (bowling, casino, go carts, golf and pickleball) - most of which we did not get to experience because apparently they were only open on certain days.
The reason why I would not recommend this place - the service. One night we wanted room service, but when we called it just rang and rang, no one ever picked up! When we called the front desk they said they'd reach room service and have them contact on, it never happened. And this was on a Tuesday night. We ordered chicken tenders at the pool bar, they took an HOUR on a slow evening...and then they didn't even offer to take them off the bill. Lots of little things like that throughout our stay. Again, fine for a budget stay, or if you need a home base, but definitely not a luxurious resort feel.

Poolside lounge chairs were being “saved” by people not even staying at the hotel - Aquarius and Day Trippers made securing lounge chairs challenging when WE were paying and staying at Embassy Suites
We played the game and saved chairs but it’s just an unwelcome exercise that can be avoided if staff monitored the pool better

You get what you pay for! Hotel very run down and pictures misleading. And the main partial ocean views are actually a different hotel! So they also use the pool and dining areas. Breakfast terrible, we tried the omelette station once because of the rave reviews…..disgusting, no flavor and overcooked. Pool bar staff hated their jobs…ignored for 20 minutes just to get 1 drink. Not enough chairs at pool/beach and the made you pay $10 if you wanted one. The ocean is nice but it’s not much of a beach, very rocky make sure you have water shoes. The restaurants were not open while we were there except the main one in hotel but same menu every night. We ended leaving grounds for breakfast and dinner daily.
The rooms outdated, rusty fixtures. But the bed was actually very comfortable. The lighting is poor in front room. Overall just dingy.
You have a balcony, but theirs no table to set a drink down, and if you want to see ocean you have to stand up and lean over railing. We never found bowling alley…
The pool was very nice and grounds around it very pretty…but that’s all the pros I got for our stay.
Would never stay there again. There’s a $35 resort fee but you still have to pay for lounge chair if they are all taken!! Ridiculous.
Totally expected better for an Hilton brand hotel.
Just run down. We have stayed in Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Jamaica….so we are well traveled and this staff was probably the worst we have encountered…don’t believe reviews about breakfast!

Where to start… Check-in was a horrible experience and set the tone after a long day of traveling. My husband pulled up front to check us in and waited 10–15 minutes, only to be told I had to check in because the reservation was under my name. Ridiculous, considering we share the same last name and credit card. I rushed inside, only to be forced to wait in line again while the agent (Melenny, I believe) rolled her eyes and sarcastically apologized in Spanish as she helped someone else instead. Having to wait a second time with three hungry, exhausted kids in the car was beyond frustrating.
On the way to our room, my husband and I immediately noticed the hallway was literally leaning. Our king ocean-view room (2519) included a sofa bed, small eating area, and sink. The view the next morning was beautiful, overlooking the pool and beach, and breakfast was a pleasant surprise with good hot options for everyone.
Unfortunately, the carpets were absolutely disgusting. My kids walked on them barefoot and their feet were completely black—I had to wash them before bed.
At the pool, you’re forced to grab chairs early or pay $10 per chair and $15 for an umbrella. The same applies to the beach. The pool bar staff were some of the rudest, most egotistical people I’ve encountered, deliberately making guests wait despite good tipping.
The location is convenient, with dining, golf, and amenities nearby—but the service and cleanliness were extremely disappointing.

First off everything is a money grab they have limited free seats by pool so you have to pay for extra seats if they are taken. Other embassy’s happy hour is free drinks till the time is up. This one gives you like 2 tickets and this includes soda. So if you are a family of 4 you have to pay for drinks. Lastly they didn’t post a sign of a wet floor so I feel. Staff was accommodating but all an all not the best stay. I will not return to this hotel.
