The property is well maintained, and there is everything you need for comfort and relaxation but service lacks to some extent as they do the strictly minimum. Some of the valets are passive agressive and sometimes pool attendants ‘don’t see you’ for the longest time. The place is quiet from 10pm to 8am for those who want to recharge during their vacation. The food was really good. It’s on the beach so very convenient. I didn't like having people offering horse rides walking up and down the beach all day and not picking up after their animals. I also think such activities should be offered only in the morning when the temperature is mild. Another element I didn’t appreciate is that they ask if you’re celebrating a birthday or event at check-in and then completely ignore it. I was there for my birthday, mentioned it at check-in, to my concierge, at the restaurants the day of and did not receive a single gesture. Not even a slice of cake, message, decor or delivery to my room. That was unimpressive for 5-star resort.

No open buffet for lunch or dinner, need to sit and wait for the order which is not convenient for someone who needs a bite a food not a full meal that’s also result in longer wait time when you try to get into one of the restaurants
Despite of being on an all inclusive plan you need to sign for each and everything you pick, drinks, water, etc.. listing room # , print name and sign on each bill
Different wifi access from room to main facility to the flamingo hotel which has majority of restaurants

Room was great, and service was very good. Jesus at the pool is \"ONE of a kind\" great guy always wanting to make you happy, he really went the extra mile to make our vacation so much fun. Santana treated us like family with great service and always a very happy smile. great service at pool area. last 2 days of our stay was over run with children in the main pool, hot tubs and and sitting on ALL the stools at the swim up bar, driving the adults with no kids away. Children's pool was empty. Lots of toys and balls flying in pool, Screaming, splashing and totally took over pool driving adults out. I hope this gets changed, I have never seen this before and when I mentioned this to management they said that is the way it is.

beach and pool are too small for hotel size (fortunately it was half empty)
very limited dining: essentially one complex together with neighboring Flamingo hotel - but even with 6 restaurants between the 2 hotels it's very hard to find a space (lot of unused reservations.....); you need a taxi to get to anything outside the complex; would probably starve when hotels are full
everyone and their grandmother reserve pool/beach chairs early in the morning but don't use it all day long

Did not like they wanted to monopolize our time on arrival and would only tell us about the place if we listened to the presentation. The man got mad at us when we didnt want to meet with us and was visibly upaet with us.

From the moment we arrived at Villa La Estancia, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. The property itself is stunning—immaculate grounds, luxurious suites, and breathtaking views—but what truly sets this resort apart is its incredible staff.

Every single team member we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for. The pool staff : Nico , Raul, Ruddy, the servers Josue, Ernesto, and Jesus and Daniel with the towels. And Carlos for making that great beach BBQ. From the front desk to bell Service : Oswaldo and Bryan, and housekeeping, and the spa attendants , the attention to detail and personalized service were beyond exceptional.

The restaurant staff deserve special praise as well. La Casona ! Fabian, Angel, Eduardo, Ada, Daniella, Carolina, Rogelio and Benjamin and Ricardo. Each meal was served with a smile, and the team remembered our preferences after just one day—a level of attentiveness you usually only find at the very best five-star resorts.

Housekeeping was equally impeccable—quietly efficient and thoughtful.

It’s clear that the team at Villa La Estancia is not only well-trained but also takes real pride in creating memorable guest experiences. If you’re looking for a luxury stay where genuine hospitality is the standard, Villa La Estancia should be at the very top of your list. The staff alone make it worth the visit—and they’re the reason we’ll absolutely be coming back.

Only part the company needs to alleviate is the sales pitch of buying/ investing in the property.
I had 3 different sales persons try to convince to invest in the property.
It was originally presented to me as a welcome breakfast but it was by far a welcoming feeling. What was suppose to past 90 mins presentation turned into 3 hours of people pressuring me to invest into the property/company.
It was the most uncomfortable feeling & took up most of my day while I’m suppose to be on VACATION!
Please get rid of this practice. If you promise a time limit of 90 mins then that should be honored not dragged out to try to get someone to invest. I already Paid thousands of dollars to have an all inclusive experience; don’t taint it my trying to pressure someone to spend an additional thousand!
Allow people to come there & truly enjoy their vacation.

The description of this property made it seem like it was condo/hotel but when we got there, we got the hard sell for a timeshare next-door. We were tired from our flight and just wanted to go to our room but they took up an hour of our precious time before we realized we were getting sold on something we didn’t need. Every time we turned around somebody was trying to talk us into going to the timeshare presentation.
Even though the description said tipping not required, everywhere we went everything we tried to do involved tipping. You had to fight for a pool chair every day, involving getting up at 7 AM to secure a spot. The food in every restaurant we tried was horrible. I’m glad we didn’t do all inclusive. We ended up eating outside the property for every meal every day of our trip.
Drink prices at the hotel were very expensive for Mexico if you’re a non-all-inclusive guest.
Would not go to this property with small children, our balcony railing was really low. While we were there, we witnessed a child climbing up onto a fifth story railing. Luckily, the parent was paying attention and yelled loudly for the child to get down.

We had a wonderful stay at the resort. The staff in all areas were exceptional. Jesus and Daniel were very attentive and helpful poolside. Raull and all the the bellmen did a great job when a taxi was needed. We ate at most of the restaurants at both resorts and found the food and service went above and beyond. The grounds were clean and well maintained. The spa offered a variety of services My massage was amazing. We would definetly consider returning to La Estancia for another vacation.

We have stayed at La Estancia four times and we absolutely love it. It is clean, very well appointed. The food is amazing. The views from La Patron for breakfast are unmatched. We were so impressed that they built a new roof over the patio at La Patron. The Italian restaurant for dinner watching the sunset is amazing. We walked several times into Bucerias which was a nice perk. We will be coming back.

Overall, this resort was a great find. Beautiful and we had an awesome ocean view.

Travelocity, we were very disappointed in your website ads. you advertised this resort as an all inclusive. But it turned out this was not the case when we arrived. This made for an exhaustive and prolonged check in. By the end of it, all staff on duty had taken a turn to try to understand. They tried calling Travelocity to clear things up, with no luck.

You do not get even a slice of toast for breakfast. You have to pay high prices for everything because nothing is close enough. Travelocity, it was disappointing to be mislead this way and being put in a precarious situation. If we had known, we would have taken the Marriot hotel right next to the Marina, making everything accessible within walking distance.

Also the La Estancia charges USD12 per day which is only mentioned after ticket purchase. Hotel wanted a different amount (higher) This did not make sense, but we had not choice as we could not cancel and go elsewhere last minute on a short getaway.
The perks offered to us, well, what a headache. An issue at every turn. Just make it simple and charge what you need and make it clear to the buyers. Just know there are other suppliers out there.

We spent most of our time outside the resort due the inconveniences. The restaurants on the resort was way too overpriced. It cost more than what we would pay at home (Canada)

Very disappointed in this property!! The rates were extremely high but the service and property were less than stellar. First off, the room keys didn't work. EVERYONE who checked in on Friday and at least thru Sunday could not get into their rooms without having someone from Bell service escort them to their rooms. Then, Wireless did not work at all in any of the rooms! The elevators constantly didn't work. And worst of all, Management did not offer any of the guests any perks or goodwill to accommodate for the less than good experience at their property.

The team asked everyone to WRITE DOWN their credit card numbers, security code, address and signature to sign with a BLANK TOTAL upon checkout. It's insane! Since their system was hacked and they couldn't get it back up and running for at least a few days, why would guests trust this property with safeguarding this valuable and sensitive information??? Please avoid this property until Management gets its act together. The staff is very nice and friendly, aside from the ladies at the front desk who are NOT very helpful or accommodating at all.

Great property - nice, clean and nice service. ONE big major minus is for food. Food is terrible, breakfast buffe is bad ( not even ham and cheese options), very few options. Hotel has several restaurants, but food is tasteless, seafood served raw, or crazy oversalted. We never ate outside of the resort and after a week of trying everything and all the restaurants, my husband got badly sick with severe diarrhea - no medications was working and he had to visit doctor after arrival back to Canada.

While there was an issue at check-in (no record of my free breakfast, and an additional $15/night fee which was more than the $12/night previously emailed), hotel management made it right. The staff and the service was fantastic, as was the food. The hotel is safe and the view from the room was fantastic! It was weird sharing a balcony with another room, but luckily we never saw or heard our neighbors. It's a lovely place, ESPECIALLY as an Expedia VIP member with the perks!

Never again!!!

Don’t waste your time or money on this place. They’re only nice if you book their all inclusive package. Upon arrival, Alma stated our room wasn’t ready and it would only be 30 minutes more. She invited us to go have snacks at La Parrilla, which we did. The service there was mediocre, the food was terrible. They asked if we had any food restrictions, I said yes cause I’m pregnant so I wanted to make sure my food was cooked properly. The food wasn’t cooked properly and made us sick. We also ordered food that wasn’t given to us and I had to remind the waiter because he kept bringing the wrong thing. We paid and left a tip, later to find out that they charge you a 15% tip without consent and without notice. I didn’t know if this until checkout time.

After eating, about an hour and a half later, we went back to Alma to get our room keys. The room still wasn’t ready. She proceeded to make us wait another 20 minutes, mind you I’m already feeling sick from the undercooked food, she gave us attitude and even laughed cause I was getting frustrated. I noticed I wasn’t the only one who had been waiting for their room key, as another gentleman kept asking her if he was going to get his key soon. Again, she chuckled and told him he needed to wait longer and that they only had the all-inclusive rooms ready.

That day, she also mentioned that they would be having a “Mexican fiesta” at their sister resort Flamingos. She said it was from 6pm-10pm which actually ended at 8:45

I like this hotel, but be advised that this hotel has a policy of never accomodating a late check-out or room upgrade request regardless of your Expedia status. My comments are based on having Platinum status and having stayed here multiple times over a period of many years. My experience is that most flights out of PVR leave in the late afternoon and the 11am check-out time can have you waiting in the airport vs. by the pool (or someplace else) for 3-4 hours before your flight. The hotel management doesn't seem to understand how valuable a simple late check-out time can be to a travelling family.

I feel compelled to share my recent experience at this hotel to help others make informed decisions when booking their stay. My intention is not only to address the misleading information on Expedia but also to shed light on various issues encountered during my visit.

1- Misleading Booking Information: I booked an All-Inclusive stay through Expedia, specifically selecting Villa La Estancia Beach Resort & Spa Riviera Nayarit All Inclusive. Upon arrival, I discovered that my reservation was for a room-only stay, causing unexpected expenses and inconvenience.
2- Accommodation Issues: During repairs to the glass sliding door, our bath tub glass was shattered by hotel repair staff. The hotel did not have a replacement available, and we were left without a screen between the bath tub and vanity.
3- Hygiene and Safety Concerns: Bees were prevalent everywhere, even in indoor restaurants.
4- Limited Amenities: No coffee service at the pool, and coffee is only available in indoor restaurants, accessible by reservation only. No Buffet restaurant, bar, or coffee shop in the hotel. Guests need to walk to the adjacent hotel, Flamingo, at specific times for these amenities.
5- Internet and Connectivity Issues: Weak hotel internet, no internet at the beach, and no internet access at the adjacent hotel, Flamingo.

We stayed only 3 nights without all-inclusive and glad we didn't. Our meal at the steak house was fabulous, but the one breakfast buffet was unspectacular. The toaster wasn't working, flies all over the bread, no sausage or bacon. Everything seemed tasteless. We ordered nachos at the pool and we were disappointed with them too. Hardly any cheese, guacamole was very bland and very pricy too. Service around the pool was slow. I would never stay here again, sorry. Just not worth the price.

The promotion on your web site is misleading

When I booked your hotel, the website said the stay was all inclusive. When I got to the hotel, the front desk lady said that it wasn’t all inclusive and that all inclusive would be $140 extra per day per person. It was too late to cancel because I did not have any other place to stay so I had to pass on the all inclusive. When I ask the price of the hotel if I would have booked directly with them it was half the price hotel.com charged me ( I payed 550 a night when they would have charged me 350 per night without the all inclusive) I am furious and sad to have my Christmas vacation ruined by having to pay out of pocket for meals due to this company’s lack of clarity in the description of the hotel. I am disappointed in how much I have promoted this company with friends and family after this incident.

This was the most beautiful and peaceful resort we have ever been to. The grounds were stunning, the beach was pristine and there were always lounge chairs. The pictures simply don’t do this resort justice. The staff were also amazing. Many thanks to Alexia and Ulysses for the additional care and attention; they went above and beyond and made such an impact on our experience in Nuevo Vallarta. The food was good and margaritas excellent.

The hotel was good and the staff were good. Ordered food a couple of times one room service and one by the pool. Food and drinks way over priced. On top of that, everything is priced with taxes included but yet they added taxes on the bill and they added tip for themselves without disclosing it first.
They also took a physical copy of my credit card upon check in without telling me or my consent, when that should have been entered in the system for privacy reason. Anyone accessing that kind of sensitive information should at least disclose it. I have never had my physical credit card photocopied. There should be no need. It also raises a lot of red flags.

The staff was very warm and accommodating for the whole trip. We arrived early and the room was not ready. Didn't know but Raul stayed with our bags the full time it took to get the room keys. In the main restaurant Carlos, Lorena, Paloma, & Julissa were fantastic. Friday night we had another dinner there and there was a pianist playing. All of a sudden Eduardo started singing in a beautiful voice that was totally unexpected. We had three dinners in the main restaurant and all were fantastic. We did have a buffet on Thursday night at the Mexican restaurant over at the Flamingo. The food was top shelf all the way. There was a mariachi band that made the evening. As we left, Julian & Omar saw us off. Staying a week, the staff got to know us and made us feel like family.

I stayed for 5 nights and 3 nights AC was broken. I had a medical procedure and choose to stay at a 4 star resort for my recovery, unfortunately NO AC during a heat wave was a DISASTER and they wouldn't change my room or fix the AC.

Loved our experience and time at Villa Estancia. The staff went above and beyond for us. Huge shout to Hilda and Fernanda for the massages, Bianca for the warm welcome and Dani over at membership sales for making us feel at home and part of the family.

The eveing options were limited with nothing close by. Another negative experience, was our time at the Japanese restaurant where the food was subpar and hostess was rude.

We will definitely come back here again though!

The Villa La Estancia brand continues to give Dawn & I a consistent, excellent vacation experience! We vacationed at the Estancia in Cabo a couple years back and this sister resort gave us the exact same VIP treatment and experience that will keep us coming back to this brand. The friendly \"happy\" staff all have tremendous hearts to serve each and every day. The resort is very clean, well-manicured and made us feel very safe. Be sure to get your \"cambio\" money changed since they don't offer that here but they do in the resort next door. The free coffee service in the lobby was a big plus. We feel the richness in the lush landscape, all the marble and high-quality fixtures and all the happy people there serving and helping you... all made for a wonderful vacation. Highly-recommend!

La Estancia is great - however some things have changed dramatically since our last visit (pre-covid). Prices at the little grocery store and in general are significantly higher - no doubt in attempt to recover lost income from the last couple of years. The staff are all great and very helpful. It is very quiet at the first of May - some travelers may not like that. We did. Generally 5- 25 people in the pool area. Would be great for families or those looking for clean, quiet vacation. If you want more noise - go to Flamingo next door - pay less - just not really as nice.

A lifesaver

Very warm and welcoming. Easy check in, Alma was very friendly and efficient. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable with a beautiful balcony. All of the staff work hard to make your stay the best it can be. A very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful grounds and amazing restaurant. we booked in for only three days to escape a horrendous experience elsewhere(leaving prematurely). My wife felt the three days here really saved our holiday.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel. While I had booked an all-inclusive package, I was disappointed to find that the minibar was never stocked, despite paying for it. This was particularly disappointing for my children, who were looking forward to having some treats during our stay.

Furthermore, I was disappointed to find that the shower curtain was missing from the bathroom, despite being promised that the room would be changed to rectify this issue. One of the lights in the room was also flickering, which was quite bothersome. Despite making several phone calls to request that these issues be resolved, they were never addressed.

On a positive note, the spa experience was amazing, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, the issues with the room and minibar greatly impacted the overall quality of my stay at your hotel.

I would appreciate it if you could address these issues and offer some form of compensation for the inconvenience caused during my stay.
