Overall I would recommend this place. It’s has a variety of amenities one side has a warm pool and the side was the cold pool. We were able to access the beach at will. I’ll be back !

We had an excellent ocean view from our room balcony. It would have been nice to have the salt cleaned from the windows. The remainder of the hotel is vet well kept. I only wish that there was a restaurant in the hotel and not just a coffee bar. The staff were excellent to deal with and cordial.

The waterfront room and view clearly carry the experience. If the purpose of the trip was to wake up to water and unwind visually, that’s a real plus. A great view can elevate an entire stay. That said, decor was ok at best and not the cleanest. View is a luxury.

We enjoyed our stay here. Staff cleaned our room everyday which we appreciated. With the exception of the staff member that checked us in all staff was very friendly. The bartenders were great as well. The view from our room was amazing! The elevators were not working the best. The pool and beach area were very well kept and fun. There was a bit of construction going on but it never bothered us. It was a 5-7 minute drive to Old San Juan from the hotel and the uber rides were inexpensive and always available. We would definitely recommend staying here!!

The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Pools are clean and well kept. Excellent location with the entrance to the beach directly from the pool area. Nice shallow areas at the beach for snorkeling.

They only had one elevator that was working. The ice machines on each floor did not work. Our key card got deactivated several times where we had to get a new key card. Water pressure in the bathroom was really low. The pool that they depicted is not that big and the beach area is not even a beach. I was very disappointed with the accomodations. I would not stay there again nor recommend anyone to stay there.

Hotel was tired in need of updating. Many items worn or broken. Staff shortage and some staff not fully trained. Only one elevator working for a majority of the stay. 2nd elevator did work some of the time but 3rd out completly.
Lizards kept going in the pool almost daily which closed the pool for 3 hours each time. Obviously a problem and should be addressed.
If it was not for the excellant bartenders at the moon bar in the center lobby the rating would have only been two stars.

Room was definitely different. Elevator was not operating properly when I first arrived. Halls had a lot of paint and molding damage. I like that there was a walkway to the hotel across the street, but didn't like that I had to go over there just to get food. The outdoor area was lovely though.

There was a cockroach in the room walked over me while sleeping. Elevators were not working properly. Food is bad and expensive. Drinks are too expensive ($20 for one drink after tip and taxes). I suggest people buy drinks outside and stuck in the refrigerator.

The room has a beautiful view. They need to touch up the balcony area though. A little paint and the railing could be tightened up a little. The couch inside the room needs a good cleaning or maybe just an upgrade. If your getting breakfast included don’t think there’s this big old breakfast you can chose from it’s basic. Coffee, muffin or a jimmy deans egg and cheese croissants. Hotel was clean the staff was friendly. The machine you have to use to check your car in and out was so annoying some days it work right away somedays it didn’t. Overall I liked the hotel it was a 7/10.

Great room. Beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The Playacita Del Condado beach is right in front of the hotel. Safe and clean water. No rip currents or riptides at this beach unlike other Condado beaches. Excellent breakfast at the hotel. Good housekeeping. Really comfortable beds in the room.

We had a wonderful stay at The Condado Plaza Hotel. The location is fantastic and the staff is incredibly welcoming. At check-in, we experienced an issue with our room, but Daisy at the front desk and the manager, Jose, handled it promptly and made sure we were completely taken care of. The grounds are beautiful and very kid-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

For the people leaving bad reviews. Understand a few things. This is a historic hotel, which in my opinion adds to the character. Yes it’s old. Look past the blemishes and enjoy the view, space and proximity to everything. It’s safe and all the workers there are amazing. Me and my wife had a great time. One working elevator issue wasn’t as bad as people said. To avoid long check out lines just download the Hilton app. Check out on your phone and leave.

Upon checking in the first room, had an issue with the AC went to the front desk, clerk they addressed it with no issues by assigning us to another room. Pictures on Expedia definitely doesn’t match with existing conditions. The guys at the bar were pretty cool Anthony & hector their energy and Vibes made the trip Better . Also was bummed out that there wasn't a food menu at the Bar after 7pm . This hotel has a lot of potential. I’m sure these items will be addressed in its next remodel.

The room had a foul smell. The next day we were able to move into another room. The rooms outdated and the bed was not comfortable. The entire hotel needs to be renovated or demolished. The hotel is very outdated. The nightly charge was too high for this hotel.

The outdoor areas are very nice other than treating you like a child on a field trip by INSISTING that you wear a different colored wristband every day to prove you're a guest instead of building a damn fence where the road meets the beach area. We.got there on Monday evening. There are 2 elevaters in the lobby, one was broken. Apparently, it's impossible to get an elevator fixed in a whole week. The one working elevator was HORRIBLE. You could grow a beard waiting for it. That's not me saying it, EVERYONE did. We were on the fifth floor and you hit the button and it v wiuld skip your floor 2-3 times before finally stopping. The lower tier staff...maids, front door, pool waitstaff were all friendly and helpful. However, the desk staff was cold and indifferent. There is a deli next to the lobby sign says they are open 9-1 and then again ftom 5-11, not so much. The BAR is open 5-11 even though the sign says the deli is. When I asked the woman at the desk, she just pointed and said NOTHING. At one point I asked the front desk for change, they sent me to the concierge who sent to the bar who said \"try rhe gift shop\" ridiculous. Never did get the change. The building is at LEAST 5 years past due on a TOTAL makeover...plugs missing covers with exposed wires, everything was rusty and worn.

The presidential suite was not anything like the photos. The 10th floor hallway, smell of weed zero amenities tried to get in touch with the hotel manager. No one is ever available. Hotel is understaffed and security is horrible. I will say the valet crew was great.

But on this stay, the AC in the room made a thump noise every time it engaged, the maid service actually SHORT SHEETED the bed, by using a small top sheet as the bottom sheet, and the staff member left cleaning supplies in the bathroom. Also, the only lunch option was at the pool, if you can handle the 1000 decibels of dance music. Sorry, not going back.

The Hotel was difficult from the start.
Impossible to get through the front desk.
Took 48 hours. Refused to switch dates for stay due to cancelled flight. Would only change the day coming to next day. And would have lost $ on one night, if I didn’t arrive. No understanding, no apologies , no compensation for the frustration and stress due to snow storm.
No manager or supervisor came over- had to contact Expedia to contact supervisor when arriving. Hotel never emailed or called for confirmation of hotel. As well expedia and hotel telling me 2 different stories about my stay.
- Luckily I did have a very kind front desk staff named Daisy, which helped me a great deal and explaining everything.
- The room was very nice and clean, nice balcony and very comfortable bed,
However the shower design was not good, water would keep running on to the tiles towards the sink, because it is very flat, and there’s nothing to prevent the water from passing - so constantly had to put towels to gather the water and string out after.
- No water bottles in room, not even 1.
- Had issue with safe, someone had to come and reset. Although someone came quickly.
Some of the other staff was not too helpful with directions or recommendations for certain restaurants- There was very few that was extremely helpful.
Lastly when checking out there was no one at the front desk, had to walk over to the concierge and check out with them.
- Bottom line , not good experience. Choose a different hotel.

Room smelled strongly of black mold. It was consistently damp for our entire stay. When I reached out to the hotel via their chat portal, they declined to respond. My elderly parents ended up sick by the end of the trip due to mold. And we ended up having to extend our stay for a night due to a snow storm which made it even worse. Room maintenance staff was great.

Hotel was overpriced for what it has to offer. The food in the pool area tasted like microwaved food and the drinks were a little expensive ($14 for a cocktail and $10 for a beer). The structure seems to be deteriorating with many damages visible. The staff were pleasant and helpful to interact with. The front desk never answered the phone. One elevator out of the two was out of service our whole stay (6 Days) and never saw anyone working on it. The room itself was pretty nice and clean (Ocean view), some of the appliances were rusted and most of the electrical plugs did not worked. The hotel is situated in a nice area and very walkable. Hotel does not have room service, which is an inconvenience when wanting to eat late at night.

The room was neglected. The room door did not lock so we had to use the latch for security. The sink faucets were old and one was tight to turn. The coffee machine was a disaster and leaked coffee and water all over. The shower faucet hung loose and was difficult to adjust for hot and cold. The TV did not work, the clock did not run or was not connected. The balcony door also hard to lock. There was rust on the lamp stand and light dust on the chair. The safe had run out of battery. We called to have the safe fixed but did not find out about all the other problems till late evening and by that time were too tired, just wanted to sleep. I called and told the manager about the issues and he apologized, said that he would take off the resort fee from the bill. He did not in the end. We were glad to leave. The hotel staff were nice.

This hotel has seen better days, the pictures are clearly from when it was built. It was ok cleanliness wise but the age is showing, some staining on seats, dusty air vents, our electric door lock broke twice. Some staff were lovely otherwise were just shy of rude. In short, it was fine, we loved the pools & beach area, but otherwise not a place I would recommend.
