The bathroom was dirty, the plaster was showing on a painted wall and the carpet was filthy. There was no soap in the bathroom.
Outside had a beautiful view of the ocean. However, even the outside needed repairs, painting. I had stayed at the Caribe with my family 47 years ago and the hotel was nice but even then it could have used some touch up. I had thought by now the hotel would have done some improvements and upgrades. The bathrooms need total renovation.

views and property were amazing! ocean front room had fabulous views but bathroom door was barn door on slides. poor concept for privacy. the room could have had a kerig opposed to junk coffee pot for early mornings. staff was amazing. we had a fantastic time.

We booked an ocean view balcony premiere room but was placed in a garden view room because we arrived a day late due to flight delays/weather, then we had no hot water for showering until we were placed in the original room we booked a day later, they did give us credit for good and beverages and a night free but are still waiting for the refund…. The property is spectacular and staff polite.

Everything was perfect. The room had a distinct but faint wet dog smell but didn’t bother us that much. The door closer seems to be loose and made some noise. Other than that everything else was perfect. Hotel staff, amenities, the upgrade they gave us for our honeymoon was above and beyond. Will definitely be coming back soon!

I have been a guest at the Caribe Hilton several times. My first stay there was over 20 years ago as my children were young. I still find some of the staff that worked there then. Things have definitely changed, but let’s start with the positives: dining is top notch and guest service staff as well. The beach, garden and outdoors were immaculate and breathtaking. My recent stay, however, left me wondering if I’ll return. The prices per night have skyrocketed (I dont lnow how they can legally rack up so many fees!). Our stay without food was over $900 a night. The rooms are decaying to the point that the mattress had his and hers sulci… lol! Housekeeping staff is essentially absent; I asked for towels on my second day and these never arrived. We had to take the trash to the lobby and add it to and already overflowing bin at the lobby of the Wave wing. Five hours later, we returned to the wing and the trash bin had turned into piles. Not once I was offered a room cleaning, even when I inquired about it, They said sure but no one showed up. The toiletries on the largebottles smelled rancid. The security person at the pool on day 3 of my stay was speaking on his cell phone and ranting obscenities in Spanish… not pleasant to hear and no one to supervise… the place is in skeleton crew and staff looks super overworked particularly at Nectar during morning hours. Overall, I felt as if I was staying at an overpriced air bnb. They should broadcast it as such.

Yes room was clean but apparently engineering was in the room before we got there to repair the AC. He left his cart and phone plugged in. Had issues with the AC the rest of the week but didn’t say anything we were able to deal with it. We didn’t want to wait around for someone to come and work on it. Staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. The place is beautiful and they have great amenities.

However. We booked massages for us both for Monday morning at 9 am. We were walking out our door at 8:30 and got a call to cancel our appointment because one of their techs didn’t make it in. We rescheduled for Friday morning same time. Again got a call at 8:30 stating that one of the technicians had an emergency and couldn’t be there and again got canceled. I was really agitated about this since it ruined my plans for two days. This was very unprofessional. I must say though that the spa is a third party from the resort

Beautiful hotel with multiple onsite restaurants, stores and a private beach. The only thing we did not like was there are no microwaves in the rooms. It was difficult with our baby as we needed to warm up his milk multiple times. I had to make so many trips to the lobby where microwaves were placed for use by customers. It was inconvenient. Otherwise no complaints. Front desk staff was awesome. Great service. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Very disappointed with this hotel. The prices inside the hotel (mini bar, shop, and services) are extremely inflated — in some cases nearly 10 times higher than outside stores. It feels unreasonable and not worth the money. I strongly recommend checking prices elsewhere before purchasing anything here.

Staff was really amazing. Amenities were wonderful. Hot tub temperature fluctuates but when it was cooler it was a nice reprieve from the heat. ADA accessible - all pools have lifts - the hotel has a beach wheelchair for guests use - ramps everywhere. Overall a lovely experience. The restaurants also have great food.

We are ready for a repeat performance. I am a Hilton Honors Members and have stayed at many Hiltons, but the Caribe Hilton was like coming home. Of course, I wasn't wild about the check in, but the staff were the best. The best mofongo in PR at Lola's Restaurant. The best service.The grounds were well kept and we always felt safe at any time of day.

The location to Conando Beach was ideal and you will not believe this but you can walk to Old San Juan in 30 minutes. We had a great experience and we are planning a return

Hotel was disappointing, water was great in the ocean and staff were generally very friendly especially pool staff. However many other problems like broken safe, broken door, and water given by resort having a sour flavour indicative of them going very cheap on it. We also had room service throw out a bag of our clothing which was insane and there was no resolution on it. Most of all a very predatory “fine print” resort fee that takes money from your deposit pretty much cutting it in half. I’m paying a daily resort fee so that room service can throw out my expensive clothes.

The property is absolutely beautiful. The location - almost surrounded by ocean. Ocean views with no obstructions - San Juan can be seen on one side only but the buildings are far away. Grounds are kept immaculate. Plenty of lounge chairs, hammocks, and other outdoor furniture for all guests. No worrying about being able to find a spot to relax. All the staff was extremely happy and very friendly - they truly enjoyed their jobs and life. Room was very comfortable clean, easy
And quick room service and cleaning every day. I stayed here at the very last minute with my teenage daughter for a relaxing do nothing vacation. This property was perfect - the location on the water, proximity to the airport, amenities, comfort, it was perfect.

So here’s a real take on it for me.
The resort is phenomenal. Pools are clean, refreshing(chilly lol) and the look and set up of it all was great.
Hammocks were a great afternoon nap.
Beach area with calm waters… crystal clear water. Wasn’t even too salty lol.
Staff was as pleasant as they could be!
There are a couple of restaurants right next to the resort that stupid cheap for food and are delicious!
The only complaint if you had to, would have been the rooms. They were not bad at all, just dated.
Being 2026 a tv that doesn’t connect to Netflix or any other app was just a bummer. No usb outlets so bring a bock for the wall. The bathroom door was a barn style so never really shuts just slides with open gaps on all sides. The bed was comfy and pillows were all different so it was great to choose your own adventure per se.
But it’s a resort!… you aren’t there to hang out in a hotel room!
We are going back. Already booked next Dec.

Rooms are a bit rough, showing many signs of wear and could use updating. The entire place feels dated and ignored by Corporate. Pool was cold as ice and barely anyone was in it except for some die hard kids. A bit dirty too Hot tub looked like someone urinated in it. Lots of empty commercial units on the first floor. Also, we lost power a few times and had to listen to an enormous generator hum. The only bright spot was the staff. I found everyone from check in to the pool bar and room service staff very friendly. But I would not stay here again due to the other issues. I expected more from a Hilton.

I had two rooms booked had to get changed 3 times. First two rooms were out in a far wing garden suite away from all amenities and you have to walk down unlit halls. Second room I had a significant leak in the ceiling and I had to move out 1130pm had an early morning flight. Phone didn’t work in room requested a replacement and never arrived. Couldn’t even call the front desk. The associate who was helping me told me i had to move everything out of the room and then they can issue a new room. I told him i will be out of all the rooms early in the AM if i could just pack in the morning. He got the manager and it was approved. Everytime you go to the front desk the associate goes to the back room for at least 10 minutes and then returns very odd. Safe didn’t work in both rooms the hotel isn’t bad overall but the maintenance is not up to par. The manager was nice removed the resort fee but it’s not about that for me on vacation. Things happen I understand but you need to maintain the facility if you are charging a premium.

Do not be fooled by the online pictures. I paid $700 a night for what I thought would be a premium experience, but this was the most disappointing stay I have ever had. The property is in a state of total disrepair and the \"solutions\" offered by staff were a joke.
Room 1: Disgusting and Broken
The first room was unacceptable. The furniture was broken, there were holes in the carpet, and the cleanliness was non-existent—I even found hair in the bathtub. To make matters worse, both the sink and the tub were completely clogged and would not drain.
Room 2: No Better
After complaining, I was moved to a second room, which was just as bad. This room had a clogged tub and a broken (clogged) safe. It is clear that the maintenance issues are not isolated; they are systemic across the entire hotel.
Poor Property Maintenance & Insulting Service
The common areas are no better. The pool deck chairs were so badly stained they were unusable. When I brought these massive failures to the staff's attention, the only thing they offered was to remove a $50 resort fee. On a $700-a-night bill, that is an insult.
The Verdict:
You will be deeply disappointed if you stay here. They are charging five-star prices for a one-star experience. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually values hygiene and guest satisfaction.

This is an old property and it shows. Our room had water coming through the ceiling and out of the walls flooding the bathroom. The hot tub was murky. The outdoor space is poorly maintained with a fair amount of trash visible. The hotel was unable to switch our room in a timely fashion related to the flooding. We were very disappointed. We stayed with a group of family members, and they each had issues with their room as well with entire buildings being without hot water and another family member having significant flooding issues.

The hotel was ok. Their system went down so everything had to be charged to the room. Everyday something was wrong with the system. I’m actually still waiting for my receipt that I asked for a few times, but never received! No email no nothing. Then I had a charged from another room which they were going to remove and never did. I ended up paying for someone else’s bill and Chris at the front desk was supposed to call me when everything was taken care of and never did! Usually one person worked the front desk so there was always a line for the simplest question. So check out in person instead of through your phone, had I known I would have done that in person. The hotel did have a good location, Old San Juan in car is less then 10 mins and a few beaches around the area.
