This was the second time I’ve stayed at the Caribe Hilton. Grounds beautiful, staff very pleasant, food at restaurants delicious.
A little bump checking in, resolved. Walls in rooms paper thin. Could hear people in next room clearly as though one room. Tile floor treacherous when wet.
Overall nice stay.

The property management and security allowed a drunken wedding party to endanger children on the floating dock, knocking one off and hitting her head. Also, allowed for them to physically assault a man, and verbally threaten a woman’s life. Hilton failed to remove the guest and provide a safe environment.

I loved staying at this hotel paying extra for the best beach view from one of the highest floors. Staff was very welcoming and took care of me and my partner right away. They had plenty of pools including a kiddie pool, adults bar and a hot tub. CONS: No free breakfast or meals it is considered extra. The room was pretty clean except for their towels.... check the TOWELS! it was dirty and had a pubic hair from previous guest. Which means they don't change fresh towels. CONS: PAID EXTRA MONEY WHEN ARRIVED AT HOTEL I HAD TO PAY OVER $200 DOLLARS EXTRA FOR EXTRA FEES I WASN'T AWARE OR CHARGED HERE AT EXPEDIA. 4/5 HOTEL!

Only issue I had is day of check in @4:30pm my room wasn’t ready. But we were able to walk around the property and the amazing views by the beach and pool. Main problem was after I was told our room was ready, they did not have the room I booked. 2 adults with 4 kids they tired to give us two separate rooms not connecting which would not work for us. To try to make it better, they gave us 3 connecting rooms. The area and condition of these rooms were not great at all. No hot water, no ice machine and just out dated. Completely ruined my daughter’s 16th birthday. Which was the very first night! We lost time which was frustrating. We then had to wait for the next day to get our original room which was great but major inconvenience to our travel plans.

Hotel and grounds were immaculate and beautiful! The staff was congenial and the concierge/ travel/staff Tues April 7th very helpful in downloading my ticket for my flight to my wallet to lessen the wait for us at the airport.
Food and service on the Rustica restaurant was excellent! We are going to return again soon!

It’s a comfortable, family-friendly place that makes a good base for day trips to various parts of the island. Has many restaurants to choose from. The pool and beach are great. The lobby and resort are very nice. My 3rd floor ocean view, was a peek at the ocean after mostly a dirty, garbage polluted roof. The room was very musty smelling and was startled by a couple of cockroaches. The balcony was dirty, and the shower has no divider, so the bathroom floods. The lighting was dim and yellow in the bathroom.

They need to update this room.

The property is nice, great beach, pools and places to lounge. Get a spot early though, they fill up fast.

The property is beautiful, in a great location, and most of the staff were very polite and welcoming. Unfortunately, the room was a major disappointment.

We booked an ocean-view suite and paid about $2,000 extra for the upgrade, which nearly doubled the cost of our stay. We chose the suite because we were traveling with a toddler and hoped to still enjoy some time as a couple in the evenings, including relaxing and watching TV before bed. While the room did face the ocean, its condition did not match the price or expectations.

The carpet looked very old and dirty, with sections coming apart. There was visible rust in multiple areas, which may be somewhat understandable for a waterfront property, but the peeling, scratched, and deteriorating furniture made the room feel neglected. Under the bathroom sinks, the exposed plumbing was extremely dirty and very noticeable.

The TVs were outdated and extremely restrictive. Although the system claimed apps could be installed and inputs could be changed, neither worked. We tried both TVs and even attempted to connect a laptop, but nothing was allowed, so the relaxing evenings we planned didn’t happen.

This was our first family vacation, something we had saved for a long time, and the room simply wasn’t worth the upgrade. On a positive note, the food was delicious and the bartenders made great, strong drinks.

Everything was great except the person at the front desk when we checked in went on and on how many Hilton Honors points we would receive from our stay, and encouraged us to charge everything on the property to the room so we would receive 2X points. So we spent over $1,300 on the property in four days just for that reason when we could have gone elsewhere, only to find out our stay was ineligible for Hilton Honor points since it was booked through Expedia. When I brought this miscommunication to Hilton’s attention, they basically replied “So sad, too bad.”

This trip we met Ivan who works at the beach and pool and he took the time to ask us about our plans and recommend several places to visit. Rooms were very dated for the price we paid. Rooms were also not very clean. My son found someone’s fake fingernail on the floor next to the bed. Hallways smelled musty but very cool compared to the inside of our room which had trouble keeping cool. Pools are very nice and restaurants are good. Our stay started with a major issue. The morning after our late arrival (1:30 AM), we discovered our room carpet was completely soaked due to a ceiling leak. This caused water damage to my suitcase, including shoes, clothing, and personal items, as well as our 5-year-old daughter’s backpack with books and toys. We estimate about $1,000 in damage.

Although we were moved to another room and given one night compensation, this was agreed to before we understood the full extent of the damage. When I later asked about additional help and laundry support, the process was frustrating and required multiple trips to the front desk. Communication between managers was inconsistent and we did not receive much empathy during the situation. The only apology we received was from a security guard helping with the report.

We were also initially charged for both nights and had to return to have the reimbursement corrected. Additionally, both hot tubs were out of service.

The location is great, but the way this situation was handled took time away from our family vacation and did not meet the level of service we expected from a Hilton property.

There are plenty of hotels in the area that will treat you better. If you have a choice, stay somewhere else.

This hotel was in a great location and has a beautiful view. We booked the bi-level premium suite and really expected it to blow us away for the price. It was nice, but very dated. The carpet was old (and still wet on the stairs when we first arrived), you need two people to open the sliding glass doors on the balcony, the pictures show a sink in the kitchenette but there isn't one, and the refrigerator was one of the smallest ones I've seen. The tiles were cracked in the master shower, and the hot water heater is bipolar. In the morning you can barely cut it on before it burns you, but by the afternoon, you can't get it hot at all. I didn't notice when booking that there is an additional $50 per day resort fee that will be added to your bill. Unlike most Hiltons, you also do not receive a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet is $35 per person. There are a good variety of restaurants on site, but they are also pricey. There are several local restaurants around that are great quality and more affordable, but we were told that we couldn't bring any outside food to the pool area. They literally check your bookbag every time you go to the pool for glass, speakers, and outside food. The first 2 being understandable, but this means you are stuck ordering off their poolside menu that includes a $24 burger and $20 grilled chicken sandwich. There are plenty of chairs which was nice compared to some resorts. Overall, we had a great time, but I wouldn't rebook at this hotel.

The bathroom was dirty, the plaster was showing on a painted wall and the carpet was filthy. There was no soap in the bathroom.
Outside had a beautiful view of the ocean. However, even the outside needed repairs, painting. I had stayed at the Caribe with my family 47 years ago and the hotel was nice but even then it could have used some touch up. I had thought by now the hotel would have done some improvements and upgrades. The bathrooms need total renovation.

I have been a guest at the Caribe Hilton several times. My first stay there was over 20 years ago as my children were young. I still find some of the staff that worked there then. Things have definitely changed, but let’s start with the positives: dining is top notch and guest service staff as well. The beach, garden and outdoors were immaculate and breathtaking. My recent stay, however, left me wondering if I’ll return. The prices per night have skyrocketed (I dont lnow how they can legally rack up so many fees!). Our stay without food was over $900 a night. The rooms are decaying to the point that the mattress had his and hers sulci… lol! Housekeeping staff is essentially absent; I asked for towels on my second day and these never arrived. We had to take the trash to the lobby and add it to and already overflowing bin at the lobby of the Wave wing. Five hours later, we returned to the wing and the trash bin had turned into piles. Not once I was offered a room cleaning, even when I inquired about it, They said sure but no one showed up. The toiletries on the largebottles smelled rancid. The security person at the pool on day 3 of my stay was speaking on his cell phone and ranting obscenities in Spanish… not pleasant to hear and no one to supervise… the place is in skeleton crew and staff looks super overworked particularly at Nectar during morning hours. Overall, I felt as if I was staying at an overpriced air bnb. They should broadcast it as such.

Yes room was clean but apparently engineering was in the room before we got there to repair the AC. He left his cart and phone plugged in. Had issues with the AC the rest of the week but didn’t say anything we were able to deal with it. We didn’t want to wait around for someone to come and work on it. Staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. The place is beautiful and they have great amenities.

However. We booked massages for us both for Monday morning at 9 am. We were walking out our door at 8:30 and got a call to cancel our appointment because one of their techs didn’t make it in. We rescheduled for Friday morning same time. Again got a call at 8:30 stating that one of the technicians had an emergency and couldn’t be there and again got canceled. I was really agitated about this since it ruined my plans for two days. This was very unprofessional. I must say though that the spa is a third party from the resort

Beautiful hotel with multiple onsite restaurants, stores and a private beach. The only thing we did not like was there are no microwaves in the rooms. It was difficult with our baby as we needed to warm up his milk multiple times. I had to make so many trips to the lobby where microwaves were placed for use by customers. It was inconvenient. Otherwise no complaints. Front desk staff was awesome. Great service. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Very disappointed with this hotel. The prices inside the hotel (mini bar, shop, and services) are extremely inflated — in some cases nearly 10 times higher than outside stores. It feels unreasonable and not worth the money. I strongly recommend checking prices elsewhere before purchasing anything here.

Staff was really amazing. Amenities were wonderful. Hot tub temperature fluctuates but when it was cooler it was a nice reprieve from the heat. ADA accessible - all pools have lifts - the hotel has a beach wheelchair for guests use - ramps everywhere. Overall a lovely experience. The restaurants also have great food.

We are ready for a repeat performance. I am a Hilton Honors Members and have stayed at many Hiltons, but the Caribe Hilton was like coming home. Of course, I wasn't wild about the check in, but the staff were the best. The best mofongo in PR at Lola's Restaurant. The best service.The grounds were well kept and we always felt safe at any time of day.

The location to Conando Beach was ideal and you will not believe this but you can walk to Old San Juan in 30 minutes. We had a great experience and we are planning a return
