My stay at Abitta Boutique Hotel was overall pretty average. The hotel itself is fine, but it didn’t really stand out in any particular way. The room was clean enough and had the basic amenities you’d expect, but nothing about the experience felt especially memorable.
The staff were polite, but interactions were pretty minimal and the service felt a bit standard rather than particularly welcoming or attentive. The facilities and common areas were decent, though they felt somewhat basic compared to what I expected from a hotel.
The location is convenient and made it easy to get around the area, which was probably the biggest positive of the stay. Overall, the hotel gets the job done if you’re just looking for a place to sleep, but it didn’t quite deliver an experience that stood out from other mid-range hotels. Clean room and super nice front desk staff. We will stay here again. We stayed for a few days before a cruise and in the 2 bedroom suite and it accommodated 2 couples. The deck was huge and had a great view. The location is easy walking distance to the beach. Loved it.

The room was in decent condition and air conditioner and air purifier was great. The lobby wreaked of smoke from the restaurant and our room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 4. But the staff was really nice at the front desk and we only had to wait about 10 min before our room was ready. They gave us a $25 credit for breakfast the next day but the restaurant overcharged us for breakfast sadly, and once again the restaurant and hotel lobby wreaked of smoke again.

Hotel charged a resort fee, even though it wasn't a resort at all, not on a beach, just a hotel on a city street, no basis at all for a resort fee.

Staff was very helpful and polite. Restaurant food was top notch. Only issues were tv kept freezing up and the A/c unit was loud. Also the staff should warn and post notice the street floods daily during high tides. Several car interiors were compromised with salt water

Cuando nos entregaron el cuarto 1h mas tarde olia a humedad. Las puertas de bañera no cierran bien y se moja hasta afuera. Parece que el extractor del restaurante no funciona, porque cuando cocinan todos los pasillos huelen solo a comida.

That said, the sliding shower door didn’t stay shut properly, likely due to worn-out friction on the track. We had to get a little creative and use a towel to keep it closed, which worked fine.
Despite that minor hiccup, I would definitely stay here again. The comfort, location, and overall vibe made it a worthwhile choice, and I’m sure the renovations will only improve the experience for future guests.

The Abitta is a very well-priced hotel in the Condado neighborhood. It's a good value for the price per night of a room. However, there's a big difference between the quality of the rooms in the front/main building versus the back building. The hotel staff told me the back building used to be a different hotel that the Abitta recently bought and renovated but it in no way lives up to the quality of the rooms in the front building. I stayed in the back building and my room had several issues: 1. the shower didn't work properly (i had to pull the lever every which way to get it to turn on and then turn off and still it would drip); 2. the bathroom window was permanently cracked open and i couldn't close it or open it further; 3. the top lock on the inside of my door was missing the locking mechanism on the doorframe so the top lock didnt work at all; 4. the safe was an older model that was hard to operate and i locked myself out of it on my first night there; and 5. generally the room needed some renovation especially the bathroom.
I will say the staff was extremely friendly and helpful anytime I needed something -- like how to troubleshoot the shower situation and when i locked myself out of the safe in my room (shout out to Oscar!).
This is a great hotel to stay at but only if you're staying in the front/main building so I'd request that when booking and/or when checking in.

The hotel was a nice place and the room was beautiful! We had issues with the TV. It would not work but it may have been due to the storm. The hot water was only lukewarm. We had a $25 coupon for the hotel next door but half the items were not available. They had a nice run punch. Area had a lot of restaurants, a casino, shopping which was all walkable.

I really enjoyed my experience, we have problems with the AC the second night and they change our room immediately, the hotel was clean, you can find to many options around to dinner and I feel safe, the only think idk how the restaurant works with the 25 credit per night, I went to eat breakfast

This was not a good way to start our vacation in Puerto Rico. This hotel is understaffed and the staff who are there are not sufficiently trained. We arrived at 1:30am and it took ages to check in even though it was just us. We were assigned a room and walked in on a family sleeping! It took them awhile to find a new room, which separated our (mostly grown) kids from us in a separate building. Rather than treat the situation with concern and urgency, the front desk staff were laughing and telling the story to other staff!
We had breakfast in the restaurant in the morning, and it took a full hour to get bowls of yogurt and oats. The server did warn us that the kitchen was slow bc she had only one cook but we couldn’t even get water or coffee.
Clearly this hotel has been redesigned and it’s adorable but the staffing is not up to standards.

Very good hotel with excellent staff — friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The property is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making for a pleasant stay. Excellent location.
The only downside was the valet parking, which is handled by a subcontracted service. They were often unavailable when needed, requiring us to call and wait for service.

The check-in process was as smooth as it could be, but the hotel itself didn’t quite live up to the photos online. The walkways were cracked, sink drains were rusted, and the mattress was hard as a brick. There was a shared door between rooms, and we could hear everything from next door. We definitely budgeted on this hotel and got what we paid for.

Hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. On night 3 of our stay our ac and electric stopped working in the middle of the night and they very quickly verified the issue and switched our rooms. The balcony in the first room was decent but the second room faced a dirty alleyway and old building. The booking also came with a $25 voucher to the restaurant/bar 4 out of 5 nights of our stay which was amazing! The hotel was also a quick walk to tons of restaurants and bars. The uber was also very short to the airport and old San Juan. The pool and jacuzzi was not the cleanest and after a few minutes we preferred to exit. Jeff at the bar was very pleasant!

It was ok. Nice decorations and the restaurant was amazing for breakfast. My room was not ready and they gave me another room that was not the best. Besides the bed, nothing else was that good. The bathroom had toilet paper on it when I came in. I was never able to close the shower curtain. No remote for the tv (I got it later after I asked) The carpet on the floor had a huge stain. I was sent to another property next to it so I am not sure if that's another hotel or what. The pool was not clean and people drinking there. I was very disappointed. I would definitely visit the restaurant again.

I don’t do much complaining. I come from quite humble beginning's, and I’m aware that for every amenity a hotel offers, a local family is likely denied equal and adequate services. But a hotel without a working shower is inexcusable. I can let the condition of the bathroom slide. I can let the thin walls and ceilings that allow you to hear far too much of what’s going on around you slide. I could even excuse the voucher for a kitchen that isn’t in service on the specified day the voucher was issued rendering it useless. But I can’t accept paying for a stay somewhere the shower just doesn’t work. For that reason alone I would never recommend anyone staying here. Just pay more to stay a few hundred feet away at La Concha Resort. You will get access to a beach front and pool that will make your stay memorable. But you won’t get that here. The staff is nice. The location isn’t the worst. But respectfully, I didn’t come to see the staff. And I didn’t intend to get in the ocean and not be able to take a decent shower. If I could get some of my money back I would. But if you’re savvy enough to read the reviews, you’ll save yourself the regret, and understand me when I tell you room 3307 in particular is only good for a bed. That’s it.

Check in was a little rocky at first as we had to wait till 4:30 for our room to be ready. We got our vouchers and used them and also got to use the complimentary umbrella and chairs at the beach! An absolute plus! We had brunch and dinner on Sunday 5/25 and the food was amazing! Both our gentleman waiters for brunch and dinner were so friendly and exhibited amazing customer service! Very attentive and on point with making us feel welcomed and our visit special. Tony was our waiter for dinner however I don’t remember the name of our waiter from brunch. Room was very cute and cozy! I took advantage of the gym all 3 days. Location was absolutely convenient for us as we got to experience the festival, beach, food, and casino close by. We will definitely be staying there again in the near future!
