Horrible place, carpets in the hallways are shiny and dirty, the floor of the room is dirty, terrible noise from the neighboring rooms, poor service, relatively expensive hotel. I wouldn't go back there even for free.

Great family stay in a perfect Condado location

We had a really enjoyable stay at the AC Hotel by Marriott San Juan Condado. The hotel is modern, clean, and very well maintained, with a calm and stylish atmosphere that made it easy to relax after busy days exploring Old San Juan.

The location is excellent — just a short walk to the beach and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafés, which made things very convenient when traveling with kids. The rooftop pool area was a real highlight for our family, offering great views and a nice place to unwind.

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and overall the service was smooth and professional. Rooms were comfortable, quiet, and thoughtfully laid out.

All in all, a great base for a family trip to San Juan — we would definitely stay here again.

The room was in good conditions BUT when it came to the cleaning with the housekeeper, the room was never swept and never dusted. The only thing the housekeeper did was put clean towels and make the bed that’s all. The elevator in our section was out of service the entire week we were there and on the other elevator I almost got stuck in it. The front desk service was ok.

The shower was amazing at this hotel, the staff was absolutely amazing - very polite! The only thing I didn’t love was the lighting in the room there were a couple of lamps and then spot lights through out the room hard to look in the mirror with shadows. Otherwise everything was great!!!

Our room was clean, comfortable well appointed modern with simply the best bed to sleep on when you’re on vacation. It’s the reason I booked the hotel and honestly, it really is true. The hotel itself is smaller, but in a great location with a lot of professionals more couples. Less smaller children, which is what we were looking for on our journey.

Nice hotel and most staff were awesome, but the room itself was the worst stay I’ve experienced. To elaborate…Following a flight cancellation on January 31, my husband and I stayed at the AC Hotel Marriott San Juan in room 505 until February 1.

While the front desk and bar staff were friendly, our experience was marred by significant issues with the room. Specifically, the roll-in shower flooded within minutes of use. Additionally, I discovered a clump of hair on the shower wall that did not belong to me.

I immediately alerted the staff. While a team member arrived to place towels down to manage the flooding, two soaking wet towels were left behind, leaving us with only one dry towel. Furthermore, despite being told the hair had been removed, it remained on the wall.

The following morning, I attempted to shower using only the handheld head and ensuring the curtain was closed. The floor began to flood again after only two minutes, forcing me to stop before I could finish washing. The hair was also still visible on the wall.

This experience was unacceptable and highly disappointing. I sent this complaint directly to the hotel who had a manager call me. I was offered an apology and a $55 credit. While I appreciate the gesture, this room was costly with taxes and fees, $600+. Do not stay here unless you are desperate for a room due to a flight cancellation or bad weather and know you’re getting ripped off.

There was an unpleasant smell in the hotel. The thermostat in my room was locked so I could not adjust the temperature. I moved to another room and I could not get the hot water to turn on in the shower or bathroom sink despite following the instructions. The food in the restaurant is limited at best. This hotel does not meet the Marriott standards to which I am accustomed.

This was our 2nd Stay with the Hotel. An it was marvelous the things that brought us back were still the same. The Beds are absolutely thee Best feature along with the Balcony views and vacation peace. It’s also perfectly centered with the entire Strip In condado. 15 minute walk to the night light in La placita an 20 min ride to old San Juan.

The breakfast cost $49.95 per person, their is a chatge on check in $396.00 wasnt prepared for that. Charge of $45 per day destination fee. Food is very average, eat in the area. Phones dont work and i paid for king bed and got a queen, the feont desk didnt nothing to resolve it

The room was OK, but the sink was in the middle and the way the mirror was positioned was extremely inconvenient. The lighting was also pretty poor. As for the staff they could’ve been more helpful, every time we ask them a question they couldn’t really answer it. maybe it’s because I stayed at the Marriott resort last time, but this is definitely a step down. However a decent hotel with a very convenient location. They also had a few complementary things like bikes we were able to use for eight hours so I would say we got our moneys worth. Just be mindful that our room was a bit interesting and the staff weren’t very helpful.

This place feels a bit like a motel masquerading as a Marriott. When we arrived at 9 PM after travelling for twelve hours we were told that they had run out of king beds and that they’d be putting us in a room with two queens instead. The guy who greeted us seemed to think we’d be perfectly fine with this since we were two men (i.e. myself and my husband). When I informed him that I had quite specifically booked a king and was not at all fine with failing to receive what I was paying a fairly significant sum for over the course of our four day stay, he looked confused and asked if there was someone else staying with us? I informed him that it would just be the two of us. Only then did he suddenly manage to find in the hotel’s inventory the king room I had actually reserved. Beyond this very disconcerting introduction to the property, I found many of the furnishings to be worn, the design of the rooms less than ideal (e.g. putting the washbasin and mirror in the room made it impossible to do anything in the morning), and the “destination fee” an exorbitant attempt at upselling. The pool area was okay. But other than that I found very little about this hotel that was worth the hefty price I paid.

unfortunately, the hotel was not as pictured. the staff was nice and accommodating, however the hotel needs some remodeling and tidying up. A lot of rusts and old furniture. Bathroom needs to be re grouted and some up keep. Upon arrival , one of the bed linens needed to be changed due to pervious stains. Room switch was required due to non working phone. It seems money may have been put into the lobby areas, but the actual rooms need to be invested in too as well.

Room was clean, bed was awful. Too hard and back hurt everyday. There was plenty of bars, restaurants and conveniences stores. Used Uber to get around. Bed area lack in a resort style. Furniture was old and rusty. The gentleman setting up was great. The beach was at the end and just did not compare to the surrounding areas. Was hoping for more at the beach. Lots of construction around the town.
People drove very aggressively would not recommend renting a car.

Not a 5 star hotel but 5 star service. Super friendly at the front desk and I would receive text messages daily to check in if I needed anything. Small rooftop pool with a bar and food to purchase. Room was decent. Nothing crazy but I knew in advance what I was booking. Didn’t spend much time in the room and we were out all day. Just got back to sleep but always came to a clean room. Stayed at this property for two nights and wish I could have stayed for longer. The room was very clean and spacious for two people. The area of the hotel is walking distance to the beach, restaurants/bars, coffee shops, gelato and more. It’s also a short uber ride to places like Old San Juan, Plaza las Americas and the airport. The staff were super welcoming and the facilities were clean. I was able to use the pool during my stay and loved that we can order food/drinks to our pool chairs. Love this place and would definitely stay again!

It basically has the essentials you can get in any hotel of lower stars but it makes you pay for things others don’t (wifi) and makes you pay in anticipation with a sort of resort fee for things you may not need during your stay like food in its restaurant of water in the hotel convenience shop. I stay at this hotel was OK. I love the location as it was very walkable and had many restaurants and stores that were nearby. However, the room I feel like was not worth the price paid as the sofa bed was highly uncomfortable. It’s compared to other ones that I have had in previous cities the partial ocean view is barely any view after waiting for the room for about an hour as it still wasn’t ready, I would’ve expected it to be cleaner and to have had sheets on the bed. They also charge a $45 resort fee that they say you can use for the restaurant there but the food is very overpriced and hardly will cover anything you’ll get there so it ends up going to waste. I will say it is nice that they provide umbrellas and beach chairs for you to go to Condado Beach that is nearby. However you’ll have to get there early so that all the umbrellas are not taken. It’s only about 12 minutes from the airport, which is also very convenient. I would stay at this hotel again, but would probably not pay for a suite again.
