Finding parking on the street and checking in after hours was difficult. Our flight came in late after the hotel staff was gone. We checked in with help from the gracious host who used the ring door cam to view my ID. We should have checked in online prior to getting to the hotel, but our flight was late and we had difficulty using our phones.

I had no idea about the hotels or the area for our overnight stay before we left on our cruise. I felt extremely lucky I chose this property. We came in late at night and had the first half of the next day. It was a really cute boutique style hotel with a very spacious room and nicely appointed bathroom. I’m glad the website mentioned no elevator. I chose the a first floor room so we didn’t have to haul bags up the stairs. Check out was 11:00 but Lin at the front desk was kind enough to hold our luggage for us while we explored a little bit, not to mention he was also very patient with our slightly late check out.

this history hotel is a hidden gem! the staff was very friendly and helpful. i paid for a birthday package and it was decorated with cake upon arrival. the location is close to beaches restaurants and more. the room was very clean and well stocked with towels :)

The staff at check in were helpful. The room was basic. Very small. Bed was MUCH more firm than we are used to. So, we didn’t have a very restful night. Bathroom is very small with the sink in the shower. Makes it difficult for someone to use the sink while another person is showering. Lack of an elevator (which we knew when I booked the hotel) is inconvenient. We stayed the night before a cruise so had more luggage than we usually have when we travel. It was a chore for seniors to drag it up and down the stairs. On the upside, the shower/water pressure was great. There were also good restaurants within walking distance. Overall, it served our purpose for one night.

We knew our room wouldn't be ready, and that was fine! But when we went back at 5 PM our room still wasn't quite ready. Not sure what was up with that. Also, the young lady working at the front desk didn't seem to have much information to share with us about the area or the town. Should have offered a map of the area or something.

The only downside is that there’s no on-site parking, so you have to find street parking nearby, which can be a bit challenging. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Very nice staff. The room was clean and efficient. The location is not too good. It was difficult to find restaurants and there is not shopping nearby. The neighborhood is a bit run down. Also, you cannot flush toilet paper which bothered me a little. But I really appreciated the staff and the nice room. The communication with them was excellent.

The photos online were deceiving. The bed sheets had long hair and stains what makes me believe that they were not changing. The shower was another deal the sink was inside the shower, so it got all wet. The toilet had is on story was off center so while seating you hit your lees on the wall. The room was so small I felt claustrophobic. Nobody after hours and you call the emergency number and goes to voicemail. So I would not recommend this place.

We had a great stay at the looking glass. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We just got in from a cruise and the room was clean, comfortable and made it easy to relax. The location wasn’t very far from the port or the airport. We really felt we were able to enjoy a part of Puerto Rico without all the crowds while being able to eat some great food at the local restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great communication with the host. We made a same day booking and had special request for no steps which they provided. The front desk closes at 5:00 and we came in later but the door codes they provided worked well. Just be aware that most rooms have at least a few steps up or down, so you need to request if that is a problem. Room was spotless and bed was very comfy.

I had a one-night stay at this boutique hotel and it was nice. The room was spotless and the bathroom was designed beautifully and huge. I did a quick look around the neighborhood and I definitely look forward to staying here again...next time for a longer stay.

I absolutely loved it! Check in was seamless I was a bit worried because I didn’t land on the island until after midnight and they do not have a 24hr front desk staff but I had no issues using the codes provided via email to check in. One thing to note is they do not have an elevator so beware… I’d say to ensure that you request a room on the first floor when booking if you have heavy luggage. I was here for a short stay but I honestly wouldn’t mind to have stayed longer. The room was very clean!

Clean, comfortable place to stay when flying in late on NYE. Went to the rooftop to watch the amazing fireworks that were going off all over the city. Rooms were sorta small, with a tight hallway and bathroom, and the door slammed shut every time it closed, but once settled, we all slept well.
There was some confusion with booking on Expedia and getting the check-in codes....needed to text back and forth with the front desk, but staff was super nice so it all was good.

My wife and I stayed at the Looking Glass for our cruise vacation and it was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. My wife is extremely afraid of bugs and this was the first hotel we looked up that had no bug reviews in comparison to the big name hotels. We got in at 10 pm and received our code to get into the building earlier that day. Once we arrived and opened the door to the lobby, it was bright, smelled good and felt safe because of the code-locked door.
Upon entering our room, the first thing we noticed was how clean the room was and how spacious the bathroom was. The one thing to note is that you cannot flush toilet paper but we were told this is common on the island. Our family stayed in a separate hotel and couldn't flush there either so oh well! The room had the basic necessities that you needed- a bed, desk area and bathroom. The towels were soft and plush but the shower had no door or curtain so be aware of that. The bathroom was clean as well as the room and bedding so it made for a very comfortable stay. The staff was great as well. If I were to come back to PR, this will always be my hotel choice! Please note, there is no elevator in this hotel so if you are staying on the highest floor that is something to be aware of. We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs so that was my only grievance but other than that, you WILL NOT regret staying here. The owners were also very responsive via email & text so I really appreciated that! 10/10!

Room was very clean and comfortable. Communication was excellent, from asking how we wanted our beds (twin or king) to info for late night access. Front desk gave suggestions for an excellent cafe and was very personable. It was a short stay as we were boarding a cruise so can’t help with other amenities.
