Great stay. Great location. A bit price for a private. But at least there was pool. The facilities were clean. Make sure to ask about the water situation before coming. I booked a night in the other location. The place didn't have water which made the stay little harsh since no ac.

The staff was wonderful! Chris (lady) was the best and so helpful! She made me feel at ease because this was my 1st hostel experience. The hostel is older, rust in the bath showers. I booked a private room, the TV was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of places to eat down the street and beach was a short walk.

TLDR incredibly poor communication from management - don't expect any help from them if you're arriving late or reach out with questions. I messaged in advance (and called and emailed) saying I would arrive late and by the time I landed in PR they still hadn't sent entry codes. Called emergency number...and no one answered. Last minute booked another room for a single night. Reached out to manager...who took days to get back, then ghosted me by not showing up in person at hostel to discuss things. Also - WiFi does NOT work in all rooms. And fridges in terrible condition. Would not stay again.

This facility is disgusting, the front entrance smelled like a urinal! The floors were filthy there was no staff at the site, other customers were locked out of there room for hours and sat in dark lobby! When asked do a refund because of what I saw and refused to stay there, I was denied! So they kept my money and refused to return it ! Property management was of no help and insulted that I told her the truth about this facility! No staff really concerned me I was told people are off! So think twice before u book a room here!!

The hostel sent an email saying they require a credit card to check in. They then charged my credit card for the room even though I had already paid for the room on Hotels.com. I had to call 3 times and email screenshots of my credit card statement to prove I had been double charged. Very annoying. Would not recommend.

I had a good time, I stayed at the Other hostel last time while they’re both good. This one is the better of the two if you were trying to stay closer to the action. And the other hostel feels like it’s in a weird place because it’s right by the highway and there is no scenery whatsoever. My room at this one I had overlooked the main street. While it was just a bunch of random people. It was nice to see rather than staring at an overpass. The staff seemed cool

The room was clean and organized. Just small things in the shower areas some the pipes were loose off the wall. They need to be re drilled back into place with brackets for safety reasons. Other than that everything else was superb.

I absolutely do not recommend this place

The room had nothing to do with the photos shown online. I booked a private bathroom, but they gave me one with a shared bathroom. The bathroom was disgusting everything was dirty, the walls were stained, the soap dispensers were full of dust, and the window was filthy. Overall, the place was just filthy and unpleasant.

When I tried to request a refund because the room didn’t match what I had booked, they told me they couldn’t give me my money back. The customer service was terrible, with no empathy or willingness to help.

A horrible, dirty place with awful customer service. I don’t recommend it at all.

Everything was great! The lobby/lounge area is super cute & comfy for hanging out, and the roof has a (distant) view of the ocean which is very relaxing. The private room was basic but comfortable. Though I was nervous about shared bathrooms, I didn’t have any issues during my stay! Everything is kept super clean; there weren’t many other guests at the time I was there, but those who were there were respectful of the shared space. Bianca & Annie at the front desk are amazing — both gave us very helpful tips for our trip! 10/10 would stay again.

Great place to stay—I actually found out about it on Reddit. I booked a private room (not the hostel), and the experience was excellent. I ended up needing to extend my stay by three nights with very short notice, and the staff was super helpful and accommodating. One day I got a late start (slept in after a great night out), and they were still flexible and made the extension process easy. Overall, really chill vibe and great service. Would definitely return. Clean, safe, and the shared bathrooms are never busy it’s no big deal

It was a nice spot. Obviously not spectacular but very accomodating and convenient if you’re gonna be in and out alot. Not gonna be staying at hostels too much after this because hearing someone snoring like a growling bear is not ideal when trying to sleep. But I guess that's what you paid for. Other than that not a bad stay!

The staff is super nice & accommodating plus very knowledgeable about the area. I'm will be back to visit PR very soon & i will be staying here. Plus it's located walking distance to a lot of restaurants bars & night life.

I arrived super late at night but it was super easy to get into the facility. I had a private twin bed and it was perfect for a four day stay. It was okay it could have been cleaner but it did the job! the showers were nice. Even the people staying there were really cool - invited me to play cards/drink. The area is really nice - very walkable to the beach and lot of restaurant options which I loved. I def will be back if I need another quick trip to PR.

Krys was very very nice, I really enjoyed her attitude and her willingness to accommodate the little things. I'm not sure her name but the woman that was cleaning was very kind and thoughtful. She does a great job keeping the place clean and tidy. I was very impressed by the kitchen access and cleanliness. I felt super safe here, thank you!

We liked that the area gave you a real feel of being in san juan instead of being surrounded by tourists. There were quite a few really nice food spots within walking distance so, we never had to travel out for food. Our room was nice but thw wear and tear was evident and we had issues with our shower that they had to get someone to come fix it. I wish we would of known they don't provide washcloths so, my bf had to use a sock to wash himself. Also, the oceanview the description said our room had was a stretch but the beach wasn't a far walk. Also, I knew they had stairs but didn't know the stairs were the only way up and they are quite narrow so it was hard getting our luggage up. Overall our stay was great, our room was nice and the staff responded quickly.

Friendly staff and respectable facility. Surrounding area is limited in high-quality restaurants and there is a fair amount of trash on the streets, but beautiful beaches are within walking distance. Some room accessories were broken, such as bag hangers, and some lockers were not usable, but overall, it was a very positive experience.

The hostel is about a 15-20 minute walk (for an active male in his late 20s) to Condado and the area is less expensive to stay in. Uber is not expensive if you wish to just jet around within a few miles. I recommend it to most people looking to travel on a budget, but those inexperienced traveling alone or navigating non-tourist areas should consider Condado, as it is more lively and has a nicer atmosphere.

The hostel is openly LGBTQIA friendly, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend the neighborhood to queer people, especially those who may be assumed to be by their appearance or demeanor. I did see graffiti with the F-word a few blocks west of the hostel.

I did not feel unsafe, but I do feel it is relevant to mention you should be alert when traveling in the area at night. You will be approached at least once if you stay a few nights, likely more though tbh. However, if you respect people in the area and don't look down on poverty you will likely not have any issues. The area is still visibly affected by Hurricane Maria and the locals deserve empathy, not judgment (the first man I met gave me a free banana at the fruit market).

really enjoyed staying here and I would absolutely stay here again! No complaints. Clean. it wasn’t loud. the amenities were great. Full kitchen available. the room had AC. privacy curtains. only 4 beds in the room. things you can borrow for the beach (volleyballs, football, umbrellas, etc). really cute place, cute lobby, super nice front desk staff. manager sent informative and welcoming texts. GREAT location, can walk up Calle Loíza, lots of close restaurants/Walgreens/grocery. :) I stayed there 7 nights and I loved it!

I was happy to be able to store my luggage in the lobby before my late flight home. The only thing I didn’t like was the water pressure in the showers as I wasn’t able to wash my hair but for one night and a bottle of dry shampoo it was doable.

Pros: Great value, clean property (room and bathroom both kept extremely clean for shared spaces, I was impressed), area had plenty of food/shopping options, close to beach or ride to Old San Juan and other attractions, close to airport. Felt safe walking around.

Cons: Showers had very poor water pressure. Quiet hours were ignored by other guests, and area in general noisy. This would obviously depend on other guests when you stay and your tolerance. One guest was particularly loud and causing issues. Bed was extremely uncomfortable even compared to other hostels I’ve stayed at.

Other: Desk was never staffed, not sure if someone accessible somehow as I never tried. Lobby seemed cool place to hang out but no one was. Roof top and 2nd floor have seating, games, etc for hanging out. Couple shared mini fridges for guests. Lounges would’ve been nice vs regular chairs on roof. Vending machines downstairs and ideas for the area, though I didn’t really look at them.

Overall a good value hostel, but personally wouldn’t stay here again based on my con list.

I stayed there for two days. The bed were very hard, the bathrooms are shared by men and women, wich were fine. But the showers is terrible.
The place felt really safe, you need to enter a code to get inside, a code to get in the room.
There are a lot of nice places around.

I booked a private room but couldn’t stay a night. The room has ants in bed and smelled terrible. The walls were peeling off. It looked more like a prison cell. The bathroom and the toiled seemed clean, but in the kitchen same ants were all over the place. The building was empty - I saw only 1 person during the holiday last week, not really socializing. I do not recommend staying in the private room, maybe shared rooms are in the better condition.

I was texted door codes, but the room did not lock and there was no way to secure my belongings. I had planned on renting a lock for the provided locker, but the front desk was empty at 7pm Saturday.

Nice hostel. However, the area has no recycling whatsoever. Trashing beautiful Puerto Rico. Some vegan restaurants have compostable to go boxes. Tons of water bottles, plastic straws, cups, glass just getting trashed. Also, taxi to Old San Juan is $15. Bus comes once a day if that, and so walking for miles. Not transportation friendly.

I liked that it was in Santurce. You can walk to Isla Verde or take the bus #21 which was in front of the Hostel. The people running the facility don't follow their own set up rules of wearing masks or keeping quiet hours. I hardly slept with the noisy guests having loud conversations all night, slamming, conversations outside the window to my room 401 on the rooftop. Ideally having a rooftop to sit and talk, watch the stars is great. However, all the seats and cushions are FILTHY! I didn't sit there bc I didn't want to get my dresses dirty. Only the rain cleaned them, if it rained.door It is a very dirty place. No cleaning of room within the 10 days I stayed. I was harassed by a guest who kept coughing, no mask was enforced by the hostel. The guest, a European American kept making comments about black women in a derogatory, racist, sexual in nature language. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, they responded with"we can't monitor his language". All this was said by this European American in front of my room. I am a black woman who was born in Boriken, known as PR. At one point someone turned off the lights while I showered. This was scary. To add to this, the entire staff leaves the premises and the guests are on their own! Horrible experience. A better choice would have been "Coral by the Sea'. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

-quick walk to the beach & a shopping center
-curtains around the bed for some level of privacy in a shared room
-clean bathrooms with multiple shower & toilet stalls
-nice common areas and rooftop deck
-friendly staff

Things i didn't like as much:
-accessory shelf by the bed blocked the outlet. I could access USB ports, but couldn't plug in my computer to charge at my bed.
-it's on a fairly busy road, so expect some level of city noise.
-kitchen area wasn't quite as extensive as other hostels I've stayed at. Good enough to get by though.
