The room where we stayed could have brighter lights. The room can be cleaner, especially under the bed, it was full of dust. The hotel is in a good location, easy to walk to the beach and restaurants. The staff were very nice and helpful.

The Inn was jus as described! Close to local stores and the beach but a quick Uber ride to big touristy areas if that’s what you’re in to.its ran by locals that checked us in quickly and efficiently as well as gave up information on places to go while there. I’ve been to PR many times so it was perfect for our quick trip. We had our own personal bathroom that was literally right across the hall from the room. I had no issues with that and appreciated the shared kitchen area as labels are available for you to put your name on your items with a full kitchen available for use. We are not the type of people to expect or want daily turn down service like in a hotel but someone was always readily available if you needed anything such as towels & when no one is there after hours they are quick to respond to any communication. The only issue we had was not their fault. It was the water shortage in San Juan therefore, conservation of water was necessary, not just at the inn. Overall will definitely stay again as it checked all our boxes!

If I come back to Puerto Rico I will definitely stay at this hotel again. Clean rooms, very nice staff and housekeeping. They have a shared area with big clean kitchen and the fridge. I can’t say anything bad about this hotel. They have private limited parking but if you can’t get a space there, there’s street parking available too. There’re a few food places within a walking distance as well. They even let us use the shared shower in the hotel if we needed to after we checked out.

The location was close and central to everything even with amazing food locations close by in walking distance. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the locals that live in the area were help full and very kind. Would return back here any time i go to Puerto Rico. it's worth every dollar spent. Property is different and unique. The staff are amazing. The property is fairly new and staff need to work on cleaning on the small places that are starting to show they need more care such as wipe doors and walls down daily if need too. Bathroom downstairs where the twin room needs a complete redo because there is no ventilation at all and the shower has green mold on all nozzles that needs to be cleaned or replaced. I really liked the king room where it was nice, quiet and spacious. The entire facility is quiet and nice just little things need to be addressed. I enjoyed my stay and will stay again.

This place was ok for a last minute booking. Some rooms do not have their own bathroom in the room, it’s across the hall. Common areas do not have AC. Our room had a working AC unit, shower handle fell off when we turned on the water, it was fixed the next day. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s not situated in the nicest area. Uber rides to Old San Juan ranged $6-$15.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the front desk who was more than helpful. She put together a little pamphlet of nearby places to eat and things to do which was very nice. The room was cute and clean as well as the shared lobby area. Also the location is close to many restaurants and beaches. The staff were very exceptional and very friendly, and made us feel welcomed. They also had a separate parking lot where I could leave my rental car. Would definitely stay here again, next time I visit PR.

Hard for Uber to find. Though the ad says reception is only at desk from 10am to 4pm, you cant check in till 3. Our room had 2 beds, that were dirty all along the baseboards. You have to go out of the room, across the hall, using a key, to get into the bathroom. The TV never worked nor was anything else offered & only 1 light in the whole room worked. It was disappointing to spend $200 to sleep in a room for 1 night with our teenagers & no tv, no vending machines & barely any light. No wonder it was non-refundable thru Hotels.com. Felt like the icing on the cake to a total rip off of a week of being scammed.

I think the one word I would use to describe our stay is unexpected. First, instead of a thousand tiny rooms crammed into an older building the room itself was very spacious and comfortable. There is a common lobby on each floor and where we were on the second floor there was a complete kitchen as well as a working area with desks and pretty speed wi-fi. When we arrived we were greeted enthusiastically and provided a host of information of things to do and see many of which we were not aware of even though we travel to San Juan at least once a month. Both the common areas and the rooms were immaculate, well appointed and there was sufficient hot water! (It's PR, if you know you know). The neighborhood felt quite safe, we had no issues in finding parking right in front of the Inn and there are stores and restaurants all within walking distance. All-in-all I would definitely stay here again as this is true value for the money.

I had a great stay at this hotel in Puerto Rico. It was quiet, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a smooth trip. The location was super convenient — I was able to get to Old San Juan, Condado Beach, La Placita, and even El Yunque with ease using Ubers. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there were plenty of walkable spots nearby for food and sightseeing. Overall, a solid place to stay if you want both peace and easy access to the island’s best attractions.

I just wanted to mention that between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m., the housekeeping staff member was speaking quite loudly, I believe on the phone, and it could be clearly heard inside the room. It’s possible she didn’t realize it, as the walls seem to be made of gypsum and sound travels easily. Everything else was excellent—just wanted to share this in case it hadn’t been noticed.

The hotel was great! The check-in and out was simple and convenient. Loved the style and design. Having a kitchen and a place to store food wonderful even though we only used it to make coffee. The only downside was the neighborhood. There were some really unpleasant or abandoned houses directly across the street. If you walked a few blocks things got better but when we first rolled up we weren’t sure. Overall it was a great clean, vibrant and funky place to stay.

First of all the bathrooms aren’t attached to the rooms. You have to walk across the hallway to get to the bathroom. The room smells like a wet dog and sheets linty and soil. The staff is super young and immature. They were yelling and screaming laughing and singing songs. I had to beg them to be quiet. This place is onerprived. Stay ANYWHERE else but here. You will thank me later!

Very good for $ stay! Cute, clean rooms in a nice set up with a shared kitchen/lounge space. Neighbourhood was close to quite a few restaurants. We were provided with both bath and beach towels as well as earplugs (the windows are not soundproof from outside). My only suggestion would be for better pillows. Communication for check in/out was all by phone/email but instructions were clear and we had no issues. Would do a short term stay here again!

I loved how friendly the staff was and was nice enough to offer a pamphlet of recommended restaurants and places to visit even for rainy days which was very helpful since i has been raining for the couple days i stayed here. Very clean, and beautiful, has AC. Love La Buena Vida Inn would definitely stay here again.
