I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, terrible parking spot where you have to walk long distance to reach the hotel, breakfast was terrible with no options and the bacon and sausage were only for private parties not for guests, we request to change sheets for the bed and when we get back in the night everything was the same.
It's the worst experience I've had so far in an hotel.

The property it's SO OLD, believe the other reviews. I took a chance and paid for it. The room SMELLS. Anything metal is rusted and mold was visible in different areas. White crust was all over the faucets and they DO NOT CLEAN THE ROOM. The breakfast it's truly continental full of sugars and carbs. The carpet smells terrible and they give you a thin cover. This was by far the worst experience ever. Look AwaY!

Staff was not friendly, the front desk person did not provide correct information regarding the parking which was shared with other hotels in the area and distant from hotel. Security did not even raise his head to see who was entering the building, anyone with bad intentions can follow a guest and enter. Room was not cleaned daily, sheets were not changed, had to request toilet tissue and towels (staff did not checked bathroom). Breakfast was poor; one day there was eggs and bacon only for the baseball team staying there, it seemed that the other guests were not good enough to deserve a good breakfast. We were paying customers. Last day no coffee available. Nevertheless the person at the breakfast room was very nice(the only one with a smile and friendly). Will not recommend this hotel.

We had the presidential suite. Beautiful views, spacious room. We appreciated the kitchen and extra bathroom. The suite was clean but had some water damage on the walls, ceiling and around the windows in the en suite bathroom. The staff did clean our room during our stay and supplied clean sheets and towels periodically. We loved our stay at the Costa Bahía Hotel overall.

The hotel is in a great location—conveniently situated near the water and within walking distance of several good places to eat, which made the stay very enjoyable and easy to navigate. While the property shows some signs of age and could benefit from a refresh and a deeper level of cleaning, it still offers a comfortable stay overall. One of the highlights was Veronica, the security guard. She was outstanding—very knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming. Her positive attitude and genuine hospitality really stood out and added a personal touch to the experience.

I travel with a group of friends, and my first experience with the hotel was bad. First of all, there was no place to park the car to drop our luggage, front desk personnel were not helpful. They gave us wrong information about where to park had to pay $35 for the first night's parking, because we parked in the wrong parking lot. I requested a refund for that night and was told they could only reimburse me $15 out of the $35 I paid. The hotel parking lot is in a different location, about a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We had to drive there, then walk with our bags to the hotel. I had 2 seniors traveling with me. They advertised breakfast on 2 days of our stay, but they did not have it. The rooms need repairs, trash cans, elevator floors, curtains, etc. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

First of all, if you don't ask for house keeping they don't do it, and when they do it's cleaning the bathroom and picking up the bed, if you think of walking barefoot on the carpet it's like having walked all over Old San Juan barefoot, they have a short of staff , it has a lot to improve.

El hotel hermoso , limpio y organizado. Pero el desayuno deberían agregar jamones ,queso. Ya q solo es ,pan ,cereal ,fruta y cupcake. En adiccion por lo menos en mi habitación no fueron a limpiarla y cambiar toallas al día siguiente. Y ya cuando llegaron ya era de noche y no tocaron la puerta antes de entrar y avisar para saber q estabamos dentro y el aire acondicionado no enfría lo suficiente. Pero por lo demás está muy bien .

The hotel has beautiful views, but it definitely needs improvement when it comes to service. I stayed for 6 days, and on my last night a staff member knocked on my door asking if i needed towels, sheets changed, or trash taken out. I found that a bit inappropiate, especially since it was my last day. There is not housekeeping service during the stay, which was disappointing.

The property is conveniently located for trips into Old San Juan. An Uber ride was less than $20 one way. We stayed in two different rooms. The first room was okay but noisy. The kitchenette had only one bowl, one spoon, one fork and two plates. The bed had one sheet and a thin blanket. The bottom of our feet were black from walking on the floor. The second room smelled musty and there was evidence of mold around the air vents. The floor in this room was very dirty. In addition to the bottom of our feet beg black w had loose dirt and hair stuck to our feet. We moved to this room because the desk clerk could not figure out how to extend our stay in the first room after my wife became ill. She tried calling her supervisor but couldn't reach him. I was also concerned about security as the entrance on several occasions was unsupervised. There was a cold breakfast included with the room. Very limited selection of cereal, croissant, bagel, fruit, coffee and juice. The only seating for breakfast was outside. Nice view but the birds were so aggressive they stole the food off your plate.

The property was in a perfect area close to everything that you could walk to or a quick Lyft ride if needed, included all the amenities that we needed. Beautiful view of Condado Lagoon, very clean and well kept, does have its small wear and tear nothing crazy, must remember that they have gotten hit with earthquakes and hurricanes so there might be spots that have some cracks but it’s not major. I would stay here again

The property is old and not kept up. The bathroom was dirty, bottom sheet with a light covering, visable mold unclean mirror, coffee grinds were in the sink. The hotel didnt have wash cloths had to use a hand towel. When we booked we had a hard time finding multiple rooms. This was one of the only places that could book 5 rooms. We only needed 2 nights as we were going on a cruise. If i had to do more nights in this i would have moved to a different room.
View is nice, location is central thos are the positives with this property.
I dont normally leave bad ratings...check other reviews and you will see this review aligns.

The parking is difficult to deal with. A long walk from the hotel to the parking garage ($15/day) and we were not given clear directions until we asked on day 2. The “key” to the lot is particular - we had to pay an additional $21 to exit the garage the first time out. Other than that, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and we appreciated the convenience of this hotel to get around the city. Room was comfortable and pleasant.

Staff were lovely. We arrived early and were able to easily check our bags. The view from our room was amazing. A simple breakfast was served on the terrace…another beautiful view. The hotel needs a little tlc, but we feel we got a great value for our $$$
We walked to nearby beaches and restaurants and saw turtles and manatees in the bay next to the hotel.

Our door was propped open upon arrival, it smelt musty/moldy, there was a used hair elastic with a hair stuck in it next to the sink, the couch was covered in stains, every stainless steel surface was rusting, they used a down sheet as a fitted sheet on the bed and only provided one single small/thin blanket on a king size bed. Overall was very dissatisfied. We did not want to stay the remainder of our trip and was not able to get any sort of refund. When we went to talk to a manager, the front desk staff was short and rude and not helpful. 10/10 would NEVER stay there again.

Dirty and ripped carpet, sheets were also stained (nothing like the pictures). Couch and the only other seat in the room with an ottoman STAINED. As well as the curtains, they were more black stains than white curtain. Moved the night stand so my husband could sit on it since everything else was dirty so we could eat and when we moved the night stand to no surprise the carpet was stained with what looked to be blood stains after this my husband and I absolutely refused to stay at this hotel and had to waste an additional $2000 to stay at another hotel. This almost ruined our trip. Would NOT recommend

I travel a lot, and this dump was probably.one of the WORST hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything looked terrible. Needs a complete rehab. Two tiny pillows and a small blanket. Asked for more pillows and they said they didn't have any. Asked for another blanket and all they gave me were more sheets. Elevators worked only half the time, phone in room didn't work, power went out the second day, I could go on but you get the.idea. Would NOT recommend this hotel.

I liked the location. We stayed at the studio suite and room was large with a nice balcony and view of the lagoon. Check in and check out were very easy with friendly staff.

This has got to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in and I stayed in quite a few. Where should I begin....the Parking was the worst in history my BF is in a boot and the parking was definitely not our friend. The room is extremely outdated which was suppose to be an Executive Suite lol nothing executive about it. Strange noises were going on the whole time while in the room. The bed had a extra thin supposedly blanket and a sheet I'm thinking I'm bout to get under both only to find out under the sheet is a pillow top so I had to call the front desk only to realize the phone was not working 😒 I went to front desk asked for a blanket and was given another one of those thin blankets again 😒 The best thing in this hotel was GYM! It was small and clean I enjoyed it!! Would I stay again absolutely not!!

My wife and I stayed two days pre-cruise, and would definitely return. Some reviewers felt like the rooms were old and tired, but we were perfectly fine with our room and had a nice view of the bay from our balcony. The location and price, especially compared to other hotels nearby, couldn't be beat. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, and the staff was most helpful in answering all of our questions. We enjoyed the continental breakfast (cereals, assorted rolls/bagels, fruit, milk, juice and coffee) with seating on a large balcony. There was a nice selection of restaurants within a 5-minute walk of the property, as well as accessible beaches. They also have a very nice gym. We walked to/from Old Town and found it to be a pleasant 25-30 minute trek one way. It was such a beautiful morning on embarkation day that we walked to the ship (25 minutes). Again, wonderful stay, wonderful staff and we would do it all over again.

My experience at Costa Bahía Hotel Paseo Caribe was very disappointing.

I stayed in a suite that, while offering an impressive view, was clearly poorly maintained. During our stay, my wife suffered a cut on her leg caused by an exposed and damaged metal support on the bed frame. The injury was not deep, but there was visible bleeding, which is unacceptable in a hotel environment.

What was most concerning was not only the incident itself, but the hotel’s lack of professionalism in handling it:

* The furniture was in poor condition
* The “repair” was improvised using tape
* There was no follow-up, concern, or apology from staff

After the incident, I went to the front desk and was only given bandages and alcohol. We never received a formal apology or any further assistance.

I also attempted to contact the hotel by email afterward and received no response.

It’s unfortunate, because the location and view are excellent, but the lack of maintenance and poor customer service make it impossible for me to recommend this place.

Need one for hair & one for body. TV cable went out so restricted stations. Location was good though and views were BEAUTIFUL.

The staff was friendly, polite, and always helpful. The hotel is in a great location. It’s only a short ride from the airport. We had a great view from our room. Just minutes from Viejo Sam Juan and Condado, it’s walkable if you enjoy strolling and walking. It’s only a $4-7 Uber ride from Viejo San Juan too. You can step right out of the hotel and into the lagoon and snorkel with sea turtles. There is also a snorkel excursion that swims out of the beach that is around the corner. We could see sea turtles from our room. There were many great restaurants within walking distance. We recommend The Blue Caribe just around the corner, great locally owned whole in the wall spot with delicious food and reasonable prices. At Costa Bahia, The breakfast is great, fresh, and delicious; The Terraza has a calming environment with great music.

Cleanliness was terrible. The bedding had stains on them, room was only cleaned twice during a weeklong stay (cleaned meaning all they did was remake the bed, didn’t even replenish towels) was the presidential suite but had one wine glass, one shot glass and one coffee mug. Utensils were unclean, beds were incredibly stiff. First night there, found a large cockroach scurrying across the floor.

I read the reviews before booking and figured I had a 50/50 shot of getting a room that wasn't terrible. Between the horrible musty, moldy smell, filthy curtains and rug and actual black mold in the curtains, on the bathroom door and around the the dripping (onto the floor) AC vent, I worried about my health. The trash can was rusted and pitted as well as the ice can. The furniture is beat up and even the hair dryer was in bad shape. No top sheet. You have to request one and even when I did, it was never delivered to the room. I ended up taking them off of a housekeeping cart in the hall. Blankets on the bed had stains, no ironing board and filth in corners and above the lights in the bathroom. The ONLY good thing was the view from the rundown balcony. I keep the balcony door open at all times to try and get fresh air into the room. Staff was unhelpful and housekeeping didn't come once to the room during a 5-day stay. No new clean towels and the towels we did have were grungy off-white. I was so disgusted by the pillows, I wrapped them up in a dress I brought before I would put my head on them. If you walk by the side of the building, you can see they do the laundry on site in a regular capacity washing machine and dryer. I don't think they've ever heard of bleach. If you're not easily swayed by unhygienic and potentially dangerous living conditions, then this is the hotel for you! Just live out on the balcony and you'll be all set!

Location is excellent! Nevertheless, building and facilities were poorly maintained. Room kitchen sink was clogged until check out. Bed fitted sheet was missing, only one flat sheet was placed.Bathroom towel bar loose and comes apart when towel we’re placed on it. Front desk personnel were willing to help but it was not on their hands. Housekeeping staff need training and uniforms they were not identified.

The rooms were clean, but the furniture inside the rooms needs improvement. For example, one of the roller blinds was broken, with a large hole that allowed daylight to come in from outside. In addition, the bed sheet was slightly stained; it looked like it had bleach marks.

The design of the rooms is also very outdated, especially the lamps. I believe thicker sheets should be provided, as the ones available are very thin and it gets cold in the room even when the air conditioning is turned off.

Additionally, I do not think it is appropriate to charge $150 upfront as a depoLas habitaciones estaban limpias, pero deben mejorar los muebles dentro de las habitaciones. También el diseño de las habitaciones es muy antiguo, especialmente las lámparas. Pienso que deberían colocar sábanas más gruesas para poder abrigarse, ya que las que tienen son muy finas y hace frío en la habitación, incluso cuando se apaga el aire acondicionado.

Por otro lado, no considero apropiado que se cobren $150 por adelantado como depósito por posibles daños en la habitación. Entiendo la intención, pero pienso que sería más razonable esperar a verificar el estado de la habitación al finalizar la estadía y, en caso de que haya algún daño, entonces tomar la decisión de realizar el cobro correspondiente.

The continental breakfast didn’t have anything; they always say it's finished. The front desk staff was very rude. They made a mistake and never admitted it or tried to make accommodations to fix the error. When I requested to speak to a manager, they never provided one; instead, they called security staff to come and resolve the issue, which is a front desk problem, not a security issue.

What was presented was not delivered. Between the mold everywhere, dampness of the room with moisture in the rug-television losing satellite signal every 35mins it wasnt the greatest. The hotel needs to be revamped and thoroughly renovated the damage from the storms have played a tremendous impact on it & they should put health & safety over profit.

This property is bad in all sense of experiences . Website is not clear of all things that are normal at a good hotel. The check in office is not well signed between the buildings, They don’t mention the $21 daily parking fee which is very odd, since your traveling . The rooms are old , misty of stains, torn curtains. They don’t offer any blankets or extra pillows. Everything is we are out of things. This experience ruin my vacation time. The front desk does not assist or answer the phones. You should investigate to avoid these things for other travelers. This was an awful experience and will never stay here in any way. I will be filing a complaint!

Great little gem in the heart of Puerto Rico! They're still building up, so lacking ammenities, but if you want a cute clean hotel with friendly staff, spacious rooms for a good price-- this is the spot for you!

Carpet, floor and grout were dirty. Top sheet and blanket were missing from bed. No maid service, continental breakfast was sparse but attendant was doing the best with what was available. Location was good but some what noisy from nearby airport. Did not measure up to reviews. But a nice friendly staff.

The 2 good things about this hotel - the beautiful view of the ocean which we enjoyed on our room's balcony, and the continental breakfast where we were able to eat outside on a 4th floor patio. Coffee was really good there. Problems - beds didn't have a top sheet, just a lightweight blanket. And the rooms were too cold - the thermostats didn't work in at least 2 of the 3 rooms we rented for family. I don't like to waste energy, so I didn't want to open the balcony door to warm the room up with the air conditioning blazing. We asked for and received extra blankets after the first night, but they ran out of extras the second night when more family arrived. I also was told on the phone that they had cribs, but they didn't. We also had been told that they would try to put us next to or near each other. I understand that that may be difficult, but I sensed that they didn't try very hard, and we ended up on 3 different floors. Parking was a bit of a walk in a nearby parking garage, but the garage was well lit and felt safe. I also understand parking is difficult in older areas of a city so we dealt with that. 2 restaurants on the plaza that the hotel was on were casual and really good - El Taller and Carube (sp?). When we asked for an extra blanket, staff brought it up quickly and that person seemed attentive. Next time, I will try to find a hotel nearby this one as the ocean view was wonderful, but a different hotel that could be more accommodating (and had warm blankets)!
