Great hotel. Lovely pool. Food really good. The fried eggs were the best hotel eggs I've had. Bar in the evening is good. Claudia is so friendly and bubbly and always smiling which was great as I was solo. Rooms good and modern. Cleaning was very good.

Just back from a one night stay at the Royal to celebrate my partner's birthday.... From the moment we arrived we felt at home... Reception member was lovely.... The bar staff excellent (especially Alfonzo)... Hotel immaculate and breakfast stunning... Cannot fault this hotel.

Adults Only Central Hotel

The hotel offers excellent location from which to visit all parts of Benidorm. Located just 5 min walk away from the old town and 5 min walk away from the beach front activities it is very central. Hundreds of bars and restaurants within walking distance.

The hotel had breakfast included on my deal which had everything you could wish for. I opted for dinner some nights for only Euro 15 and I was very impressed by the standard of menu and options available from the wide buffet choice.

Smart and clean this hotel offers a great location. I hired a car from Alicante airport so the fact that this hotel had its own underground car park (14 euro per day) was excellent. This hotel is part of the HR group and you can also use all facilities of the hotel across the road too as it is part of that same group.

The staff was very nice and accommodating, and they have fun entertainment around the pool area in the evenings. The room was fine, but dated. It took a long time to catch an elevator at busy times. The breakfast was nice with a large selection. It’s located close to the beach and old town. The majority of the guests are retirement age.

Fourth stay, always spotless and polite, obliging staff - same staff since 2019 always a good sign. Lots of delicious food to choose from, unhurried service (7.30 dinner start) and friendly waiting staff. Two of my four trips have been solo - feel safe and secure here. Located on edge of Old Town, perfect all round. Already booked for October!

Lovely hotel, fabulous staff

We had a lovely stay with you. The food was good, a great selection and good quality.

A lovely clean pool, decent sun longes and clean rooms, cleaning staff very helpful and accommodating 10/10.

Bar staff also amazing, happy, friendly and welcoming they went out if their way which was lovely.

Last bit not least the reception staff were brilliant. There was one staff member in particular who sought medical assistance for my husband, she supported me and my daughter, unfortunately we never seen her after that to say thank you, but a huge thank you from me and my family.

Cannot fault the staff or the hotel. We would definitely return.
If I had to critique anything it would be that the lift could take a while at times, which could be a little frustrating but this didn’t spoil our stay.

Only downside was the rooms clearly had thin walls, could hear every word of next doors conversation and thought it was raining every time the shower was on. Shame as the room/bathroom was good however not so restful

Chips were often hard & cold, pizza was unappetising. And I do think more could be done to improve on mains.

Brilliant hotel! Modern, clean, comfortable. The in-room aircon is great, the beds are super comfy. Super clean and the staff were very helpful. We used the hotel car-parking too which was very convenient and a good price. Breakfast was fab, lots of choice. Overall I couldn't fault it!!

Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was very clean, excellent location for the old town (bit if a hike if you want the nightlife on the strip), good atmosphere - all the clientele got on with each other regardless of nationality. The clientele was generally of an older generation, so no rowdiness at all, especially late on a night. Downside - only things I can really think of were the pool was shaded for a good part of the day by the hotel over the road (bear in mind this was February though, so this may be different in the summer....), and the evening meal on the one night we ate in the hotel wasn't particular impressive, but i am nit-picking here. Overall, we'd stay there again.

Having booked this as a 'cheapie' break my expectations were not the greatest. But, I have to say I was very much both surprised and pleased with the hotel. The rooms are spacious & comfortable, the pool area and surrounding areas are all kept beautifully clean, the staff are all personable and the food was varied and there was a lot of choice even for the fussiest of eaters). All in all - would I return? Yes definitely!!!

The hotel was great. The food was very Spanish but delicious. Go for all ghe fishes they have. The WiFi worked good. The pool was very nice but don’t try the piña colada. It was the only bad thing lol. Other than that great place to stay. It’s not a party hotel more for relaxing.

I chose this hotel purely because it has parking and I’m so glad I did! The lady on reception was so helpful and even let us check in 3 hours early because our room was ready. The beds were so comfortable, great shower and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back.

The hotel staff can make or break your stay, the Royal staff are what makes this hotel an ideal place to stay. They are all totally happy location, with an amazing enduring welcome ‘can I help you attitude’, that makes you feel you can ask any questions, to which they do their upmost to answer and sort out for you. l know some guests may say that’s their job but you can have efficiently and be cold and aloof, but they work hard to never make you feel uncomfortable and only ever welcome and reassure you with advice or solve any request.

It's been a while

It's over four years since we stayed at the Royal when the new owners were just taking over. Iy was always a good hotel and in my opinion its now even better.
Reception is excellent, so is the choice and quality of food in the dining room, rooms also very good. Nice little touches in the rooms, three bottles of water, comb and tooth paste, we found these very useful as we arrive late into the evening.
The new owners have added a day time activities programme and also a very good evening entertainment programme.

My friend and I booked the RH Royal for a week in the sun. The only negatives about the hotel is the traffic noise outside so if I returned I'd ask for a room at the back. Also because of tall buildings we had to do a bit of sunlounger hopping throughout the day to catch the sun. Rooms, location, food were great.

This is a small Hotel very nicely situated by the old Town but easy walking to new Town and the beach. Reception is OK with a key card required to use either the lift or the door into each level. There is comfortable seating provided and is maned 24 hours. The bar area is OK with entertainment provided if you want to stay in. The dinning area it bright and well lit, well serviced and comfortable. Food is good although not a large choice but then it is a small Hotel. Having said that, there was something for everyone (not sure about vegan) and I enjoyed every meal. If you like a full English this had the lot including a choice of sausages. So no complaints there.
On walking into the room my first thought was \"this will do nicely\". It was spacious light and airy with a carpeted floor. The bed was super and gave a great nights sleep. It had soft lighting provided as well for easy relaxing when you got in at night. Plenty of wardrobe space with a free safe and a mini bar. The en suit was again spacious with a lovely big walk in shower that had a powerful jet if required. It also had an overhead spray as well as a hand held one.
The Hotel had fast free WiFi and the room TV had Multi National channels to cater for all.
The only down side of my stay was that the couple in the room next door where deaf and liked to turn on their TV at 07:30 every morning. This did somewhat spoil my Holiday but does not detract from a great little Hotel.

Hotel was really great - especially for the price. Pool doesn't catch the sun all day, but you can manoeuvre around it, and the beach is a 5 minute walk. Really handy for the old town - just a few mins away to the right. If you're more a new town kinda person, it's handy for that also. Breakfast was great...staff helpful. 2 mild gripes: Housekeeping didn't change my sheets first night - despite there being some blood on one from a cut knee I had. And 2 loud, sweary, drunken groups (one male, one female, and all English unsurprisingly) bugging us normal humans who like to respect others. I'd have liked the hotel to be more vigilant in respect of this anti-social behaviour.

You really can't go wrong with this hotel x two minutes to the old town for Great shops. Four minutes to the beach. The hotel has a very welcoming atmosphere, the pool area is very tranquil and the pool itself is very nice to have a dip in. I really like that it's not too big,so you get to know people very easily. Day time activities are fun thanks to the lady who organises it all, night time entertainment is excellent also x very much love this hotel aside have been going for 3 years, the food selection is fantastic. I honestly would not stay anywhere else x You feel like home at this hotel, mainly due to the staff xx Already booked for next year xxxxx

Good Stay in Handy Location for Old Town

We stayed for one night, booking at the last minute. We arrived around 12.30pm - check in was from 2pm, so the receptionist kindly stored our luggage whilst we went for lunch. We returned to check in, which was quick and easy, by the friendly gentleman we'd seen earlier.
Our room was on the 7th floor - with a view over the front of the hotel. It was clean and comfortable, with a good sized bathroom. Plenty of English channels on the TV if you wanted.
The air-conditioning didn't seem to go lower than 20 degrees C and seemed inefficient, and although it was only March, it was quite muggy in the room - even with the balcony door open.
Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of hot and cold choices.
The hotel is in a good location - quite close to Calle Gerona - if you are looking for English bars, and about a 5 minute walk into Old Town.

Nice hotel close to beach

The hotel is situated in the quiteter part if Benidorm. Close to the beach, the old town and local shops and restaurants.
If you want very loud and lively with a British feel then you need to stay at the other end and more inland.
I found this hotel well placed as I enjoyed the old town more. The staff are all her friendly, good breakfast and on hand to help.

Mainly Spanish n Brits nice crowd no rowdies with entertainment in tha lounge every nite. We arrived at 11 am expecting to be hanging around waiting until 3 pm before we could check in. No need to worry, very friendly staff at reception made a few phone calls and sorted within 10 mins! Rooms very nicely decorated and clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff throughout this hotel . We had breakfast and lunch at royal each day and food was very good, with plenty of variety. Drinks were reasonably priced and pool and solarium areas adequate in May time but possibility bit overcrowded later in summer. Would have no hesitation in booking Royal again.

An enjoyable, early season holiday.

My elderly mum and I had a lovely stay. A good mix of nationalities. Usual hotel type entertainment but Nuno tries very hard. A couple of good singers but, it's Benidorm, so people (well, Brits, anyway!) mostly go out in the evening.
Food was quite varied and usually hot enough. The breakfasts, especially, were excellent.
Staff were friendly and approachable but still professional.
A short walk to the beach - less than 10 mins at an easy stroll.
We went in early April. We could always get sun beds but not always in the sun. Sun was blocked for parts of the day by the surrounding high buildings. Whether this is the case in summer, when the sun is higher in the sky, I don't know. This resulted in lots of bed moving. There is a sun deck with extra sun beds, but there doesn't seem to be very many. If you want to spend all your time by the pool, these are issues to consider but if you're happy to use the beach, then they won't be a problem.
Your key card is needed to call the lift from the lobby, a good security measure.
Free wifi in the bedrooms as well as the main areas, which is unusual.
Happy hour twice a day, lunchtime and early evening, was very welcome.
All things considered, I would be happy to return with my mum, but not with my sun-worshipping husband.

When we arrived at the rh royal we were basically frog marched out the hotel ,and over to its sister hotel over the road the victoria,when we asked why?the staff said hotel full did you not get an e-mail?and no we never,we explained we wanted the child free hotel,but it made no difference,and the food was mainly for the spanish hotel guests,we booked half board,and only ate their once.

We stayed for 2 nights B & B, and were happy with our choice of Hotel.It is only a short walk down to the Old Town with all its shops, bars and its beach.Only negative comment would be - hard pillows.Breakfast is self service, hot and with a lot of choice.

Best thing about the hotel is the location - just 5 minutes to the old town, 5 minutes to beach and near lots of shops and cheap bars. The pool area great and I liked the fact that it doesnt accept children. The whole place is very clean but it is on a road leading between old and new towns so you should expect some noise at night as the drunks make their way home

Not really a 4 star hotel

This is not a 4 star hotel. Food at lunch and dinner very disappointing. Bar and restaurant prices very reasonable. Staff really friendly, helpful and efficient. All in all. I have stayed at much better hotels in Benidorm and will not be returning here.

Ideal short quiet break

Located in a reasonably quiet area. Ideal for the old town. Food very good but not very warm. Full of elderly Germans and Spanish, but still quite early in the season. Went with my son for a short break and we had enjoyable stay. No suitable entrrtainment in the hotel but lots of British tv channels. Tea and coffee in room is a nice touch. Anyone looking for a reasonably quiet break should enjoy this hotel. Would go back if we ever go to Benidorm again

Ideal base

Excellent value for money. Clean, well appointed accommodation with friendly helpful staff. Food particularly enjoyable with plenty of variety. Easy access to the beach, promenade, and old town. English manager in the basement bar with a superb singing voice, well worth a visit. We visited out of season but we were still very impressed and we will visit again.
