The staff are helpful. Almost everyone spoke English (not that I expected, but it was nice not to use a translation app). They asked me a few questions about why we were there and told us the easiest and cheapest way to get there. When our train departed late, they allowed a late checkout for a fee. They even helped when my taxi fell through and got us to the train station with plenty of time to spare.

We stayed in the annex which was very lovely and quiet. It was nice that there was a coffee machine in the lobby, however, it ran out of water (for tea) Sunday evening, so there was no coffee available Monday morning until 8. Perhaps room coffee maker would be better? Otherwise, the property was beautiful! Right above the river. Very easy to take the tram into Dresden to avoid parking. I definitely recommend a stay here!

The setting of the property is gorgeous, no question. Beautiful gardens and view. You feel like you're in another world. The rooms lacked one very vital thing--a way to make coffee or tea!! Such an easy thing to provide, and quite necessary for a really comfortable stay. The parking situation is also not ideal, as there simply isn't enough close to the buildings.

We visualized to stay in the Castle. They show the Castle as the picture in the bookings but after checkin, they throw you in detached building looks like a normal hotel building. They told us the price will be double if we want to stay in the Castle.

I loved the atmosphere of staying at such an exquisite hotel. It was a castle and that made it so much better. The breakfast provided during our stay was excellent and offered a variety of choice. The area had nice walkways to enjoy. It was very quiet and remote, compared to the downtown hustle.

Lovely place with beautiful garden. The aise where we were staying was not in the castle (disappointing) but was only a 3mn walk away and was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is well worth it and is located in a very nice room with beautiful view on the Elbe. The one disappointment is the inability to access the river bank, but none of the hotel’s fault!

We absolutely loved everything about this place! It's a beautiful castle on a huge park-like property with nice walking trails. Our room was newly remodeled and very nice. The restaurant was terrific. It was just a wonderful stay!

Unfortunately we chose to stay in the Kavalier Haus not in the Schloss. Rooms in the Kavalier Haus were a little bit dated and the Bathroom too tiny. View was fabulous from room. Would love to stay again but in the Schloss next time. The food was fantastic and so was the service at Dinner & Breakfast.

Hotel was located near the company I was visiting for business. Therefore it was extremely convenient. The hotel itself is comparable to Holiday Inn with an antique touch. I wouldn't recommend it for people who are staying longer than two days.

We stayed at the Kavaliershaus which is the less expensive option. The rooms were basic but comfortable. The castle grounds are beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the castle and it was very enjoyable. Internet access was free as was parking.

Although we just overnighted in Dresden, we enjoyed our short stay at this castle hotel. Staff couldn't have been nicer, and breakfast was very good. Rooms (including the bathroom) was nice and spacious.

Hatten ein Zimmer im Kavaliershaus also einem Nebengebäude. Zimmer waren sauber und geräumig, einige Getränke waren zur freien Verfügung im Kühlschrank. Insgesamt ist es etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Würden das Hotel wieder buchen.

Wir haben uns richtig entschieden, um in diesem Schlosshotel unseren 40. Hochzeitstag zu genießen. Die Lage ist einmalig schön. Der wildromantische Park und das Schloss erinnern ein wenig an \" Dornröschen\". Das Hochzeitsdinner war hervorragend. Herr Rahnenführer(?) war uns ein exzellenter, humorvoller und kenntnisreicher Gastgeber auf der Terrasse. Dankeschön an die Küche für das wundervolle Mahl. Dankeschön auch an alle Frühstücksservicekräfte, die ein Frühstück im Freien ermöglichten. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt mit rundum gelungenem Service. Einen Hinweis haben wir : Ist es möglich, in den Maisonette - Zimmern Insektenschutz für die Fenster anzubringen? Das haben wir vergessen, gleich zu sagen. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel allen, die eine gepflegte Gastlichkeit auf hohem Niveau schätzen, und trotzdem normal sind.

Beautiful castle with rooms both in the castle and in an annex. We stayed in the annex and had a great room, very clean and quiet. Ample free parking. Nice park around the castle with view over the river. Excellent service, we appreciated that we could buy tram tickets in the reception. Tram stop five minutes walk from the castle.

Its a charming place, we liked the ambience, the garden overlooking the river and city beyond. The grounds are lovely, not too manicured. Breakfast is good, well layed out and the service excellent.
The rooms are comfortable and neat.
Our request for a change of room the next day was complied with a smile.
The bed mattress could be more supporting/comfortable or an option of a softer mattress topper would be great, this was my experience. My husband didnt mind it much.

The bed mattress could be more supporting/comfortable or an option of a softer mattress topper would be great, this was my experience. My husband didnt mind it much.

Note that most rooms are not located in the Castle, but in a side building a short walk thru the park. So rooms are in good high standard as you would expect from a quality hotel and this price, but you do not get the luxury feeling of staying at a castle.
Breakfast was good. Eventhough a little high in price; but it was still worth it due to the possibillity to sit on the terass and enjoy the amazing view.
Good with free parking and there is a tram stop just outside.
Dont miss the Bier Garten at property next door. Also good views but much more reasonable pricing for a self service of snacks and drinks.

Ein sehr schönes, ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit besonderem Flair und einem tollen Park. Wir hatten große, saubere Zimmer mit Balkon (Upgrade) im Schloss. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Auch wenn wir aufgrund Corona nicht alle Annehmlichkeiten wie Frühstück und Abendessen genießen konnten, war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Gerne wieder.

Das Hotel liegt in einem Park, und von der Terrasse bietet sich ein herrlicher Blick über die Elbe und Dresden, bis hinein ins Osterzgebirge. Einziger ernsthafter Mangel: Die Zimmer befinden sich im sogenannten Kavaliershaus, Rezeption und Restaurant sind im eigentlichen Schloss. Man hat also immer einen Fußweg durch den (sehenswerten) Park. Bei schlechtem Wetter ist das beschwerlich, die Hotelangestellten haben aber reichlich Regenschirme bereitgestellt. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, Ambiente und Service waren sehr angenehm und entsprachen einem gehobenen Niveau. Das Restaurant bietet eine sehr gute Küche zu gehobenen (aber angemessenen) Preisen.

Leider waren ständig die Kaffeebohnen leer.

Superbe château, très confortable. Endroit magnifique et très calme. Nous avons passée une excellente nuit. Par contre, l’hotel n’avait aucune disponibilité pour souper à leur propre restaurant et la seule solution proposée par l’établissement fut de retourner à notre chambre et d’attendre leur appel au cas où des gens quitteraient plus tôt. Nous avons payer pour avoir une expérience de château, mais nous n’avons eu malheureusement que la nuit.

Wir hatten ein sehr sehr gutes Dinner im Restaurant mit erstklassigem Service. Die 3 Zimmer, die wir im Kavaliershaus gebucht hatten, entsprachen der Beschreibung, also: Relativ klein, aber zweckmäßig, zudem mit einem wirklich süßen und frisch renovierten kleinen Duschbad. Kann man so auf jeden Fall machen. Unsere mitreisenden Kollegen waren sehr zufrieden, besonders mit Abendessen und Frühstück.

Nun zum Frühstück: es ist mit 18€ sicherlich nicht das günstigste, allerdings ist es jeden Cent wert. Die Auswahl ist fantastisch, u.a. 13 verschieden Käsesorten, Lachs, Lachspastete, Früchte, frische Kuchenstücke von einer örtlichen Bäckerei, von denen auch die Brötchenvielfalt kommt. Die meisten Hotels sind leider inzwischen auf Tiefkühlbrötchen übergegangen, zum Glück ist das hier anders.
Parkplätze sind genügend vorhanden.
