Comfortable Room but confusing facilities layout

We were booked in with Best Western but actually had to check in and eat in the Courtyard Marriot.
We struggled to get into the parking area as a service lorry and skip were obstructing the entrance.
Very confusing as to where we should check in. Our main rooms were in the Best Western Building but everything else was in the Courtyard Marriot building.
We were told the only food was the buffet but there was very little left and certainly was not worth 27 EUR each. We then discovered the bar was serving perfectly good pizzas for half this price.
Breakfast buffet was much better with plenty of choice.
Only 11 min drive to Dresden Airport.
I would stay again but maybe in Courtyard Marriot, so everything in the same building.

Short stop lots to see

Short walk to the trams or a 40 minute walk to the old town. Hotel staff are friendly and helped a lot with my limited language skills. Comfortable beds with a struggle to get up in the morning.

Comfortable hotel with good sleep quality

Visiting friends in the locale, we stayed one night at the Marriott Dresden. The location is not great for visiting the city, but not bad, as there are a number of different trams (7 and 8) close by that take about 15 mins to get to the Altstadt. The hotel was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay again in the future.

Good Value for Money

The hotel is not very central but the location is excellent if you are planning to jog outside or prefer to stay in quiet areas. It's a 10-minute walk to the so-called New City and about half an hour to the Old City where major places of interests are.
The hotel is not very big and some of the facilities are shared between Macrander and Marriott, which is nearby. Those are, for example, parking and the gym.
As I have mentioned above, if you are into jogging, you will find the area and the hotel runner-friendly as they offer free water and towels in the lobby.
Marchander offers excellent breakfast, though quite expensive (15 euros per person).
The rooms are of decent size, relatively new and well-furnished. With windows closed, it's very quiet. The rooms are very clean and the hotel offers an interesting special. If you decide not to have your room cleaned, they offer you a 4 euro discount for drinks in their bar.

Not one cup of tea.

The Receptionists are always available, nice and very professional. However, the Hotel in general is in very bad shape and in desperate need of refurbishment. ( December of 2012 ). The room and corridors smell pretty bad and are dusty. The lid of the kettle had quite a dust layer. The same with the TV, desk and chairs. The carpets seem to have a few decades on top of their existence.

The parking lot is very small but one can share the Holiday Inn Car Park. Though, when I tried to park the car, I could not find a place and had to park on the main road.

Hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet, die Bar nicht besonders einladend, die Cocktails teilweise aus der Flasche, die freundliche aber doch etwas gestresste Bardame war auf Grund der vielen Besucher etwas hektisch.
Leider erhielten wir ( trotz 2 versendeten Mail vorab) keine Rückinfo zu glutenfreien Backwaren zum Frühstück, war aber vorhanden.

Hallo, zur Sauberkeit und zum Zimmer kann man nichts schlechtes sagen das war soweit gut.

Im Allgemeinen würde ich das Hotel zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt nicht empfehlen. Aufgrund ich denke Personalmangels ist die Rezeption nicht besetzt und man muss alles über das Nachbar Hotel abwickeln. Check-in war okay. Der Aufenthalt speziell am ersten Abend war für uns sehr unheimlich. Man muss durch die Hintertür aus und eingehen es ist kein Personal vor Ort es fühlt sich an wie ein verlassener Ort.
Am Abreisetag: Da ohne Rezeption nur alles schlecht organisiert sein kann hat der Roomservice bereits um 8:30 Uhr ins Zimmer geschaut während wir noch im Bett lagen.
Der Check Out hat gut funktioniert bis wir zu unserem Auto wollten. Wir sind ohne Hotelkarte nicht ins Parkhaus gekommen. Es gab dort eine Klingel für unser Hotel und das Nachbar Hotel.
Logischerweise haben wir beim Nachbar Hotel geklingelt aber diese Telefonnummer war nicht mehr vergeben. Über Google haben wir dann die Telefonnummer des Hotels rausgesucht. Genau das selbe diese Rufnummer ist nicht vergeben.
Also haben wir uns entschieden einmal um das Parkhaus zu laufen um einen Eingang zu finden. Das war vergebens. Danach haben wir weiter geschaut und eine andere Telefonr des Hotels gefunden. Die Frau hat uns dann gesagt da müssen Sie schon bei ihrem Hotel fürs Parkhaus klingeln hat gelacht und aufgelegt. Tatsächlich hat sich dann eine Frau unseren Hotels gemeldet und die Tür geöffnet.
Alles in allem ein Grausame Erfahrung!

Läget är bra med goda förbindelser mellan gamla stan och övriga delar av staden genom bussar och spårvagnar.
God och rik frukost.
Personal är hjälpsamma.
Dyrt (26 euro/per person) på en enkel buffé i hotellets restaurang och kaffe o te ingår inte i priset.
Dåligt att en gäst behöver betala extra (5 euro/per dag och per person) för användningen av hotellets gym och pool. Att priset för en sådan fyra stjärniga hotell ingår inte gym och pool är för dåligt.

Kaos ved ankomsten. Kunne ikke finde ind på hotellet. Viste sig, at man skulle checke ind ved hotellet ved siden af.
Ingen info på hjemmesiden.
Valgte en ekstra overnatning, så vi kunne se mere af byen .
Ved ankomsten om aften var der hverken gjort rent eller nye håndklæder.
Klagede selvfølgelig til hotellet, men fik at vide, at der kun blev redt senge og gjort rent 2 gange, hvis man havde en overnatning på 7 dage.
Kommer aldrig igen. 😬😒

Schon bessere Best Western Hotels erlebt

Dieses Hotel entspricht für uns leider keinem 4 Sterne Standard.
Die Zimmer sind schlicht ausgestattet und haben weder Safe noch Kühlschrank....problematisch wenn Medikamente gekühlt werden müssen.
Ein Pool und Wellnessbereich befinden sich im Marriott Hotel nebenan.Leider hatten wir das nicht gelesen und wurden auch nicht darauf aufmerksam gemacht.
Zum Frühstück musste man ebenfalls über den Parkplatz ins Nachbarhotel. Gut, dass es nicht regnete.
Die Zimmer waren sauber, aber Reinigung wurde wegen Corona nicht angeboten (aufgrund Hygienebedingungen, für uns nicht nachvollziehbar was das eine mit dem anderen zu tun hat). Nach Nachfragen wurde ein Mal von der sehr netten Servicekraft durchgesaugt und gewischt, was bei einem Aufenthalt von Mittwoch bis Sonntag auch angebracht war. Die Fugen in der Dusche (hoher Einstieg und Rutschgefahr, auf die allerdings hingewesen war) könnten mal wieder gereinigt werden. Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig. Kostenlos gab es eine Flasche Wasser und es bestand die Möglichkeit, Kaffee oder Tee zu kochen. Die Bushaltestelle für die Linie 64 liegt direkt am Hotel, in ca. 20 Minuten ist man in der Innenstadt.

Zeer nette kamers.

Het was bij aankomst even zoeken, maar blijkbaar moest ik bij het hotel ernaast inchecken omdat Best Western geen receptie heeft deze dagen. Ook was de straat opgebroken en was het slecht bereikbaar.
De douche was wel vrij krap. Voor de rest is alles uitstekend bevallen!

Dejligt hotel beliggende lidt udenfor centrum. Best Western har ikke døgnbemandet reception, men ligger lige ved siden af, og har samarbejde med Hotel Radisson, hvor man så bruger den døgnåbne reception der. Morgenmadsbuffeten, som var udemærket uden at være overdådig, serveres også på Hotel Radisson. Personalet på begge hoteller var venligt og imødekommende. Parkering er på aflukket gadeplan lige udenfor hotellet. Der var ingen restaurant om aftenen, men en lounge/bar, hvor man kunne købe udemærkede, lettere retter og drikke, herunder velmixede cocktails.

Das Hotel hat eigentlich nichts zu bieten, ausser einem sauberen Zimmer. Pool, Wellnessbereich, etc., befinden sich im Marriott Hotel nebenan. Die Zimmer sind schlicht ausgestattet und haben weder Safe noch Minibar - für ein 4-Sterne Hotel schlicht ungenügend. Das Frühstückbuffet kostet 15€ pro Person und bietet keine grosse Auswahl. Das Hotel selbst ist ca. 25 Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Der Service an der Rezeption ist nicht gerade sehr freundlich oder Kundenorientiert. Ich würde das Hotel nicht mehr buchen. Übrigens, auch die Parkplätze gehören zum Marriott Hotel nebenan. Wer in diesem Viertel übernachten möchte, sollte also eher das Marriott in Betracht ziehen.

Das Best Western Macrander liegt in der Dresdner Neustadt. Wenn man sich nicht sträubt ein bisschen zu Fuß zu gehen, sind jede Menge Kneipen und Restaurants fußläufig erreichbar. Die Dresdner Neustadt ist meiner Meinung nach die netteste Ecke in Dresden. Wer alternative Künstler und Studentenviertel mag, wird sich hier gut aufgehoben fühlen. Die Bushaltestelle für die Linie 64 liegt direkt am Hotel.
Mein Zimmer war sehr funktionell eingerichtet. Ich habe dort gut geschlafen, aber es war wirklich nichts besonderes.
