Great place in the heart of the Altstadt! The reception clerk was very friendly and helpful, offering advice on different site seeing options and ways to make the best of our visit to Dresden. The Christmas Markets were very nice, especially the medieval-vibe of the Stahlhof market!

The staff was very nice and the hotel was in an amazing location and was very neat. Our door to the balcony was off the top hinge and would not close. This allowed a draft into the room and noise from outside. The bedding also had small stains.

This property is right in the middle of the reconstructed Neumarkt area. We received a free upgrade to a wonderful two bedroom flat with a terrace. Our visit was in mid-May when Dresden's charming Spring Market was taking place.

What a great stay! The Staff Amazing, (Thanks Udo) for all the information and recommendations. We normally don’t do breakfast let alone a buffet but buffet at their sister property is a do not miss! Make sure you ask for Eggs Benedict wonderful. A washer in the unit was wonderful, let staff know and they will bring you a drying rack. Location is perfect, close to sites and a moderate walk from the HBF. You won’t be disappointed thanks Udo for a great stay.

Roomy apartments with kitchen facilities and a washing machine in every apartment. Great for a long distance travellers. Super friendly and funny guy works on reception. He speaks six languages and can recommend local dining options. Though it is right in the heart of the city the apartments are quiet and warm.

I had a reservation for 2 nights. This property's check-in closed at 7PM. I notified the property manager earlier that I may make it in time but it's possible that I might be few minutes late. My plane arrived 30 minutes late and I arrived at 7:08PM, building was closed. Having just arrived in Germany, my phone was not setup yet to make local phone calls. I went to a nearby hotel to have a roof over my head for the night. When I came next day morning to finally check in, property manager told me I can't because they sold my room to someone else since I did not check in the night before. They were still going to charge me for 2 nights. I said how can you deny me service but charge for both nights, response was that it's their policy. I asked how much time did I have to actually check in, manager said I could check in at any time. So I want to check in now (11am next day), response was you can't because your room was sold to someone else. We went into this endless loop. When my credit card statement arrived, I was in fact charged to both nights. I would not recommend this place.

A perfect place for a family

It was a great place at a great location. The place was very clean and cozy to stay with two children. The rooms were spacious with a full kitchen, and the bathroom was very clean. All the staffs were extremely helpful and friendly, especially Udo. It was located in the center of old town, easy and quick walk to all the major sites. We will definitely come back here on our next Dresden trip. 10 out of 10.

Check-in was trickier than expected because the front desk of the facility was closed, and we had to go over to the partner Suites establishment, across the plaza. Parking was recommended in a lot across from the police station and proved to be fine and cheaper by half compared to all of the garages (although the machines only took coins). The aparthotel room itself was excellent: spacious, comfortable, and complete with dishwasher, clothes-washer, refrigerator, coffee-maker, and a wardrobe. The location was perfect, right off of Dresden's historic main plaza. Every interesting spot was walkable. Hotel staff was friendly. We would go back.

This is a lovely hotel located very close to the Dresden Christmas Market. The staff was very friendly and helpful...especially when we had a difficult time driving to the hotel due to the streets being blocked for the market. I’d recommend finding the hotel on foot during the Christmas season.

This apartment was incredible, and the price was so good it was hard to believe. The view over old town could not be beaten, the apartment was huge, modern and luxurious. Little the main square is out your window, as soon as we saw it we ran downstairs and booked extra nights.
The only downfall was horrible expensive parking

I liked the spaciousness, the view overlooking the plaza, and the fact that it was an apartment that included washer as well as a kitchen. On the negative side, it was difficult to find the apartment with the instructions provided and the assigned parking space In the parking garage was very tight and difficult to access.

A tenant told me before we entered the room “this apartment is really good, enjoy” and it was true.
It was only one night stay, but we are happy to chosen this apartment holtel.

These accommodations were amazing. We were sad we were only there for one night. Our room was more of an apartment [maybe that's why it's called 'Apart'hotel] We had two rooms, a large living room, kitchen area, and a washing machine! We could see Frau Kirche from our windows. It was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was great at answering our questions, helping with some needs we had. We traveled with family and they had a different room set up than we had, but it was just as nice. I wish we could have been there longer.

Very bad hotel

The staff looked friendly upon my arrival. However they could not find my booking when I have shown my confirmation letter to them. Their faces looked extremely bad with unfriendly manner, saying that I have not booked. They asked me to pay for another room again even I had shown my letter confirming my paid record. They were unfriendly all along, seeming that I cheated of a paid room. After their clarification with hotel.com that I have booked and paid, and they did not apologize and did not explain why that's happening.
As a hotel service, it's really bad customer service I had ever seen all over the world. As their mistakes with long discussion about room issue, my car was fined by the police as i have stopped nearby for their delayed prolonged check in. They denied their responsibility. They spoiled my happy trip and had a bad impression to Dresden.

Very noisy at night time even I have closed all window.

Location couldn’t be more central in old part of Dresden. Breakfast buffet was in walking distance in a few minutes and was good and had a lot of choices. Hotel was clean, the room was just not prepared for all four of Our family, but was changed immediately upon our asking.

The room I booked has some of the basic kitchen appliances: ample-sized fridge, microwave, dishwasher, water heater, toaster, coffee machine, and a two-burner stove. Though I only stayed for two nights, it saved me some money for buying food and eating in. No teas or coffees in the room though, need to request that from the reception.

Quiet hotel in a prime location

Stayed for two nights in January 2019. The hotel is very conveniently located and is in a very quiet area. If you are arriving at the main train station, you can take a tram to the Altmarkt stop and from there it is a 5 min walk. Alternatively, a 11E taxi ride. Studio apartment had plenty of room for two, the kitchen is nice and equipped with basic utensils for two, range, dishwasher and microwave. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. The hotel includes breakfast in the package but it's not on premises - in a different hotel in 5 min walk, which is somewhat hard to find. The breakfast is adequate. If you choose to have breakfast in the apartment, there is a local small store around (google it) but no supermarkets - you'd have to ride the tram to get your groceries. Overall, a great option to stay in Dresden and if/when I return I won't hesitate to stay here again.

Loved the hotel. Very clean. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Central to everything we wanted to see including three Christmas markets. The only hiccup was that the hotel is very hard to find and if you arrive later in the afternoon expect to be driving through crowds of people in pedestrian area to the reception. We couldn't park in underground garage, as we didn't pre book, however we were directed to public parking a short walk away. Overall wonderful stay!

The aparthotel is very close to all museums and supermarkets. We just walked to the famous Dresden gallery, bridge across the Elbe, and good restaurants. The apartment itself is very warm and comfortable. We made coffee in the morning in the kitchenette. However, there was no frying pan to make an omelet. I did not bother to ask and just boiled eggs for a quick breakfast. A couple of times we bought groceries nearby and I cooked in the apartments using the microwave. The kitchen is not well-equipped if you want to make soemthing special. It is better to go to the nearby restaurants that are not expensive and very good.

The rooms look brand new, are very clean and are fully equipped with a fridge, oven, microwave,dishwasher and even a washing machine. There are also plates, glasses and utensils. The location is perfect as you are right in the middle of the historical Dresden. You can find a full grocery store in the basement of Hallmark place( 5 minutes walk) which is so convenient if you want to have breakfast at home or even make some sandwiches. I would definitely go back there if I was visiting Dresden again.

The apartment is beautifully decorated, very clean & good amenities. Check in process was woeful. Had to find my way (without directions from hotel) from Main train station to coffee house to collect the key. Then had to go back to train station to find apartment again without directions. On arrival at apartment key stuck in door & I had to request a solution from Contact person as none was forthcoming. Eventually the situation was sorted however an annoying start. The apartment is not centrally located and I did not feel comfortable walking the street night. I would not recommend this apartment to a single traveller however couples may find it suitable.

This was the most amazing find! The staff was incredible and we were upgraded when our room wasn’t ready to a two room apartment with cathedral views. The locations to any of the apartments are extremely central and you can get anywhere by foot. Loved our experience and will definitely be returning.

Stay one night here. Everything was perfect for us. Minutes walk to major attractions and good restaurants. Room is spacious. Serious problems there. We were required to stay in a building next door in a new apartment with cheap furniture and a problem lock on the door getting in that was not fixed for ten days!!! The staff didn't take it seriously. I could not recommend Am Schloss to anyone and will never go back. No one should trust Am Schloss for a trouble-free visit to Dresden.

Our stay was great! The location is handy for major Dresden attractions and room was clean and comfortable. My husband was immediately talking about going back! While there are handy restaurants, we made extended use of the kitchen facilities. There is a large mall with multiple grocers only two blocks away, so it was easy to get our own food and chill when we didn't feel like going out. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Great hotel in a great location! We truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located close to all of the tourist sights and restaurants. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We didn't even ask but they provided us with dog bowls and dog food for our dogs! It was a nice surprise to walk into our room and see three dogs bowls placed on the floor with three cans of dog food. I have never experienced a hotel that offered that level of service for pets! I was truly impressed! We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for several days on a family trip to Dresden. The hotel offers great value for the money, the staff is very helpful and the hotel is located literally a few steps from all the wonderful sights of Dresden. Thre Wi-Fi can be improved. There is no AC but even in June it was not needed.

A Hidden Gem

A nice large room - about 450 sq feet - with king bed, kitchenette, clothes washing machine in the center of the old town and at a very reasonable price.that included a buffet breakfast.

Great Value - Perfect Location in Dresden

This little hotel is perfectly located to see the main attractions in Dresden. It is not elaborate but it is comfortable and the hotel employees are helpful answering questions. You might hear some street noise earlier in the day or evening but it gets very quiet at night, at least it did when I was there in early June. I always like to book places like this with a little kitchenette when possible. I would definitely book the Aparthotel am Schloss again should I return to Dresden. (One thing lacking was a shelf in the shower to put your own shampoo/conditioner items on. It was a little awkward trying to use them without any place in the shower to set them.)

I did not get the room I requested. We received a much smaller handicap room. Requested room with separate bedroom.

Nice stay at the old ballet school

Everything was well presented parking in the same building. Helpful staff always pleasant hostel room had a washer and they even brought a dryer. I would recommend this establishment to others. We were upgraded a level

Location is great and the small kitchen was comple

This was my first trip to Dresden, so I was happy that the hotel was close to so many tourist sites. I was also glad that the kitchen was complete because I would be making my own breakfast, since there was no restaurant in the hotel. Dresden is a beautiful city and I found the Hop On Hop Off tour a great way to discover the many beautiful and interesting attractions in this wonderful city.
