Location was excellent so close to Old Town and Christmas Markets this was the #1 feature. Arrived 1230 room unavailable but other guests who checked in at same time and after us were given immediate access so unsure what the real issue was. But enjoyable 2nt stay in this great city

Absolutely love this place! It was so centrally located and perfect for walking and taking public transit. The front desk staff were PERFECT! So nice, helpful and every process from checking in to asking questions could not be more smooth! Perfect spot to just sleep in and take a nice hot shower!

Small but close to many landmarks

The room was very small. It was only 2 of us, so it worked. We got 2 beds. The bathroom & room itself was pretty clean. They have no hand towels, so be sure to bring your own. The walls are very thin.

It’s near a lot of the landmarks in Dresden. It’s also right across the street from the train line & if you’re driving, you can park at the hotel for 15€/night with in/out privileges or just across the street for 6.50€/night.

The breakfast was mainly different breads, cheeses, cuts of meats, coffee, teas, jams, butter, juices, cereals, boiled eggs, & fruits.

There are a lot of different options to eat, & a ‘mall’ across the street with many stores & a lot more things by it.

Overall, the hotel is in a really great location.

Room was very nice, right size for two people. Hotel is literally 2 mins walk from Christmas market. Very safe to walk at night. Very close to train/bus station. They gave us the option to choose from having the cleaning crew come in the morning to clean room or get a drink in the hotel. We chose drink and it was a big one. Breakfast was good. Everything was very good!

Loved our stay for the Dresden Christmas markets. The hotel is steps from the city centre, really close. Continental breakfast included is fresh & delicious, including freshly made bread, it will set you up for the day. Great location, very helpful staff, thank you!

The hotel is in a great location, it was clean, the room was clean, they gave a nice breakfast buffet. The cleaning staff was nice. The front desk attendants could smile some, acknowledge you when you are on front of them and not ignore you looking at the computer or paper. They lack customer service big time. We didn’t get a map o suggesting places to visit. Definitely that was the drawdown, the rest was great. Dresden is a beautiful city to visit.

There’s an issue here with how they don’t greet their guest I had to come up to the reception area and say hi in order to check In. The rooms are small they didn’t clean the room well enough. The restroom shower had mold stains around the glass door for the shower I found trash underneath the bed that was not cleaned. The buffet was not my liking how come you dont Offer eggs? Nor omelets it was pretty weird we didn’t see eggs for breakfast nor lattes very disappointed they only benefit is that the hop on off city busses are pretty close by and two major shopping malls they have markets inside and restaurants for any needs.

Keep on moving!

The location is nice. The bed was bad, glad I brought my own pillow! The AC was broken and when brought to the attention of the front desk people they said it is t turned on and that is was too bad for you. It was a miserable night. No outside airflow and tons of street noise if you try to leave a window open. Rude front desk girl. Mediocre breakfast. Very nice man working clean up. I would advise you to stay somewhere else where they have working AC and customer service from the front desk staff. Not worth the price!

Convenient and budget friendly. It was a good choice for our stay. Great location and the contential breakfast was good. Only thing is that it would have been nice to have a restaurant in the hotel for a quick bite. But there are many restaurants in the area as well. Also, the bed was hard and uncomfortable.

Good location and the staff was friendly. Construction caused problems with using the parking garage and room was not ready at 1400hrs. Also new WiFi system prevented it from reaching higher floors. Breakfast was fine with selection of meats, cheese, breads and fruit with hard boiled eggs. Coffee, juice and cereals with milk on hand.

No room for us after having already paid weeks ago

I booked and paid for this hotel for its convenience to the train station. However, when we arrived there was no room for us and we had to go to another hotel further away. The second hotel was supposed to be an upgrade and it was nice, but not as convenient for us at all. I was traveling with my 82 year old mother who has a pacemaker and this added a huge amount of stress to our trip. Very disappointed!!!

Location to the old town was fantastic. transport from the train station to the hotel was also excellent. If one does not have many bags a person could walk from the station to the hotel. The only thing not good was the wi-fi reception in the room. It was ok at the entry door and then there was nothing, so we had to go to reception to use the wi-fi

Right on the middle of town

The hotel is in a perfect location just 3/4 mile or so from the train station. Shopping restaurants are all around you. Hop on hop off bus stops outside the door. Many sights like old opera house , churches etc are an easy 10 min walk in a straight line behind the hotel. American type mall nearby where you can buy just about anything My only small critique is the WiFi. It s a bit stressful as it stops a lot and you have to try getting back in from beginning often. Very weak. But I still rate this hotel 👍fantastic.

This was a very busy tourist hotel with a very small room, a limited breakfast buffet that was very crowded and chaotic, and only two very poorly-operating elevators for 7 floors and large crowds. The WiFi did not work in our 7th-floor room; only in the lobby. It was not a good deal for the money, unlike most hotels in Germany. However, the hotel is well-located near restaurants and sights; all are within easy walking distance. Parking is across the street in a public lot near a department store, but is relatively inexpensive and convenient. Staff was busy and harried with many problems and irate customers. The room was clean when we got there, but no one came to clean it for our second day and we had to call housekeeping for new towels. It was not the typically efficient operation found in Germany. But it was adequate enough for our sight-seeing purposes.

This is a new hotel in downtown Dresden with comfortable rooms that are are more American in terms of room size. I stayed in other hotels on this trip and this one felt like a room and not a walk-in closet.

Incredible bang for the buck! Awesome location

This Holiday Express is a true jewel thanks to its incredible location, the sound isolation, the breakfast, the staff. I used the parking across the street for 6 Euros/day. The hotel is modern, really new, wifi was a breeze, and you are 5 minutes away from the Altstadt, the Frauenkirche, the Semper Oper, the Zwinger.. it´s all at walking distance.

Internet advertised as 'high speed' however it took about half an hour to load one webpage (if you were lucky - often it didn't work at all). I asked reception about this and she offered to move me rooms however I stood outside the room she offered and there was no difference to the internet so if I had accepted this would have been a hassle for nothing. I was told there was nothing else they could do as the hotel was busy - this was very inconvienient as we couldn't do any research on how to get places, opening times over Christmas etc.
Beds are 140cm wide which is not comfortable for 2 people - was told if I wanted a room with 2 singles put together there would be no walkway in the room (as rooms are very narrow). Bed and pillows were also not comfortable. Breakfast was okay but not as good as I have had in other holiday inn express'. Also had minimal decoration for Christmas which I found disappointing. Staff were pleasant.

Great central location

Hotel is ideally placed for viewing the attractions of central Dresden. Nearly everything is in easy walking distance, including a wide variety of restaurants and the main shopping malls and, of course, the Christmas markets.
The hotel itself is modern and well appointed. Food is only served at breakfast time and, whilst this is served for about four hours and the breakfast area is big, we found it very busy whatever time we went for breakfast. Admittedly we were there during Christmas market time so it may be quieter at other times of the year.
The desk staff were multi-lingual and very helpful. We has an issue with the cleaning staff on our first day - room was not made up - but otherwise, they were fine.
One thing to watch. It is a big hotel and the lifts tend to get jammed up in the mornings when bus parties, of which the hotel seems to host a few, are checking out.

Located right in the middle of downtown

The hotel check-in was a breeze but I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes because of the peak time (2.30pm - ish). The room was smaller than I expected, but upon closer look at the pictures on the hotel website, I must say they are quite accurate. The room has all basic amenities, but the internet was pretty weak. You can check e-mails, and sometime make VoIP calls, but the signal vanishes many times. The cleaning staff are punctual and tidy. The beds were comfortable and the linens were pretty clean. Unlike most hotels, this one doesn't provide toiletries by default. You will have to go down and ask them for it.

Overall, go in with no expectations, and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Don't expect 5-star treatment; you will be bitterly disappointed.

Good location, great hotel

I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Located a mere 12 minute walk from the central train station, and about the same distance from the Zwinger. Very convenient.
Nice spacious room. Very clean. Very quiet.
Good breakfast.
The hotel was packed but we didn't suffer from it at all.

Internet connection is horrible

Although the room was comfortable and clean, the internet connection was close to non existing. It was so intermittent I had to move around the room to get a good connection. I then went down to the lobby which was supposed to have a very good connection, and in the middle of my work the internet died then came back on, it was very frustrating. These days internet access is so important, whether a person is on vacation or traveling on business, internet access is extremely important, and no matter how clean the room and the facilities are, they are useless without a decent internet access. This hotel has to improve its internet access otherwise it is not a place I want to stay at.

Achtung: Es gibt zwei Premiere Inns. Wir haben den nahe der Straßenbahn Haltestelle genommen.

Sehr gute Lage, super Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, super Sehenswürdigkeiten, super Verkehrsbindung - alles ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar.
Zimmer ist relativ Ruhig, auch wenn es Richtung Straße war. Personal is freundlich und nett. 4,6/5 Sternen

An der Bar gab es am Abend keine Biergläser und Weingläser. Der Wein wurde im sektglas gereicht und das frisch gezapfte Bier in einem weizenglas gebracht… geht gar nicht in einer Hotelbar. Zum Glück hatten wir selber Gläser dabei, die wir dann vom Zimmer geholt haben um den Wein zu trinken.
