Absolutely wonderful location close to virtually everything in Dresden. Spacious room with exceptionally high ceilings. In room amenities were somewhat limited. Route to the parking garage is obscure, to say the least but staff was friendly and the dining and sightseeing opportunities in walking distance are unbeatable.

The hotel check-in staff were very friendly, the breakfast was excellent, the location relative to the old city in Dresden is ideal, and because we need to parking, the option to park right downstairs and leave the car there until we left Dresden mid afternoon was exceptional.

We wanted so much to like this property, but here are the pros and cons:
Pros- very convenient to all historic Dresden has to offer. Helpful staff when they were there.

Cons- staff not there at check in : no one .
Had to call via Expedia to get someone to check us in .

Room we booked was not available due to cleaning issues. We were offered another bigger room , but it had issues as well.

AC limited per conservation policies?
No water offered for the room, along with limited toiletries. Room cleaning every other day - but door hanger if you wanted it everyday that we missed. Overall staffing issues upon our arrival.
Manager even admitted it was a rough beginning. With just a few tweaks this could be a great place to stay in Dresden. Do consider better pillows to start with.

The hotel is ideally situated within a few minutes walk from all major toutist attractions and from a great mall. There are plenty restaurants and cafe in the visinity, but they open at 9 am only, so for \"early birds\" there is some problem. One may eat breakfast in the hotel, but it costs 22 euro and the meal one obtains certainly isn't worth it. There was a coffee mashine in the room, but for coffee you have to pay. Mattresses and pillows were OK. A room service was every other day.

This is a great hotel in the heart of the Altstadt. Close to everything and a 25 minute walk from the train station. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff was great. I don't get to Dresden often, but I will stay here again.

Wonderful hotel, beautiful. But I could not the find the balcony that is showed in the property images. Shame. For both nights there, I luckily parked right where the back entrance is :) great times. Information about the property in not accurate: at 11pm there is no staff and you enter the hotel using the room card - means no check in
Room service every 2 days - if by accident or rain your room gets dirty - keep it dirty for on day more! And nowhere informed!
Breakfast until 10am - if you did not realize the time and arrive at breakfast room at 9:50 THEY DO NOT WARN YOU - they turn off everything and fully charge you…’ they could at least tell you that it is finished or about to finish and you wont be able even to have a coffee

The ideal location if you’re planning to see all the museums around the Frauenkirche and the Semper Opera. Nothing is farther than a 15-minute walk. This hotel is in the center of the old Town and walkable to many of the important sites in Dresden. It's a short tram ride from the main station, no need for a car. Public transport is excellent and can bring you everywhere else. Daily breakfast buffet is is served at a Vapiano which is across from the lobby, this is an additional charge. Other hotel type services are somewhat limited but the room, bed and bath are very nice, quiet and comfortable.

We booked this place specifically because it was downtown, had parking, laundry, large rooms, and hardwood floors.
Parking was full. Usually if this is likely to happen, the listing will say \"limited parking\", but it did not.
There was no public laundry room. You could give your stuff to housekeeping but they wanted to charge per item, between 4-11€, which is an extremely high price for a full bag of laundry.
We booked the comfort room plus, but they gave us the twin room, and said it would still be the same price. Supposedly they are allowed to give you a room with a heigher ceiling and charge for a larger room. They said only the corner rooms look like the photos.
The hardwood floors were very nice and it didn't have the usual hotel stink, but the pillows had a light scalp smell and there were a few small hair clippings under the blanket.

Great position right on the square by the Frauenkirche, restaurants and close to all the sights. Good sized rooms, very comfortable. Great breakfast and we also ate in the restaurant in the evening which served excellent food and was very reasonably priced. Helpful staff.

Even though the room was looking newly renovated, the cleanliness was a great disappointment. The floor was full of hairs and the toilet was not cleaned properly (there were stains). I will not stay there again and do not recommend anyone to stay there.

everything was very good - close to Frauenkirche and only a few minutes walk from the opera, all on the doorstep. Good breakfast. only drawback was noise from the building site next door whcih started early, but this is very temporary.

We did enjoy our stay at Amedia Plaza - not that easy to find, tucked away but in a great spot to explore the old town. Shame there was construction going on in front of the hotel but perhaps these things are to be expected in the cooler months when there aren't as many tourists. We were locked out of our room due to a faulty door mechanism and the receptionist had to accompany us to it each time we returned. We could have moved rooms but as we were only staying two nights it didn't seem worth it. Interesting set-up for breakfast when we had to go into Vapiano Restaurant next door. Buffet was ok but disappointing when the waitress tells you no more pancakes and there's still another 15mins of breakfast time available! Overall it was a 6/10 and scored that mostly for its location.

It was my third stay here; I really like the hotel. This time the room seemed slightly smaller. It is a great place, great location, well set up, clean. It is a little hard to find, parking is not great; I am picking about breakfast buffets and that was not my favorite (it's an extra, anyway, and convenient). Good place overall.

The hotel is located in the city center. The hotel staff is really nice. The room is really big and clean. Everything was perfect, except when I got the room, there was a towel left over from the previous guest that the cleaning lady forgot to take and the body lotion in the bathroom was used one.

Comfortable hotel in brilliant location

Superb location on the edge of the main square in this spectacular city. All the historic sites and the departure point for the river cruises are within a three minute walk. The tram line is one minute from the hotel.

The hotel is new and attached to a good quality Italian restaurant. However as tourists to Germany we opted for the German restaurants of which there are many in close walking distance.The room was very comfortable with a great bathroom - large and well appointed.

This would have been a 5* review on all elements however reception service was not quite up to the mark. Having come from Hamburg, Goslar and Leipzig the welcome at Dresden was less good.On three occasions when we needed service the receptionist saw us but continued working on a keyboard in the back office without acknowledging our presence. The eventual service was professional and satisfactory but not as friendly as in the other cities. On each occasion it was a different reception person which suggests it is a hotel standard rather than one person being a little less than welcoming.

Breakfast cost extra and at 15 euros was considerably more than previous hotels so we ate just around the corner for 9-12 euros.
