Great clean rooms. Breakfast for 16€ each is a rip-off. The selection was very basic and for the price and star rating of hotel you would expect more. Save the 16€ and go across the street to Rewe and save.

It was very convenient for the HSS. The rooms were clean & comfortable , cleaning staff were friendly.
There was no iron/ironing board as standard and I did have to request twice for one to be left in the room.
Also, there was no fridge, which would have been nice as temperature was 30 degrees.
In my opinion the breakfast was not worth €16, limited choice and very packed every morning.
There was a supermarket literally over the road and decent priced too.

The lack of breakfast provision for the number of hotel guests was totally unexpected and not welcome. How can a buffet breakfast be served for over 3 hours and then a guest advised the breakfast was 'booked out'. I stayed two nights. Breakfast on second day was never at full capacity for the hour I was there. Very poor organisation and customer mer service.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was! some of the reviews were not great, and next to train station. i stayed for 4 nts and went to the circus. i did not go near the train station at night but went the other direction and it was fine even walking or riding a bike at night. the hotel itself is nice with a nice bar in the lobby. there were people downstairs at night enjoying cocktails. there is a coffee shop and a grocery store across the street which were very convenient. a great place to stay outside of town and very convenient to where the circus was performing

Good location, room carpet was dirty. The dinner buffet was of very poor quality and the service in the restaurant is non existent. Stayed in multiple Leonardo hotels before but this location hurts the brand. Management needs to work to improve multiple areas. Reception and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful.

Not worth the money.

A poor choice of mine. Its one saving grace is that it was fairly close to the attractions. The bad was that it is close to railway lines that are loud at night, in a poor-ish area where you might not want to walk at night, and the breakfast is 14 Euros! I went to a bakery nearby and paid 5 for both breakfast and lunch. It wasn't a cheap stay either, around 60 Euros per night. Not worth 40 in my opinion. It will teach me to research more in the future. Forget this place and Dresden, move on to Prague, it's much nicer (and cheaper).

2 single beds pushed together apparently is a double bed. Overall the hotel was very clean with good size rooms. Food was faultless . The only thing that let the hotel down was the staff. Of the 5 we had dealings with, 1 was friendly and helpfull. The other 4 had all the time in the world..... for eachother and seemed put out to do thier job. Stern speaking and blunt manners. To be fair thats how i found most of the people in dresden but i would have thought people working in a hotel would have made the effort to atleast pretend they wanted to be there!!

Hotel is right next to Dresden mitte station which is 2 mins from Dresden Main station.Quiet room but light sleepers may hear the odd late night train. Modern Hotel with welcoming reception and bar area. Friendly staff, nice large room with comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities only down side no in room fridge. 15 minute walk through a park to historical areas.

Despite the claims they make there is, effectively, NO PARKING ONSITE. There are spaces for several TOUR BUSES only and FIVE spots limited to 15 minutes for cars.

There is, however, a multi-storey car park run by the city next door with plenty of room.It took me three go-arounds to figure this out because of random street closures.

Room is clean and spacious. Service is good. But the location is a bit far from the city centre.

Public carpark is just next door but you can find cheaper street parking nearby easily since it is not the city centre.

Breakfast is not good. Only few selection available.

Don't know why the same chain hotel Leonardo Heidelberg is a lot lot better than this one in Dresden.

A gem in Dresden

Very comfortable hotel with good-sized room and bathroom and comfortable mattress. Adjacent to Dresden Mitte station, so easy to find, and although not in a glamorous location, it is an easy walk to the attractions of the Altstadt. Limited choices for an evening meal in the immediate vicinity, but the dinner menu in the restaurant was interesting and reasonably priced. Pleasant, efficient service.

Had great time in Dresden as first leg of larger europe trip. Was here during large national festival. Getting around was easy to historic parts of town and museums and sites - convenient to public transportation which I took to hike in Kurort Rathen area - summer resort and national park - about 30 minute train ride away. Breakfast buffet had excellent selection of hot and cold choices

This is a convenient hotel a few hundred yards from S Bahn Dresden Mitte and 15 minutes from Airport door to door. So no need for taxis It is about 15 minutes walk to Zwinger Palace and all famous bits. Bed comfortable, but the sound proofing doesn't stop noise of trains. Breakfast good. Dinner less so but not all that expensive. Basic cuisine. Staff not very charming by best standards, but efficient. The deal I got was a very good value and I found my room comfortable and didn't dread going back there as can be true case with some 3* city hotels. The bar wasn't dearer than the town bars

Nice hotel near downtown Dresden

Long gone are the days when guests got breakfast free of charge. additional 25 EUR are charged nowadays ,no matter how many stars the establishment has. We tried as an alternative a nearby bakery , that served us a royal breakfast for two,for a mere 14 EUR. The free WiFi was too slow to use, so we opted to pay the additional 6 EUR charge for a speedy connection, but that was not much better.

Handy for central Dresden

Attended a conference in the city, so it wasn't a tourist trip. Hotel is hard-by a busy railway line, but with the windows shut there was no sound whatsoever from outside. With the windows open, however, it was loud! Not in a very glamorous setting but it suited my brief purpose. The room was very clean and comfortable - think Premier Inn, but smarter furnishings. Comfy bed, hot shower, food neither here nor there, just OK. You can walk into central Dresden with all the sights in a good 15 minutes.

It was so quiet in the corridors and at night that I thought the hotel must be empty. However, the breakfast sitting was packed out - this hotel has seriously good soundproofing! Nice not to have slamming doors and kids running down the corridors (or if they were, I didn't hear them!).

I would have appreciated more help with the dining room protocol....it wasn't clear whether you just found your own table, or had to wait. Felt like a lemon waiting for some guidance; always tricky when travelling solo.

An excellent hotel - clean and quiet, in a great location close to historic centre (10 min walk) and S Bahn station (a block away, which is convenient for getting to either the train station or the airport). WIFI not free, which seems crazy in this day and age, but there was a computer available in the lobby for online airplane check in etc. Recommended.

This is a very business orientated hotel. Clean and efficient. However, it is difficult to locate. It is close to Dresden Mitte, but a good distance from the main station. The main annoying feature is there is no wireless internet in the rooms. Wired internet is available in the rooms and very expensive to use. Wireless is available in the lobby and also charged, and not cheap. If this hotel group really want business people to visit, then they need to up their game and provide free internet (wireless & wired). Therefore, if they added €5 or €10 per room, per night, then they could provide free internet. Motel One (another business hotel chain) does provide free internet. The food was excellent, but I avoided breakfast as it was €12 compared to €7.50 in Motel One.They have competition. Next time I will stay in Motel One in Dresden.

Hotel has a good location: about 15 min walk to the Dresden Art gallery, 3 min walk to train station. The room is clean and goof equiped. BUT. If you need to have a Wifi connection - this hotel is not for you. 1 hour of internet costs 6 EUR. To compare. At the hotel on the next street the Internet is free.... So it was a huge disadvantage for me.
Breakfast was simple but it was not included in the price. So be careful during booking.

A little out of the way

The hotel location was a touch disappointing, but once you have navigated your way around and mastered the trams it is easily overcome. Hotel is modern in every aspect, very comfortable & clean. The day reception staff were not very helpful but the rest had a smile on their face. Having to pay nearly 12 Euro on top for slow Wi-Fi probably won't get me back there..

This was a very nice and clean hotel. Spacious room with comfortable seat with desk to work. The only issue is that you don't get WiFi for free, but if you sign up for a free membership in Leonardo system, you automatically get free WiFi (have to renew it daily). I liked that they are environmentally friendly, no washing your towels every day if you don't want it done. Overall truly a great place to stay.

Everything was awesome except the Internet

The staff here are the friendliest you will find in Dresden; perhaps in Germany. The room is very nice. The desk is a little small. The bathrooms are very innovative and comfortable. The problem is this: the Internet service here may be the worst in Germany. You have to pay 12-euros a day for a connection that they say is 256kbps but feels like a 56k modem. If you pay 18-euros a day you are told you will be able to stream content. I couldn't even play music. Finally, it is ethernet only. No wi-lan/wi-fi in the rooms. This sounds okay and wouldn't be so bad, but suddenly you realize you can't sit on the couch or in bed or anywhere with your computer. You are stuck at a tiny, uncomfortable desk. Luckily, I was at the conference center not far away that had free wi-fi. So even though I spent over $100 on an ethernet connection that couldn't even stream Pandora, I would walk to the conference center about four times a day to do real work.

Everything else about this hotel is awesome; so if you don't need Internet, this is a great place at a great price. If you want to stay connected, choose another venue.

P.S. They say there is wi-lan/wi-fi in the lobby. It is there, I guess, but that will cost you a separate 18-euros from the price paid in the room.

The hotel exceded my expectations. Excellent value for the money, 5 minutes walking to COngress Center, 10 minutes to major shopping center, 15 minutes walking to Old Center with all historic buildings and attractions, 3 minutes to tram station and to S bahn station, from S bahn Station direct train connections (3 minutes travel time) to Hauptbahnhof. Rooms very wel designed, with new, modern, pleasant colored furnishing and fixtures, excellent breakfast, with all necessary, warm and cold buffet, pastries, breads, cereals, vegetables and fruits. Nice and helpful staff. My room 1st floor towards a large street was not disturbingly noisy. Do not know about the rooms facing the railway, but the rooms seemed over all very well noise-proofed. The only downsides: 1. rooms rather small, perfect for single use, but probably somewhat crowded for double occupancy with large luggage; 2. very expensive fees for internet access in rooms and lobby, like 5 EUR/h. no wi fi in rooms, and only one free-of charge internet terminal in the lobby, slow and without PDF reader. Unexpected for a business-oriented hotel.

The service and professional staff was superior to normal european standards. We drove with our car and the parking facilities are at a very affordable price. This made our stay worryfree about where to park, security, and so on. The hotel itself is very well connected to the shopping mall and downtown.

man kann dort gut schlafen, die zimmer schon etwas älter. gutes frühstück. eine bar.
freundliches personal.

es fehlt an vielem. fitnessraum, zumindest fitnessmöglichkeiten, keine gastronomie. keine kleinigkeit zum essen.

im außenbereich sieht es recht schmuddelig aus. einfach hinsetzen, ein bier trinken, ...

Ich fand das Online Check in sehr gut und einfach zu handeln. Die Rezeptionisten beim check in und out waren alle freundlich und haben jede frage gut beantworten können.

Das Bett war richtig groß und fand die Flasche Wasser im zimmer toll. das Duschgel und Seifengel haben gut gerochen und das zimmer design sehr gut.

habe sehr gut und fest geschlafen und Weckruf kam wie gewünscht.

Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt super. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein, dafür aber sehr bequem und gut ausgestattet. Fehlt etwas, hilft das Personal gerne weiter. Die Lage ist in Ordnung. Bis zum Zentrum braucht man 10 - 20 Minuten zu Fuß, es gibt aber auch mehrere Tram Haltestellen direkt vor der Tür.

Wir wahren zufrieden mit der Unterkunft im Leonardo Hotel in Dresden. Das Hotel liegt leider an der Kreuzung von zwei Hauptstraßen, aber der Kurtze weg zur Altstadt macht das wieder wett.
Wir würden wieder im Leonardo Dresden buchen.
