Ibis Zentrum Dresden was clean and really close to the Dresden Hbf making it easily accessible. It backs onto a pedestrian area full of shopping, dining options, and a place to spend time on a nice day. We had a great stay.

Very basic. No tea trays. Asked to borrow a kettle and they had all gone (cupboard they're kept in was tiny). Same issue with iron. Rooms very small. Access to water is difficult

Very convenient location, right at the centre close to parking spots (of the hotel and other parking providers), with the added benefit of bicycle storage space behind the hotel. The staff is polite and the overall stay has added to our positive experience in Dresden. The breakfast buffet has got broad options, including beverages. The Ibis Dresden Zentrum is a 3-star hotel, with value for money for sure and at a central location with proximity to churches, shopping malls, cafes and sightseeing spots.

👍 staff were great and friendly. Eco friendly room service. Snacks available and water available.
👎 the beds are awful really not comfortable . The room was way too hot. The windows said do not open so I turned on the AC to wake up with a sore throat when I asked about the AC they said it doesn’t work and to open the windows. The windows open 2/3 inches. The shower 🚿 does not stay a constant temperature it rotates from freezing to the temperature you are trying to get it at.

I stayed 4 nights and for what it was - it was really expensive and I’m very disappointed.

The train station was within walking distance even with luggage. Parking was convenient. Staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was an option and they offered a sack lunch as an option. Shopping and restaurants were located right outside the hotel. I did make a request by email before our trip and the email went unanswered, but not answering is an answer, so we made do. I would stay here again.

The room was tiny, but basically had what we needed. Breakfast was good. Location excellent to transportation and historical buildings, ss well as shopping and restaurants. The hotel is enormous a caters to many bus groups, which means there are times when reception is crowded.

Biggest issue was that AC could not keep up with the outside temperature.
Otherwise the room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly.
Parking is definitely limited - if you need it I'd suggest reserving it ahead of time. That said, it is close to public transport and easy to get around.

Room 329. Its never pleasant to find someone else hairs in the shower. The rug needs a deep wash. AC was 'working' but wouldnt cool the room. The pillows are terrible. Luckily I was solo so I could use the 2nd pillow otherwise I wouldnt have had any comfort. Check-in was fine, elevators were working well, the room was soundproof enough to not hear people in the corridors. Maybe I just got a bad room. For the price and the proxinity to the Altstadt and the Banhoft, you can do worst.

The location is amazing and walkable to everythinG. Honestly, the hotel is huge but the reception operate with just 2 staffs so be prepared to stand in a que for 1 hr just waiting everytime you want to speak with a receptionist. Additionally, room is very basic and the pillows gave us neck aches and back aches they are like sheets rather than pillows. At checkout, we asked for a 1 hr late checkout but they wanted us to pay for it. We asked for directions for certain sightseeing, we got a wrong answer too. Its convenient for cheap stays but dont expect much

Only negative thing is that the bathroom ventilation fun is not working, left some bad smell when you get inside room.
For North American guests, do not forget bringing a power adaptor converter

It is good to stay one day.

It is located at the center of the city. Good for a walking visit of all historical places. Actually I have never tried a hotel like that before. The room was small. No refrigerator or coffee maker.

This hotel is very close to the Dresden Central train station. It is located in a shopping area of the city. The room that we chose was an economy double bed room. It had a small desk and the bathroom was clean. You can see into the city from the window. Ask for extra pillows if you like to have 2 pillows per person. The staff was friendly and spoke English! A huge plus for us.

Location, cleanliness, cost, efficiency: all good and what we expect at any ibis
Wfi: too weak in our room and so I went to the lobby to work on my devices .
Staff: as I entered the lobby, I stopped to report this issue to the front desk. I was sharply told that the problem is not the wifi but my iPhone,’which was then taken by the attendant, who went flipping through my phone, the screen out of my view. Then he returned it. I showed a screen shot of the 1 bar of reception in my room, and the device was grabbed again. When I asked to see my screen as he flipped through it, he tossed it on the counter and retorted, lIm not a technician” and turned away. Wow. All I wanted to do was report the weak signal.

Na pokoji nebyly ručníky a osušky. Pro tyto potřeby jsme si museli dojít osobně do druhé budovy a přes ulici jsme si je museli donést na pokoj. Hotelový servis nefungoval.
Jen ze dvou plastových kelímků určených k hygieně byl nepoužitelný / byl praskly/. Po létech ubytování v tomto hotelu jsme byli poprve nespokojení.

My first experience with Ibis hotels. It was just one night and it was very expensive fir one night, $185 with taxes. The room was clean and quiet. The sheets on the bed are scratchy and pillows are very substandard. The room had all the basics and was very close to the Christmas markets-one was right outside. Staff were polite. Very close to train station.

Beware of rather disappointing Konigstein annex!

I booked a room in the Ibis in Dresden, as one of 5 nights in Germany in the week, and this was the most expensive of the five hotels. I was allocated a room not in the Ibis shown in the picture, but at the old Konigstein annex further along the road. The room here was very basic, with en-suite shower, but no other facilities such as tea / coffee, and the TV did not work. It was the least pleasant of all the five hotel rooms that week.

This was my first experience of an Ibis hotel and would consider the chain again as a result in particular I'd be happy to use this hotel again.I found the hotel to be fresh and modern,the room was comfortable and was close to the railway station which suited me.The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Old town area.On the down side I'd prefer to be able to check in a bit earlier than 15.00.

The hotel is very centrally located in Dresden so that’s very good and convenient. The breakfast was ok, sufficient variety. Room was fine and clean if small side and bathroom was clean. I think the rooms are now showing their age but are still functional. I enjoyed the stay.

Typical Ibis - convenient location and a good deal

I'd forgotten how stingy the pillows at the Ibis chain are, but aside from that it was fine. Only about ten minutes walk to train station, good sized room, (although very small bathroom), very nice housekeeping staff. Appreciated the fact that the soap and shampoo are refillable and not wasteful plastic - just another cost cutting Ibis tool, but at least it's environmentally friendly.

I reserved 6 rooms for 10 people, arriving Saturday July 11. Our airlines are not flying to Germany and the aGerman government will not allow Americans in the country because of the virus. I contacted hotels.com 3 times in order to alert them of my dilemma. They promised me 3 times they would contact me within 24 hours regarding a refund or voucher. Hotels.com failed to contact me. It is only fair the hotel refund my money or issue me a refund. Please respond.

The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to Dresden train station so you can drop your bags off quickly. But if you're travelling light look at hotels closer to the old town. This hotel looks and feels like it hasn't been updated since the DDR days. Seriously, everything is outdated. The room was functional but very small and i had to use the desk to access my suitcase. The bathroom is tiny - so tiny you have to sit sideways on the toilet! The shower is functional but everything feels cheap - the door clanked and opened mid shower soaking the floor. The bathroom could have been cleaner. There appeared to be dried blood on the inside of the door frame! The room lacked a kettle and coffee making facilities. This is unacceptable for an Ibis hotel - we book them because we know what to expect and a kettle is essential. Worst of all was the bed. The mattress was very cheap and soft. Every time my partner moved the whole mattress bounced. I was woken up several times because of this. The pillows were also small and thin. Basically if you want a good sleep do not stay here. Oddly, although the staff spoke English they seemed surprised a British person would stay there. Every other guest we met was German. Finally, upon checkout we asked to leave a suitcase for three hours. We were charged for this. I have never before been charged to leave a suitcase at a hotel. If you want to know what it would have been like to stay in a hotel in the DDR era then this is close!

The staff were quite rude on arrival, when i got to room it was not made with soaking wet towels in the sink. I rang reception and told them. They said there was no housekeeping at 21.30 and were sorry. I had to say i wanted a new room or they would have left me in that one. Its a hotel getting quite tired too. Found duvets too thick also. Very hot night despite air con being on
