1st- jetted hot tub didn’t work and they knew but failed to inform us even at check in. We had to call for help and after arguing with me over whether I had a jetted tub in my room or not they blew responsibility onto someone else by saying that unit was privately owned and it’s their responsibility to fix it. Which then leads into the issue of I didn’t rent the property from a private owner. I rented it from Nordic village, so why are they not the ones fixing the problem?
2nd- it says it is two queen bedrooms, but they are not queen beds. They are full-size beds at best and they are small and it was a tight fit and uncomfortable.
3rd- tv didn’t work in one of the bedrooms. No cable just black screen. Called the front desk for Help and they did say and maintenance who proceeded to say the unit was again privately owned and he didn’t know why the owner took the TV that he had just pulled up out and put this one in even though that one didn’t work to begin with. Maintenance then proceeded to take TV out of the closet hook it back up and told us we could login into our Roku apps to watch something. So still no cable and no way was I logging in on someone else’s device.
4th- the unit was HOT. Like they wanted us roasting like a chicken. We turned all the heating units down as far as we could we’re off if it let us and still the heat was blasting at full speed I could not that unit was 90° or more and we could not cool it down.
5th- indoor heated pool was cold!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, but it does not compensate for poor state of the amenities. In the room: The fireplace, which is not wood but electric now, was not working (we were promised 10%off though). The faucet was leaking, the hair drier was not working, there were no pool towels in the room as was supposed to be (they sent the maintenance to bring towels after we called). In the pool the outdoor hot tub had no jets working, it was just a hot bath. The temperature in the indoor jacuzzi and dry sauna was never hot enough. We were leaving during ice storm and the walkways from the unit were pure skating rink, not salted or sanded. The road was very slippery. This place is great, but needs to improve their maintenance a little bit.

Have stayed at least 6 times, in various rooms, over the last 20 years and this will be the last time. The room was a bit dirty, dust and cobwebs. Only One of the 2 mini-splits was working. It was in the 30's at night and cold. The heater that was working was VERY noisy. The blinds were missing from the huge window with the stained glass and built in window bench. Brackets are there but just the bright sun rising in your eyes while in bed. The mattress should be changed, it's obviously old. The shower has two different heads, one was broken and spraying water from around the shower head. It was just awful, it was freezing and bright at 6am, happy 20th anniversary!

Every person that I met on the property was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. From the women in reception to the man cleaning the pools to the man who fixed a little problem in our room to the maids I met in the hall, everyone was welcoming and hospitable. The grounds were well taken care of and filled with things to do and the pools and hot tubs were exceptionally clean.

The condos are getting a bit tired. They are clean and comfortable. The jacuzzis need to go. They are old and I can't imagine whats in the pipes. Shower is dangerous because you have to climb into the jacuzzi which is slippery and no handles to hold on to.

The hot tubs were cold and they removed the adult one and it is outdated. The tub in the bathroom had the reverse hot/cold and very outdated. Bathrooms in the inside pool area were very dirty. The screen going out to the deck was Brocken and a few bees got in the room. I’ve been a few times back years ago but won’t be back again for the money I paid for one night.

Such a gem, with a wonderful staff of lovely pearls of people! From check in through even after checkout and being allowed to use the amenities still, everyone was so welcoming, not only helpful - and eager to be so too. What a great property and set of structures and buildings.

The property is nice however the newly renovated was just some new light fixtures and countertops, the carpet looks old and the stairs leading to the master bathroom were creaky and felt loose. The faucet in the master bathroom was loose and the shower and tub are both really old. Was expecting a completely renovated place but it is only slightly updated. However it is clean and a large place, I would stay there again.

We chose Nordic Village Resort for it's proximity to StoryLand and price point for a one bedroom suite with two kings beds. Having a separate room and door for the kids to sleep in was a luxury we were willing to spend on. The rooms were average but clean enough. Beds not too firm and not too soft. This was probably in it's prime about 15 years ago so things are just a bit dated. We stayed for one night and made use of the indoor pool and hot tub with the kids and my husband and I took turns going to the gym facility on site.
Only a couple of marks against the stay and they include a lack of pool towels in the room despite being told we'd have them and an issue with the heat in the room. I had to go to the main office to pickup towels across the street and they were the size of hand towels. I could barely get them around my waist! That night it was a bit chilly and my husband and I had a bit of trouble getting the heat going. There was a fireplace but we couldn't find how to turn it on and the room didn't get warmer than 62 after an hour of increasing the heat on the thermostat. Luckily there were two space heaters so we used that.
Overall it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Kids had a blast at StoryLand and the pool so location and pools on site were the best features.

There was a fireplace but we couldn't find how to turn it on and the room didn't get warmer than 62 after an hour of increasing the heat on the thermostat. Luckily there were two space heaters so we used that.
Overall it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. Kids had a blast at StoryLand and the pool so location and pools on site were the best features.

We have been coming here for for nearly 20 years now. Its a great quiet space, beautiful mountain views, lots of amenities. The rooms could use an update, a few small cosmetic issues, but nothing majorly disappointing. they have added a lot of nice new outdoor recreational areas, the pools are immaculate. and the location is great, just close enough to everything.

The pictures posted online are not an accurate depiction of the room, seemed to have been taken years prior. Regardless, the stay was comfortable. Only real issues were cleanliness. Odd smell when using the jets on the jacuzzi, didn't use it again after. Beehive on the porch and many dead bugs in the screen of most windows, there were was a large accumulation. Some blinds are broke and do not close all the way. Screens also had lots of dust on them. The TV is also at an odd angle and makes watching from the sofa or bed uncomfortable.

I love the Nordic Village set up, balkony with the mountain view, outdoor heated swimming pools, sound and steam room. We were not able to enjoy the fire-pit, pond, sheep and trails due to the poor weather conditions. Our apartment was a bit outdated but our stay was great and I recommend this property. The ladies at the reception desk were very nice and helpful.

The Chateau is the newer, updated area abd very beautiful. For the price you feel like kings and queens. Very spacious and amazing views and amenities. My only complaint is the indoor area for pool is small and the kids there were rude while parents did nothing but sit with their phone. My bf and I were told the deep end of the pool was for them abd to go in the shallow end or somewhere else so they could dive and play. It was annoying. Other than that it was a very relaxing time there.
