The hotel was nice and the staff were friendly, I just didn’t enjoy check-in was 4 o’clock, which is rather late, and check out at 11 AM which is average. I just felt for the money we weren’t there very long. We had a hockey game we were seeing which was far from the hotel. Hockey game started at four so we couldn’t check in until about 7 o’clock at night. So Wednesday there again. Would stay somewhere closer to either downtown Ottawa or Canadian tire Center.. It was close to neither. But the room was nice. The shower was amazing and the bed was very comfortable, but had to pay for parking which you don’t in most other hotels in the middle of nowhere.. Probably wouldn’t stay there again.

My daughter and I arrived for the weekend . The check-in process was seamless, with staff who were not only professional but genuinely warm and attentive. Every interaction felt personalized, not scripted.

The room was immaculate—beautifully designed, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail, from the lighting to the amenities, made it easy to relax and feel at home.

What truly stood out, though, was the level of service throughout my stay. The staff anticipated needs before I even had to ask, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

The room was a bit dusty and the mirror on the door of the joining room had a lot of marks on it also the door coming into our room.
Besides that the room was great! Beds were comfy and clean. I have stayed a few and always enjoyed. The staff are very friendly and welcoming!

We called days in advance to ask about the shuttle, and request to book it. We were told there was absolutely no need to reserve ahead, and that we could just catch the shuttle on the day of. When we arrived on the day of, we were told the shuttle was already full and there was nothing they could do. Left us stuck and forced to spend a fortune on Uber.

It was impossible to sleep because something in the room was making a high-pitched buzzing sound and a ticking/knocking noise all night. We informed staff and they did not even apologize. Just said \"thanks for letting us know.\" We were looking forward to a good night's rest, seeing as we paid a lot for a \"high-end\" hotel. Instead we had to drive 3 hours home on no sleep. The bed is also uncomfortable and the pillows are horrible - not one pillow on the bed had any support.

Pools are the most complicated and difficult to get to I've ever experienced in a hotel. They close at 9:45 p.m. on a Friday night, which is crazy. And the hot tub only has jets on the seat so they literally all point at your rear end and not a single jet can aim at your back.

Really awful experience overall.

We are often in Ottawa for business and always choose to stay here. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the counter in the bathroom large enough to actually use. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in Options Jazz lounge, got a good night's rest and are looking forward to our next visit.

Had a great stay. Staff were very friendly. Got to see a few NHL players from the Minnesota Wild & Carolina Hurricanes who were in town to play the Senators. Pool was great not too crowded and hot tub was the right temp. Rooms were clean and very spacious. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Ottawa.

Very nice hotel - feels luxurious, especially for the reasonable nightly rate. The room was very clean. The pool was big enough for everyone there. Dining options were also great, and Starbucks available in the hotel in the morning.
We stayed before heading to a Sens game, when the visiting team stayed here. Hotel staff were very accommodating and understanding of excited kids wanting to see players.
We’ll happily return, and recommending Brookstreet to friends.

I’ve stayed at Brookstreet Hotel many times over the years, and it has always been a place I genuinely look forward to returning to. The service, atmosphere, and overall experience have consistently been excellent, which is why I continue to choose it.

However, this most recent stay was not as enjoyable. I was placed in a room that was connected to a neighboring room by a door, and unfortunately the soundproofing was very poor. I could clearly hear conversations from the other room both early in the morning and late at night, which made it quite difficult to sleep and relax.

This was disappointing given my past experiences, and I do hope that in future visits I can be placed in a room with better sound insulation. I still value this hotel highly and hope this was just an isolated issue.

Rooms were clean, check in was good. Had a bad stay as a result of other guess up till 3am parting loudly in the room next to ours. Expressed our concerns to the front desk but nothing was resolved. I think this hotel is aging quickly and needs up grades. The walls are paper thin and you can hear even the softer noises at night. When people feel they can party all night it is quit overwhelming.

Overall…Soap dispenser was empty in shower; towels were a little harsh, toilet tissue was too thin. And we had a room 1504 with a closed adjoining door and sound from the adjacent room was easily transmitted. Not always pleasant language and intermittent screaming. Overall though, the hotel is still charming and we would go back.

Stayed at Brookstreet Hotel for a business trip and it exceeded expectations. The rooms are very well equipped with everything you need, and the beds are extremely comfortable - made it easy to relax after long days.

The conference facilities were excellent, and the event staff were truly outstanding - professional, attentive, and well organized throughout. Overall, a fantastic experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again for business or leisure.

A very nice hotel I go to every year. Use it mostly when taking in a Senators game.
I normally rate this hotel as a 5 star, but this time it sort of missed the mark.
We booked a two night stay and the fridge only had two bottles of water in it. Before heading up to our room on Friday night, we went the vending machines for some munchies but they were mostly empty except for some pop. The only answer from the front desk was an \"Oh well.\"
The following morning we had the two coffee cups, but the room did not get serviced that day, so nothing available for the following morning.
Other than that a great place.

Microwave at request for free to reheat food if you need it. They have a cafe too that has a coffee and breakfast sandwich for $8 and other snacks / sandwiches

was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had.
I woke up in the morning to a very strong smell of urine coming from the bed. After checking, it became clear the urine was actually coming from the mattress itself and soaking up through the sheets. The mattress was clearly contaminated and the bedding had not been properly cleaned or checked before the room was given to a guest.
Unfortunately, I only discovered this after sleeping in the bed the entire night, meaning I unknowingly slept in urine.
I took photos and a video clearly showing the liquid soaking up through the sheets from the mattress.
What makes this even more frustrating is how the situation has been handled. When I checked out, I specifically asked to speak with a manager and was told someone would contact me. I also sent an email with the photos and video documenting the issue. Despite that, no manager has reached out to me at all.
Sleeping in a contaminated bed is completely unacceptable and a serious hygiene issue. The lack of response from management afterward is just as concerning.
I hope the property takes this seriously, both in addressing the cleanliness standards and in how they respond when a guest raises a serious issue.

My family and I have stayed at the Brookstreet Hotel on six different occasions over the years, and it has always been a place we’ve looked forward to visiting. Because of those consistently great experiences in the past, I felt it was important to reach out and share some concerns about our most recent stay.

Prior to our arrival, my credit card had unfortunately been compromised. I called the front desk ahead of time to ask if there was any flexibility regarding the security deposit. I was told there was nothing that could be done and that a credit card was required. While I understand policies are in place for a reason, the interaction felt somewhat dismissive and set a disappointing tone before we even arrived. Upon arrival the front desk told me there was absolutely no issue putting the $200 charge on debit , which took my be surprise and upset me a little as I rushed around for 24hrs prior to get a credit card setup and activated so I could pay the deposit, which ultimately I did NOT need to do.

When we checked in and arrived at our room, there were several dirty plates and room service trays sitting outside our door. I called the front desk to have them removed, but an hour later they were still there. After calling again, they were finally cleared — but only after approximately three and a half hours had passed.

Later that evening we ordered room service. Unfortunately, the drinks that were delivered were not what we ordered, and the cookies we received were complet

I thought my husband had a video or something playing on his phone. It was the TV of the room next door! We asked to be moved at 11pm at night and were accommodated.

Very over rated hotel. We had a really bad experience with check in staff. We waited 20minutes in line for the check in staff to mess up our rooms, then had to wait another 20 min in line to talk to her again. She was extremely condescending. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable and hard.
