This is my regular hotel when I'm in Ottawa for business meetings since my company is headquartered there. Every time I go, it's the exact same experience. The staff is excellent. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable. The breakfast is a very typical hotel breakfast that offers something for everyone. I've always found it kind of unique that this hotel always seems to have a little bit of an almost Mexican flair to the food, with things like pulled pork for breakfast.

Such a small thing to complain about, but I really wish that these hotels would recognize that putting certain things in steam tables to keep them warm makes them gross (think hashbrowns)

Rooms were clean. Friendly staff. Gym, pool and onsite restaurant were amazing. Parking is underground and roof clearance is very tight. Doubtful if a tall pick up truck or big SUV will pass through

We had a nice stay at Homewood. The room was big. My only complaint was that the king size bed appears to be smaller than the usual king size bed in other hotels where we stayed at in the past. It’s a good thing there’s an extra sofa bed for my kids to sleep in.

We also like the fact that there’s a mini kitchen complete with 2-burner induction stove, a big fridge, dishwasher and basic dinner plates and cutlery.

There’s also hot breakfast which is a plus.

The hotel breakfast was very disappointing. The variety of food was quite limited, and we had to wait a long time in line just to get a table. By the time we finally sat down, there was barely any food left. For example, today when we went to get cornflakes, they told us they had completely run out of milk. Overall, I really didn’t like this part of the experience.

As for the room, even though I had booked a city view, all we could see was a tall building right in front of our window, which made the room feel quite gloomy and unpleasant.

The room was spacious and clean with a nice river view. The staff was terrible - at the check in and in the morning during entering to breakfast area.

The check in was slow and the receptionist was just repeating the same phrases Great,Perfect without answering any of my questions and in the end just gave me a paper and told me all the info in on it. Well,it is nice to have that paper but would be nice also to have some of my questions answered even though the answers were on that paper. In the morning (at 7.10 am when we came for breakfast,the receptionist who asked our room number said that she has already seated 4 people under our room’s number,amount of guests and under MY name. I suggested for her to see my passport to see that I am actually who I am and I am here and not inside the breakfast area. She was rude and her facial expressions as well weren’t nice. She said ok whatever JUST GO. I don’t think that this behaviour corresponds to a 4 start hotel.

The breakfast was fresh and delicious with variety of options. The room was very quiet-I couldn’t hear any noise from other rooms around.

The pool area was well heated with a lot of towels and seats.

Overall,the hotel is great for staying if you don’t mind the staff.

I recently stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Ottawa Downtown and had a very pleasant overall experience. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, which made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The housekeeping standards were excellent, and everything felt fresh and tidy upon arrival. The location is also very convenient for exploring downtown Ottawa, with many attractions within walking distance.

Clean hotel and room with courteous staff. Breakfast was included in our room rate and the selection was in line with what most hotels usually offer. Parking is available (underground with in and out privileges) at an additional cost but again this is expected in downtown and was cheaper than a lot of other places we had considered. Please do note that the ceiling clearance is quite short so tall/big vehicles wont fit in the underground garage. Check with hotel staff to confirm if your car will fit!
Hotel is located just a 10-15minute walk from Parliament Hill and other sites like the war memorial or toonie tours. We also had dinner at their Tulip restaurant which was nice as well and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant.

Stayed for 3 nights for a family tripwith our 6 and 8 year old. Room was spacious, really liked the kitchenette and table and chairs. Room was extremely clean as well as the whole hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Only downside is the pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable. The shower was beautiful but the water never got hot- it was just barely warm. We enjoyed the pool- it is very nice. Elevators were quick. Parking was very easy to navigate and get in and out. The hot breakfast included is great. Loved that there was a grocery store across the street. Be aware that many of the smaller restaurants in the area are closed on weekends. It was a great stay, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Everything was perfect.
I was super suprised by the continental breakfast buffet, it accommodates alldiets, awide variety. Its not just your normal cereal and toast.. there was options such as; homeade waffles, toppings, chia pudding, freash homeade oatmeal with topping options aswell, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, the list went on and on. Amazing lication, o train right out front as well as Food Basics ( a geocery store) I was on a calorie deficit and I left full, I was very happy with the buffet.
Nice pool with cute little fiuntains amd lounge chairs.
The rooms are so clean and spectacular, the hotel I found to be very pet friendly and family friendly. The customer services were on point. The beds are comfy, lots of accommodation in the suites. I cant wait to go back there.

The suite was very clean and appropriately set up for a family of 4. Location is very convenient, a few minutes walk from Lyon Station and an approx. 15 minutes walk to Parliament. The included buffet breakfast was a hit with the kids, and a great way to start the day. The hotel is located in an area with many government buildings, so it is quiet and away from the more busy nightlife area by Rideau Station.

Had a great time with the Mrs and baby in Ottawa, largely in part thanks to a stress free and wonderful stay at the Hilton suites… couldn’t recommend that hotel more - clean rooms, delicious breakfast and dinner/lunch options (restaurant on site is worth the hype) … plus the location is superb as well, close and central enough to be a stone throw from great sites

Unsure...THE HILTON HOTEL cancelled reservations for 4 nights as a no show first night when stuck in the air en route on a plane. Trying calling hotel when landing in another city to advise. No one answered the phone. When I spoke to the manager the next morning, I learned they had cancelled entire stay, told me my paid room was gone and to contact expedia. They offered absolutely no help on the matter and they were going to keep the entire paid amount when we were proceeding to this HILTON HOTEL!!!

Nous étions 2 adultes et 2 enfants. Une belle place. Le service était bien. Belle chambre avec cuisinette parfait pour préparer vos lunchs. La piscine a BEAUCOUP de chlore mais une bonne température:) stationnement sous terrain directement à l’hôtel. Le déjeuner était bien aussi :) Nous avons aimé notre séjour. Je recommande!

The misleading 'free' tags on the bottled water created a poor checkout experience, as I was later told this only applied to Diamond members despite the clear labeling. After being told by support on 2/25 that this would be waived, I am still waiting to see the refund reflected on my statement. Please follow through on this correction as previously discussed to resolve this billing discrepancy.

Location was very convenient for enjoying the Rideau Canal Skateway, appreciating the beautiful architecture around Parliament, great lunch and dinner options. Kids really appreciated the pool and breakfast, as well as the comfy sofa bed. The bath products were a really nice touch. And Dyson was exceptional at the front desk - full of information, going above and beyond with requests and tips. He made our stay truly wonderful.

We enjoyed our two night stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette had everything we needed.
The breakfast on both days was great and plenty of seating even when it was busy.
We ordered dinner from the on-site restaurant and brought it back to the room. It was prepared quickly and the food was delicious. The only thing I would say about the restaurant is if you want a coffee to go, make it in your room. We should have asked the hotel for an extra coffee pod. We were charged the price of Starbucks and it was a super small coffee. We will start bringing a few K-cup pods with us going forward.

Little things in the room make me give this only 3 stars. Fridge doesn't keep food cold and makes lots of noise, shower drips, little to no soundproofing, door doesn't close automatically so you have to make sure to pull it shut everytime.

We checked into Homewood Suites by Hilton Ottawa Downtown on January 13th after traveling across the country and checked out today, January 20th. We truly could not be more pleased with our stay.

Our room was perfect, and the view from the 14th floor was absolutely stunning. Every single staff member we encountered was exceptional—friendly, warm, helpful, and genuinely eager to make our stay comfortable. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

The daily breakfast that was included was excellent and a wonderful way to start each day.

During our stay, my wife became very ill after eating dinner at a different establishment. The staff at Homewood Suites went above and beyond, helping me identify an emergency department that could properly treat her. Their care, concern, and quick assistance made a stressful situation far easier to manage.

This team surpassed all of our expectations. Their professionalism and kindness made a lasting impression, and we are deeply grateful for the experience we had here. We would not hesitate to stay again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ottawa.

The hotel was ideally situated approximately 10 minutes from Parliament. Staff were excellent and the rooms were spacious as well as the amenities. It will certainly be on our list of places to stay when we return to Ottawa. What sold it for me was the 20 metre pool which I used every day. Just want if you’re ilan avid swimmer ( I would do a couple of kilometres) go first thing in the morning before the kids come down.
