Parking onsite full of massive pot holes. Easy quick check in. Area leaves much to be desired but there is an excellant Iranian restaurant across the street. The hotel hallways and rooml had a strong odour like stale sour cooking.
Bed covers and curtains had stains, carpet looked clean. Bed was comfortable and shower worked well. Large gap in front door at the bottom we had to put our coats up against. Bathroom was pretty run down, walls stained. \"Breakfast included\" was a brown bag with a yogurt, muffin and juice box. Coffee and tea in lobby.

-Great location downtown with free parking and easy walking distances to main attraction.
-Not too expansive considering other options, the free parking and the central location.
-The room are large and well furnished.

Bad:
-The exterior of the hotel is really in a big state of disrepair. It does not feel welcoming and inviting. The parking lot is unclean and with potholes.
-Although not horrible, the cleanliness of the room was not great. Some part of the floor felt unclean and sticky.
-Some people in the area seem a little sketchy. There are a lots of cannabis shops. I think its a poorer neighborhood. I did not felt unsafe though since the hotel is on a main road.
-My room was ok after inspecting it, but I checked the review after arriving and saw some critics about bugs (bedbugs and cockroach). You better watch out for these and take precaution. Don't leave your luggages on the floor or on the furnitures.

Don’t stay at this hotel! The rooms are not cleaned, Evan the garbage is not removed daily. There was a gap between the door and the frame. When I told the desk clerk I was told her could give me a towel to put in front of the door. Not helpful. My credit card was charged an extra $100 for what, I don’t know. I called to complain and just said he sent the number to me to complain then hung up. How could he send a number when he did ask any questions. Stay away from the hotel.

if you badly want to stay downtown, this is not a good option, building and parking are in bad shape, need renovation, looks like people live in there or sort of government help, saw lots of women with young kids, kids sometime crying or screaming early morning which can disturb your sleep. breakfast offer is a joke in a paper bag you have 1 muffin 1 yogurt and 1 juice that's it tea and coffee a on table, pretty much take the bag and go back in your room, no seating room there. inside the room is basic beds were comfortable but the blanket is very old, fridge and microwave works fine , AC is very loud have to put it off.their price is way off, better go somewhere else for better services. the staffs were nice and helpful but the place is ruined down. along Rideau street there are other better hotels. Will not come back here specially at this price.

This is review is based on property condition as it is old area so hotel property is not in good condition , smelly carpets and washroom cant make guests happy But if we talk about staff they are helping and caring and take immediate action for guests problem which is appreciable . We made our check in night still there was guy at front desk he helped us a lot . So there was mix experience we had there .

The place is in a great location, close to the airport, restaurant and other amenities. However, the breakfast option is very bad. 1kid pouch juice, a muffin and a yogurt, coffee/tea everyday same thing. I would hope they have better options.

The ecolodge was well located within easy walking distance of the city center and lots of restaurants. The room was very spacious but a bit tired. We had a great time and the free parking was really useful. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Very good location so we were able to walk to Parliament Hill without bringing the car (22 min walk one way). There was free parking in the inner courtyard. Very near restaurants and shops along Rideau Street.The room was clean with toiletries provided, the queen beds were comfy and there was a microwave oven and a small fridge for heating & storing food. However, we had to ask for more towels at check-in since there were only 2 sets in the room for our party of 4. These were brought by housekeeping immediately. Breakfast was bagged (yogourt, juice box, muffin) with coffee or tea for pick-up at reception. Hotel Staff very polite and helpful. There was no internet or maybe we forgot to ask for it. The walls were not so soundproofed so we could hear voices from the other room(s) if the volume were really loud. It was a very basic hotel; good for just sleeping in. We were given additional bagged breakfast for snacks on our early drive back to Toronto.

It is a great value for a hotel in the middle of downtown. It is clean, the staff is friendly, amenities are available, many restaurants steps away, convenience stores and groceries nearby. The plus value for this hotel is the free parking.

Many reviews mentioned bedbugs, which we fortunately did not experience. There seems to be long term customers staying here but that does not bother us. We have a room upstairs, facing the parking lot, which is quiet. The packed breakfast is ok — still need to supplement with something else. The unhoused are indeed around the area: coming from downtown Toronto it is not something too surprising

The hotel has a 90s motel vibe which is endearing, although the furnishings may need a revamp. It is a good no frills hotel overall.

The walls are not at all sound proof. We could here our neighbours talking at a normal volume in the next room and we got to listen to their baby cry all night long too (not their fault. That's what babes do sometimes).
To top things off...There was no breakfast on Sunday morning as advertised.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. My sister and I both felt the same way. I apologized to her because I was the one that booked it. We were afraid of bed bugs because of the condition of the bedding. We couldn’t wait to leave in the morning to drive to Quebec where we’re spend 5 nights in a fantastic hotel. I travel a lot within and outside Canada. Everyone says I am an easygoing person but, this hotel should be closed. I have booked many holidays with Expedia without a bad experience.

When i booked this room days ago i called to ensure i could pay at the property. My boyfriend would be putting it on his credit card. The morning of the reservation I recieved a voicemail stating that my card.has been declined and if I didnt pay by 130PM (2 hours before checkin) my reservation would be cancelled. So I called again explained the situation and i was advised that I was required to pay by credit card while on the call, and my boyfriend wasnt here yet so.after telling this again i finally gave upandn told them to cancel the booking. We ended up going to another hotel and having an amazing time.

We had our Harley's parked against the wall visible to the front desk staff.... we walked to Byward market for dinner.... it was a great walk... safe and lots of restaurants to choose from. I woukd stay here again.

Floor in the room was extremely dirty. Mirror had palms prints right in the middle. Air conditioner was filthy and poured out bad smelling air. the sink was clogged. Luckily, there are 2 sinks in the room.
