The staff who checked me in was professional and amazing. She gave us a beautiful room with a view to celebrate my parent's anniversary. She made sure to make us feel comfortable and special. The room was clean and spacious. The wifi was speedy with no issues. The lamp lights did not turn on...perhaps the light bulbs were out? We had a wonderful stay and hope to return. Thank you!

Smell of mould everywhere. In my room it was impossible to breathe or sleep. The hotel offered no help at first but after more complaints they sent an air purifying machine. It did not remove the smell entirely but it eased it some so I could rest after one sleepless night. They were renovating on our floor (18th) which we were not warned in advance about. It was impossible to rest during the day as the noise was constant. The hotel offered no compensation for all this inconvenience. We had 2 rooms, a party of 3

I was there just two nights. I remember the room being cleaner in the past. Someone dropped lots of popcorn under the pull out couch. I like the shampoo and conditioner. Rooms are quiet. I DO NOT LIKE THE BUMBS AND DRUGS right outside the Hotel. The stench of urine gagged me! Ottawa was always my favorite City. Not anymore!! Rideau street is a *^+* hole. Love by Ward market but it’s gross getting there. CLEAN IT UP OTTAWA!!! Thank goodness the elevators are designed safe. Love that!! Room was spacious

They were doing renovation in the morning during one of our stay, no warning, no nothing. It is unacceptable and inconsiderate on our last day. Staff is friendly, but the room is a little older than most modern hotel.

But my trip got ruined as I didn't get a good sleep on the last day.

The room still has carpeting. Would much prefer laminate/ wood flooring.
Items left behind from previous occupants.
The bedding and mattress was not as luxurious as the Westin once had.
They didn’t come to freshen the room until 4pm. At that point we declined.

I will admit that my expectations were mediocre for this hotel, and they continually surprised me. Every single staff member I interacted with was so professional and genuinely helpful. You can tell there’s a strong management presence on the ground floor. Very customer service oriented. The hotel is refreshed and clean. It’s got a Starbucks in the lobby and the little restaurant they have there had a fantastic, like really really really fantastic buffet. I also had another meal there and it was also really actually good. And wasn’t outrageously expensive either. Parking was also easy and accommodating. I use the pool facility as well and it was incredibly clean. Same with the gym. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming through town.

Excellent customer service. We were stuck in Ottawa for an extra day due to an ice storm. I was so worried that we wouldn't be able to book the room for an additional day. We were so lucky and staff were super kind and accommodating. I love that CF Rideau Centre is connected to the hotel. We spent a great day shopping!

The room was just fine, nothing overly impressive. I noticed lots of stray hairs around our room, and the sitting chairs were filthy. Toilet was also an issue as it wouldn't fully flush.

Keep in mind this is a family-friendly hotel which means the pool is constantly occupied by children. If you are looking for a quiet experience enjoying the pool/hot tub, I would suggest you book something else.

As soon as you walk in you feel you are in an upscale hotel. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating.

The hotel is easy to navigate. We particularly loved, the pool, the hot tub, the sauna room.

There is also inside access to the Rideau Mall.

Our room had a beautiful view of Parliament which was a really great view as the sun was setting.
We will be back for sure.

For the price. The room was very small and needed to be renovated. I stayed in this hotel previously 23 years ago and the room looked exactly the same.

The parking was terrible, it took us over an hour to find parking in the parking garage.

Hotel was great and staff was excellent. Unfortunately it’s attached to the Redeau Centre which currently is overrun with drug addicts. Very uncomfortable to be there with my young children. Very sad for the hotel that the city has let this happen.

Staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Before our departure, the pool was closed for cleaning, which understandably disappointed our children. Noticing they were upset, one staff member stepped in, arranged a late checkout, and personally delivered cookies and milk to our room. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but I am deeply grateful for his kindness - he truly made our visit extra special.

Our stay at the Westin was unfortunately, okay at best. The property was undergoing renovations at the time, which I am hopeful were in the rooms, as our room was very outdated and run-down. The wallpaper was bubbling everywhere, baseboards off the walls, the couch was very small, the bathroom was very difficult to use - it was on old wood top that was cracked and had no space. There was also a lot of issues with the water pipes that led to constant noise in our unit (we were compensated some Marriott points for the noise). However overall at over 450$/night I was incredibly underwhelmed and did not meet our expectations at all. It felt a bit like “student housing” the unit was so run down which is completely unacceptable for the price. The photos of the unit online were nothing like the unit we got. The staff however were lovely and attentive.

This was my second time visit to westin Ottawa and i didn’t like it much. House keeping always left behind bedding and garbage.
Some of the staff members at breakfast seemed to be doing you a favour by serving you.
I had to pay extra for the room but last time there was no extra charges.
Overall i didn’t like it much and would explore more options in my next visit to Ottawa

We were first put into an accessible jr suite room that had a view of some roof. I asked for a better room with a view and had to take a downgrade for it. I wasn’t impressed. The bed had quite a dip. The furnishing was scanty. The tv didn’t work. There were dings in the furniture and doors. It was okay but not what I expected from a hotel with a great reputation. I’d give the hotel maybe 3.5 star rating. The room service was good but ridiculously expensive. I’ll stay elsewhere next time I’m in YOW.

We love staying at the Westin Ottawa. This was again a great stay however our room was quite loud all night so unfortunately did not get a very good sleep.
The valet parking and check-in were quick and easy! I had poached eggs on avocado toast for breakfast at their restaurant which was 10/10!!
