Loved this hotel

Lovely hotel, very clean, staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was a really good size with the surprise of a kitchenette in there too which was very handy for us. Lovely little welcome pack which was replenished each day. Bed was comfortable and although the hotel is on a main road it was quiet and we slept so well. Breakfast was nice (continental) but we would have liked a cooked breakfast, on saying that though there was plenty to eat. Also we did not find out the bar was not open either but again we are not big drinkers but it would have been nice to have a night cap or 2 before bed. All in all we absolutely loved staying here and would have no hesitation in staying again

A comfortable stay. Room had a kitchenette which was useful as we could just take our own food. Bed was a little hard for my comfort and parking is open, public parking in an area of shops but was fine. Busy main road noise. But hotel was calm and comfortable in general. We only used the room and no other services.

Perfect for a new father

I needed the hotel for a few nights while my partner and new born child were in hospital. The hotel was all the comforts of home, including a kitchen meaning I could do a proper shop and store my food in the room fridge and cook in the microwave, meaning it was one less worry for myself when I had other worries.

For the price this hotel itself was fine - clean, friendly reception staff and the buffet breakfast was passable. However I was really worried leaving my car here - the \"shopping centre\" car park which I assume most people will use had warninbg signs about leaving your vehicle and contents at own risk and equally the streets round about this felt run down and you either had to park behind some industrial units or in front of run down blocks of flats. I genuinely woke up a couple of times during the night and thought about the car - and it's not even that great a car!

Great hotel close to ARI

We were visiting a relative in ARI so this hotel was very close. We walked down twice to the hospital. A busy road so be careful. Hotel was perfect for our needs, friendly staff, warm room with complimentary water, crisps and biscuits along with coffee and tea. Breakfast was continental and more than adequate at a price of less than £5 each. The 2 cups of coffee would have been that alone. There was fresh fruit, juices, yogurt, cereal and cereal bars, croissant and toast, more than enough for us. Can’t understand the bad reviews especially at the amazing price we paid. We worried about the parking behind the hotel at the shops but were assured they have never had problems. Could be a problem if busy and you may struggle to find a space. We will definitely book here again if we return to ARI in the future.

Its cheap for a reason,the car park shared with a small shopping centre has a prominent signs saying cars are parked at owners risk hinting at it happens often.The access to the hotel from the car park is through a tunnel with graffiti which i would consider unsafe for any female in the dark ,inside the hotel our room 200 the window would not shut properly and when i looked up the window was hanging off the frame and was right beside the bed could have fallen in and injured one of us at night ,we were given another room in which the push button for the loo was slack but otherwise it was fine we persevered as we were only staying one night ,The restaurant was closed despite saying om hotels .com it has a restaurant so we went to McDonalds ,due to reading another review we gave continental breakfast a miss and went to Morrisons ,probably cheaper as well.Place is cheap for a reason and i won't be back

We booked this hotel as we wanted a last minute cheap night away. I booked this hotel as it was in the city centre. Which it wasn't, this is Hotels.com error. However this still cost us a fortune in taxi's as it is several miles away.

Then on arrival we discovered the car park is a grotty car park used by local shops and takeaways. I was very uneasy leaving my car there. We also paid an extra £9 for breakfast which was a bit of toast and butter!!!!

The room it's self was exactly what I expected for the money but it was clean. Reception staff were nice and welcoming.

The rooms are a good size and generally clean but could be updated. We were unlucky and stayed whilst the hotel was hosting a Christmas Party, the walls in my room were literally vibrating until 01.00 so not the best. I was also surprised to find that breakfast was a grab bag - I was told due to not having sufficient staff - we were overcharged for breakfast but hotel did issue a partial refund but £3.50 for a grab bag is excessive and I hadn't noticed this whilst booking

I have to admit it - I was pleasantly surprised.

With the location being in a suburb but very near the Royal infirmary - id recommend staying here regardless, and its only a short distance to Aberdeen's centre.

Check in was easy and smooth. I was given a room on the 2nd floor - be mindful that the lift goes up to 1st floor but you need to wall up a flight of stairs.

The room was spacious and clean. The fridge is stocked with milk and two bottles of water, and there is a kettle supplied - along with a basket of complimentary treats (biscuits and crisps) which I thought was a lovely touch.

Wifi is free with a great connection.

The room had plenty sockets but unfortunately none near my bed, to charge my phones or plug in laptop.

Staff were friendly, always willing to help and my room was cleaned daily.

I usually stay central when In Aberdeen. But I needeed to be close to the hospitals- id definitely stay here again.

It is very near a premier inn. But this is tonnes better than what they provide.

There are loads of shops, takeaways and parks nearby, infact most of them are below the hotel.

You get what you pay for but expected that with the price. Staff friendly enough, rooms hotel in need of some upgrading but clean. The only thing I didn't like was the bed, sort of soft and springy and the pillows were also really soft not giving enough support. If the bed was better I would of stayed again.

A bit out of town, right on a busy main road so bit noisy. Tired but clean. Fridge in room was good touch but my search criteria was parking and breakfast both of which were poor. Parking is in a shopping complex round the back where there are takeaways and a betting shop. Did not feel that safe. Have to walk through a underpass which was pretty grim to get to the front of the hotel. Messy area. Breakfast was a grab and go bag which was not what we expected so were disappointed. Room not re-stocked on second night so had no coffee or milk and only dirty mugs and towels in the room. No coffee or other drinks at breakfast either. To be fair it was cheap but not really cheerful so depending on your reason for staying it might suit. Plenty of space for working if need be but I think we might have been in one of the \"suite\" rooms described on other reviews so be aware of that.

Paid room, no available room on arrival, no refund

I had an emergency so booked a room online. I arrived at the hotel, but the hotel is called me as I was about to get out the taxi. They proceed to tell me that the hotel is over booked and they have no rooms available. Yet they had already taken the payment from me. So now I'm left outside the hotel which I've paid for but they have no room for me, i had just used the last of my money on the taxi fare to get there. This was an emergency and I am completely shocked at the lack of support avaliable from the hotel.

Not the \"BEST\" stay for \"SURE\"!

Positive: Cheap & very clean

HOWEVER, I paid extra for a suite, which included a \"kitchenette\", but was only a kettle and mini fridge under TV. A large double at best.

Bed SO uncomfortable, we both woke the next day with back and neck pain at 5am, not helped by the industrial strength snoring coming through the thin walls from next door.

Was told on arrival that the restaurant was closed, so \"Breakfast\" was a paper bag affair INCLUDING a warm yoghurt!

Staff not masked, even though there are signs everywhere asking everyone to wear face coverings (still mandatory in Scotland at time of stay)

Car parking is free and shared with small shopping centre, didn't feel very secure.

We have stayed in many more hotels/B&Bs in Aberdeen for similar or less money that were much better than this one, we should have gone back to one of those!

Booked a 3 night stay at best western. Room was small but adequate. The only faults with the room were it only had 1 electrical socket & you had to boil kettle on floor. When I asked at reception about only having 1 electrical socket they said the only thing they could do was give me an extension cable with extra sockets. A bit disappointed but didn’t spoil our stay.

Gave us a hard time about whether or not we were allowed to travel to their area. I applaud and encourage hotels making checks, but don't berate a small business (with the appropriate UK licensing) and insist on a letter from the employer if we are self-employed.

The man who checked us in was very nice, but gave the impression that he was making an exception for us.

The room was okay - not cleaned to a basic level of cleanliness that i would have expected, especially during CoVid. How long was the dead fly in the freezer? The crumbs in the picnic basket? A long, curly hair on the clean hand towel - not mine.

Great too have a microwave and tiny kitchen area in our room; we were hungry and bought food on the basis of being able to eat in the room. If the room is for 2 people, you'd expect to find two of each utensil - but no (see picture). Also not very clean.

No extra roll of toilet paper - and very little left on the roll. Hand-washing soap - hardly anything left in the bottle (not good during a pandemic).

We had a suite with twin beds and a kitchenette. It was ideal for us. (We had dropped our daughter off at uni and had an overnight stay before returning home.) I am a light sleeper so was initially concerned about the outside traffic, however it was quiet at nighttime and I had a good sleep. The exterior of the building isn’t great, but the interior is pleasant and the welcome by the staff was lovely. We would consider staying again.

Although a Budget Hotel The room was clean and service very helpful and friendly. Restaurant was fine and Breakfast excellent value Bus stop just outside hotel for journey in to town or along to Curl Aberdeen Parking in communal car park behind hotel at small shopping mall so access a wee bit difficult but staff would help if necessary.
. Would definitely stay there again.

Outside should definitely be painted again, but inside was great. Room and bathroom were spacious and complementary snack tray was great after a long flight. Door could have more sound proofing and staff could smile a bit more but overall my stay was good and I would stay again.

I was here on business and it was convenient, I liked the microwave in the room and it was quiet as i was in room 307 which is on the end of the corridor.

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom huge. Tea, coffee, biscuits, crisps. Fresh orange and apple juice, milk and kitkats in fridge! Staff friendly and helpful. Food was nice...and cheap. Hotel not in a particularly nice area, but no problems. Will definitely stay again. Excellent value for money.

Good: Double room I booked came with a kitchen sink, fridge, and microwave. May just have got lucky. Lots of complimentary goodies.
Not so good: TV a little tempermental, and couldn't get hot water from the bathroom sink which was also rather small.

Pleasant stay

Staff really helpful. Good nights sleep. The hamper containing free snacks and bottled water was a lovely touch. Would stay again.
