Stunning hotel with amazing views. The rooms are built into the cliff side and are very spacious and cool. Comfortable bed and furnishings. Great shower. The manager Anna was incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and served on your balcony. Perfect hotel to enjoy Oia.

Our stay at Marizan Caves was simply wonderful from beginning to end.

The location is truly exceptional—situated at the very tip of Oia, offering some of the most breathtaking views in Santorini. Watching the famous sunset from the comfort of our room each evening was an unforgettable experience and worth every moment.

The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and impeccably maintained, but what really made our stay special was the outstanding hospitality. Every member of the team was warm, professional, and genuinely eager to help. A special thank you to Anna at reception, who went above and beyond in assisting us with tours, transfers, and recommendations throughout our stay. Her kindness and efficiency made everything seamless and stress-free.

The food was another highlight. We enjoyed several meals at the hotel and, quite honestly, they were better than many of the restaurants we tried on the island. The quality was excellent and the pricing very fair, making it an easy choice to dine in and enjoy the spectacular view.

Marizan Caves delivered everything we hoped for in Santorini—stunning views, exceptional service, delicious food, and a truly memorable experience. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special stay in Oia.

The hot tub with an amazing view was definitely a great feature.

Anna the lady at reception was extremely helpful, helped us book amazing restaurants and cruise.

Location was convenient too, a short walk to most attractions in the village.

Anna, the concierge was incredible! So accommodating and had a smile always. She helped us with recommendations for food and transportation needs. She was always available by WhatsApp and responded quickly. She was able to book us rates on excursions with her connections.
Property was so clean and maintained, views were like we had never seen from the caldera edge.
Property is located in an area that is away from the crowds but easy to get to all the iconic photo areas.
Breakfast in the room was so nice, it was too cool to sit outside unfortunately for a morning meal.
Highly recommend staying here, you won’t be disappointed.

Property is good and offers unique Santorini experience of staying. Please schedule hotel pick up as it is not easy to find the hotel entrance as you need walk for ~3+ minutes from the parking lot. Easier to call them and arrange a pick up thru the hotel from the airport or cruise (if you are coming via cruise). Break fast options are decent. View is beautiful from the hotel. Staff are very good and customer friendly.

Wonderful stay! Staffs were very nice and help arrange cruises and transportation for us. The hotel was beautiful with the best sunset view. We didn’t need to fight with the crowd at Nicholas castle. It’s extra special with good breakfast delivered to our balcony and private jacuzzi. Highly recommend if you’d like the full caldera experience with some steps.

Marizan Caves is top end accommodation. Its unique style and architecture is perfectly suited to Santorini.
Must note that it is on the side od a cliff and there are steep stairs, so if you have recently had hip surgery wait 6 months before you visit.
Staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. Breakfast was sensational and delivered to your room.

Come here in November is a hidden gem

The breakfast is amazing to kick off the day, while the warm bath outdoor is absolutely a smoothing way to end up the day. This location is a bit away from the centre shopping area of Oia to guarantee your maximum privacy and quiet environment. We came in November the low season, absolutely a blissing to stay here and enjoy.

I booked Marizan Caves for the last 2 nights of our 3 week trip. I wanted something special to end the trip. Marizan was special! Absolutely beautiful location and views. Room was awesome inside and out. We were surprised to have a separate room from our kids in #3. I asked if we would be able to see the sunset from our room before I booked and I was told because of the time of year it would not be visible from our room. At sunset we went up one flight of stairs to the top level common seating area and we were the only ones there. We were the last people looking at the sunset...nobody in front of us and thousands behind us. It was amazing! The breakfast was fantastic, the plunge pool was really great. This place was what dreams are made of!

Our stay was fantastic! The room we stayed in was the (private cave house). It is located on the bottom level of the property and we chose it for privacy and the views. We were not disappointed. The balcony was huge and I think it has to be one of the best places to watch sunsets on the island. This room and staff are worth the money. Service was great from start to finish. Very helpful, informative, and accommodating. I cannot say enough positives, the trip was amazing.

Cold hot tub

Really cool cave room. Great view! Breakfast every morning delivered was a nice touch although food was only fair. I asked for a room with the fewest steps and told them it was my 70th birthday. Never an acknowledgment of my birthday and room was 77 STEPS down. Hot tub temperature can’t be changed and it’s like warm at best. Not enjoyable at all.

Our cave at Marizan Caves and Villas was amazing. I felt like I was in a dream. The cave was bright, clean, well decorated, had a beautiful patio with a hot tub, and the view was breath-taking. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Fay who worked in reception was so nice and gave us a great run down on the island when we arrived. We asked about a private boat trip and booked with Miltos and mybluecruises on his wonderful speedboat. Miltos was professional, kind and a great host, he was very knowledgeable about Santorini, the volcano/geology and surrounding sea. The sunset from the boat was magical. I had a wonderful holiday at Marizan caves and can't wait to visit again!

Whoever designed this property is a genius. They maximized the limited space in Santorini for utility, comfort, privacy and enjoyment. The staff was extremely helpful and always with a smile and quick response (just txt them what you want on WhatsApp and you will get it). We also liked the location as it is at the northern end of Oia, 4 minutes walking from Main Street which is overrun by daily cruise visitors. Our family will definitely visit Santorini again and stay at Marizan.

Where do I even begin, this is the best location in Oia, the hotel arranged pick up from airport. Longi one of the staff member was already at the parking ready to take our bags down to the hotel very well organized.

Once at the reception we were greeted by Zanet, since it was our first time in Santorini, Zanet provided quality information and took the time to walk through all the hot spots, restaurants and more detailed information about the island, she was very knowledgeable and was always there to answer our questions whenever we needed anything.

The room was super clean the staff are very helpful and made us feel at home , our romantic cave had the best view of the island. The view from the hot tub was superb. The view of the sunset was breathtaking and the best we experienced, everyone at the island comes to this location hours ahead and form a queue to view the sunset, however we were privileged to have this right from our hotel roof top.

The hotel also arranged a wonderful day trip on a catamaran and also managed to get a Buggy rented right at the hotel.

This is one of our best experience and we will be definitely back. Thanks to everyone at Marizan for making our holiday so special and spoiling us with your complimentary home made wine every evening during sunset. Would highly recommend this place for location, cleanliness and wonderful staff.

Fabulous view and service

We enjoy the stay very much. The suite (with sea view) is roomy. We particularly enjoyed the terrace where we had our breakfast (room service) and the sea view was fantastic. The manger Konstantinos was very friendly and all the staff there were very nice as well. The hotel has the best view of sunset. Bed was comfortable. We cannot fault it in any way.

Hidden gem in Santorini.

The hotel was a little hard to find upon arrival but check in was a breeze. Costas was a wonderful host and was able to arrange a vehicle during the duration of our stay. His restaurant recommendations were on point. Highly suggest Elinikon around the corner of the hotel. The room was super clean with a comfortable bed and living space. Breakfast on your terrace every morning was delightful. Last but certainly not least the views from the hotel are incredible. This truly is the hidden gem of Santorini. Would stay here again in a heart beat and would highly recommend it to anyone considering.

The most incredible hotel I’ve stayed at in my life so far. The views of the sunset from my private terrace were unparalleled and it takes less than 5 minutes to walk into town. The cave bathroom was a bonus. Thank you Marios and the staff at Marizan for going above and beyond to make my little solo honeymoon so special! Will be back for my actual honeymoon one day lol!

Loved our stay here. It is quiet, clean, and they are very friendly and accomodating. We chosse this spot as it has a fantastic view of the sunset. This way we had a private view every night instead of standing with the crowds at the castle ruins or in the walkways.

Could not recommend this property highly enough! Marios, the owner, went out of his way to make sure my sister and I had the best time. The property is absolutely gorgeous! It is a perfect location for watching the sunset from your private mini pool or the shared hot tub. Breakfast is served to your room at time of your choosing. It was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in! It’s a must stay in Oia!

Perfect in every way.

My best friend and I had the most wonderful time in Oia largely due to our stay in Marizan Caves & Villas! We could not believe our eyes when we were shown around... the views were more spectacular than I imagined!

The best part was the view right from our balcony... I would say it is one of the best views on the island. People were crowded at the castle and along the sides of the wall right outside of the property waiting for the sunset each night, while my friend and I just sat on the lovely outdoor sofas and privately watched the sunset with no obstructions or view of other people in front of us. It was wonderful to enjoy a very well prepared breakfast right from our balcony each morning as well.

The owners and staff at this location were also so supportive and genuinely kind. They made every effort to make our vacation perfect. I would highly recommend staying here... I will be definitely back someday! :)

Esta hotel o caves como ellos le llamas esta super bien situada , pero la amabilidad de sus propietarios es inmensurable, Dios que personas tan y tan , todo limpio , todo a tiempo , te ayudan con todo , son super atentos , te ayudan con los tour , son casi perfectos, y que decir de la locación? El Sunset se ve súper perfecto no hay que caminar a ninguna oarte , todo es perfecto desde Maritzan caves , si regreso sin duda alguna me opedaria otra vez ahi ! Lo adore!

LOVED OUR STAY HERE! This place has the best sunset spot in the whole island. It is the closest to the sunset; and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Definitely wish we could have stayed here for longer! The views are seriously phenomenal!

Perfect location, beautiful rooms, sweetest staff

This property is amazing - I don't have one negative thing to say. The staff was SO kind and went above and beyond to welcome and accommodate me. I ended up being solo for this trip and am so grateful for all of their help. The room was spacious and spotless, the balcony was beautiful, and the location was perfect. Will definitely stay here again on a future trip to Santorini. Already looking forward to bringing friends/family here!

This is a beautiful spot. The views from your balcony are spectacular. The topping on the cake is breakfast is served to you in your room and you choose what you want for breakfast. Your room is cleaned twice a day! I have been spoiled!

Wonderful Views, Location, and Experience!

The Hotel was a terrific experience. The Owner's nephew was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. You can't beat the location at the tip of Oia, Santorini. This is where you want to be for every amazing sunset. All of the island is behind us looking at where we were enjoying wine from either our rooms or by the hot tub at the end of the day. Walking distance to the shops, restaurants, and more. The rooms are like caves in the side of the hill. You won't find this in California.

Great vacation spot!

Excellent staff, great room, beautiful views. This was our first trip to Santorini and it couldn't have been better. The accommodations at the villa and the easy access to Ammoudi Bay were a plus. I would highly recommend this resort to any first time(or, veteran) visitors of Santorini.

Fantastic choice for your Santorini vacation!

The Marizan Caves Hotel is magic! This place is straight out of a dream! I could not imagine a more beautiful spot but more than that the hosts and friendly staff make your stay all the more special.

If seeing the famous Santorini sunset is high on your list, you literally could do no better than Marizan- its location is second to none for sunset.

Rooms are spacious, super clean, charming, great wifi and cold AC!

Amazing!

Marizan exceeded our expectations! The villas were impeccably clean and well kept. Breakfast was very good and there were various options and times for them to drop it off. The location is awesome, sunsets are beautiful and you do not have to deal with the crowds leaving Oia. During the day, when it is less crowded in town, there are a bunch of shops to explore.

Marizans location and cleanliness could only be topped by their amazing staff. The owners were so accommodating - from scheduling picks ups/drop offs to recommending places to eat, places to visit and anything else you could imagine. The staff at Marizan was also top notch. It seemed that they were always running around, cleaning or checking in to see if we needed anything.


I cannot describe how awesome Marizan was - I would highly recommend it to anyone staying on Santorini.
