Had to go downstairs 3 times because my card key wasn’t working and they ended up just putting me in a different room. There was also no remote in our room for the TV, other than that it was a decent stay.

The Real Inn Tijuana is well-located near a grocery store, OXXO store, and several restaurants - walking distance from “Taco Alley” and the restaurant visited by the late Anthony Bourdain: Las Ahumaderas.
When we checked in our friends and we were first given rooms that were not yet cleaned. After some time and a few phone calls by the front desk we were finally given cleaned rooms.
The beds were comfortable and the a/c adequate. The shower head dripped water unless the lever was firmly tightened and the sealant around the shower enclosure leaked water onto the floor. The room definitely could use a refresh; one of the outlet covers came away from the wall when I unplugged my phone charger. The toilet seat was also quite loose/not secured onto the toilet.
Overall however the room was very clean; the housekeeping staff did a fine job in that aspect.
The front desk personnel were friendly, competent, and helpful.

I have always stayed here it’s safe and everyone is very welcoming. My friend left her wallet behind we didn’t realize until hours later and they held it with everything in it. The only down side in this trip was that they no longer provide face towels only bathing.

Necesitan arreglar las coladeras de la regadera en el hotel porque el agua se tapa muy fácil y no es higiénico. También se necesita un estacionamiento más grande, y no nos subieron del estacionamiento era gratis en el Lobby pagamos en kiosk porque se reservó con expedía. Cuando idioma check in no nos dijieron nada de eso. Además, necesitan arreglar ciertas cosas que ya no sirven bien están viejas, una remodelación también estaría bien.

We had a great stay at Real Inn Tijuana! Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff, including the housekeeping team, were always friendly and helpful.
The rooms were clean and well maintained. Housekeeping cleaned our room daily and restocked all hygiene products every day. They also provided two complimentary bottles of water, which really came in clutch when we needed them.
The hotel's location was very convenient, with a local grocery store, shopping malls, and plenty of great food options nearby. A huge highlight was Tacos El Plátano Jr., located just a block away—we loved it so much we ate there almost every day!
Transportation was easy as well. Cabs regularly stopped right in front of the hotel or just a block away, making it simple to get around. It was also a quick and inexpensive cab ride to Revolution Avenue.
The hotel has a bar on-site, which was a nice bonus. We also met some really cool people during our stay, including a boxer and members of the Charros de Jalisco baseball team.
We didn't try the breakfast ourselves, although it seemed popular with many other guests, so I can't personally comment on it.
Overall, Real Inn Tijuana provided a comfortable, clean, and convenient stay, and we would definitely consider staying here again.

I travel frequently, and this was the first time I’ve ever checked into a hotel and found the door to my room left wide open. I arrived around 8:00 PM, and when I called the front desk, I was told that housekeeping sometimes leaves the door open after cleaning the room. I was honestly shocked by that response. Has anyone else experienced this?

Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. The bathroom had no towels, so I had to call the front desk again and wait for them to be delivered.

When you arrive at a hotel—especially after a long day of traveling—you expect your room to be secure, clean, and fully prepared so you can relax and rest immediately. Leaving a guest room open and not providing basic necessities like towels falls well below those expectations.

The customer service is not the best. Specially the male receptionist. You have to wait forever for assistant specially if you need to leave the hotel and you need the parking receipt validated. Also they only give you 2 towels and if you need more you need to call them 5 times before they actually show up. This may be the last time me and my family stay here.

So grateful that we chose the hotel close to where our son was having his dental procedure. They validated parking for our stay and were close to shopping and food. The wifi was great, since we planned this trip the day before his emergency procedure, it was convenient and we were able to rest and recover in a nice, cool room.

I wish we had a fridge and a microwave, but it's ok. The room had an entire side that wasn't used. It could've fit a table, or a couch or desk. It was just empty.

Still grateful for this hotel being so close to the border and close to where we needed to be. Would stay here again.

I would not recommend staying at Real Inn Tijuana. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience from start to finish.

The hotel felt extremely outdated, run down, and had an unpleasant smell throughout. The rooms did not match the photos shown online, which was misleading. The beds were very uncomfortable, and overall cleanliness was a major concern—there were issues with dirty conditions, including mold in the bathroom and on the floors.

The staff was also not welcoming or helpful, which made the experience even worse. Customer service goes a long way, and that was clearly lacking here.

The only positive was that there is a Starbucks right outside the hotel, which was convenient.

Overall, this stay did not meet even basic expectations. There are many better options in Tijuana for the price. I would not stay here again and would strongly advise other travelers to look elsewhere.

The room had very little privacy. The walls and doors seemed to be poor quality because you could clearly hear conversations and noise from the other rooms. It made it difficult to rest comfortably and feel relaxed during the stay.
