I arrived at the hotel on December 27th at 8:30 PM, but unfortunately, there was no one available to assist me with check-in. I attempted to reach out by email and called the emergency number, but I did not receive any help.

I waited at the property until 11:30 PM, but after no response or assistance, I had no choice but to find and rent another hotel for the night. This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience, and I feel as though I have lost my money.

I kindly request a full refund for my reservation as I was unable to access the room I had paid for. I trust that you will address this matter promptly, and I look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Small musty rooms without AC. Unsafe especially for women and children. No staff available after 6pm. No instructions to late checking guest after 6pm, not checking in person, no way to find room or key...I was lucky to have a staying guest help me to access to hotel lock box to get room numbers and keys.

When we arrived there was no one at the desk and we were told that i should have gotten a code for this self service check in. There was no AC and the room was too hot to sleep. We ended up getting another room somewhere else. The overall status of the hotel was disorganized and dirty. There were food takout boxes in the lobby when we checked in and then 5 hours later the same food stuff was sitting out.

Where to begin.. Paper behing desk says that they return at 4p.m... i arrive at 4:10. Called the number that is on the paper and who i assumed was the manager said he be down in a min.. about 10 min later i get a beep on phone that explained you had to put get an envelope from a safe.. and there was a code in email.. So i looked as its on the wall.. Code worked but no envelope with my name on it.. As i am in process of closing it manager and a woman carrying a little dog shows up.. They asked whatbi was doing and i told them i had jist gotten the email with code and was checking.. He asked if i was one who just called him? I said yeah about minutes ago or so.. but got email and checked it..
He then becomes rude and smartellic...Saying well why did you call me if you know how to run this place and do everything \"Smart American\" Duringnall this the woman behind desk was kissingnthenfeet of her little dog and the whole situation was just odd.. At this point i should of ran out and found another place.. But i had already paid through Expedia and was just tired and ready to eat and sleep..After finally getting keys to room i went to check it out.. Room was on 3rd floor shortly after getting off elevator i nearly stepped in dog poop.. Room was actually clean.. Bathroom not as much.. I pit my bags in and then went out to eat.. 2 hours later when i came back the dog poop still there.. The check out is a drop box for key.. When i left early that morning the dog poop still there..

Cozy Well Priced Hotel

I booked this hotel very late and chose it because it was the least expensive. It turned out to be an excellent bargain and I can’t believe I got such a decent room for the price on such short notice. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and charming!

Good hotel bad location

The hotel is much cleaner and better than the others in the BE-Housing chain, but its a long way from the city centre on a very long road and so very difficult to find. You need a car to stay at the hotel unless you plan to stay in the locality.

Easy check-in and check-out, parking was quite busy and we were lucky to get a space. Would highly recommend stopping for dinner at L'arlecchino Italian restaurant roughly 20 minutes walk up the road.

I chose it only because I needed to stay in the proxity of another hotel which was fully booked. No service, Only 6 hours reception per day or so, breakfast had to be booked the night before, not possible to borrow iron, no minibar and no where to buy just a bottle of water. Don't expect to walk find an open office on the weekend. You'll need to read a separate email sent by the hotel for instructions, once you get inside, you'll need to find the safe, find your key (along with all of the other keys to the other rooms), and let yourself in, it's a strange setup.

Convenient Hotel for touring Waterloo Sites

The hotel is fine for one night though my wife was concerned that it is advertised as a sheltered housing establishment south of Brussels. The room was adequate but the downside was the banging of doors late at night despite there being a noise curfew at 10pm; this woke us both a number of times. Breakfast is quite an expensive extra at £10 each and cheaper to get coffee and a croissant in Carrefore at Mont St. Jean about ten minutes away. The plus side was the self service kitchen where you can cook your own ready meals and prepare your own evening meal if need be but this is shared with residents and other guests so timing is essential. Check out was by 10am which is fine for travelers but some might find this too early. Any deviations from the hotel rules usually results in extra fees to be paid, typical Belgian money grabbing i fear.

Two nights at the Auberge Residence Brussels South

The apart hotel is actually to the south of Brussels in St. Genesius-Rode, which is just to the north of Waterloo. It was fine, but we arrived on a Monday night and the restaurant was closed. We didn't feel like going out anymore as it was pouring with rain and we couldn't see any other restaurants that were close by. Luckily, we had some bread, cheese and chocolate over from our self catering holiday so we picniced on that in our hotel room. We booked a basic room, which was OK, but if we stay there again we'll go for a more upmarket room, where you get a full sized fridge and a plusher room.

Difficult to find the location

This hotel itself was fairly good but it was very difficult to find. Although my navigator was not up to date, I found there is another hotel with the same address; the same road number, the same house number, and even the same postal code. And I found this hotel is located in a different village. This fact was not warned beforehand by the hotel. And there was no response to my call and e-mail except an pre-recorded voice, which I don't know is because it was Saturday night. Due to this, I and my family barely checked in far after midnight.

The location of this hotel is good, fairly easy to find and quiet. Check-in was a bit of a fiasco as the reception is only manned for a short amount of time each day. We were told in advance how to get our key from a safe in the lobby, however, when we arrived the safe wasn't locked and was empty. There was a phone number there to call the person in charge but no phone. If you're travelling from outside Brussels, this is an issue as not everyone has the ability to make international calls from their cellphones. Once the call was made, the man came down within 10-15 minutes and checked us in. He was very nice but I think they may need to re-vamp their check-in process as that added unnecessary stress to our trip. The room itself was clean and very basic. The Internet was good, however, the remote for the TV didn't work. The restaurant next door hosted a large party outside on its patio which was right under our window, it was pretty loud for a while but ended before midnight (something to keep in mind if you're travelling in patio weather and like to go to bed early. They had issues with their elevators so we ended up carting our luggage down three flights of stairs when we were checking out. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you needed somewhere cheap to stay for an extended amount of time (has nice communal kitchen facilities), however, there are better options in the same price range in and around Brussels that would be better suited for tourists.

Old hotel taken over by the BE system. Not that bad. The TV was very old and the remote did not work.
Receptionist tried to replace batteries. Still not working. Anyway for what you pay, it is clean and plain. You had to go and get clean towels at the front desk. OK too. You had to bring down your own garbage. OK, however, the garbage container where they asked you to dump it, was always full/overflow.
We visited Waterloo and museums. The hotel was central to our activities. The room was advertised as
a studion with small kitchenette and a common area kitchen available which we did not use. The room had no facilities other than a small fridge. You get what you pay for... Wifi with their limitations was OK.

Spacious accommodations, clean. The comfort of the beds is \"adequate\" without superlatives. The upper floor is by far the best, rooms are large, equipped with a complete kitchen fully supplied with utensils, dishes, forks, knifes, glasses, etc ... Lower floors bear a potent nauseabond smell. Desk staff is anything but friendly :

Reporting trouble with the self-keyed in apparatus (you have to pinch a special code yourself in matter to access the hotel) to enter the lobby, I was replied there was no problem at all, and if problem there was, it must have been me! Very rude and unprofessional, as other persons experienced the same difficulties we did. Rating = Minus +

I arrived at this hotel exhausted after 10 hours of traveling, made to sit and wait for over an hour and then finally hotel staff decided to talk to me and told me my reservation was cancelled for non payment. I was advised by Expedia not to pay before I got to the hotel. Wrong advice. Then I was told there was nothing they could do! So much for customer satisfaction!

Good value if you need to be near Brussels Airport

Common areas and room were clean, but the room was in need of upgrading. Lots of mold in bathroom tiles as well as several broken tiles. The property description specified free wifi but they only provide free internet between 8 - 10 AM and 4 - 8 PM. You have to pay to get internet at other times. The reception desk is only manned during the same hours, 8 - 10 AM and 4 - 8 PM, so you need to advise them in advance if you need to check in earlier than 4. The location is in a small town, Rhode-Saint-Genese, southeast of Brussels. Be careful to enter the town name when setting your GPS because the address, 212 Chaussee de Waterloo, is duplicated in Brussels but it is more than a half hour away.

An unconventional hotel!

An acceptable hotel, once you can get. If you arrive on SUNDAY the reception is not open! We discovered that instructions for entry are sent in an email. Happily another guest let us in the front door and we worked out the rest . The key to the room was locked in a safe and, again, the code was in an email . So check your emails from this hotel! Unsurprisingly we were not the only bewildered guests, I helped another couple gain access to their room.

Great Value in Brussels

Hotel is Brussels south, but central brussels is only 20 minutes by bus.Enjoy the ability to use the well equipped kitchen to cook your own meals, or you can avail of Chinese restaurant right next door. Having freshly coffee available in reception during opening hours was great. Access to bus routes right outside the hotel and shop within 200m ensures you never run low.

We stayed here while visiting the Napoleon museums in the area. We were looking for someplace cheap and convenient which is what this was. We didn't buy the breakfast as it was costly and we bought food from a store nearby. The hotel was clean, comfortable,and the private bathroom was great. The major downside was the front desk only being open 2 hours in the morning and 4 in the afternoon/evening. Very inconvenient. We had to plan our day around checking in. Other than that it was great and I'd recommend it for other students on a budget.

Clean and inexpensive, but not many places to eat

Nothing wrong with the rooms, people on the desk were fine, but they are not there all the time. Nowhere to go for a meal within walking distance other than two places. One is an all you can eat Chinese in the same building which was actually better than it sounds, but not local cuisine; the other was a Thai restaurant we didn't visit. We were looking for Belgian food and had to drive to find it.

Hotel vieillot non rénové, literie et oreillers en très mauvais états. Les photos du site sont vraiment trompeuses, l'hotel est dans un état de délabrement avancé. Pas de prise de courant près du lit pour brancher les tél, pas de clim, hygiène douteuses, électricité non aux normes, déclenchement de l'alarme en pleine nuit, ouverture de fenetre impossible car bruit et fenetre très vétuste qui bascule complètement, petit déjeuner horriblement cher... peu de positif à dire.

Cher pour le service proposé. Pas horrible., la chambre spartiate était bien propre. Mais aucune indication des communs, j'ai du errer pour trouver la cuisine, courir après l'accueillant pour le check-in. Il y avait une soirée karaoké sous le bâtiment donc pas mal de bruit. Gérable mais on aurait aimé être prévenu. Pour 50€ ce serait ok, mais 80€ pour ça c'est exagéré.

Het hotel lag dichtbij het startpunt van de trail die ik wou wandelen. De accomodatie was vlot bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer. De check-in met de code verliep vlot.
De kamer was echter bijzonder warm, de onthaalruimte en de gangen roken niet fris. Qua hygiëne kan het toch ook beter.

Hotels.com devrai retirer cet établissement de ses offres immédiatement, l'établissement est dans un état de délabrement avancée, la chambre est vétuste et rafistolée par des amateurs, linge de lit et serviettes usée a la corde avec des traces suspectes, l'état des murs, sols plafonds, sanitaires, douche et équipements est simplement honteux

Struttura non dotata di reception dopo le 18: abbiamo prenotato \"last-minute\" in viaggio alle 16.30 senza avere evidenza della cosa: arrivati in struttura alle 20 non abbiamo potuto fare il check in e quindi abbiamo dovuto cercare altro albergo (nonostante ciò, la Direzione ci ha comunque trattenuto il costo del pernotto dalla carta di credito)

Arrivée après l’heure de réception, j’ai attendu de très longues minutes (15mn) que l’on vienne m’ouvrir avec -7C dehors.
La chambre était très froide et il n’y avait qu’un tout p’tit radiateur (500w) électrique type grille pain qui n’était pas allumé, malgré son allumage par un simple interrupteur, il fallait savoir qu’il fallait en plus tourner le thermostat fixé sur un autre mur pour que le radiateur chauffe enfin.
J’ai dû dormir en jogging coton épais + pull col roulé et j’ai même hésité à garder mon bonnet tellement il faisait froid.
Le lendemain au réveil, la chambre était toujours aussi froide.
Hôtel plus qu’ancien. Tout est très vieux et en mauvais état.
Des gouttes d’urine sèches sur la cuvette des toilettes…
Une Horreur !!!
