The family who run this very sweet hotel are kind, accommodating, and offer most everything you could want. I felt safe and I loved the balcony off of my room where I got to watch the full moon. It was so easy to get to. All the bus/metro lines stop right in front or very close by - There are also city bike rentals you can get to bike all over Brussels and you can easily either get to the city center or to the most impressive forest. They also have a delicious restaurant so if you are hungry morning, noon or night there is delicious food to satisfy any Food cravings.

Nice and simple hotel in a wonderful neighborhood

Very nice and convenient place for a visiting friend to stay close to my home. The area is quiet and green - very different from the 'typical' Brussels image - but it only takes 20 - 30 minutes to go downtown Brussels by bus or subway.
The hotel is simple but recently renovated with clean and spacious rooms.

The room I stayed has a bad smell. The bed sheets seems to be old and smelly. Check-in was confusing. The reservation was made for two days but in the reception book they have only one. It took time to clarify. The price was too high for the quality of the hotel.

Reasonable hotel

It’s the second time I’ve stayed here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Room is ok, bathroom is spotless. Wi-Fi works! Easy walk to get to the meeting I have to get to, so we’ll worth the money.

L'Auberge du Souverain is a nice hotel overlooking a small lake. it is on the outskirts of Brussels, but fairly close to the end of Metro Line 5. Comfortable hotel, friendly staff.

Convenient location to work in the area.

The hotel is clean and in a quiet area. Service is quick and personal.

Practical stop

The restaurant does make very good Indian food for an average 15 euros a dish, and has awards for this. The separate hotel reception is at the back right side of this building. The brochure I picked up from reception quoted Belgium Franks, and talked about the luxurious furnishings, which were now therefor pre 2002. A list of do nots greets you in the room, so do not plan to cook in the room or do laundry, which were not on my list anyway. Large room with bath/shower. Well served for transport, with tram and bus just outside. A pleasant local area. Parking in street until 1000am. Helpful staff.

excellent Indian food in the attached restaurant

I was given for the first night a tiny room in the attics. It would have been ok, but the next morning I felt toilet odour coming from the aeration louver. They changed my room, and chose one in the old part of the hotel with windows toward back garden. There was a big construction across the street and the noise was bothering me, otherwise the hotel is located in a quite quiet place.
The hotel looks quite oldish. Elevators are really old and only few rooms are up to the three stars standard. The personnel is pretty nice and tries to be as helpful as possible. But the owner should definitely invest some money in renovating properly.

Es war nicht was wir davon erwartet hatten. Die Note 7,5 war nicht gerechtfertigt nach unserer Meinung. Das Personal war aber sehr bemüht. Das Frühstück war überschaubar und war schon frühzeitig vergriffen. Es würde nicht ausreichend nachgefüllt.

Hotel ok but shower did not work

The hotel was ok, but room Number 45, they seriously need to fix the shower! First only ice cold water, then maybe 5sec ok Temperature, then burning hot. Asked them to fix it but nothing happened.

Breakfast pretty basic, but for the price of 10€ the quality-price ratio was ok. They make you an omelette if you want it, did not try. Coffee 2/5 stars

Propreté moyenne. Fenêtres à changer, surtout à la salle de bains où nous étions. Il manque une notice pour l'utilisation de la télé ; peu de chaînes françaises (2 seulement). Le personnel est serviable par ailleurs.

Værelsesstandard svinger meget, fra det fint smagfulde og pæne til det letterede trashede \"indiske\" sammenrend af lyserødt tapet og spånplade. Gotta love it. Restauraten er der til gengæld intet trashy over, bortset fra måske den verpyntede æstetik, men maden er virkelig god. Og personalet er et par self-made ejere, ser det ud til. Neoncharme når det er bedst.

L’Hotel non è male ma al limite. Camera e bagno poco spaziosa, il letto è confortabile ma il materasso ha una forte inclinazione. Spesso, visto che l’hotel è nello stesso edificio, ci sono odori della cucina del ristorante indiano che sono, a mio parere, fastidiosi per un soggiorno in albergo.
Buona connessione Wi-Fi.
A mio parere la qualità globale non rispetta/vale il prezzo pagato ne’ la categoria dell’hotel.

Visst är närområdet fantastiskt, visst är personalen sympatisk o hjälpsam, visst är rummen relativt billiga...men hotellet är mycket slitet. Fick rummet på våning 4 med sliten hiss till våning 3 och sedan jättetrånga trappor. Maskinrummet som ligger precis bredvid rummet förstör upplevelsen (och sömnen). Fina bilder på utemiljön på sajten, men man får ta frukost inomhus i ett ganska mörkt rum (Trots det var i Juni och fint väder). Fri parkering utanför hottellet...om Du inte kommer kl. 22.00, då är det hej då. Nääää, inget lämplig hotell för businessfolk, definitivt.

Hôtel surprenant

Environnement et décoration très kitsch. Nous avons été confrontés à un gros problème d'odeur, trop de parfum d'ambiance diffusé avant notre arrivée, (solutionné le lendemain auprès du personnel) et forte odeur de cuisine indienne durant notre première nuit, au point de nous réveiller. Il y a des travaux actuellement dans le voisinage, qui démarrent vers 7h30 le matin. Impossible d'obtenir une chaine belge ou en langue française sur la télévision, le wifi en revanche fonctionnait.
Literie minimale -drap de dessus plus petit que la taille du lit, propreté des oreillers non certifiée mais les matelas étaient confortables.
Le personnel est affable mais nous ne l'avons pas beaucoup rencontré, n'ayant pas pris nos petits déjeuners sur place.

Hotel dat niet met de tijd is meegegaan

Onze reservering was niet opgemerkt door het hotel. Er was daardoor geen kamer meer beschikbaar waar echt voldoende ruimte was voor een bed voor onze gehandicapte dochter. Het hotel bood ons 2 kamers aan, maar ja dat was niet wat wij wilden. Het personeel was wel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De badkamer was klein maar heel schoon. Wij kregen de douche heel moeilijk iets kouder afgesteld. Het ontbijt was prima, dat had wel een goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Un hotel qui a dû être très beau mais qui par manque d'entretien est un peu decrepit. La moquette dans la chambre, est propre mais délavée, le dessus de lit elimé au point d'être troué, le drapé encadrant les fenetre a dut un jour etre somptueux, mais helas aujourd'hui il saccorde avec la moquette et le dessus de lit. La salle de bain bien que spacieuse et propre, a le carrelage qui bouge et la clim, la tuyauterie apparente qui se termine dans une bouteille posée au sol. Bref, tres propre, pour une nuit pas de soucis, mais nous ne reviendrons pas pour autant.

Accueil froid ,hôtel indien, pas précisé dans la publicité,dès l'arrivée , insistance pour régler la note d'avance alors que réservation faite par internet,manque de confiance de la part de l'hôtel , le parking précisé gratuit n'est qu'une rue en impasse arrivant derrière l'hôtel où il n'y a que 4 ou 5 places maximum. si complet ,nécessité d'aller se garer dans la rue devant les habitations du quartier.pas d'accompagnement ni d'aide pour les bagages pour aller à la chambre.

Juste pour depanner

Deux nuits passees, dans le cadre d'une formation professionnelle dans le quartier.
Tres mauvaise isolation phonique entre les chambres des etages sus et sous jacents.
Les chambres sont situees au dessus d'un ( tres bon ,sois disant ) restaurant indien, donc de fortes odeurs dans la chambre en soiree et le matin
Petit dejeuner limité!!!

Hôtel qui mérite ses 3 étoiles.

3 nuits correctes.
Mais un dîner au restaurant dont le prix ne m'a pas semblé transparent. J'ai commandé un plat à 14€ et j'ai payé 21€ : 14 + 4 pour la bouteille d'eau + 3 dont j'ignore la raison. On ne m'a pas donné de facture détaillée de ce repas.

L'hôtel est situé dans un quartier bien agréable, proche du tram qui vous emmène vers le centre de Bruxelles et proche des boulevards qui permettent de rejoindre différents quartiers de Bruxelles.
L'hôtel est calme et le personnel accueillant.
Je n'ai pas pris le petit-déjeuner.

Quelques heures de dépaysement

Étonnant cet hôtel à côté d'un restaurant indien . Les odeurs de curry nous ont agréablement surpris ! Accueil très sympathique. La chambre décorée à l'indienne était agréable, un dépaysement en plein Bruxelles. Très joli quartier, étangs à proximité où il fait bon se promener . Petit regret, pas de touche de cuisine indienne au petit déjeuner !
