My stay at Hotel NH Brussels EU Berlaymont was truly lovely. On my arrival, I was kindly upgraded, and on Christmas Day I was surprised with thoughtful gifts in my room, which was such a nice touch.

The room was clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay.

Leaving tomorrow feels hard after such a wonderful time in both the city and the hotel. I would happily stay here again.

Easy to get to by public transportation. Particularly good option when the EU/EC is not is session. Lots of neighborhood restaurants and bars. Hotel is in good condition, good multilingual staff and great breakfast.

Second visit to this hotel, previous room at the front of the building with views overlooking the various landmarks of Brussels, a quiet room with a nice view. This time I stayed in the garden area which was at the rear of the hotel, also quiet and overlooking the gardens with calming sounds of birds etc. both nice options. Used the gym and enjoyed excellent breakfast options, fresh fruit, pastries, hot cooked options and a new breakfast menu on each table to select from, a nice improvement which included a Belgian waffle. Breakfast again was excellent. The location is ideal for short stays with a metro nearby to visit other parts of Brussels and easy 8 stops from midi station. This hotel area is quiet and very convenient for working at the EU HQ. It is easy enough to get to the other areas if needed by transport. A nice option for short stays in Brussels. Thanks again to the team

This is 2 mins away from the European Commission building so is ideal quite accessible to other parts of the city. A 5 minute walk to the nearest metro which is 20 minutes from the main Brussels midi station. Staff were helpful and polite, breakfast was a good mix of hot and cold, continental and cooked. Plenty of fruit, tea, coffee and juices to choose from. Convenience to other parts of the city the area of the hotel is quiet at night but still has some nice restaurants nearby and pubs to watch sports that don’t disturb the calmness of the area. Overall a very pleasant and comfortable stay in the European area. I would be happy to recommend and choose this hotel again.

Location was great, 5 min to Schuman Metro/Train station or express bus to the airport. Rooms were a lacking in lighting, even with the shades fully open the desk area was a bit dark so would be nicer with more lighting.

Little cafe at the front had all you need for a quick breakfast.

My boyfriend and i have been travelling around europe and this is undoubtedly the beat hotel we've stayed in so far. The staff was very friendly and the room was stunning. Only thing is that its not super close to central brussels but that gave us an excuse to rent the electric scooters (you also can definitely walk too, it just takes a little longer)

Excellent location just behind the European Commission, near all public transport. The hotel has seen its best days, it is comfortable but very dates. There was some unexplainable humming sound in my room which kept waking me up. Strangers’ hair found in the bathroom. The staff, however, couldn’t be more friendly. The breakfast is worth it.

Hotel is nice and in a convenient location for us. However we stayed 2 nights in a room at the front of the hotel and there were 2 separate noise problems:
1. On Saturday night the shouting/music from the Kitty OShea bar was really loud until after 4am (even with our window closed).
2. On Monday morning nearby construction work started at 7am (crashing/drilling/shouting/unloading etc).

We reported this to the receptionist but unfortunately the only response was a Gallic shrug.

Located beside the Berlaymont building/ European Commission and near all other EU buildings, Tram and bus stations are a 3-4 min walk and will easily take you into the old city center (3-4 stops by tram) or anywhere else around. Great for a business trip in the area. Hotel has excellent conference facilities and a good gym. Our room appeared to have been modernized recently enough and was cleaned well both days we were there. Water bottle provided each day, mini-fridge, coffee machine, tea kettle, and suit press in room. Umbrella provided by staff if you forget it on a rainy day. Water and candies available at the welcome desk. Staff is very helpful and nice. When we were there, we heard various staff members speaking English, French, Dutch, German and Spanish to us and other costumers, which was helpful. Breakfast spread was impressive and opened between 6:30 and 10:30 a.m., but they appeared to stay open until 11 am for the late risers. If you get hungry in the middle of the night, there is a snack fridge with drinks, cold sandwiches, chips, etc. that you can charge to your room. Remember that you will have to pay a city tax in addition to your hotel costs on Expedia. For two nights, ours was only eight euros.

The front desk staff in not helpful in providing information about the are around the hotel. The air conditioning only works in 1/2 of the building. Guests should be advised of this when checking in. The hotel should consider replacing the carpets in the rooms with a more hygienic surface, such as vinyl tile.

Once a very good hotel now very badly run

No hot water on either day, so I could not have a shower on arrival or before departure. Loud noise from other guests during the night woke me at 2/3am. I was departing at 7am - as I entered the lift I saw that someone had thrown up in the lift.

When I complained to the manger at the reception desk about no hot water and the filthy state of the lift, he just shrugged and said housekeeping would clean the lift later.

Awful management. I stayed in this hotel many times before it changed brand and management, if this is an example of how NH approaches customer service, then I will not be back.

Short trip to Brussels form Frankfurt, modern, nice hotel in center of EU district. East to get to by Train, Metro and airport bus. Hotel rooms are in good condition, with coffee maker, minifridge. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Bars and restaurants close by but not open on weekends due to big lunch crowed. Have stayed here in the past, certainly will again. Best rates when EU/EC is not in session.

Cons: the gym was closed. The toilet kept running, which was a bit annoying.

We had the worst experience ever the night we get to the hotel and we saw a big sign in the front door saying that it’s closed that all Reservation were transferred to another hotel and I was wondering why nobody called us and let us know about this issue so we went to that other hotel when we get there we spend some time because the person at the desk said he didn’t have our reservation and they refuse to give us a room Because it didn’t have our reservation finally we get a room after calling the other hotel at 4 o’clock morning Beside the hotel was great Lucky I have my reservation number dating for that night

Asked if I could upgrade to a balcony room as it was unseasonably hot took 3 members of staff and a long time to be told they couldn’t find the price I had paid as it was done on this site they could only suggest that we paid again for the price of the other room €120 sure it’s a simple matter ie standard room is X balcony room is Y just charge the difference???? Decided life was too short and took original room which hadn’t be vacuumed under the bed for weeks 2 coat hangers on a rail for 2 people would never return here always in Brussels and there are much better places to stay for less

The best thing about the hotel was the convenient location for a business traveller. 5 minute walk to Schuman Train stations gets you to the airport in 15 minutes, or Schuman Metro station to city center in 10 minutes. Many restaurants and parks nearby.

Rooms were large and comfortable. Fridge, large safe, in-room tea/coffee. As with most European hotels, only shampoo is provided, no conditioner, so bring your own. The room was a little dark and could use more lighting, especially in or near the closet which was completely dark. Garden-facing room was very quiet with peaceful views into the trees.

They were so great and upon check out they offered us coffee even though it was 5am and the restaurant wasn’t open yet. They were so accommodating and the location is so central and rooms were so clean! Will definitely book again and recommend!

I had a very pleasant stay at the NH Berlaymont. The room was spacious, had a balcony, a beautiful view and alot of sunlight. The kingsize bed was super comfortable so I slept really well. The room had everything I needed such as a hairdryer, a safe, a free mini-bar and a steam press. I am slightly OCD'ish but their bathroom was spotless, just as I wanted. I wanted to so some street photography at night. I was out in the vicinity until around 2 am. I found the area to be very safe & secure as it's just next to the European Commission. There's no downside. However, it would be nice if they ventilate the rooms more frequently in future as there was a slight locked-up smell to the room. But overall I had a great experience.

Horrible customer service, rude staff and old rooms which are claimed to be renovated. However, a lot of wear and tear is visible!!! NOT recommended!

Housekeeping is full of games. Will turn your room sign to \"do not disturb\" and not clean your room.

A very nice hotel with strong wireless. There's around a mile walk from the central train station, to the hotel, but it's mostly a straight line. Clean, convenient, great staff and I'd stay again. The Big Red tour bus is also situated just outside of the train station so that's a bonus.

There's place to eat... Turn left out of the hotel, then left again and head up. There's also a general store near to the hotel.
