First Brussels visit
Excellent experience. Check-in was courteous and efficient. We were quite early but coffee shops and restaurants conveniently close by. We stowed our luggage in a dedicated room near check-in. Lobby was comfortable enough fir a brief wait and had M/W restrooms. Rooms were well enough appointed, ckean and larger than some we’ve stayed in. Breakfast each day was excellent. Breakfast room was always clean and well staffed with ample variety, scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts, breads, pastries, fruit, coffe and tea.

The plus is the location but that is it. Photos shown on Expedia were probably taken in 1980 it’s that dated. Furniture in room was stained but worse is the window looks onto a wall this is not mentioned on the description it’s like stay long in a cell! On complaining we were told this was a good room so beware they have worse ones!

The location of the hotel is pretty good. It is just across the road from a metro station, and is a short (15mins) walk to Grand Place and a couple of museums.
But the building itself is rather old, and the room and its fittings are rather dowdy and dingy. The breakfast area, in contrast, is bright and cheerful, and the food is wide-ranging and tasty.

A very nice hotel, however room lacked convenient outletsc for charging electronic devices. Bathroom lacked towel bars for hanging towels after use. Complimentar breakfast was very good and dining area was spacious with view of street below. Front desk attendant nicely helped us get a taxi to train station after Uber failed us. Nothing particularly wrong with this hotel, staff were friendly. Window looked out into internal area with AC units only. Nothing quite worked right in the room, layout was poor. Biggest problem was hotel was at top of a long hill from transportation hubs, big climb. Never knew Brussels had hills until this trip! Didn't help that power was out when we arrived and reservation was not on printed list, made us very nervous. Anyway it was fine, but only fine.

Small hotel, rooms towards inner yards are quiet even though the hotel is next to very busy road junction. Basic breakfast. Rooms quite old, but serviceable. Tiny, narrow corridors, and a single small elevator (up to 7th floor) make it difficult if you have issues with mobility.

There was a hole underneath the sink on the wall uncovered. The shower is kind of like a cruise one but smaller, I am petite and hit myself taking a shower. I was not even a whole day, I rented the 21 & 22 to checkout on the 23rd and left the 22nd of December at 6am. Explained the FE that because of security strike at airport I was leaving a day ahead, I even call from the plane to let them know I was leaving around 10am, and still I am not being refunded? After I’ve made so many trip arrangements through Expedia? This is bad customer service.

But the room could be improved with some attention to small things, like a broken table leg and the safe was also broken. The room just needed a bit more TLC. But otherwise very good stay!

One of my excursions was canceled prior to my arrival but I didn’t worry because the hotel advertised assistance with this. But when I asked at check in they said they don’t do that. When I asked for a recommendation as to a company or service that could assist, I was told they had no idea how to help me.
Shower slide didn’t work properly so there was always water on the floor, and the shower hose didn’t stay up, it kept sliding down. The only lamp in the room didn’t work until I plugged it in, and when I went back To the front desk to ask for hair conditioner and a washcloth they had no idea what I was talking about, even after I acted out what those 2 items did. When I asked for a cab to the airport they called for one, whose credit card machine was broken and he demanded cash, then dropped me off in the parking garage and said his machine really wouldn’t work in there.
Overall I felt like they were all in cahoots to make a foreigner feel unwelcome in what should have been a very cosmopolitan city

The location is good. The staffs are friendly and help us to get hot water from the restaurant. The downside is the wall between each room are very thin, our next door was not happy when we speak too loud. And my other friends even heard what their next door was doing during the night, which is very unpleasant.

When we returned to our room on day 2 after sight seeing there was a very strong methane gassy small from the bathroom. The manager informed us it often happens after it rains and its from the drains. It gave us a headache and we had to leave the window wide open. We were unable to get another room as it was fully booked.

Asked the front desk if we can switch to a room that has wifi signal, told me I can switch the next morning, but when I ask again the next morning, the front desk said the rooms are fully booked so it is not possible to switch for another day. Finally the third day we were able to switch to another room, BUT there is still no signal in the room...

Great Brussels Hotel
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Brussels Central Train Station. It's close to restaurants, stores, and attractions. The checkin was fast and easy. The desk agent was quite helpful and the breakfast included was excellent!

Claim to have wifi but the suggested link was flagged up as dangerously unsafe by both my phones (android and apple) and my laptop as hosted by a remote 3rd party. Reception DEMANDED I give him my phone so he could log on for me - obviously I refused.

Warm weather in Brussels
The hotel was lovely, although our room was funky. Two stories with the bathroom on one floor and the bedroom/sitting area a whole flight up. The hotel advertised air conditioning, but, even after two staff members checked it out, our room remained uncomfortably warm. The room was advertised to have a \"city view\"' however, the window, from the floor, was only 3 feet high. We would have needed to bend over to have any view at all.
Further, lighting was rather inadequate, making reading difficult.
That being said, the staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and taxi reservations. The breakfast room was very pleasant and the breakfast better than average. Lovely pastry selection.

The room was fine, not enough pillows, asked the housemaid for more, they failed to materialise, maybe the language barrier was a problem. No coffee or tea making facilities in room, which was disappointing. Breakfast was fine, nice choice, bacon very “ropy”, everything else fine. For the location excellent, would maybe look at staying somewhere else next time. But saying this, a good budget hotel.

Hotel Chambord is not the greatest hotel in Brussels but it is OK and it is close enough to the \"Europe Quarter\" to be able to walk to business meetings but far enough away from that area to avoid the rip-off prices that some hotels in Brussels try to charge.

Excellent location to city centre. Also very close by interesting and good quality shops, restaurants, restros, bistros and bars. Very helpful staff and healthy and cooked protein breakfast supplied. On the whole I would recommend to family and friends. Thank you it was our second stay and would return.

Can not fault our stay. Checking in was very easy and smooth. Don’t make the mistake and think you can walk the stairs (we were on the 4th floor). Use the elevator! Room was clean but had and heating was was perfect. It was was a decent size as well. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but for it to be included in the price I’m not sure you can expect more. Location is very good, 10 min walk max into the center.

my stay was a bit like the curates egg, good in parts. the room was small but then i got a good deal. the air-conditioning and heating was on at the same time. so both were turned off. i woke in the middle of the night to a very hot room. There were no instructions in the room nor the phone number of reception. so i had to open the window into a central square area and my room was on the ground part of this area, that left me feeling insecure and interrupted my sleep. the breakfast was good. staff were pleasant and the lift didnt stop on my floor which necessitated dragging cases up and down stairs. the location is good. i have acknowledge that i only paid €69 B/B. so apart from the interrupted sleep it was a good deal.

I have been in 15 different hotels over the past month. This was the worst. The extremely small room had a nice sewer smell. Wifi did not work in the room. No temperature control in the room. Could barely open the window to get some air because it was way too warm. TV did not work. They didn't offer me to change room nor gave me a discount despite all the above. Oh yes and above all, staff was a little rude to me. They basically looked at me as if I didn't belong in their self claimed \"luxurious\" hotel during my entire stay. Probably due to the fact that I didn't fit their typical client profile (I'm quite young and dress as such)

Good Business Stay Hotel
Good priced central hotel within reasonable walking distance of restaurants, shopping area, Grand Square and EU Parliament buildings.
Only downside, no coffee/tea making facililities in room ( and no means to get hot water - for Lemsip - out of breakfast hours. )
Be warned, they mean the 2pm check in time for arrival but quite possible to work in the basic but comfortable lobby with hotel wifi if you arrive early
