Location is ideal and hotel is nice. Breakfast buffet was better than expected. One night the hotel lost power but it came back after a couple of hours, mainly when everyone was sleeping. Staff were nice and courteous.

What a lovely stay. The reception was very welcoming. They missed the delivery of a bottle of wine upon arrival, but made up for it later that night. The room was warm. Opening the window did not seem to help. Just very stuffy. But extremely clean and staff were accommodating.

Amazing staff, the cleaner ‘Rosemin’ was amazing, couldn’t do enough for us.
The hotel is not tired it is decorated in the old style and beautifully. Mths service was amazing by all staff and it has all you need for an amazing stay.
Great location, good rooms and decor, bistro is very good with food and just ask as they try to cater.
5 star all round.

The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff were all friendly and helpful, in particular Romona from house keeping. My only slightly negative comment on my staff was having to wait 40 minutes to check in, as the room wasnt prepared, however to thier credit the hotel apologised and gave a complimentary gift. I have still rated everything as excellent, as i have stayed here 10 plus times over the past few years and have never had an issue.

As you walk into the hotel, the reception area is beautifully presented (and this was even more so with it being Christmas time). The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The reception team were welcoming and helpful. The hotel was in a great location too!

We started out in a beautiful room.
And then the problems began.
1. Our toilet was running nonstop so we asked for Maintenance to come and fix it which they did.
2. The temperature in our room was uncomfortably warm at 73°F and we ask them to help us adjust the thermostat. They told us that it would cool down and to give it some time. We waited several hours and the temperature only climbed to 75°F.
3. We were on a non-smoking floor and our room began to fill with a very strong cigarette smoke smell.

We finally asked management to move us to a new room which they did.

Unfortunately, they downgraded us to a very dirty room that needed renovating. The carpets were filthy and the room was in great need of upgrading and improvement. And amazingly the room was equally as hot. When we called the front desk we were then offered a fan which we declined due to the noise. And finally we were told to open our windows as it might take hours for the system to cool down, which brought City noise in into the early hours of the morning. Sadly it was an exhausting night.

We had no desire for an upgrade, but we should’ve at least been extended the same level of room we had paid for which had recently been renovated and was lovely. It’s unfortunate that circumstances beyond our control forced us into a downgraded room.

If we return to Brussels, we most likely will not return to this hotel.

Very nice hotel. The ambiance from the inside is excellent. You think you are in a small.castle. wood, lights and chimney everywhere. Rooms are nice, spacious and clean. Breakfast is fine, not too many choices but is above the average of what you will expect. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Just a walking distance from the grande place.

Was really well located to enjoy the old centre and Christmas events. Walkable and enjoyed the area.

The room was a bit dated, broken lights and pictures, dings on furniture but I'm sure it was nice when it was new. The lobby was really nice and welcoming.

Really close to the train station for any days trips you might need.

Good option for a central hotel.

Great location and very elegant. Was central to shopping and the Christmas markets. Air conditioning did not work well enough to provide any air circulation. Only issue was that I had reserved a room with canal view and overlooked the street (I didn’t recall the reservation until after I checked out). I would stay there again.

The hotel was conveniently located. Staff was wonderful and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated for. Specifically in the bathroom it looked like things were covered up with some quick caulking. Should instead be properly stripped and cleaned.

Honestly I could not be more happier with the hotel. Check in was easy. Hotel staff courteous. Room was very good size for a European hotel! I was concerned about the room facing the concert hall but could not hear anything. Extemely close to Grand Palace. Hit the different Christmas markets there in Belgium, Bruege and visited Ghent. Central Station is a five minute walk. Breakfast was a buffet and great variety. Would not hesitate to return back to this hotel.

Pros: The location is convenient and the amenities are present as advertised (in room fridge, kettle, fitness center, room service etc). Cons: The furnishings and fixtures are quite old/worn in this hotel. The bed was extremely hard, and the faucet in our room leaked. The shower did not have a curtain, and the water made the entire bathroom floor wet. Noise from both the street and the hallway made it difficult to sleep. Would visit the city again, but not stay at this hotel.

The location is excellent, in historic center, in short walking distance to main attractions, museums, train station, restaurants and shopping. The room was elegant and sparkly clean. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The staff is very friendly.
Excellent hotel, highly recommended. There is even a piano in the lobby available for who knows how to play it.

Overall a great experience, but falls just short of a dull point score. No major complaints, only small things such as, getting the shower to a desired temp relies on fractions of a degree of precision on the cold water knob, or squeaky doors and askew decor. Overall, trivial complaints, but just enough to allow more sorted locations to take lead.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. First, I was not given the room that I had originally booked. As a VIP guest, I was also entitled to a complimentary bottle of wine, which I never received. In addition, I felt that the receptionist who checked me in did not treat me well. Another receptionist later admitted that a mistake had been made with my room assignment and assured me that the wine would be sent, but it never arrived.

What upsets me even more is that I was told my room had been upgraded and that this was recorded in their system. However, I did not stay in an upgraded room. This feels dishonest, and I am extremely disappointed that I was misled.

I was also traveling with my child, and this experience made our stay even more upsetting. I had expected a much higher level of service and care, but unfortunately, the hotel fell far below expectations.

The building, facilities and amenities are a bit outdated but we still had a wonderful time. The staff was lovely and the location is perfect, close to absolute everything, within minutes walk you are at the museum or the square or restaurants/bars. There is also a parking on site so since we drove through Belgium, it was really convenient.

Excellent hotel and very friendly staff. Great location. The only issue was my mum who is in her late 70s was very cold in her room because the room thermostat didn’t work. The hotel did provide her with an extra blanket and tried to fix it but was the same on the second night, her hands were freezing in the morning.
