The rooms are small and you can hear everything due to the thin walls. The bed mattress is super soft and it feels like you are sinking in the middle.

We stayed for 2 nights and had a good stay. We had a bad start with check in. We arrived at 3pm and It took a while to get checked in and the original room wasn’t ready so they had to give us another room. The receptionist was accommodating and asked us if we wanted a room with a shower or Bath and if we wanted a room at the front or back. She upgraded us and we had a lovely warm comfortable room at the front of the hotel looking out on the street. The hotel was in an ideal location and it was always so warm. The bathroom was nicely decorated and always lovely hot water. It was quiet around the hotel and corridors and we had 2 great nights of sleep. We would definitely stay again

The room itself was very small, but suitable to my needs.
The biggest problem though was that the room was situated facing the big street in front of the hotel. Across the street is a club that is open until 5am with very loud music.
As the windows don't isolate noise at all, I barely got any sleep during my first night there. For the second night I bough earplugs from the pharmacy next door and was able to sleep.
This is not a fault from the hotel itself, but something to be aware of if booking a room there.

Glad there is a lift.

So convenient for lots of places, as a wheelchair user that is important, the cobbles are not good, so it is helpful to be so near the Grand Place, Metro, fantastic eating places, etc.

Even though it's mid-October the room was warm, we had the window open all night - hence our advice to pack earplugs, as it is quite noisy at night and early morning flights.

We thought it was good value for money, location superb, and would definitely stay here again.

Vey convenient for the Grand Place, where we attended (as we always do) the Belgian Beer Weekend. Three of us had small single rooms, perfectly acceptable. I had a large room with double bed. Again, fine. The hotel is unpretentious but in very good decorative order and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was reasonable value at 19 euros. Cereals, scrambled egg, boiled eggs, 2 breads, pastry, good coffee, apples and oranges, bowl of fruit salad. Delightful chief receptionist who was very patient with my French. But her English was very good and we communicated with no problems. Very friendly and charming young lady. Other receptionists also fine. Speedy and efficient lift. We will definitely return to the Dansaert next year.

This hotel is very close to the Bourse and only a few minutes walk from the Grande Place. It is ideally situated for anyone who wants to see the sites and is only about ten minutes or so walk from Brussels Central Station. We were warmly welcomed by the Receptionist who spoke very good English. He could not have been more helpful.
The hotel has a lift and we were allocate a room on the fourth floor. Our bedroom was at the rear of the premises so was very quiet, even though the hotel is situated in the city centre. It was not large but adequate for our use. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was a shower room with a walk-in shower.
We did not have breakfast as we wanted to get out to explore the sites.

On Hotels.com it says that airport shuttle was free and that was not true it cost us 50 Euro to get the hotel. The room was very small. The bathroom was very small absolutely no room on the sink to put a toothbrush. As people traveled outside in the hallway it sounded as if they were coming in the room. I could hear my neighbors flush the toilet. Not a good experience. I really didn’t like that the hotel shuttle as a lie. It was 50 euro both ways. Very disappointed.

The hotel is in an excellent location, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hallways need an update - the carpet is old and stained, but the room was clean. The shower was terribly designed - no door, and the floor was not sloped enough, so most of the water seeped out and would have gone under the bathroom door into the bedroom without a towel at entrance to shower. The soundproofing was dreadful, and there was lots of noise from the street throughout the night - definitely bring your ear plugs.

We were early to check in but the hotel let us carry our own bags downstairs to a little room until our room was ready. We came back later in the afternoon to check in. Told room was ready. Employee was again very nice enough to let us carry our heavy bags back up the stairs. When we got to our room we were greeted by food left from the previous guest. I am sure the olives, blueberries and dried up cake were good when fresh... There was a lovely two foot by 3 foot balcony facing the inner concrete courtyard. No need for an alarm clock at this hotel as the construction at 730 am primes you for the breakfast...that you can get anywhere away from the hotel. All in all the location was great....a few blocks from the hotel. Needless to stay, we will not be back, nor recommend this place. Cheers

The main plus of this hotel is the location, near the Grand Place so close to many attractions and restaurants. The hotel staffs are friendly and kind. The room is fairly clean, but I can feel the dust on the carpet (maybe it can be cleaned more thoroughly).

The only thing bothered me was the noise from the club across the street, it almost always woke me up too early.

Overall, nice experince.

There was work being carried out at the hotel when we got there!!we couldn’t have breakfast in the place so they sent us across the street. When we were checking out they then advised us even though the room was booked for 2 people they had only priced us for 1 person getting their breakfast and that the other one should have been paying. They blamed Expedia on this. They also have held money on my card and even though I have paid the whole balance before I left this is still outstanding. This is not good enough and I won’t b using Expedia again or going anywhere near this hotel.

A lot of street noise all night - the worst I've ever experienced.
Hotel room minuscule - the shower door only opened about half way as the handbasin was in the way!
Restaurant was closed for refurbishment so had to go across the road to a cafe with a voucher that entitled you to only a very meagre breakfast.
I shan't be staying there again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night during our trip to Brussels. The hotel was in the perfect location: a less than ten minute walk to the Grand Place and dozens of cafes, stores, and chocolate shops. The room was clean and had two nice balconies which provided a nice view of the city. The hotel staff were all friendly and looked after our belongings when our room wasn't quite ready. There was no A/C in the room but there was a fan which cooled everything down to a comfortable temperature. Overall for the location (which was in my opinion perfect) and price I would certainly recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The hotel is lovely and in a really, really good location, very central to all that Brussels has to offer. It's very clean and all of the staff we came across were exceptionally pleasant and super-helpful.
The staff are a credit to the hotel.
We had a room facing the road, and as other reviews point out, it does get a little noisy, but what do you expect? You're in the heart of a beautiful European capital city. Buy some earplugs if you must and relax.
Dozens of great bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets within 2 minutes walk. If I go back, I'd definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very well located and reasonably good considering the price. However, even though it’s a non smoking hotel, my room was smelling like cigarettes. The first time I complained, instead of trying to listen to my complain and fix it, the immediate response was: “I don’t fell/smell anything.” I insisted as the smell was quite bothersome and I was offered another room (the next day). The next room was better in terms of the smell and comfort, however, there was construction going on in the hotel outside my door during the day, and all night long, there was a very very loud nightclub music that did not let me sleep. Also, the internet was not working for the entire last day of my stay which was difficult since my husband and I had to get some work done.

Went to see Stereophonics at the AB venue in Brussels. Chose this hotel because of its centralised location. Exceeded expectations. Brilliant location for exploring the City only 12 min walk from Brussels Central Station via Grand Place. Pleased we Took a taxi from train station to hotel as the hotel frontage is not very obvious to the newcomer however we discovered that we could easily reach the station by foot. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was self service and continental. the hotel was very close to many of the tourist attractions and also the shops and bars. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We requested more pillows and this was no problem and there is a luggage room to store luggage after check out. Which was great for us.

All in Walking Distance

You can walk to almost everything from this hotel. It can be a little noisy on weekends if your room is facing the street. Metro stops are near by if you are going to the European Parliament, for example.

Amazing location - steps from the Grand Place (could even see it out our window!)

We were very disappointed that a large group of highschool kids were staying at the hotel the same time as us. They would run around the halls late at night, crowd and block the entrance to the small lobby - the staff was not apologetic when we brought up our concerns - very disappointed with that.

Nice hotel, a few things need to know before.

Very nice hotel, just a few steps are restaurants, bars, shopping stores, public transportation.... love the location, nice room size. The one think I looked before reserved it was the amenities (has A/C listed) . I couldn't believe I t has no air conditioner( had a tower fan). The tv volume was set at specific number by the hotel, it couldn't let me modify. I couldn't hear the tv show because all the music and people talking outside until 4am.

Perfect location - great value

Can't fault this hotel. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable and good price. We booked a twin room (no breakfast) and our plans involved coming back very late (early!) so it was a bonus to have a quiet room on the first floor facing the back which kept he room dark - and cool in the heat.
We arrived early but left luggage no problem (& all day the day we left).

You get what you pay for

you definitely get what you pay for - this is essentially a glorified hostel. No air conditioning, so we had to open the doors at night. Since the hotel is right in the city, it was extremely loud - highly recommend bringing earplugs. Wi-fi was very spotty but free. The television volume was not loud so hard to hear. Beds were not very comfortable and pillows were flat.

That being said, the price is VERY cheap, especially for the location (~5 min walk to the Grand Place). If you are looking for a budget hotel right in the city, this is your place.

The hotel reception has a rotten smell and the staff are okay but seemed uninterested. The room was small and the ceiling was slanted to there wasn't much room to stand up. The bathroom was tiny and the toilet was less a meter from my pillow and the door didn't shut fully to the bathroom so it wasn't the most pleasant. It's in a good area and is okay but wouldn't recommenced.

Very nice stay but room had heating turned right up on full before we arrived so was incredibly hot. Turned it down but hotel staff must have turned it back up the next day as it was boiling when we came back again that evening. Other than the heat it was a lovely hotel in a perfect location.

The receptionist were friendly,and helpful.Check in time is 3pm,if u arrive early and wanted to check in early u have to pay,but they let us check in at around 2pm when the room ready.Well,the cleaness have to improve as I can clearly see a hair on a NEW towel,bed sheets wasn't clean as well,I can see some dirt on it.And also the shower room design wasn't good cuz didn't have a shelve to let u put your own toiletries when u taking shower,no kettle provided in the room.Have to be careful when u close the shower room door or u bang the door on your finger and bleed like me.Overall was okay,have mention receptionists were friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel walking distance from Grand Palace.

If you want to stay in a budget hotel which is right next to the Grand Palace (5 mins walk), this is one of the best places to stay. The price is very reasonable for the location and the rooms are pretty decent. Of course, it is a no frills hotel but I'm guessing that if you're visiting Brussels as a tourist, you don't intend to spend too much time in the hotel. The bathroom was a little tight in our toom but that minor glitch aside, this is a very good option to stay in Brussels.

This hotel does exactly what it says it's going to do. Right in the heart of Brussels. 5 min walk to grand place and the mannekin pis. 15 min walk to museums. Great value for price. Tiny modern rooms with clean comfy bed and bathroom. If you are a traveler who loves to explore and needs a room to shower and sleep for cheap then this is the hotel for you. Rooms are right on the street so if you are a light sleeper some gel earplugs will ensure a good nights rest. Warm reception area with tvs that you can hang out in. Convenient, clean & great location.

Dansaert hotel was a lovely, very clean and modern space. Very good stay here. The hotel is in walking distance to everything you need. Great for travelling around. Pillows are slightly uncomfortable but other than that the hotel itself waa great. The rooms were spacious, modern design.

Good location

The hotel is well located, close to everything. The rooms are relatively updated and clean. But the common areas, corridors need some updating. The staff accommodated for early checkin. Overall, good deal for the location and price!

Convenient and comfortable but loud.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and was conveniently located near the city center, bars and shops. However, there was a great deal of construction noise in the mornings and afternoons and there was a good deal of noise from the nearby bars and restaurants at night. I would still recommend the hotel, as long as you have ear plugs.

Good Location

Stayed in a single room with a single bed, which was very small and had a tiny bathroom. However, the room was clean and modern. The location was great, only a few minutes walk to the Grand Place.

Budget hotel at center of Brussels

Overall nice hotel with ample amenities. The hotel staff is very friendly and provides you the best of service and will make your as comfortable as possible.
