Hotel is clean, good sized rooms and comfortable. It is in a busy shopping area but fairly easy to get around.

Unfortunately we had one morning with no hot water. These things happen but the hotel did not communicate with guests (or apologise) about the issue.

The curtains do not fit the windows so we had strobe effects from a shop display over the road all night. This isn’t isolated to our room as the others in our party in adjacent rooms also had the same issue. Reception said they would sort it after the first night … but nothing was done.

The room and communal areas were as pictured and all very clean. Beds were comfortable and we slept well. However, during our stay we were without hot water for a number of hours with no communication from the hotel on the issue, which was very frustrating. We also experienced some other problems, but they were dealt with quickly and professionally. Most of the staff we encountered were polite and friendly but there was some confusion re check in (we had to check in twice) which could have been handled better.

Great Hotel! The location of the hotel is central and right next to a metro station, so very well situated. The quality of the hotel was that of a 4*. The staff were very polite and helpful. We travelled as a family with children and friends and it the hotel was exactly what we needed to enjoy our trip to Brussels. We would definitely recommend and don’t forget to check out the roof terrace for the views.

Not what we expected!

We were referred to this hotel by a friend that lives in Brussels. Overall the hotel service & amenities were very good with the exception of the reception desk. They appear inexperienced and not customer oriented. Specifically, we showed up before normal check in time and they said they could assign a room for us at an extra 59€…we decided, of course, to wait in the lobby until 15:00. Also we booked a king bed room, but they changed it to Queen and would not change it back even with booking evidence.

The place is not in the best location. Lots of people in the back street that felt unsafe. Not the best neighborhood. The rooms look outdated (the sink and the shower cabin had a drainage issue), the internet doesn’t work in the rooms and the air conditioning is faulty.

Jonathan checked us in, and really we would not have had such a nice day in Brussels without his attention and advice. He helped us check in and was very hospitable, showing us on a map where we should go for food, drinks and places of interest. He is excellent and provided exactly the hospitality we needed as newbies to the city.

The room was standard, we felt the bed was too firm, though this is a preference.

Our actual room was great , but didn’t like the fact that I reserved this hotel around 2 months ago and I had agreed to pay at the hotel, when the hotel charged me they were asking for more than double the price i was not impressed !!! And when I asked for a taxi for the airport it was also double I therefore took an Uber. Nice hotel but robbery !! Would not recommend because of this !!!!!

This was a nice property but, when we arrived at almost 4:30 after traveling all day our room was not ready. We were told it would be 5 minutes but, it was 15 minutes. Check in was 3. That's not acceptable when we are paying a lot of money each day for the room.
We also had issues with our bathroom door not closing and my daughter was stuck in there for several minutes. We called to have it fixed but, it wasn't fixed properly so it never closed. The cleaning staff was very nice and brought us whatever we needed each day. The staff in the breakfast room were all very nice and the breakfast was excellent.

Our room was freezing- we couldn’t get the heat to work so they brought up portable heaters and blankets. The breakfast was great. Outside the hotel was a building next to them under construction and was dirty- but no fault of the hotel. I probably would not stay again.

Our favorite thing about this hotel was our city center location, as it was right in the middle of everything we could possibly need. We found an excellent food hall around the corner called Wolf with a wide range of affordable eating options. In previous reviews I noticed people complained about homeless people right outside the hotel. As someone who lives in Los Angeles and New York City this was the least of our issues. None of the homeless people bothered us at all. We didn’t feel unsafe, in the city itself but as normal the growing issues with Israel were a concern anywhere in Europe. We didn’t like the breakfast buffet very much, and we also didn’t like the attitude/rudeness of staff telling us to leave the breakfast dining area promptly as breakfast ended. That is unheard of for me. The male staff from front desk to doorman were exceptional and polite. The female staff, one in particular very unpleasant upon check in, we didn’t appreciate that after traveling a long day. A MAJOR issue we had was the gym access. The hotel offers 24/7 gym access, however, they failed to mention that it’s not their private gym. It’s the local neighborhood gym and guests such as myself are given access to this gym. I did not workout there because it was disgusting. Every local and their mother were there, with no space but even worse it smelled like feet. We wouldn’t stay here again. The hotel is far better on Expedia than in person. Reviews don’t quite match the experience.

We had a Junior Suite which I would have to rank as the most disappointing Junior Suite I have stayed in 20 years of travel. The lavatory reeked of stale urine like a public toilet. The shower could not have been smaller, a real elbow banger. I am very slim, but a larger person would not fit. The floors were fake wood laminate which I find cheap looking and unappealing. There was no luggage rack, so suitcases had to go onto the desk, but there was a empty space behind the TV the size of a closet with nothing at all. Plenty of space for a wardrobe or luggage racks, but there was simply nothing there. The location was at the fringe of center town with a lot of construction and many old empty buildings where homeless would sleep in the vestibules at night. On a bright note, beds were comfy and staff was impeccable and breakfast was nice. Lobby was also narrow and unimpressive. For the money spent, I wish I had chosen differently.

We stayed for 3 nights, the air conditioning was not working on first night.. we were not able to tolerate the heat keep coming out in our room, so on second night we request for room change .. the staff are very helpful and response quickly so we eventually changed to a room with air conditioning.

Our room did not have working air conditioning. We complained to the desk and they said a/c system had not been turned on. This seemed odd since there was air in public areas. They said to open the window. There was a karaoke place below us and there was noise into the wee hours and we were exhausted after 2 nights. Do not take a room on the rear side of the hotel as the pedestrian alley can be busy at night The room was darkly lit and had small pillows. This has made us never want to stay at this hotel chain again as we were lied to.

When my husband and I decided to return to Belgium for a second visit, we did not hesitate to stay at the NH Collection Brussels Centre once again. It is well located in an area with many restaurants and just a short walk to La Grande Place. The staff on both occasions were friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and we felt safe. The delicious buffet breakfast was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel again.

The Hotel is in excellent location at the heart of the city. Grand place/Grote Market is just 5-10 mins walk from the place. The staff at the reception is very friendly. However their sky bar at the top floor does not seem to have many option for dinner and more so as there are plethora of good restaurants outside.

We chose this property because it was convenient to the center of town. It's about 1 K from the train station and there is a metro right out the door. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful. Initially we were given a room with 1 bed and had requested 2 twin beds but this was rectified right away. The room was clean but very hot and the temperature could not be adjusted so we opened the windows (huge.. no screens or protective rail) so that we could sleep. The shower had good water pressure but did not get above warm in either the evening or the morning.

Overall the hotel was okay, rooms decent. Location not so great-seemed unsafe??! Before you book this hotel, be aware there is MAJOR CONSTRUCTION GOING ON AT THE HOTEL AND ON THE MAIN STREET IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL. Does not appear it will be done anytime soon. Waking up to jack hammering and ruckus at 6:00 am is not what you want on vacation! We had a 2nd floor room with a balcony near the street, it was \"SUPER NOISY.\" You can hear everything/everyone all around the hotel at \"all hours of the night\" screaming-yelling-fighting-banging on things. The homeless population seemed to surround the hotel. Had I known about the construction, I would never have booked this hotel. Management, highly recommend you make patrons aware there is construction in process-on going at your hotel. Posting this information on your website would be the courteous-right thing to do.

A gem in the city center

Perfect location. 3 churches close by, St Catherine, Nicholas and Finistere which is 3 minutes walk away. Shopping is literally downstairs. Several wonderful cafes at the side passages. Lifts comes fast. Atrium rooms are perfectly quiet albeit with poor views. We moved from a extremely noisy street view room. Front desks' manager Jonathan assisted perfectly. Fernando, the chirpy concierge manager made everything so complete. Best 4 star hotel award.

Our first night was difficult but the second night onwards was fabulous. As we were intercontinental travellers, the street side noise affected our rest. Jonathan and Fernando handled our situation with refined grace. The courtyard rooms were superb for time zone weary guest which we were. The metro station entrance is 10 metres away and restaurants and shoppers are practically downstairs. Truly a treasure in the heart of Brussels.

Good, but a few issues that need to be improved.

First off, there was scaffolding all over the hotel, fine as they need to refurbish the place, so no major complaints.
Secondly, we had to hang out til 4.30 before our room was ready, fine again, but don't say check in is at 3, as nobody wants to waste time in a hotel lobby.
Third, breakfast was good, nice selection, one thing though, you have a variety of loose tea leaves, yet no tea pot with leaf filters to put them in?? I mean what is that about??
Gym was very good.
Bed was a bit uncomfortable, a bit too hard, with massive pillows that I hate (how do people sleep on those things). Everything else in the room was good, and we had a nice view. Free Wifi was good as well.
They need a hotel bar/cafe restaurant when you want to lounge, not sure why they don't use upstairs in the lobby for that?
The Halloween deco was really nice.
Overall a nice hotel in the heart of Brussels, with really great staff, but need to do some tweaks to make it excellent.

I was shocked to see how terrible this place was. Dingy, dirty, smelly, shower didnt drain, toilet was stained, not nearly enough lighting in the room, tiles looked like they were moldy..

The facility smelled as well, the place was under significant construction out front so it was difficult to get in/around...terrible, terrible experience!

The location was great, close to everything, great breakfast, rooms were clean and attractive. There was no air conditioning and it was very hot and uncomfortable--we left the window open and the noise so loud and lights were bright on the outside you could not sleep so the 2 nights were not comfortable!
