The name IHG Grand Place suggests that the hotel is located in very close proximity to the Grand Place square. In fact it is a good 15 minute walk.

I had a chair in my room that was so disgustingly stained that I asked for it to be removed. As a young man I have always chosen Holiday Inn Express because I knew there would be no surprises. This place was definitely not the case!!!

Amazing location for visiting Brussels. So close to tourist attractions and all the dining options. Very close so several stops and stations. The room was modern and spacious. Breakfast included was tasty and had a pretty decent variety. Affordable pricing as well in the area. The only thing to note is there is no house cleaning on Sundays if you need your room cleaned everyday.

It could be the humidity or the AC, but the smell bothered me throughout my 2 night stay. Though the staff tried their best to help me and resolve, unfortunately the smell was still there.

The hotel is very good to access the nicer parts of Brussels quickly. However the hotel is on a corner very close the apartments opposite which was the view that we had from our room. The area was very noisy although that is not the fault of the hotel. The room itself was ok, there were stains on the carpets of our room but the room was clean. The beds were awful. We had two single beds and both of us did not sleep well at all, very soft and when you turned over it felt like you would roll off the bed. We had booked for 4 nights but left after 3. The hotel staff dealt with us satisfactorily but we didn't really ask anything or raise our issues with them.

Misleading to call it Holiday Inn Grand Place. Should be more accurately named Place Sainte Catherine. Make it clearer that the nearest Metro station is Le Broukere.
Staff very friendly, excellent and efficient breakfast system. Lovely coffee & fresh pastries. Very clean. Rooms very small but very well sound-proofed. Quiet at night. Excellent large walk-in shower. Ridiculously large chair which took up a whole corner of the room & made it impossible to walk round the bed. Would have appreciated a safe in the room.

If you travel with a car, it’s very hard to find parking spot on street to check in. Their only underground parking is so narrow to drive in. When you are in the underground parking, no card can’t go back to lobby.

Hotels was exceptionally clean and staff were friendly enough- however we requested 1 extra pillow as I hve trouble with my neck but the request was ignored, we were told one would be sent up and it never arrived, on questioning what happened we were told that ‘there most probably were none to spare’ but we could have been informed of this
The shower and bathroom again were very clean the only issue was the water pressure- it was extremely low.

Location was central, easy walk to shops, restaurants and train station. Our rooms were a good size but think this was because we had a corner room, others looked smaller. Only complaint was water pressure was poor. Breakfast had limited choices but was okay.

We have stayed in HolidayInn Express elsewhere before, so everything was as expected. Its about 5-10 min off the main streets and Grand Place, so its convenient, but also in a quiet area. Rooms are clean, comfy and had all usual amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fully buffet and has nice selection. Overall, we had a great stay.
