The best thing about the property is its history. The rooms are small and dated and if you like vintage it’s perfect. The hotel rooms were clean and the food was excellent. There is no housekeeping service, bathtubs are concave and could be dangerous, commodes don’t flush properly, there is no heat or air conditioning. The worst part is that the beautiful view in most of the windows especially those in the Promenade restaurant are filthy- I’m not sure they’ve ever been cleaned. The port holes in the rooms are almost as bad and in my room one didn’t even open. What a disappointment for the price of the room.

As seasoned cruisers we enjoyed our say on the QM. She’s an elegant lady. The staff was helpful and our suite was spotless. Our major concern stems from the alleged first class lounge, The Observation Bar. Patrons were allowed to scream and howler to their hearts content and at the cost of responsible parties. At another table, a patron was passed out in a chair! Really!!’ This was definitely unsettling. You must do better at managing your staff as well as your customers.

The rooms were just too cold. My inlaws had to move hotels because it was so cold and the showers were too difficult for my father in law to navigate. The hotel has such potential and though we were in a newly 'renovated' room, it had a 1990s feel still. Just seems a bit shabby for such a historic and beautiful ship. The step overs in the rooms should maybe be marked or evened out as they are a hazard. Nothing seems really clean. Walls have marks and chips from either the top down to the bottom, frayed carpet, inside closets are dirty and old. Just wasn't worth the price and we got them a different hotel after two nights. I've stayed here before and found it a bit worn down. For the parking, no food included this was a bit dear.

However, there are few outlets and they are so old the plugs fall out. Free standing sink in bathroom with no counter space. Breakfast is very expensive. Parking is high. $35/night. I would not stay here again.

I tried to cancel the room through Hotels.com app and I wasn’t able to. I tried to call the Hotel to cancel the room I was sent to a central booking and every time they transfer me and never went to the ship. I never got the room canceled and I got charged. I’ve been a member of Hotels.com for many years and I’ve never had a problem. I only rent rooms through this app, but after this experience, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I don’t like not being able to cancel my room due to errors in hotel.com app system and not being able to contact anybody at the queen Mary to cancel it there either. Not a good experience at all. I was in town for the Long Beach, Grand Prix and this actually ruined it.

Ubers were quick for pick ups and the water taxi was a great option to get to the restaurants across the water. The staff was kind and helpful. The ship and the room are lovely. Very fun to stay on board and you can wander a lot of the ship without paying for a tour, which is very nice. The only reason I took off a star is that the walls are SO thin. They warn you about this, but it's REAL. Definitely ask for a fan on check in- you will need the white noise. They really should just have them or a white noise machine in every room. When you're woken up by the person in the next room at 11pm, 12:30am and 2:30am (no joke), you won't want to then walk down the hall to the desk to get one. Just have them in the room already! I would stay there again, but I would definitely get a fan first thing.

I like that they let you walk around with your drink while you explore. The bed was actually very comfortable. And understandablly, the bathroom was the only thing that was hard to hack due to it being so old. Just was very disappointed on the customer service practically every where we went. The observation bar was cool, got ignored when we sat at a table so just went to sit at the bar. Gift shops just got stared at not greeted. Chowder house the hostess didn't say one word to us as she sat us down. The view was good, and the fish and chips were good. Wish there was less people at our graveyard tour but host and tour were cool. Besides not great service, Glad I got to experience the ship. There was a leak out side out bedroom pouring in a bucket hope it can hold up longer.

Date of stay April 11, 2026. The ship was beautiful and the bed comfortable. Employees were very nice and welcoming. Dinner at the Chelsea's Chowder House is WAY OVER PRICED! The food was horrible. Terrible taste. Paid $155 for 2 dinners and an appetizer. It was so dissappinting. I would not recommend that restaurant. Thats our only complaint.

We had a wonderful stay on the Queen Mary. All of the staff were awesome. Rooms are exactly what they were when boat docked permanently in Long Beach in 1967. Don’t expect any upgrades, but that is the charm of staying in the hotel. The best part was the entire boat is a museum, everywhere you walked there was an exhibit. The bar was fun to hang out and have cocktails and apps. Breakfast was an option of buffet or order off menu. If you are a history lover, definitely stay the night at the Queen Mary,

UPON ARRIVAL THE STAFF APPEARED STARTLED AT CHECK IN, THEN MY ROOM/CABIN WAS RUSTIC WITH OLD DIRTY CARPET AND BATHROOM FLOOR NEEDED CLEANING ESPECIALLY BEHIND THE TOILET AND IN THE TUB. I’ll start by saying the staff is super friendly, the room was very spacious with two queen beds. Queen Mary is almost a hundred years old and the hall ways, rooms and other areas show a lot of wear. We had breakfast in the Promenade which was $29 per person for the buffet. Not bad. We paid the bill at the table. Our room for one night with taxes, fees, and parking was $370, but you get to explore the ship with that price. The elevators are a little confusing. Plenty of parking.

This is a really cool old place to stay. But, people need to remember that it is NOT a modern hotel. Some of the walls in between rooms are not very soundproof and there is little to no individual climate control.
If you're going, I recommend getting one of the bigger suites for privacy and comfort.

The employees at check in were nice and very helpful. The ship is very well maintained and clean. Staff is knowledgeable about the history of the ship. The biggest downfall was the temperature of our room. There is no heater. We complained that it was super cold and we were told that there is one control for a block of rooms and that it can not be turned off. We requested extra blankets which were promptly delivered. The air conditioner was blowing on us all night. While under the covers, it was warm but as soon as we got out of bed the goosebumps appeared. If you stay the night, be prepared to wear layers in your room.

So I went to the front desk to request such and after waiting for more than an hour, I had to go back and ask again. The daytime and nighttime staff were like night and day. Daytime staff super helpful and accommodating. Very great with customer service. Nighttime staff unfriendly, cold and slightly rude. I finally got those sheets delivered to the door, but I had to put them on myself. Not exactly what I was anticipating for a room that cost over $350 for one night. I liked the experience, but I probably won’t do it again.
