Upon checking in we received a very unfriendly welcome from the receptionist who was very unhelpful throughout our stay. Our room was set up for 2 people despite being booked for 3. It took over 1 hour for milk to be delivered to our room which the wrong item was then received (powdered milk) and the receptionist did not help/fix.

The toilet in the room had not been renovated and was very old fashioned compared to the rest of the room.

Moreover, the leisure centre receptionist could not give us towels for the pool due to a “shortage and the reception haven’t done anything about it” as well as the jacuzzi and sauna being out of order and the pool temperature not working with no communication of this given. Avoid.

The hotel is very well located and the rooms are big, however, the furniture is kind of outdated, the carpets are not very clean. The reception does not apply the same policy everytime and to everyone. I had 2 bookings, for the first one they asked me to pay a deposit of 100 Euros per night which they finally did not charge as I have paid the entire amount upfront. For the second booking they charged a deposit of 50 Euros per day even if I also paid in full upfront.

Several issues were raised w/the management during the stay. Primarily that the 'Executive Apartments' had bad ventilation in the halls and the apartment. The first apt shown to us was horribly run down. The second was only a little better. There was no airflow and we were advised to keep doors closed due to thefts. There was no 'housekeeping on demand' as sold in the property details. We only had housekeeping once in 5 nights despite asking for it 2 other times. The building smells of cooking. The halls are hot. The apt air conditioning did not go on, nor did the fan of the hvac. The beds were reasonably comfortable and the bedrooms and bathrooms were cleaned well during the one housekeeping visit. There was a handy man who had to come to fix a light switch that was busted - he was nice. There was another who brought a remote control as there were 2 tvs but only one remote. Overall, would stay somewhere else on our next visit.

I wish staff & service do better job. I booked this hotel few months in advance for family vacation with young kids and senior family members and requested for early checking due my early arrival and there wasn't any response from hotel which we've expected everything is all set. However the room was not ready when we've arrived and finally we was able to check in just few minutes before 4pm. I wish hotel staff is better handling client requested instead of silent then ignore.

The hotel was in a good location a block away from EU center. Plenty of restaurants close by. A 20 to 30 minute walk to the Grand Place. 15 minute walk to train station. Safe and quiet area.

I think that the hotel was a bit pricy for the service... The BB is average. The apartment haven't been cleaned during our stay. The swimming pool is a nice + but the water is cold. And what realy bother us is the error they made in their process payment : they make me pay twice and now I've to wait 10 days to get the problem solve on my bank account ^^

I was overcharged twice in the breakfast. For two days we olny went two of us to take breakfast on each day and they chrged me for three people on each day. I really hope they will review it and will return it back.

Also everyday elevator was broken.

First day almost at 9pm they came to prepare the sofa bed and this because we complained at the front desk.

I feel like my money was stolen in front of my face. Very unpleasant experience.

Much better than other reviews would lead you to believer. If you are traveling with a large family, this is a good property. It was clean and in good order. The apartment was mostly quiet although the party in the apartment above us made noise well past 2:00 in the morning. Two blocks from Luxembourg station, 20 min walk to Grand Place.

Carpet throughout and it is Dusty! No washing machine, just a smelly DW that barely worked. Biggest problem is, at the Marriot Apts you are treated like a second-class citizen, it is run by the Renaissance Hotel and they come first 100%. Walk outside to get to the hotel. Fire alarm goes off for 30 minutes, no one says a word, cant shut it off at the panel, they don't care, folks walking outside in their PJs and the hotel said nothing. No sharp knife in kitchen, asked 3 xs and just gave up. Parking: what a joke. I paid in full on arrival, 3 times it wouldn't open, making me late for work. Third time, I had to wait 23 Minutes to get out. World class gym is not world class, it is rusty and smelly with old equipment, pool can handle 4 people max. It is not in the same building, that building is owned by Thon apts, which are MUCH better, same money, clean new and with a washing machine in each room. Go with Thon, 1 block away. Marriot should revisit this, it is not worthy of their name.,

Comfortable base for Brussels visit

Very spacious apartment for family of 4. Very quiet. Had all we needed though decor was a bit dated. Some light switches were in weird places and heating couldn’t be changed.
Access to renaissance hotel pool and breakfast buffet were part of reason we booked. Decent pool, but annoying we had to bring towels from the room to use at pool. We had to ask for extra to use back at our room as those we used at the pool got totally soaked. Towels should really be provided in the pool/gym area.
Area very near European Parliament, ok area, very quiet at weekends.

very nice apartment in a very quiet area of Brussels Well equipped. Spacious. Very close to railway and metro train stations. Supermarkets, shops and eating choices plentiful within a 15 minute walk,
Lot of mold in the bathroom.

The good:

The location is excellent. The apartments are well-equipped and I had everything I needed. The gym, sauna and pool are an excellent bonus.

The bad:

The cleanliness could be improved - the apartment could use a deep clean to ensure corners, baseboards and vents are cleaned. My apartment was renovated except for the toilet which appeared to be from another era, so that’s a strange mix. Last, I believe I was placed in a smoking room and floor didn’t know these things still existed) and I could smell cigarette smoke from time to time. So be sure to ask for non-smoking.

Check in was a complete disaster. I asked for an early checkin. When that wasn’t possible, I was asked to come back at 3PM wherein they guaranteed me to have my room ready. The room wasn’t available until almost 4PM. After a long flight in and having a guest waiting in the lobby to check in for hours, I was disappointed that they weren’t able to meet their own promise. They also failed to initiate my internet so it was just another inconvenience right off the bat.

When I travel, I prefer to book rooms with a kitchen. The Executive Apartments had most of what I needed, in terms of kitchenware, and I loved the added living space (including a balcony) with a separate bedroom. The staff were extremely helpful when I couldn’t figure out how to use the stove.

Good apart hotel in a nice location

I stayed in a one bedrood room, with a queen bed and a sofa (two twin beds are not possible). The kitchen is equiped with basic utensils, good enough for preparing a quick breakfast or lunch. Location is very good if you plan to be in the european quartier.

Not sure how often the apartments were meant to be cleaned but it only happened once in five nights.

Signed for breakfast for two days before the price was revealed. It cost €75 a day for two coffees and three bowls of fruit. We stopped having breakfast after we found out the price as at €25 it was really bad value.

The apartments and location are superb, it's a pity we ended up with an extra €187 worth of extra expenditure with food and local taxes. For a five night stay I could have upgraded the accommodation for this cost.

There are some really negative reviews on this hotel and frankly having spent the weekend at the hotel, I cannot report a similar experience.
The room was super well equipped, modern and super clean.
The kitchen was remarkably well equipped and while the dishwasher wasn’t super new, it worked just fine.
The reception staff were super helpful and allowed us to have a late checkout.
The gym and pool are lovely as well.
The underground car park is large and the charge is actually very cheap.
The location is super close to the centre of Brussels, the EU buildings and the lovely Place Luxembourg with it’s lovely restaurants is just round the corner.

I would recommend this hotel to everybody- very much families looking for a central location to explore Bruxelles from.

We would go back.

Well located, excellent sized room, excellent shower, friendly staff. On the other hand the building is looking kind of old, smelling moldy. The balcony was very dirty, with many cigarette all over the floor and the table had leftovers from previous guests. Some of the dishes available in the kitchen were also filthy and had lipstick stains. It’s a good property but definitely needs someone to look after it.

This hotel is literally a stone throw from the European Parliament and is surrounded by good restaurants. You can catch a bus down the street from the hotel that will take you the center of the city. Loved our stay here.

This very nice building, next door to the Marriot Radisson, is one block from a grocery store, the Leopold place and two blocks to the EU Parliament. It has an entry hall, powder room (toilet and sink), living room with couch, chair, TV and coffee table, dining area with cabinet and table for eating on or working. Kitchen has everything needed to prepare small meals. Nice bedroom with nice linens, large white bathroom with tub and shower and everything was clean and in working order. There is a balcony off the living room that overlooks a quiet courtyard. A really terrific space at a fair price.

Fairly spacious, close to Bruxelles-Luxembourg station, nice to have a balcony and the main bed was comfortable - also had excellent black-out curtains.

However, the property was dirty and dated, the sofa was so gross we had to put a sheet on it before sitting down, and an impromptu ashtray had been left on the corner of on our balcony. The dishwasher was absolutlely falling apart and a constant battle to hold it together as we put on a load.

I think the worst bit is that they have a screen in the downstairs lobby cycling through the Marriott hotels elsewhere - reminding you of the comfort and quality that you thought you were buying into, but definitely not getting at this place.

Fabulous experience at Marriot

It was a fantastic stay in Brussels. We reached there around 9pm and greeted by staff well. The place is located at central location easily reachable by bus and metro at any time.
It is surrounded by many food joints and puds. Late night stores are also nearby and we got all required stuff just in 5-10min walk even at late night 10pm.
Place is well mentained and clean. Large living room, bedroom and spacious bathroom with bathtub abd shower. Kitchen is well equiped and patio balcony adds to the aminities with a pair of chairs and table.
There is one dressing area and extra toilet as well in room.

Stay is made more fabulous by additional free access to swimming pool, sauna and gym in nearby Rennaicence hotel.

A good experience overall. We enjoyed our stay with my wife and naughty 2 year daughter.

Overall, a nice place to stay. Area is pretty quiet on the weekends. Concierages were nice but not always totally accurate in their advice. Arthur, a trainee at the hotel, spoke very good English with a British accent and was very friendly - I thought he was from the UK but was actually from Mauritius. Fire alarms went off very easily - 3 times during my week stay there - and once, very early in the AM which was annoying. Nice room though with plenty of space and a living area as well. I would definitely stay there again.

Terrible Hotel Experience

When we arrived we had to walk to the next hotel over to register. Our room smelled old and the paint and carpet were terrible. The room did not look anything like the pictures on Expedia and it was awful experience. It was old and in very poor condition. Please do not stay at this hotel - it will ruin your holiday. It is a 2star hotel if that. I disliked everything about it.

Lovely week in Brussels

We stayed here for 5 nights with a last minute booking. It was perfect as we are vegetarians and so could cook for ourselves. The staff were exceptionally kind, and sent us a special gift of fruit and wine when they noticed it was my husband's 60th birthday. Transport was perfect to get to the many cafes and markets, even if they are not in the immediate vicinity, but if you are a walker, it is about 30 minutes. There is a good kebab place and a few cafes but most close on weekends. It is more a business area. But given the transport this should not deter. We plan to return.

A let-down for a Marriott brand.

Considering that this is a part of the Marriott group, one should expect better. Given that this is an 'apartment' and not a 'hotel' facility should not be an excuse.
Check-in and all staff interaction is with the Renaissance hotel nearby. We found ourselves trudging up and down the street, with luggage, in the rain.
The kitchen was not fully equipped, contrary to claims. There was basic cutlery but no teaspoons, 2 coffee mugs for a 2 bed room apartment and no coffee maker. A kettle was available however.

Great Hotel For Extended Stay! Great location!

I stayed at the Marriott Executive Suites while on a 10-day business trip to Brussels. The most memorable thing about this hotel is the friendliness and outstanding service of the staff from the front desk, the bell staff, housekeeping, restaurant. The suite is quite roomy with a desk, a lounge area, a queen-size bed, and a nice kitchen. The location is great. You are just 10 minutes away from the metro and surrounded by 2 supermarkets, restaurants, and stores. It is just a 15 minute-walk to the Porte de Namur shopping area. If you love to jog outdoors, the Parc du Cinquantenaire is just a short 5-minute run from your front door. I've stayed in 4-stars hotels in Brussels on previous trips this year and the Marriott is by far the best. I've already booked my next reservation there next month. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay all around!

Very charming apartment

The apartment was very charming and quiet. The one room apartment was well provided and well stacked with kitchen, mircowave, refrigerator, kettle etc and crockery.
Hot water and air conditioning were also great.
The location was also very walkable and peaceful and safe.

Comfortable apartment near European Parliament

Apartment was clean and comfortable. Good size for 2 to 4 adults with a large living room, bedroom and 2 bathrooms. Small kitchen area was adequately equipped unless you are planning on doing a lot of cooking. Only complaint was that the sink in the small bathroom was blocked.
Short walk to EU Parliament and metro station at Troon.
The apartment is situated in a quite area with a few restaurants nearby although some were closed throughout our stay.
Would definitely recommend the apartment to others

A good apartment with all the necessities

The apartments are conveniently located near the European parliament. There are plenty of places to eat and it has easy access to the city. Parking is available onsite (surcharge) and check-in and check-out happens in the hotel next door. We've experienced a few equipment malfunctions but overall, all the equipment are from good manufacturers and there is plenty of utensils, cutlery and glassware. Overall we are happy with the stay

A very comfortable stay

The apartment was very comfortable with all the usual mod cons you can expect from a Marriott. It is conveniently located near the European parliament. Onsite parking (with supplement) and you are supposed to checkin / checkout at the nearby Rennaissance hotel . A reasonable amount of TV channels are also available. However, the microwave and the room TV wasn't working in one of our apartments and you need to pay for WiFi.

Not the 5* treatment you expect from Marriott. Hidden charges on everything! No wi-fi in room, hotel lobby only. Although the location is fantastic! Everything is walking distance so.

Great location and room but no wifi in room?!

5 of us girls just returned from a long weekend trip to Brussels. We've never been and the location of the hotel was great. It was easy to get to from the metro and buses are nearby. Also it's about a 30 minute walk to anywhere, a very good way to see the city. You have to check in at the Renaissance Hotel next door to the Apartment which wasn't too big of an issue. I did get annoyed because we requested two rooms side by side and was told it would be fine but when we checked in we were split to two floors and was told it was impossible to move even though clearly there was no one next to our room the entire weekend. The staff were friendly, the concierges were knowledgeable and very helpful and so very patient! We asked so many questions and was assisted in every way. The only and the biggest issue is: No wifi in the rooms! You have to go to the lobby and the connection was very shoddy but it made life a lot more difficult as we couldn't use wifi to map out our trip. Wish they would change that, I mean who doesn't have wifi in hotel rooms these days?! Anyway, would still stay there again, next time with my husband and daughter, it is a great place for families!

Good location, friendly staff in the adjacent hotel and access to hotel facilities which are good. Perfect for a weekend away with a small family up to 2 children.

Nice apartment with good access to Brussels City

Conveniently located within easy reach of the city centre and all surrounding sites. Tube, train and bus all located minutes from hotel.

Would stay here again and was very reasonably priced. We stayed in the apartments, but had full access to the hotel facilities, which is next door.

Convenience will outweigh other considerations

A very conveniently located apartment near the European Quarters and about 10 minutes away from the fashionable Avenue Louise and downtown. The apartment's condition showed some wear and tear but the great gym + swimming pool with extended opening hours + really helpful staff members made made this stay a 5 out of 5 - will return again. If you are however looking for greater luxury, perhaps the hotel section will offer more of what you need.

Apartment as expected, staff great, restaurant not

The hotel staff were excellent, very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The apartment was as expected, and comfortable for 3 people. Great location - just round the corner from the European parliament and about a 15 minute walk to the centre.

Little niggles stopped this being an excellent rating - we booked for 3 people and had to phone to get bedding for the 3rd. Also the restaurant was disappointing, with limited menu (with items from it not available), hair in one of our dinners, and several mistakes with orders.

Overall though we were very pleased with the hotel.

The Marriott apartments are a great way to combine work with a leisurely weekend. The facilities are excellent and great restaurants nearby
