All was good, except for WiFi, though they had WiFi, they didn’t have secure WiFi acceptable to corporate VPN policies. Hence the only option was to connect to Ethernet when I needed to connect to work VPN. Staff was courteous and friendly, clean room and good location.

Hotel is nice but staff very unwelcoming. We arrived at 10 am after over 12 hours travel and asked to get our rooms earlier. Front Desk said there is nothing they can do and we have to wait till 3 pm, then 30 minutes later she said they can give us other room for few hours but will charge us \"Early check in fee\" 70 Euro. WHAT???? I never heard in my life such things, especially when you pay premium for 5 star hotel, I called Manager to complain with hope to find solution and she in the same \"Robotic\" manner with same \"Million Dollar\" smile told me that unfortunately they can't help me...
We also were hungry, went to their restaurant in hotel to take breakfast (at 10:40 am) and they told us restaurant is closed. Breakfast till 10:30 am only and lunch only after 12 pm. When we asked where can we eat the answer was \" I don't know\"
Hotel looks pretty clean and modern but don't expect any friendly welcoming approach by the staff. The attitude there is check in, check out and get lost...
I was in Brussels many times and there is so many great hotels in the area. I don't see myself coming to this hotel back again.

Amazing hotel in the business district. We stayed for a couples break in Brussels. Hotel and staff were all wonderful and helpful. Hotel is classic Sofitel. Location is on a small square with many local bars and resturants. Its around 30 minutes walk into the city centre.

The moment we walked in, I felt like royalty with superior best-in-class service. The Sofitel in Brussels is charming with a beautiful rooftop bar and indoor courtyard sitting area. It was extra special since we were awarded as “Guest of the Day” which made our first time visit to Brussels, Belgium that much special. Our room was close to the hotel elevator and facing the Jourdan Square. The hotel room is spacious and very clean and comfortable.

Wonderful hotel with amazing staff. Jose in the front desk. Benjamin in the concierge, Jimmy in the restaurant. more names that I can not remember. Certainly a wonderful hotel ! Hotel is not in the touristy zone, and more on European quarter, I would say more suited for business stay, but I was travelling with a 12 year old and it suited so well as it was slightly away from the Hussle and bustle of crowded parts. In front of hotel there is a square with good options for food and a Sunday market. Leopold opposing the hotel and wonderful stroll and must see in Brussels. We certainly loved staying here. Thank you!

Anthony, Restaurant Manager, was excellent.

Only issue on NYE was that I had called from the UK to book dinner and it was not communicated to the restaurant. On arrival, we were told that there was no booking but that they would fit us in.
I called again hours before the booking and was told by the same woman that the booking was confirmed.
When I went to the restaurant, again we were told that there was no booking on NYE but luckily Anthony fit us in.

I found this to be very unprofessional and incompetent on part of the woman who I had spoken to on the phone.

Luckily Anthony was excellent and gave us a nice table.

Great location and wonderfully hospitable staff that were very obliging. Particularly enjoyed the buffet breakfast which was exceptional. Sadly a few things didn't meet expectations: very poor wifi signal that regularly dropped out across multiple devices in multiple places in the hotel. The gym equipment was very limited and what was available was broken. Our rooms air conditioner was broken which meant we needed to move rooms. The staff were very good about this.

Staff were excellent, hotel is amazing, close ish to almost everything. It's mostly close to EU institutions though so you would have to walk a bit (30 mins) to get somewhere where you can do sightseeing and get good food. So really depends on what you are there for.

Excellent position, boring restaurants, and they tried to charge us 66 Euros for two breakfasts we did not have.
Housekeeping kept forgetting many of their tasks when servicing the room which is unexpected for a hotel in a big chain like Sofitel.

Our room reeked of mildew when we walked it. The translucent wall separating the shower from the bedroom was lined with black mold on the lower right corner. The room has seen some wear if you look a little closlely. Room 717. Didn't sleep all night on the mattress.

All you might want in a business trip

This hotel is best located of you are in Brussels for work. It gives you perfect access to business districts and also to lots of restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is super clean and comfortable, with a great tram of staff. They do all they can to make your stay as awesome as possible. In my last stay, they helped me get my covid test the night before my flight by reserving it, getting me the car and making sure everything is in order for me not to miss my flight due to forgetting the need for a covid test. Also, don’t forget trying their amazing massage / Spa and restaurant.

Front desk staff very helpful. But when they run off a ticket for a guest they may wish to note that there are 2 airports in Brussels. I thought there was only 1 and almost missed my plane and had to take a very expensive cab to Charlebois.

i stayed in this hotel from 31st of August to 3rd of September. Just checked out. First they give me room number 609. went into the room and found a cockroach right on the bed. went down they assigned me room no. 508. settled in and wanted to take a shower and go out, the cold water part of the shower does not work. Scalding water comes out the shower. Had to go out so just wiped myself with wet towel and left. Next morning I called the front desk and they sent somebody in to check. I was informed that nothing can be done today as it was sunday. they let me use room 510 for shower which was a connecting room. i take a shower and go out the manger or the person who came in tells me it will get fixed on monday. monday morning I take a shower in 510 and leave and I come back took a shower in 510. On 3rd morning i get up and tried to take a shower since I was checking out. thought the shower is fixed but it is not. I was not atleast informed about this. I stand under the shower and literally get burnt. call the front desk to ask if i can take shower in 510, was told it has been assigned. had to do with wiping my self down again. come down to check out they simply want to collect all their dues with just a sorry.
i stayed in here for 3 days moved once, took shower in other room, no shower on the last day the manager is not even there to deal with this issue. I want expedia to look into this and refund my hotel charges. had a miserable time at the hotel. t]

An exceptional experience...

I spent 3 says at the Sofitel Brussels while on business from Canada, and I must say that as a seasoned traveler, it was an exceptional experience. The hotel personnel, at all levels, were kind and informative. The breakfast was delicious (the coffee excellent). My room looked onto the square in front of the hotel, helping me capture the culture of this cute Brussels neighbourhood. Moreover, it was a short distance to some of Brussels amazing parks for someone who likes to run. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel.

Beds are to die for however there was a stain on the bedding and housekeeping still didn’t change it upon cleaning the room. Loverly hotel but very expensive for food and beverages there so we didn’t even bother trying it. Location is good, was a shame there was a lot of road works outside the hotel but that can’t be helped by the hotel. Overall nice hotel, would stay again for a city break.

Hidden gem!

Perfect location on Place Jourdan while visiting family. Easy walk to the metro and close proximity to beautiful Parc Leopold. While Place Jourdan is under reconstruction, the shops and cafes are open and busy. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Great hotel, clean hotel room, and convenient location. Would definitely recommend the Sofitel when coming to Brussels. Perhaps the only downside is that it’s somewhat far from the Midi station. Take a taxi if you have lots of stuff. If not, take the metro and you’ll be there in about 20 minutes.

Stayed here with my mother for a vacation. The service was excellent, staff was friendly and the room was kept very clean. Hotel was rather far from the main tourist attractions but the location was very safe and there was a nearby strip of restaurants and a grocery store. Would stay here again.

Truly excellent stay. Very friendly staff, very comfortable and modern room with good amenities, like a Nespresso machine and a steam shower. We also enjoyed the hamam in the basement and the roof deck. Close to a couple nice parks, right in the center of all the EU buildings, and a pleasant 30 min walk the Grande Place. Would highly recommend.

Very classy hotel with extremely helpful staff.

Really made us feel nothing was too much trouble: travelling alone with young baby - it was super convenient. They tried to book a room near to where my sister was staying in the hotel, these were full so they offered me a free upgrade. Right in the city centre, with a little supermarket and a pharmacy on the square and fridge in the room. Inside the hotel it was surprisingly quiet and the air con was a boon on such a hot weekend! They also had a gym etc. Will stay again!

Great luxury hotel in a key location

I had a fantastic experience! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are as luxurious as the name Sofitel conjures. I was concerned about the construction on the Place Jourdan, but I didn't hear a peep. I had a lovely time and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel doesn't offer an airport shuttle. Also at the time of this review there was construction going on outside the hotel causing a bit of chaos with the passing traffic.
