The location is great, it's very close to a Metro. It is just walking distance from everything and the Park across the steet was lovely.

The room was nice, clean and spacious, the tub was a bit uncomfortable for me to have a shower in due to its narrow shape but the bathroom was also spacious. The breakfast was okay the spread was nice.

What could have been better is the bed, it's very noisy.

I would recommend and also revisit.

The Best Western Plus has become my goto place to stay when I come to Brussels. It is in an old building with original features, the location is convenient close to restaurants, shopping and transportation although a (paid) parking space was made available for me. It has a good buffet breakfast and the staff are very friendly, it is clean and hospitable. I would recommend staying here!

Breakfast preparing facilities need to be proper.

The hotel claimed to provide an English breakfast for £20 however this was very poor. they don’t use a proper kitchen.
The practice rewarming pre-boiled eggs is very dangerous. I think this was responsible for my food poisoning!!!!

I will be staying again. Staff very welcoming and friendly, day time staff and night shift. I had a room at rear of hotel facing garden. It was so quiet that I could hardly hear the large music event in the park close by. Really enjoyed my room with comfortable bed and sheets, towels etc kindly refreshed everyday. One item I would like is a set of drawers for clothes, other than that perfect and really look forward to my next visit.

I enjoyed my stay. It's an older hotel that has been updated with most modern amenities. It's certainly not one of those cookie cutter places that look the same no matter what part of the world you are staying. It's not often you find an old marble fireplace in your room.

Decent small hotel but overpriced

This is a small hotel close to the European Parliament area of Brussels. Clearly they play on whether any events are on to hike their prices.
My room was spacious enough and reasonable well laid out if a little tired. There was parking for a few cars of street by the front door, at a cost of 25 Euro/day. Breakfast was also an additional 25 Euro, despite the rate being 225 Euro/night
The staff were friendly enough.
Overall a reasonable hotel but not worth 225 Euro/nigt

No complaints whatsoever. Room was a good size and comfortable, also good size bathroom. Quiet (ah, as long as you don't mind the occasional sound of the Brussels parakeet population in the morning - The hotel overlooks gardens at the rear :-)). Staff friendly and helpful. Location great and convenient for bus/tram/metro, also good cafes and restaurants nearby. Large park just across the road (Parc du Cinquantenaire).

Altogether very good quality.

This is a hotel of very good class, with professional and very friendly staff. It is located, as others have observed, next to the fairly huge and symbolically important Parc du Cinquantenaire, which also hides a massive free car park to which staff will point you. The self-parking is in the little driveway at the front and is pricey at €25/day. It is a brief walk to Mérode, with tube, trams and buses; so, very well connected. The room was spotless and had a nice view over the garden. I found it a bit hot at night (in a very cold January), but there was absolutely no intrusive noise. The shower was excellent. Breakfast is a fairish sort of Brussels price (€15) and is certainly good: I enjoyed using the machine to squeeze fresh oranges; and it was good to have a delicious hot breakfast as well as a very good range of breads and pastries and so on. Altogether very good quality, and at a remarkably reasonable price.

Convenient location, that's about it...

As you will see elsewhere, the location isconvenient but that's about it. Credit to the staff though, they were very helpful. There was a terrible smell of smoke in my room which seemed to be eminating from the bathroom so all the towels were very smoky. Room was small and tired. For the price, you can get much nicer hotels in central Brussels.

This is a truly excellent hotel: very close to metro station ( Merode) and served by buses and trams alike. Just on the doorstep of the beautiful Parc du Cinquantenaire, it is located in a very beautiful area of Bruxelles ands it is surrounded by lovely architectures and townscape, the nearby Rue de Tongres offers good shops, food and more.
My room was spacious and very clean, endowed with all modern comforts and with access to the Hotel garden , but I understand that all rooms have either a lovely view on the Parc du Cinquantenaire to front elevation or on the beautiful hotel garden to rear. Staff is discrete, polite and friendly, I'll surely go back, thank you Best Western!

Century-old hotel east of Brussels city center

This hotel is comfortable: everything works and staff is helpful. The room (a single-bed cheapie on weekends) was small but adequate. A peek into others showed them to be better and larger. The view from the room at the back of the hotel to the garden below was most pleasing. The hotel is fully accessible (no stairs if you use the elevator) but doorways into bathrooms are narrow.
The hotel has no restaurant, and few are in the neighborhood. Breakfast on Sunday morning was offered at 15 Euro, down from 25 on weekdays, but still was not good value (I walked in and looked but did not stay and buy--breakfast is not included in the normal room rates).

Lack of any available plug outlets in the room is bizarre in this age where everyone has at least a phone to charge, often several other things like laptops. Tea/coffee service had a kettle but no milk. A la carte breakfast overpriced for what it was.

Hotel in front of cinquentaine

No A.C and no fans either.. All they offered me was to open the door to let the air in. Nice modern bathroom. Very far from the airport.. About 8 mins in metro to central station. Overall nice location. Very friendly staff. I ended up cancelling my reservation for the rest of my stay and stayed in the hotel next to the airport .

We only stayed one night but the location was perfect! It was an easy walk to restaurants, grocery store, public transportation, museums, and park. The bed was extremely comfy and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Neighborhood Retreat

This hotel was in a neighborhood location away from the usually tourist location. One block to the nearest metro station. Very convenient and easy to ride. I enjoyed the evening stroll of the park right across from hotel to exercise. The room decor was somewhat dated and small. The bathroom tiles need some replacing. Most importantly there is NO air conditioner in the room so I had to have a fan brought in the room and open the window. The weather was perfect so I could do this ever evening. Perfect and safe for solo travelers.

Hotel is in a great location and is very quiet. Hotel itself is compact but nice and has everything. My single bed was too soft for me but that's a personal preference. Breakfast is 25 euro which is very pricey so I didn't have it. While they have a limited food menu it notes it's about 1 to 1.5 hours before you'll get your food. I might be wrong but I think other than breakfast, the food is just for room service. The one staff member I met was very friendly and helpful.

The bed was against the wall and was very awkward for two people and unconformable to two people. We did not opt for the breakfast since it was 25 euros per person, which we thought was quite much, and there wasn't any other options.
The neighborhood is really nice, to walk around and close to the metro.

Nice hotel , but a fair distance from downtown.

The staff was professional and friendly but the hotel is over rated. The building itself is over a hundred years old and there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling when I arrived. It was repaired in a timely fashion but disappointing that it went previously unobserved. The room itself was small by North American standards and very expensive for just one week.

The hotel was dated, but nice. Beds were very comfortable. Nice hotel, but next time we'll stay closer to the Grand Plaza as this one is about a 20 minute cab ride away. Nice that it is not far from the tube. Only a 10 minute ride from Brussels Central tube station.

Quiet niet in Brussels in a nice period hotel. Rooms are nice and big but starts to be old. Bed was composed of two one size beds which was okay but less comfty that expected. Breakfast was disapointing with few options only.. Disapointing for a 4**** -- A city tax of €7.50 was not included in the booking..

Nice hotel close to the city centre

We've stayed in the hotel for 5 days, the cleanliness of the hotel is amazing and I was really pleased with housekeeping service. However, don't stay from the street site when is hot outside and you need to have your window open for whole time, it can be really loud even in the middle of the night. Also, I was missing a kettle in the room, when you are staying for such a long time you are thriving for cup of tea or coffe and not only one of a day. But overall everything was perfect and definitely I would recomend this hotel.

Nice hotel in great location near the metro. The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom could have been cleaner but was acceptable standard. When we asked for an extra towel they were very quick. Receptionist were efficient even though not very approachable.
We didn't try any food at the hotel as there is so many restaurants and coffee shops nearby like the Le Pain Quotidien and brasserie merode.
We will book again this hotel when we are back in Brussels. Friendly country with friendly people and majority speak well English.

Who is rating these hotels?

No AC! ive stayed in Marriotts all over the world some for $89 a night, this hotel is no were near a 4 star rating, not close. it might be a 2, might. the bathtube is european if its about 16\" high if your older its hard to get in and out of and im not older. the shower is inside the tub so your in trouble plus its slippery, no no slip on the bottom. the room is sticky on hot nights.. many other stuff but i'm not going to wast my time talking about it, i stayed at a friends place of 2 of the nights i payed for this place.

Everything about the hotel was great except for they had no air conditioning in the rooms or anywhere else. The hotel room was always hot where you couldn't even sleep at night. It was a long two weeks of no sleep and the heat in the room was unbearable to stay in.

I enjoyed my stay at the Park Hotel. However, there is a park across the street and there are concerts held there in the summer. The disco-style music was on until about midnight and made it tough to sleep without earplugs.

Perfect location beside the park

This hotel is in a very pleasing building in a residential area but close to a metro and two fantastic museums. Breakfast was not included in our deal so we had to go out. It looked tempting. The dining room is a beautiful room looking onto the garden. Unfortunately this was the only way to access the garden and the door was mostly closed, thus discouraging people from using it. The garden was very pleasant, a touch of countryside in the city!

More attention to details

I enjoyed my stay in the Park Hotel but it would have been even more enjoyable if the lighting in my room (801) had been fully working. It was not essential because of the timing of my stay, but it would not have been possible to work in my room if I had needed to. Does anyone check that evreything is working properly?

Very pleasant hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service good. The location is very pleasant, it is next to the Jubelpark. We did not eat in the hotel but there are a few brasseries nearby as well as local shops etc around the corner, and the Marode Metro station is a minute or two away. One of our party found parking for a few days close to the park.

This hotel is located within a distinguished residential area facing the city's grandest and historic park. Very pleasant staff. It's nice to get out of the hotel towers. There are several excellent value restaurants nearby (e.g., Carpe Diem).

quiet old luxury hotel, next to great Cinquantenaire Park, healthy venue

If you need to attend meetings at Beaulieu or Schuman, or if you wish to visit 3 museums nearby (city of Brussels, auto world, air and army), with the best ice cream cafe 'Capoue' and some cozy brasseries in the area, this is for you.
Runners and walkers will enjoy the immediate vicinity of the Jubilee (Cinquantenaire) Park, a precious green space of Brussels only second to Woluwe Park.
I enjoyed a large well decorated (art nouveau) room with a balcony on the park side.
SLeeping there was unique, everything so quiet, as on the countryside, with no animal noise though...

The halogen lamp was out of order, and the LCD HDTV displayed analogue blurred programmes, but that's part of the charming 'caractere' of this old palace.
The breakfast was included, and taken in a room with a view to a nice back garden.
Many of the other guests were welll dressed lobbyists and diplomats. A classy but cozy atmosphere.

Enjoy it too!

Best Western Premier Parkhotel Brussels

I found this hotel very nice for the price. We had a nice large room on the front over looking the park. It was clean and bright although we were there on a hot weekend and there was no air-con but we just opened the windows. Breakfast was average for this type of hotel. The Metro and bus are nearby but we walked into the centre (about 30 mins). Some nice restuarants nearby. Overall I was pleased with our stay there.

Notre chambre était très propre ainsi que la salle de bain et les toilettes. On sent que l'hotel n'est pas récent, mais tout est vraiment propre et bien tenu. Nous avions une jolie vue sur le parc. Très sympa la bouteille d'eau offerte à l'arrivée.

L’hôtel est un peu vieillissant et mériterai quelques travaux surtout dans la salle de bain. La chambre est confortable et spacieuse. Propre dans son ensemble mais dans la salle de bain : des traces de moisissures étaient présentes. Attention au parking annoncé : c’est un micro parking de 3 places à raison de 25€/jour. La personne qui nous a reçu pour le Check out était peu aimable également
