Room was not cleaned during my stay

Stayed there for 2 nights and my room was not cleaned or made up during my stay despite me putting the “Please clean the room” card on the door handle.

Parking is a little complex when you forst arrive requires better sign posts or ones that are well lit. Check in staff were quite laid back for Ramada experience.
Didnt feel a connection to the hotel however the staff next day were much happier and interactive.

AC unit was not working and telephone was dead. Engineer fixed that. Overall 5/10 was expecting much more from Ramada.

We had a very pleasant stay at Ramada while visiting Brussels in November. It’s a short 20minute commute from the airport. There is also a bus stop right in front of the hotel which makes travel in and around easy. Reception staff was very friendly with Mr Muhammed who received us very kindly explaining how to get around in Brussels via public transport and arranging a cab for us for early next morning. The room was adequate but bit small but as we were spending most of the time outdoors was not an issue. Breakfast was nice with a decent spread and very friendly staff. There are shops and markets within walking distance and nice areas to go for a walk close to the hotel. Overall had a great stay at Ramada.

The problem is the property is located walking distance to nothing. If you don't have a car, don't stay there. You can't even get a cup of coffee from a corner store without 20 min walk.

Staff handling of free breakfast was a disaster- We were practically \"chased\" away from the breakfast area and told it was not set up for us on our first day!. 2 different breakfast areas was set up, and one area practically had all empty serving trays. We attempted to go to the other area and was chased away and made to put back the fruit we tried to take. Later after another guest confronted a staff member and we got the manager, they apologized for the confusion. The area where there were empty trays was for the \"free\" breakfast and those of us who paid was supposed to be ushered into the area where there was an abundance of food. It was addressed and we were received very positively by the dining room staff following this incident.
There was the second matter of asking for a wake up call. we asked 3 days in a row. Only ONE day was a call received. One out of 3 is pretty unreliable service!

The hotel was very nice. We ordered adjoining rooms through Expedia, but somehow the request was separated and our family of five was placed on the first and fourth floors. I protested and they fixed the problem (we were placed on the fourth floor in rooms next to each other but not connecting). The restaurant seemed to have a nice but very expensive menu. We ordered pizza (but not with their phone at a cost of 2 Euros a minute). The gym needs a make-over (in a dank basement). Make sure that you have tickets for the bus if you travel with kids from the hotel as they require each passenger to pay with a credit or bank card. The staff were very kind in ordering us a taxi from the hotel to the airport. However, we did not get a wake-up call for each room the following morning (so do not rely on that as a back-up); when we let them know, the attendant told us that the previous staff did not leave him a note. Taxi ride to the airport was swift and easy (about a 10 minute ride).

I think the staff's friendliness and hospitality was the property's winning point; the smiles were genuine, and they seem to get along and respect each other too. Besides that, there was a bus stop right outside the hotel and both directions had connections to the city center. The only negative point to the property (and that is just for me) is that the local TV channels were unavailable. I don't watch TV at home and like to indulge when I travel. Anyway, great place to stay if one wants to have access to the city, but not be downtown.

We had to unfortunately cancel our trip short. Ended up on stayin 1 night of our 4 night trip.. the person at reception said we could pay for just that one night plus a cancelation fee and get the rest of our refund.. however 3 months on stil no refund. Having booked via expedia I spoke to thwm but they also said the hotel management declined my refund and said they have no record of such a think. Absolutely unprofessional
. The area around the hotel is also secluded unlike what their review says.

Nice clean property in good location close to airport. Staff friendly. Giving 4 stars only because they have a very awkward parking set up. It is just at the back of the hotel, but to get there it involves a 4km for several blocks and on a stretch of highway to get there. Set your google map pointer to the back of the hotel and that will ne easier for check in if you are driving. Also, they have a very confusing set up for the lights: you have to out your key card in a slot by the door, then walk in to turn on a master switch beside the bed, then you can go back to the front door to turn on the hall light? Probably a good energy saver, but not sure how much of that relates to people just dealing with the darkness...lol

Let me try to summarize:
1) We were in a triple room and only got 2 set of towels;
2) One of the days they didn't make up the room. We left at 9 am and returned at 6 pm to find it in a mess. We asked for at least clean towels and it took them 2 hours (!) and some very angry feedbacks to get them;
3) The irons (available at each floor) were all damaged. One of them ruined my shirt!
4) We had to wait for almost one hour to checkin. The staff is not sufficient to cope with the demand.

So, all in all, I don't recommend it. Stay away from this hotel!

Before me staying in this hotel I was worried (as the reviews score was around 3.5) but once there I can say that everything was perfect, the room was spotless, clean and safe, the staff (especially.at the restaurant) were super friendly and hospitable, the hotel is really big and spacious, I would definitely comeback.

Grumpy and cold staff - lacking warmth

The staff here are strange to say the least. It seems they don't want to be there. Grumpy on front desk. Lacking basic knowledge. Very poor impression for guests on their arrival.

The hotel itself lacks soul and life. Partly because of the grumpy, almost robot-like staff. Partly because the hotel is trying too hard to appear chic and modern. Instead it is overly cold, clinical and lacking any personality.

Finally, we were clearly promised a room with 3 beds and a sofa bed. But given 2 single beds + sofa bed. How do we sleep 2 adults and 2 children on this? Front desk response was a cold \"that's how it is\".

Nice room and reception area. Great food in the restaurant and great breakfast. Very helpful staff.
Some of the furniture in the room and in the restaurant was quite tatty and worn out.
To accees the hotel car park, you need to drive about 2 miles to get to the rear of the hotel. Its best to get the address of the rear car park, and use this in your sat-nav.

The hotel wasn’t bad. The room was actually quite big and nice. Their restaurant was good though breakfast could be better.
Their reception staff need to change their attitude. Last evening before I wanted to settle the bill as I was checking out early morning. Samir from reception asked why now when he’s so busy... I then asked to add my company details on the bill. He’s reply was: please be patient. I’m not a robot. I suggest some customer care training.

Not too happy about this stay!

The room was sooo hot, very difficult to get a good nights sleep. The air conditioning wouldn't work ... no outlets on one side of the room made it frustrating to try to charge any and all electronics needed for the following day of travels back to the USA. We joked that this room felt like an old conference room, that was made into a guest room after the fact. Overall the beds and sofa bed were very uncomfortable. Honestly just glad that it was only 1 night. Oh and the shower had no light, basically showering in the pitch black ... Will not stay at this hotel again.

On arriving, receptionist gave minimal information without warmth or a welcoming smile. Confusing directions given on where the room was located. We had to return to the reception to ask how to operate the lights as we were not told the card had to be used. We asked about WiFi and were told a code was on the card but it was not. Problems with the heater/air conditioner in the bedroom as it was noisy throughout the night and could not find a way to switch it off. When I checked out I was charged for taxes although my information was that they were included in the price. The hotel was generally clean, although I found some shavings left on the sink around the taps. Comfortable bed and plenty of space in the room.

The bathroom ceiling had a bad leak... as a result the lights/hairdryer in the bathroom stopped working. The stuff fixed the lights but the leak started again the next day and so the lights of the room also went off...
There was no kettle for tea/coffee - my kids take warm water - had to run to the dinning room to get the water every time...

It would help if the hotel website told people that there is a different route to the car park as there is not even any stopping at the main entrance! The hotel in its self is a very basic hotel that gives you no extras, not even tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I have stayed in this chain of hotel in an obscure place in Turkey and got more!

All fine. Only remark is that the hotel is in a mainly residential/business area with no obvious facilities in the immediate area (5-10 minute walk) which forces you to use the restaurant in the hotel. The hotel restaurant is fine but people may bear this in mind if having a long stay.

Nice hotel but VERY hard to find.

There is a need for more road signs to the hotel or directional arrows. The hotel was hard to get to even with a sat nav and one of the streets had a huge concave hole in it. Used only by buses. An instructions MAP on the web page that can be printed would have been a Huge help.

This hotel really exceeded my expectation - I booked the wrong date and the frontdesk was kind enough to let me stay without extra charge, and gave me a super huge room while letting me check in before 2pm. Room is no less than some of the 5 star hotels I've been in. Highly recommend if you come with a car (or it'll take about 40 min to get into the city which is not too bad).

NOTHING TO RECOMMED IT - read my review!

We chose because the web site listed laundry facilities, and airport shuttle. I called from the airport to find out how to get the airport shuttle and was told they didn't have one. I asked if I could then cancel the booking because we needed the shuttle and was told no. We rented a car and drove there but found only street parking. The person at the desk was impatient and unclear about how to get to the parking lot but stated it could take over 15 more minutes because of closed streets. We parked on the street. Checking in I asked \"where are the laundry facilities\" and was told they didn't have any! Again I asked to have reservation canceled and they refused. The manager said laundry and shuttle isn't listed on the website - but they both are! The room had poor linens, old saggy twin beds. The halls are dark, gray and narrow. Their dining room looked OK. A second manager came to our room to see if he could resolve our concerns. I suggested he comp us dinner or cancel and refund our stay. He said no and suggested a few places about a $30 taxi ride away and offered us breakfast. It was late enough we just stayed and walked to he nearest dining out of the hotel, a 15 minute walk. We walked just to get out of there! It did feel like a safe area and breakfast was OK. The rude attitude and incorrect information was unacceptable! We travel often and I am pretty easy to please. But this was way below Ramada standards WE WILL Not be going to another Ramada.

Nice hotel, good location for drivers

The main appeal of this hotel was how close it is to the E40 and to the Ring Road that circles Brussels. It is very easy to get to from the E40, so if you are driving then it is worth considering for that alone.

The room I was in was very nice. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The decor in the room was modern and stylish and there was a lot of space for my belongings.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is situated directly in front of a bus stop with a bus that takes you into Brussels. I did not use this myself so I cannot say how long the journey takes.

In the area of Brussels with not many other hotels and close to the airport, it is rather convenient for a day or two of business meetings to save the travel time. Staff is mostly nice and helpful. Would not stay there unless pressed, though. Overpriced.

I couldn't get onto WiFi, whatever time of day I tried the message was that it was unavailable and to try again later.
There was no in-room tea and coffee making facility, only a machine in the foyer delivering poor quality beverages.
The only light snacks available were also from a machine - the bar could not provide sandwiches, only full meals.
The breakfast was horrendously expensive.
The shower kept changing temperature, first scalding then freezing, then scalding again.

The bad bits:
The location of this hotel is next to some very ugly blocks of flats and a motorway.

The room we had smelt strongly of cigarettes, the beds were very saggy and the bathroom was dingy especially in the shower which is black tiles, black floor with black shower curtain..! There were also two power cuts during our stay for about 10 minutes each.

The room had a kitchen but the microwave didn't have the dish to put things on and there are literally no plates, cutlery, cups, pans etc to make use of it.

There are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room.

The ok bits:
There is a coffee/tea machine in the lobby but you have to ask reception for a token or you pay 1 euro per cup. This is not mentioned anywhere so we ended up paying a couple of times before we saw someone else asking at reception.

You have to ask reception to borrow plates, cups etc and then go to the restaurant to get them. This is also not mentioned anywhere.

The good bits:
There is a supermarket (carrefour) about a 5 minute walk from the hotel (Which sells Belgium beers much cheaper than in town (~1 euro each as opposed to 3-5euro each) and a number of bars and restaurants. A particularly good restaurant was Chez Anesti (Greek) and a particularity bad one next door to it (Mediterranean).

There is Free parking outside the front of the hotel.

Overall:
Its OK if you don't plan to spend any time at the hotel and just use it as a base to drive into Brussels or elsewhere.

Very basic. No tea or coffee in the room or any where to get free tea or coffee. Bar's idea of a cappuccino is black coffee with whipped cream on?! The gym has a few broken machines and no where to get water. There are boxes for used towels but no towels on offer. The bedroom was freezing and the aircon took ages to try and heat up the room. The bathroom has no light near the shower so was like showering in the dark. The breakfast on offer was atrocious for 19 euros. Also the wifi constantly cut out so you had to keep logging in. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

GPS could scarcely find the hotel because of dead end and blocked streets. Staff gave us wrong directions to the Airport. No coffee available in room, lobby or lounge until 6 pm. Parking is extra and not notated on web site. No bathtub. Over rated and over priced.

Good value hotel near Brussels airport

Hotel is a good value. As hotels near Brussels airport are concerned it is relatively inexpensive. The rooms are reasonably spacious and very nicely furnished. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Location is fairly good and easy to access (when you follow the directions on the website). Parking is available - outside for free and inside for a not-too-unreasonable fee.

We booked on line and paid ahead of time for a 2 twin bed room which was all that was available at the time we booked. What we got was a large room with 3 twin beds and a large bathroom! The price was very reasonable. The A/C was a little noisy but otherwise a very comfortable room. Our problems started when the lady at the desk said there was no shuttle to and from the airport, as was described on the their description on hotel.com or by previous guests. We booked a taxi for 4:45am the next day. They took our credit card info even though she acknowledged we had already paid for the room, a charge that we knew had already come thru on our credit card. She said this was in case we damaged the room! The next morning as we met the taxi driver in the lobby the man behind the desk requested payment for the room. We explained that the bill had already been paid. He brought someone else out who looked something up and declared that we indeed still owed for tbe room. No amount of explaining made sense to them and we needed to get to the airport. My husband in frustration stated that we were leaving and they could take it up with hotels.com. By the time we arrived ed in London the hotel had charged our credit card for the room. We have disputed the double charge to our card with the credit card company and are waiting to hear how this will be resolved. Interestingly enough the second charge was approx $5 cheaper than what hotels.com charged me when reserved tbe room initially. On our eay out the door to the taxi we also noted what appeared to be a shuttle bus parked near the entrance. The trip by taxi to the airport is 35 euros.

Hotel near Brussels Airport

We were traveling back to Brussels from Berlin late in the day on December 25th to get a flight back to the U.S. on December 26th. We were very tired and the front desk staff was very welcoming. He upgraded us to a suite because it was Christmas! The room and hotel are very nice and the location is excellent for the BRU airport. I highly recommend this property if you want to be close to the airport.

Great Hotel at a reasonable price

Following a technical problem with lack of hot water on our last stay we were offered a free upgrade to an executive room this time. The accommodation was excellent as were the room service and breakfast. The staff our very pleasant and helpful.This is a great hotel, conveniently situated and we have no hesitation in returning.

OK if you don't mind being away from the centre

A nice modern hotel with well appointed rooms but in the middle of nowhere. There is a bus that stops virtually outside the hotel, and if you know the public transport system in Brussels, then it is reasonably straightforward to get to the centre in about 30 minutes. There are no restaurants or bars in the immediate vicinity, but there are some about a 10 minute walk away if you search for them.

One side of the hotel faces onto a busy highway, and the noise might disturb some.

For price of room i expected complimentary tea/coffee supplied, there was nothing !!!

Close to Airport

But if you are staying longer than 1 night (as I did) there is absolutely no where to go in the neighbourhood. The staff are friendly and once I'd worked out the bus routes it was convenient for getting to and from the office - but if you wanted to go for a drink or meal somewhere within walking distance there was absolutely nothing. Clean, motel like and if you are staying for one night then perfectly adequate.

Very uncooperative reception staff

Don't expect much from the hotel, no mini fridge in the room. Hot water can be barely called warm. Room was not well cleaned.
The receipt ion staff were VERY uncooperative: we had some tech problems in the room and called the reception who promised to send the maintenance/technician to fix the problem, during our entire stay (3 nights) this technician never showed up.
We called the hotel before we arrive to ask about the car parking, the hotel staff confirmed that car parking is free for hotel's guests. When we checked in, the denied it and made us pay for the car parking!!!!!
However, the room is big if you look for a spacious room.
NB: make sure to put one of the 2 signs on the door before you go to sleep (DND or plz clean my room) cuz if there is no sign, you will find the room service over your head at 6am.

Non-central location, otherwise nice enough

Lovely room, very new modern hotel. It's not very convenient location-wise, most places in Brussels are close to a metro and/or good buses etc and I prefer this. They do have the option to park so if you are taking a car this is a good option. Staff are fairly useless, restaurant involves a wait for anything you might need, even if it's empty! I challenge you to ask the reception staff a question they CAN answer :-)

The cleaning staff and the restaurant did a good job. The staff at the front desk could not help with basic questions about the hotel operation-example-they couldn't help with dialing out of the hotel-it was not presented corrctly on the phone in the room. The lady at the front desk was more interseted in smoking and checking her phone for text messages. I never fill these out and travel on a regular basis around the Globe. The ladies at the front desk where very rude in general-I will not be styaing there again.

Worst Customer Service ever experienced

Staff was least bothered about the guests. In the whole checkin checkout process the desk staff didnt even bother to look up and smile at the guest not expected any conversation.
I do not recommend anyone this hotel as the staff attitude sucks

I booked an executive room.
Hotel was not easy to find even with GPS
he air conditioning had broken and was very cold.
The bed linen was stained.
The room was not very clean.
Advised the reception, who were disinterersted.
I would not recommend this hotel.

good, modern, comfortable hotel

I took a taxi from central Brussels (near Grand Place) to get here. Taxi took around 10 mins & cost 15 Euro, which I thought was quite reasonable. Hotel reception was fine, very helpful member of staff who gave me directions for the morning. I had a twin room on the ground floor, decoration was modern and comfortable, looked like new. Bathroom was also very good with great shower. Bed was very comfy, slept very well. I was going to the Expo in the morning so took the bus from directly outside the hotel. this went to the metro station where I then took the metro with 1 change to the expo. In total this took about 1 hour due mainly to traffic when on the bus. very good hotel, not bad location if you're not too bothered about being directly in the centre.

Restaurant poor value for money and no ambiance. Like a canteen. Table service slow.

Front desk helpful.

Room TV impossible to operate, and cannot visit bathroom at night without putting all lights on in the room and waking others up.

Personnel très agréable mais l’entretien laisse à désirer.
La porte de la salle de bain ne fermait pas bien et si on forçait, le chambranle se détachait ! La planche du haut est d’ailleurs tombée.
Tâches de moisissures sur le rideau de douche.

Das Bad war unsauber und voller Schimmel, das Zimmer hatte nur 1 Stuhl, sonst nichts, Kofferablage sowie Türen und Zargen waren kaputt. Obwohl lt Internet in jedes Zimmer vorhanden sein sollte fehlte die Möglichkeit sich ein Kaffe zu kochen und 24/7 Zimmerservice fehlte weil Bar und Restaurant (im Haus) einen externen Betreiber hat und der ab 22.00 schliesst. Der Parkplatz ist hinter dem Haus aber um dahin zu kommen ist ein Umweg von ca. 7 km notwendig. Eine Info darüber und wie man dahin kommt wurde uns vom Empfang verschwiegen (\"das weiß doch jeder der hierhin kommt\" und \"ich hab keinen Führerschein, ich komme mit dem Bus\").
Trotz freundlich entgegen gebrachte Verständnisäußerungen gab es keine Lösungen bzw Kompensation
