Had a very pleasant stay. The staff were amazing and so helpful. The rooms were clean as was the lobby and the restaurant. Would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn Schuman.

Great Location for the Price

Decent Hotel for the price. It is in a nice location near the metro station (3-minute walk) and the European Union (3-minute walk). They have only 6 parking spots, so don't be fooled by the statement \"parking available\". I got there around 4 pm, and all parking spots were taken. I had to park on the street. The street parking app would not let me sign up with USA phone number. Only European phone numbers can be used. But the receptionist helped me to purchase a pass from the street parking machine (which was in the native language and I was not able to navigate). As I am an IHG member, I requested late checkout. They said they entered, but the next day, when I went to my room, the keys did not work. The new receptionist said that it was not entered in the system.

Definitely a wonderful place to stay

We had a great stay. Close to Metro station and restaurants. Hotel was nice, clean and comfortable bed. Food was good, enjoyed their coffee at breakfast time. Also delicious waffles. Hotel staff were very friendly, happy to help and make you feel welcome.

We had a lovely stay. Everything was clean and orderly. We had a King room with a bath tub and walk out deck. Loved the deck even though it was uncomfortable smelling all the smoke from other outdoor sitters. The tub was lovely, however, it made the shower quite uncomfortable, sadly. Don't recommend paying extra for the tub unless you don't plan on using the shower.

I rarely leave a feedback. But I had an experience which is above and beyond and deserves praise. My dad and I stayed with Holiday Inn Brussels Schuman in September of 2024. My dad became ill and spent two afternoons in the hospital. The staff was so extremely supportive and helpful. The manager, Dominic went out of his way to ensure my dad was comfortable and I had what I needed to care for him. The team at the front desk; Hilda, Jed and Stefania were there to answer any questions and help as needed. The breakfast staff, which included Michaela helped to ensure my dad was well fed and nourished. These guys made a hotel a home. I do highly recommend staying here and with this team of experts. Thank you for making a possible difficult time, so much easier and memorable.

In general, this hotel condition good and is very close the underground rail and convenience to travel other area in Brussels but no view from the hotel room.
However, the parking bay only 7 available and unable provide me in the first day.
Suggest arrive in hotel before 10:00 see if there is any visitor check-out or later than 20:00 as free parking outside of hotel.

The young man at reception was nice enough to let us check in several hours early, however he didn’t actually check us in!! So at 10 pm someone tried to get into our room, they had a key and was able to open our door (lucky we had the lock bar on). When we went down to reception to see why this happened we just were told that their computer said we never arrived. We didn’t get an apology or any other sort of compensation. I get it mistakes happen, but a sorry would have been nice. I also opted to pay for breakfast at the hotel as we had an early flight and were tired, again the young man on reception was kind enough to book this for us, and again, there’s a downside! Because of the language barrier I couldn’t quite understand what he said, and we were charged €42 for a simple breakfast. He handed us the receipt and that was all, we later found out he charged a fee on top of the normal breakfast, which was not reflected in the receipt given. We had already paid €50 for the room, and an additional €42 for an unknown fee/breakfast. My advice to anyone checking in is to know French or make sure you ask enough questions. We weren’t given any clarity and it made the stay quite uncomfortable and scary, but truly what made our stay the worst was not a single staff member talked to us about their mistakes or apologised.

Blood stained in sheets.

Hotel is quite a bit far from the main plaza, you have to take the metro. Breakfast is $16 euros p/p which seems expensive compared to other places. I got free drinks per stay, however it's confusing as they said it based per stay. I had 3 different reservationsI and enjoyed different Belgium beers every night. Because of the blood stained in my sheets I will never stay in this place again, it reflects the lack of compromise with health standards.

Issues with on-site parking promised. First room claimed a double bed but was 2 singles pushed together (with a hair on them). They did allow us to change room so that was ok.

Room was quite small and stuffy (window locks and poor air conditioning) but otherwise average comfort as you would expect.

I often travel to Brussels for work, but will not review a hotel unless I think it was particularly good, or represented good value - this is my first review of a hotel in Brussels. This hotel was cheaper than many others nearby. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The bedroom was clean, warm and comfortable, with everything that I needed (ironing board, kettle etc). The dining room/bar was relaxing and unpretentious with good food - menu was brief and fairly priced. Very happy with this hotel and will definitely use it regularly from now on.

This hotel was modern and comfortable with the right amount of family friendly and trendy. Our room was very clean. The bathroom did have some mold in the shower, but otherwise everything looked and felt spotless. The staff were a bit overwhelmed but very nice. The breakfast is excellent and worth every penny!

My stay was quite pleasant, no complaints about the cleanliness or comfort of the property, a few niggles were, only one cup in a twin room, upon asking for two cups there was no more coffee left.
and on our last day, air conditioning works started at 7am without notice, quite disturbing.

The hotel is very well located but staff could be better. At 2h pm my room was still not clean. The staff at breakfast inquires your room number without salutating you and do not even date to have other meals there it takes to long and you will be eating frozen precooked food. Becore I only had work stays for medrincas at Brussels and I thought thisbhotel was ok, but not for pleasure travel. Very pour service for the money.

Great quality hotel at a reasonable price

The Hotel is away from the centre, but right next to the Metro with easy access to all areas of Brussels.

My room was bright, modern and clean with a bay window overlooking the street. Whilst not overly luxurious the room was very comfortable a reasonable size.

I didn't use the restaurant, but the desk staff were very courteous and knowledgeable.

The hotel was lovely, inside and out. Very clean, lovely décor and friendly staff. I found breakfast was too expensive so we chose not to have this. The location was good as long as you are happy using the buses and metro as it is not centrally located in the most popular area, although there are still things to do! Very good location for the bus to and from the airport! We were slightly let down by a noisy neighbour on our second night who was banging on our door at 4am in the morning. We did try to call reception staff to sort this out but nobody was answering. We informed reception in the morning and they did apologise and refunded our night stay. We were very let down by this as the hotel was lovely apart from this!

An excellent choice.

Holiday Inn Schuman was an excellent choice for first time travellers to Brussels. The Metro is very close by, there is a beautiful park within walking distance and the accomadation is very comfortable. Staff were superb, nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast selection was just amazing.

Never again. Disappointed at the service and reaction of staff at the fact that the air conditioner in my room was faulty. All I got was sorry about that but it's not my fault. Seriously, is that the service one is to expect for the money I paid. I had to change my room in the middle of the night. Pack my stuff, and go downstairs in my pjs for the key of the new room because the night receptionist didn't even come up with the key. What a joke of a hotel!

The hotel is very convenient for meetings in the EU quarter. It was the cheapest I found for this trip, but still quite pricy for a rather basic room. The tv remote was not working, but a new one was delivered promptly. The advert says fitness centre. There is no gym in the hotel. They have an agreement with a fitness centre in the neighborhood. Since I have lived in this neighborhood previously I was acquainted with the location and rules for this gym. Otherwise I think I would have been a bit disappointed with the solution.

The desk staff are rude. The breakfast is set up late (so you don't actually have the hot part of the breakfast) and then they accuse you of not having paid for it even though you were on a list and had to sign it before you even had breakfast (and even though it was not set up so you missed most of it). Then, while they are stopping you from leaving because they are having an argument with you over whether you paid for breakfast or not (when you did and made sure of this with a different staff person prior to having breakfast), they are making you late for your bus to the airport so that you might miss your plane. Rude, completely inappropriate, careless about their behavior, and inconsiderate. They do not understand the concept of graciousness or how to treat a paying guest (even one that paid the whole bill in advance). Just a disaster.

To make matters worse, when I asked for a quiet room, they put me in a tiny room near the elevator.

Modern hotel down the street from EC

This hotel has a clientele that is split between business people for the European Commission offices and vacationers. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are modern and clean with a coffee service and mini fridge in the room. A relatively small number of rooms on each floor but about 8 stories high, so the elevator is busy at breakfast time. The business people eat early and check out, the others can enjoy a more leisurely meal. A pretty wide selection of food for breakfast. The hotel is on the Leopold Park side of Shuman Station and a little away from the restaurant area but still only a short walk for dinner or drinks. Lots of breakfast and lunch only places in immediate area for EU staff but very dead at night. Usually very easy to get downtown via Metro or to the airport with #12 bus. The area was closed down one day for an EC ministers meeting while we were there which made getting around a little difficult. Definitely a hotel to use again when the EC is not in session.
