Free airport shuttle service was fantastic, thank you! The guy working the check-in desk clearly had zero training on customer service and was uninterested in my business. He changed my room assignment last minute from the third floor to the basement for no apparent reason. The room was dated and appeared like nobody had slept there for months.

I appreciate the reliability of the Sun Hotel’s shuttle service whisking you from the airport to a comfortable room after a long day’s travel. The breakfast the next morning, some time in the fitness room and a swim in the pool was everything I needed to be ready to continue my trip.

I had arranged airport shuttle for our late arrival. When we came out with our bags there was an unmanned counter for Sun Hotel that had a sign with our name. We were instructed to call the number and the van arrived in 5 minutes. I was expecting to be greeted by someone, but this worked. It is so close to airport and great for a stopover.

We did arrange to take the shuttle back to the airport the next day, but it left a half hour late. The hotel desk person apologized, but the stated reason of heavy traffic was not evident to us. Fortunately, we had built in enough time that it did not make us late for our flight.

One of the ground floor rooms had an external door that wouldn’t lock. Over the phone the staff didn’t understand the problem. When I went to reception, I put the issue into Google translate, straight away the staff offered to change the room and move the luggage.
The rooms were spacious, however a lack of carpets etc meant that a noise in a room can be heard in many of the surrounding rooms.

Transfer service was waiting for us at the airport. They load, unload, and take your luggage all the way to your room. The staff at the hotel has all of our paperwork ready and check in was a breeze. The property itself is beautiful and very convenient if flying into VVI. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the rooms were huge and all had balconies overlooking the magnificent pool. The staff was attentive. We loved our stay.

Tried repeatedly to set up a ride with the airport shuttle but the property never responded to me so I had to take a taxi. I chose this hotel because they offered the airport shuttle. The bed was comfortable and room was clean, but the hairdryer was smoking when I turned it on and looked as if it might be burning, so was unable to use that. Was woken up by fireworks that sounded like they were going off at the pool right by my room at like 0800, followed by loud chanting/celebrating, not sure what was going on. Wasn’t informed of any amenities or breakfast on arrival, the lady at the desk did t know any English so the language barrier may have been the problem there. Was able to take the airport shuttle in the morning.

The main perk of this property is its proximity to Santa Cruz airport, and the free shuttle is very good. Our stay was limited to 10pm to 5am so we couldn't benefit from the free breakfast or the pool, which looked nice. Rooms were cavernous and had a balcony door that didn't lock. Free coffee in the morning didn't come out of the container and there were no cups or milk/sugar etc. Receptionists seemed a bit confused. But for an overnight stay when you have a connection at VVI, this is a great choice. For other kinds of stays, I can't comment.

This is a 2 or 3 start hotel. Property has the basics. In a plain room I had a bed, desk, sofa, TV and a dresser. Shower and towels...very poor condition. Shuttle to the airport in time but very dirty. Checked in took for ever. Front desk agent couldn’t find my reservation and after some time she made a call to the owner that confirmed I had all good.

Booked hotel for hotel be night due to proximity to airport. The room and bathroom were spacious, comfortable and clean! Breakfast (included in room price) was tasty and offered many options. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. It was too hot to enjoy pool and extensive grounds, but they looked great from our air conditioned room.

A good hotel for overnight stay.
The hotel is the most nearby from the ViruViru airport. Just 5 minutes by car. For an overnight stay is perfect, I would probably would not stay for vacations as the hotel is located in highway. Dinner was good, service nice and they pick/drop you from aiport.
Bedroom was really big, it felt even empty although all commodities were available. The only thing is that the bathroom had mold on the ceiling growing...not very nice to see.
