Our superior family room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable pull out and main bed. Only complaint about the room was there was no conditioner and the shampoo was terrible. Breakfast was OUTSTANDING. So many choices!! Overall a great stay.

This hotel was a great value and had a lot of character. We enjoyed our room because it was extremely spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and even upgraded our room because we asked for a large bed. I think this hotel has everything if you're looking for a good value place to stay with a little bit of character and in a great location. I would stay there again.

Fantastic hotel with very courteous staff! We were close to the Christmas markets, which is why we were there. We were especially surprised to see that the sofa bed that my son used was made and ready for sleep when we arrived later in the evening from a day of exploring! This is the level of service from this hotel! My only criticism is that we were charge an extra 30 Euro for arriving early even though our room was ready. I still give it 5 stars!

We had a lovely long weekend at this hotel. Lovely neighbourhood and a short walk from both Eurostar and also up to Metro Louisa. The superior room was great, as we had the large sofa bed for our teenage daughter too. Great time.

We had a lovely stay! The breakfast was outstanding - especially the potatoes, chia pudding, and huge amount of freshly baked choices! The hotel is big but staff were always friendly and helpful. Our room was bigger than it looked in photos and although a great, well connected location it was quiet in the hotel at night. Well maintained and well equipped, nice eco friendly additions.

The breakfast was really good and the room was great too, especially the shower and the bed.
Just a few things; we reported that the light in the shower did not switch off at any given time, therefore it was on straight for days and nights, to our surprise this was not fixed after reporting, the hotel mentions that they have a green policy, so this did not match. Another thing was that we sent a message to the hotel 4 days in advance however they did not respond until I asked again, now I understand that the reception can be busy so this was not my issue, the issue was that we never got a response on our question, when we arrived to the hotel, nobody wanted to help with our question, no pro-activity whatsoever, I am really sorry if the question was difficult, but it was where we would be able to watch F1. It was first on the next day when we insisted for them to help us with it that they decided to call a sports bar which confirmed that they were showing the game. Very disappointing and it truly felt we were not cared for - if we had known the answer, we would never have asked. Service was way below average and not what you would be expecting from a 4 star hotel.

Lovely large room, but AC didn't seem too strong. Breakfast is excellent - great choices, fresh food/salmon, clean and well maintained despite buffet style. Service is great - we checked out an hour later which was helpful. Great location - easy walking to several areas, and local restaurants were all fabulous. Enjoyed our stay overall.

We loved this place. We booked the Superior room and they upgraded us to the Deluxe room with sauna. Having our own sauna was great. The rooms are huge, nicely furnished with plenty of storage space, great bathroom, beautiful view. The hotel is well maintained. Personnel is very attentive, they have sweet treats for guests every afternoon. The area is a little away from the Grand Place, about a 20 min walk to the Palace, Museums and Park, but the location is great, all the best stores are walking distance and there's plenty of good restaurants nearby. The tram stops in front of the hotel and the metro is a couple of blocks away. We definitively recommend the place and will go back to it if we return to Brussels.

Reception was very welcoming. Room was very luxurious with even a spa, which is not in all rooms though. Well laid out and excellent choice for breakfast. The hotel is within walking distance of the tube station and also the main tourist area, the grand place. A few convenience stores nearby too. Would highly recommend this.

the hotel is walking distance 35 mins from the Brussels center, so we take public transportation like tram, bus and metro for the connection to other places.
the hotel is not new but big rooms, clean as it is.
the lighting does not bright enough with table lamps.
the staff is helpful for changing the bulb as the hanging lamp did not work.
parking security is high, need to use the ticket to get in and out.

This was a larger hotel and was fine for the night we spent there. It was in an interesting neighborhood that had some high end shopping but was really close to some sketchier areas as well. We had to walk fairly long distances to get to most of the popular sights. Overall it was fine and I don't have anything bad to say about it. The finishes were also odd and pretty dated.

The customer service and attitude received was really terrible, with mixed messages, slow, if any, responses and suggestions that due to booking through a third party such as hotel.com. Really poor experience

My wife and I stayed at the Thon Hotel in Brussels while attending a wedding, and unfortunately, we left feeling more exhausted than when we arrived, due to persistent disturbances from housekeeping.

Despite placing a “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door each morning, housekeeping knocked repeatedly and even called our room phone to ask if we wanted cleaning service. Then proceeded to bang their vacuum against our door. This happened every day of our stay, making it impossible for us to sleep in and rest up for the evening events we were attending.

On the fifth day, we stepped out of our room and politely asked housekeeping in the hallway for two fresh towels. The response was unexpectedly rude, we were told “no” because a €5 bar voucher had already been placed under our door. We explained that we didn’t want or use the vouchers, and after not taking no for an answer (we needed new towels), a second staff member reluctantly handed over towels.

This was not the level of hospitality we expected. We’ve stayed in many hotels and have never had to complain about service before, but this experience left us disappointed. Based on this, we don’t plan to return to the Thon Hotel.

Our room’s bathroom’s glass door was also broken and didn’t close. Room 32.

My wife and I stayed at the Thon Hotel for a week and felt exhausted every morning. We have never had to leave a hotel with a complaint before.

House keeping was ridiculous. We left the “Do Not Disturb” card on the door and they proceed to wake us up every morning by either knocking, and/or calling us on the phone to ask if we needed our room clean. We were here for a wedding and had late nights, to where we needed to sleep in for the next evening of events. We could never sleep in all because of housekeeping. Upon that, housekeeping would consistently bang their vacuums against our door, as well.

Lastly, about 5 mornings in, we had opened our door to housekeeping in the hallway. We asked if we could get new towels and the first woman just flat out told us “No” because they had already slipped some €5 voucher for their bar, under our door. We told them we didn’t want the vouchers (never used them) and the second housekeeping person in the hall reluctantly gave us new towels.

There are more stories of annoyance from Housekeeping, but these are the major events that left us unhappy.

We are not fans of this hotel and won’t be returning.

Lovely rooms, we were even upgraded, and one had a sauna!

Attentive staff both at reception and also in the bar and restaurant.

Car parking nice and easy which was a concern for me beforehand.

The not so good:

The room booked for 3 people did not have the sofa bed already made up, nor linen for me to do it myself.

The shower tray/screen leaked badly and flooded the bathroom floor just inside the door, which was tiled. Hazardous.

We love this hotel. We came here for family trip and stayed with room for 4. Very spacious room with sauna which I recommend. Also, its location is convenient with many prime shops nearby. It also has a car park (though it is a bit narrow if you drive a big car). Highly recommend for family!

Close to the train station and buses and a 5min walk to the tram network. 15-20min walk to the Cathedral Notre Dame and 5-10min from the Old Town.
A huge amount of eating establishments close by and within 10-15 walk. There is also a couple of supermarkets close by to.
The room was great with a huge bathroom. One of the few hotels we used over a month that actually had a bar fridge. Bed was comfy and great pillows.

A pleasant surprise

A very pleasant surprise, a much better stay than expected. Room was large and spacious, and clean. Good amenities and a very comfortable stay. Bathrooms could be upgraded to include a walk in shower, that would be my only gripe.
Hotel located in a good area, with lots of food nearby. Métro is a 10min walk away, gets you to the main places. Tram was close by but we didn’t have time to use them.
