Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable.
My room was on the basemrnt, down a fairly steep stairway. The stzircarpet was in very bad condition, threadbare and full of holes. I didn't feel it was safe. Fortunatley there was a lift. We didn't eat breakfast and wouldn't have done as food was left uncovered for hours.

We stayed in the bottom floor. They call the floor -1. I actually like it because there were only two rooms in the lowest floor. It was quite with access to a small yard. However, the carpet needs cleaning and the room decorations need to be updated. Despite of this, we have daily toiletries, clean sheets and beddings, and my bed was king size with extra twin bed.

Beautiful small and intimate hotel in Brussels. Location is excellent, close to many restaurants, shopping, banks, supermarkets, art galleries and antique stores. The staff is friendly, do not hesitate to ask if you have any issue.

Lovely hotel with fantastic staff. Quirky decoration (look up as you enter the first set of doors!). Gave us recommendations for our stay. Offered to clean on our first morning, even though we didn't put the \"please clean\" sign out. Check out the door names, we figured out they're all connected to the local/Belgian history and culture, I regret not asking about those we didn't recognise.

A very pleasant stay for 6 nights, in a single room. Comfortable bed, very little noise from neighbours. Informative and friendly staff, good shower, TV that showed the Euros 👍. I didn't take breakfast at the hotel but tea and coffee was replenished every morning in room and it was very clean, with decent shower. Plenty of cafés, bars and places to eat within walking distance. Close to Hora Museum and within 30-40 minutes of fine arts museum and other landmarks. 15 to 20 minutes from local metro and Brussels Midi station. A good, affordable place to stay.

Wasn't very clean at all, the rooms are run down and smell weird and just had an overal sense of lack in cleanliness / hygeine, they should invest in proper cleaning staff and ensuring the rooms smell all nice , fresh and disinfected. Apart from this the staff were nice and it could be a charming little boutique hotel if done right.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel with my mum, and we were both thoroughly impressed by our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and provided excellent customer service throughout our stay. Their warmth and helpfulness made us feel welcome and valued as guests.

The room was a highlight of our stay—it was impeccably clean and surprisingly spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable, offering me the best sleep I've had in a long time. This made our stay even more enjoyable and restful.

In addition to the fantastic accommodation, the hotel's location was very convenient. The trams were easy to use, and there were excellent transport links nearby, making it simple for us to explore the area without any hassle.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and couldn't be happier with our choice of hotel. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and conveniently located place to stay, complemented by a staff that truly goes above and beyond to ensure a great experience.

It was great.
Loved the tv with youtube access and the online guide to the english speaking channels.
Very friendly and helpful receptionists, they looked after my bag and I knew I could approach them with any questions.
Normal noise levels for a hotel i.e. some noise.
I wished as a woman they didnt read out my room number when i checked in, most other hotels have stopped doing this and just point to the number on your room card. Also i had the garden access room which was lovely but Id have preferred to be on a higher floor.
Very comfy bed.
Really ideal location.
Fun themed rooms, with enough light which is unusual for this decor.
Overall, I would highly reccomend Neufchatel hotel.

Small boutique hotel, more like a bed and breakfast than hotel. Reception staff polite enough, reception closes at 10pm. Lift is tiny and there's not much space between exiting the lift and the bedroom doors, which means we heard every person who used the lift, and someone loudly on their phone first thing in the morning immediately outside our door for a long time. Room was nicely decorated but dark, lots of lights but very dim. No window to open for fresh air which made it a bit claustrophobic. Bed was comfortable and shower was great, but shower could do with a shelf for toiletries. Coat hooks would also be useful.

The staff at the hotel are amazing - full marks, they alone would be enough to encourage me to come back and stay
. One or two small things are worth knowing the rooms are quite dark at night, there are several lights but they are all low wattage which leaves much of the room in shadow including shelves. It would be great if they included one really bright light as an option to illuminate the whole room, especially if like me you were using it for work, not the atmosphere. Some rooms are \"between\" lift floors, there are around 10 steps or so, but if that is an issue make sure you let them know.

There is a tram line about 2 minutes away and you can buy a day ticket at the stop for 8 euros per day. Whilst not especially close to the Grand Place or other sights, they are not difficult to get to

The room was in the basement, which was fine because it did have a small patio to the yard. The person at registration was very nice and explained everything clearly. They allowed me to check-in early which was extremely helpful. The room was mostly quiet except in the mornings after 7am when they would be preparing for breakfast. I didn't eat breakfast there as I was unsure of the price and also there was a great restaurant just up the road. I did also notice that the carpet had not been vacuumed which was disappointing. I chose the location based on the fact that it was fairly close to the train station, which wasn't too bad. Googles transportation suggestions were awkward at times, but that had nothing to do with the hotel. Overall I was pretty happy with the stay.

Unique and stylish deco with Audrey Hepburn theme, BUT very dark: basement room with dark brown walls. Unable to keep curtains open for a glimpse of daylight, as occupants from the next door room could see into the room from the patio outside the room - bit of a design flaw.
That said it was a cosy room, top quality bedding, very comfortable. Staff were very helpful.

Lovely Stay

I had a most enjoyable week-long stay in the Neufchatel Hotel and I can highly recommend it. The staff at reception are the best I have encountered anywhere! The decor is tasty and calm and the rooms clean and comfortable. I did appreciate it when the tasty buffet breakfast was augmented with a hot grill option; bacon, scrambled egg and sausage. It's nice to have a cuppa anytime during the day gratis at the lobby. Also drinks etc can be purchased at the desk. Being centrally located between Louise; shopping, Chatelin; dining, and Saint Gilles; markets, really suited my purposes and, I expect, most casual visitors. I will be returning with my wife in the near future.

My daughter was very impressed with the hotel. It was her first time travelling internationally and her luggage did not arrive with her so it was not an ideal situation. The front desk staff were so very helpful and supportive to her throughout her stay. A huge thank you to them! :)

One night in Brussels

Overnight stay to visit a friend. It’s a small hotel on a residential like street. Hotel is nicely laid out with a breakfast/ lounge area. Coffee, tea, fruit and biscuits (cookies) are available throughout the day so it was nice to have an afternoon cup of coffee after we checked in. They also have soft drinks and beer for purchase. The room was comfortable and themed. We had the “Audrey” room in the lower floor and it was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The hotel does have an elevator. They will hold luggage after check out. We were able to walk to the Sunday farmer’s and flea market. Would definitely stay again. Friendly service.

It is a small property however it is absolute value for money the location was bit difficult recommend to seek taxi for first timers and would best qualify as bed and breakfast type. The plus points neat and clean lobby minimilistic but quite relaxing. The room has the best washroom for its class quite large washroom adequate towels do not expect other than liquid soap among the toiletries the bed is comfortable with clean bed sheets the room has a small cupboard again something missing these days from bed and breakfast budget hotels

Nice spot in a quiet part of Brussels

Really nice small hotel in a quiet and secure part of Brussels. I enjoyed the proximity with metro Louise (about 8 min by foot) and from the Taverne Herman (3 min by foot-nice jazz evenings on Wenesday). There are a few restaurants and shop around as well.

The room was clean, although a bit small (had a simple bed) and the bathroom was also small but it is ideal for a person alone.
And I had AC which is always a plus.

Breakfeast is okay. Nothing fancy but enough until lunch.

Would definetly come again and recommand!:)

We got to the hotel late in the evening. It was raining & we were having a hard time finding a parking spot. The gentleman at reception helped us to locate a spot. Check-in was super easy. I just had to show my passport and sign the hotel form. The bed was very comfortable & our room was clean. Breakfast is included in the room reservation & it was delicious. The staff are very friendly, helpful & multi-lingual.

My partner and I booked relatively last minute and when we arrived we were so pleasantly surprised! The hotel has many sweet and quirky elements and the staff were wonderful. Very kind and helpful with planning our day in Brussels. The breakfast the next morning was wonderful as well.

Second stay. Its a great little place. But bad experience because placed in the basement room 3, which has damp issues meaning that breathing is difficult overnight. Avoid the basement rooms., Breakfast is still splendid and the service and general ambience very good.

Great little hotel value for money and great stafs

Others have reviewed the hotel as a bit quirky, which is correct, but I really enjoyed my 2 night stay and absolutely would come back again. The staff are delightful and very helpful. The hotel is close to tram and bus stops, but I didn't use them as everything is so close and Brussels is quite a small city. It took me 30 minutes to walk into town and I felt perfectly safe (57 yr old woman traveling alone). I even walked at 7pm from Gare du Midi and it was just fine. Don't expect high luxury or expensive fittings, but rest assured it is extremely good value for money.
Don't worry about what it says on the Hotels.com website - the reception is open through til midnight.

Location... conveniently located close to our friend's place, but accessible to any other place by public transportation in less than 1/2 hour (considering that Brussels is a quaint small city in comparison to Tokyo or any other place that requires car ownership to get to places).

The hotel is located on a side street and had very nice presentation. It is close to few food shops and a express supermarket. Public transport is close by and easy access into town. The room was a decent size as it was a triple room but the bathroom was too small with no lock. No views, no air conditioner, safe or mini fridge etc. Mediocre selection of food for breakfast. Lift was too small and sounded as if it will break down at anytime. However the staff (1 man & 1 women)were very pleasant and accommodating. Whether it was the residents or other guests at the hotel, people were genuinely polite and would greet one another as you walked past.

I loved the externals, internally decoration is so unique. You feel like walking into a theather, and then you open the door to your room and you want to spend the entire day slepping, windows open to let the air come in, and later on just step outside to the balcony. I would only recomend to place light curtains in case you want the sun to come in to your room and not have the neighbor looking at you from the building across the street.

Modern boutique hotel near Brussels City centre

Neufchatel is a modern, recently renovated boutique type hotel close to the centre of Brussels. The rooms are clean and comfortable although missing a couple of the usual hotel things (luggage stand, tissues). Unfortunately no breakfast was available on our first morning, and then there was a problem with our room after our second night, but the receptionist did offer to move us to another room straight away (although our second room didn't have air conditioning). The hotel were very apologetic and did offer us a small refund but this was \"limited because we had booked through Expedia\" (Expedia - suggest you investigate your refund policy?).

Highly recommended!

Exceeded our expectations and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful! Bilingual, too. Breakfast was delicious and consisted of cereals, cream puff, eclairs, assortment of breads, milk, coffee, juice... so delicious! Very safe area (mom traveling with two children) and warm community. I'd love to go back!!

Nice hotel

Close to tram stop however away from city center so takes awhile to get into Brussels. Breakfast was decent.

Very nice little hotel quite accessible

Hotel was very pleasant, only stayed one night but all straightforward, very clean and comfortable, all positive. Very good breakfast, nice bread, coffee etc just right. My room was very small but it had everything, TV etc. Charming staff. This is ideal for one-night or short-stay business (or other) travellers.

Excellent value

Stayed for 2 nights in a single room on the top floor - small room but had all the necessities. Rooms are themed, with quirky decorative touches. Excellent buffet breakfast and good wi-fi. Would definitely stay again.
Watch out for the city tax which is payable on checkout.

Nothing too much bother

The staff were fantastic. I dropped my bag off at 10:00, on my way to a meeting, before I checked in. They gave me coffee free while I worked in the foyer. The second morning, a business colleague from another hotel joined me for a breakfast meeting and they wouldn't charge. Very hospitable.
