The person at check-in was too busy looking at their phone to acknowledge us. We finally had to ask if we needed to call the number listed on the back of the computer for help. Then gave us a hard time about checking in early when it was already 3:00, not crowded, and rooms available. Also asked if there were places to sit outside and he said no when both floors have chairs outside to look at the sights. Also outside needs some attention with dead plants or overgrown plants. He was not professional and did not dress like he was part of the hotel staff.

Breakfast was good with hot and cold selections.

Terrible experience.

I made this reservation about a month in advance, yet when we arrived at 8:00 PM for check-in, we were told that our reservation had been given to someone else because of an overbooking issue.

We were a party of three, and the only option offered was a room with one bed for all three of us. When we explained that this was not acceptable, the front desk employee became rude, raised his voice, and repeatedly said there was nothing he could do. Instead of helping us find a solution, he argued with us and showed no concern for the situation.

By the time we arrived, it was already 8:00 PM, and after a full day of traveling we were exhausted. There were no available hotel rooms anywhere nearby, and because of the hotel’s mistake we were forced to drive an additional hour back in order to find another place to stay for the night.

We eventually had to cancel the reservation and find another hotel late in the evening.

The hotel failed to honor our confirmed reservation and did not provide comparable accommodation.

The property itself looked outdated, and there was a strong unpleasant odor throughout the building. Combined with the unprofessional and disrespectful behavior of the staff, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was spacious and had comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water. The big disappointment was the sparse breakfast and lack of flavored cream that any $200+ a night hotel has. There are a lot of stairs to climb if you want the quieter 2nd floor. The hotel is nicely redecorated, but pricey for what you get. Hot tourist area. Go for the hotels with hot springs it's worth the $25 more. Also booked a suite and DID NOT GET A SUITE.

Breakfast was lacking milk and eggs were extra watery. Biscuits were hard like a hockey puck. This was multiple days and we did not go back for the last day. Room didn’t look clean. Beds were made and looked clean but smell was another story. They never came around to clean and we had to beg for new sheets and towels. When asked the answer we would get was they didn’t speak English. Toilet leaked from the bottom and would hardly flush. Hot water only lasted for a good minute. One positive…AC worked great!

It's an older motel, which I knew when I booked it. It was clean; however, there was a musty/moldy smell in the bathroom but no visible signs of mold - perhaps in the walls? This is a picky thing of mine, but I hate when different lights are in the same light fixture, some soft-white and others cool white. I know - 1st world problems, but details matters.

Pick another place. Great view, and fantastic shower pressure, but that's all that's going for them. Outdated room, microwave took twice as long as it should. They have laundry available, but claim they keep no cash at all on site... good luck getting change anywhere in the city. Also vending machine is 100% empty... so when the entire town shuts down by 9pm and you're a late arrival, you're screwed.

We were given an attitude about our ESA dogs upon checking in, who have proper documentation. Declared we booked the incorrect room but I specifically booked the pet friendly room. At breakfast the bread was covered in mold and the “OJ” provided was basically water. The overall cleanliness of the room was good and the location was great as well. But between the attitude during check in and moldy breakfast being served, they have some work to do.

Room was clean and other guests quieted down about 9:45pm. My only concern is that no staff are available after 8ish or after the last expected guest arrived. So, if you forget your key you were out of luck.
Breakfast bar was fine was almost out of sausage when we arrived at 7:30am and the machine coffee is terrible and the apple juice was more water than juice.
We had stayed here previously under different owners and name and the place was amazing.
The grounds could be cleaner, cigarette butts and leaves all around the property.
Not sure if we’ll return to this hotel on our next visit to Ouray.

This place is close to most attractions, including the hot springs, Box Canyon Falls, and town.

Some appliances need to be fixed or updated. The TVs are old—only one channel is available, and the remote does not work. The tub takes a long time to drain, possibly because the pipes are old. When we did laundry, only one washer was available; the other was broken. The ice maker is not working as well.

Breakfast is okay, but the waffles are sour. We stayed there for a week, and they were sour the entire time. Apples are the only fruit available, and there is no juice. If you have kids who love juice, it’s best to bring some.

I think the person in charge is nice and tried to help as much as he could. Housekeeping is okay as well.

Juice machine did not work, so there was no juice. Seemed like that could have been rectified fairly easy. Everyone wants juice w there breakfast.

The TV did not work but the staff took care of the problem reasonably fast. The staff was polite and offered any needed assistance. .I felt the price I paid was a little high considering the age of the facility. Otherwise it was good. Most of the town was easily walkable from that location. Being late December was a little disappointed that there was little snow but of course the staff can't do anything about that. If you are looking for a nice quality stay on a tight budget I recommend this facility...
