I prepaid for my room and the night clerk was rude on our return trip home. The clerk told me and my aunt i was lucky i showed up as he was going to cancel my room. Even though I said we would be checking in very late when we stayed on the way down. How can you cancel a room that is prepaid?

Our first night there was great as we were on our way to Arizona to see my brother. My Aunt and I enjoyed the man at the front desk as we checked in late. He was kind, funny should get a kudos for his job.

The room was great, had everything we needed. Location was good - away from the noise of the city, but close enough to everything we were there for. Breakfast was okay, but a little more hot variety or change up would have been nice. Overall, we had a great stay!

This Residence Inn was in much better shape in others we have stayed in. However I don't like that they allow animals, especially when a dog starts barking at 2am and never stops.

I appreciated the house sized refrigerator as I have a diabetic cat and need to keep her insulin at above freezing temperatures -- a lot of dorm size refrigerators have terrible thermostats and will dip below freezing. The breakfast options were good. My only ding is that the walls are very thin and i could hear other residents conversations and TVs so bring ear plugs if this is an issue.

The electrical system is extremely dangerous. I turned on a few lights and tripped the breaker. I moved to a different area and turned on a light and the other breaker tripped. Then I plugged in a charger and there was a literal explosion from which I jumped and was nearly injured. That charger was ruined and I was extremely shocked and fearful.

As always we had a wonderful stay. Megan at the front desk got us checked right in. We got to the room and noticed an issue with the bedding needed some attention. In less than 5 minutes they had 3 ladies from housekeeping up and changing the entire bedding.
Very quiet throughout the night.
Richard in the breakfast kitchen always has a smile and great conversation. And the food is as delectable as going out to any nice restaurant. Fresh fruit, waffles, eggs, muffins and many many more options .

Stayed here because sister had a heart attack. She passed away during the stay. The front staff told us on four occasions we could extend our stay in the same room. On our last day of initial reservation we were told they were sold out and we had to leave or pay a rate of close to four hundred dollars a night. Most disappointing that as a Marriott rewards member for over fifty years they didn’t care. Room was worn and not great anyway. Glad to leave.

Basketball, Family and Food

Absolutely loved our stay at this Residence Inn during our recent family gathering/basketball tournament. It was close to the facilities where we played and roomy enough for our big party; kitchen was adequate enough for us to cook family meals. Think we have found our new place to stay for our annual retreat.

Exactly what you might expect from a chain hotel.’

The hotel was okay, maybe a little worn and in need of some refurbishing, but seemed clean. The front desk gal was very friendly. Our room didn’t have a suitcase stand and she tried to find one for us, but couldn’t find an extra in the hotel. We managed without it and I appreciated her trying to find one. The breakfast was what you would expect from a chain hotel, ok but not spectacular. We were in town for a funeral. Upon checking in the front desk clerk informed me that if I had booked through Marriot rather than Hotels.com she could have offered us a bereavement discount. I thought this might have been better left unsaid. All said I would likely stay there again.

The breakfast was excellent but the room will keep me from choosing this brand again. Residence Inn has always had a high standard. I have not stayed at one in awhile and decided to select this brand on this trip. I was disappointed that my room was not ready when I arrived at 5:15pm, after making the reservation at 1pm. The room was dirty: Shaved beard hairs on the bath counter, pubic hair on the toilet seat, fresh toothpaste spit (1.5\" long) on the wall next to the toilet, coin-sized soft mold spots on the shower curtain, and dried drops of food sauce on the kitchen counter. There was no cover on the bath ceiling light, and silverware had been put away dirty. Some of these items fall in the \"hey, stuff gets missed sometimes\" category, but as a whole, they indicate sloppy housekeeping and inadequate supervision. Also, the $75 pet fee is higher than most hotels. I did know the fee ahead of time and accepted it due to my very reasonable room rate from Expedia, but I won't pay that high of a pet fee again. I stayed at 3 other properties (all different brands) on this trip, and they charged $25 or $20.

Enjoyed the stay. Only complaints were the bed is way too soft for me, and the breakfast only had pork options for meat. Would be nice to have a variety for people with allergies or religious reasons for not eating pork.

The hotel was clean but dated. The bed in my pet friendly suite was the worst bed I have ever tried to sleep on. It was beyond firm, it was old and it squeaked when you rolled over. I ended up sleeping on the sofa in my room. I'm glad they allowed pets, but I could tell they only allowed them in certain rooms and did not care what previous pets did in the room. The refrigerator was scratched up, stains on the carpet, and curtains ripped up. I have stayed in other hotels that have allowed pets and they were nothing like this one.
