Room was very clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants and bars in walking distance.
Teri
Awesome /nice place! Room was excellent and extremely clean and the bed was super comfortable. Staff was great, especially the lady that checked me in. Very friendly and helpful, shared information about places to eat that were within walking distance. Parking was good. I chose the parking lot across the street instead of the street side parking. It was well lit so I felt like my vehicle would be safe and it was. I decided not to pay the extra charge for breakfast due to so many other places to eat that were close. All in all 10/10 and have already booked my next stay.
Diana
Great service & very clean.
Kristen
Every interaction with staff was exceptional, including the girl who checked us in after the fire department left, who was there when we arrived on her 3rd day of employment! Both Saturday and Sunday mornings were delightful when I went down to the lobby to get coffee! Mariah and her bistro partner (sorry, I did not catch her name) were incredibly wonderful! Loved the convenient parking. Only 2 inconveniences: ice, only on the 4th floor; our refrigerator was too small to hold our leftovers and food we brought for a family reunion the next day! Excellent experience!

The bar was very sad the bartender didn’t know hi to make most drinks and the bar was also out of a lot drinks for example has a margarita on the menu but couldn’t make it due to not have the ingredients to make it.

The room was very spacious. There were stains behind the toilet and the bathtub was peeling inside it. The bathroom door wouldn’t stay open and there were no trash bags in any of the trash cans.
Heidi
Beautiful clean well located to food and shops. Especially enjoyed the happy hour bar with Teeaqua \"Tee\". So friendly helpful.
Stephen
Our room was just as advertised. It was a great stay. Could use a microwave in the room as there was no on-site restaurant.
Bar was lacking in supplies to make many drinks.
Highly recommend this property. Seamless check in.

Does not meet typical Marriott standards.
Beer bottles and garbage scattered around the parking lot is never a good sign. As I walked in, I watched an employee step over / ignore a literal grocery bag of piss. I’ve never seen a grocery bag of piss before.
Stains on the bathroom wall behind the toilet (pictured), clogged shower drain, chipped and cracked tile in the bathroom, curly public hair on the floor in the corners. And this is the renovated/updated room.
This isn’t your typical Marriott, don’t expect any standards here. It’s 2025 and this hotel doesn’t have a vent fan in the bathroom so when you shower, the whole room gets muggy. It had one of those ancient wall air conditioner units you used to see in motels back in the day, and the floor around it was all sopping wet!
Ice machine was on the 4th floor, what the heck? Dudes at the front desk were untucked and sloppy, the ladies had ear buds in and were watching YouTube or something.
Coffee is $3.50 in the lobby lol, and parking at this joke of a Marriott is $16 per day in WICHITA. Not a world class city, but in Wichita, where 60% of the city is parking lots.
If you MUST stay in Old Town, Wichita, do yourself a favor and stay at The Hotel at Old Town. It’s 2 blocks away from this embarrassment to the Marriott name.

Parking right next to a dance club, NO FENCE, cars racing through the lot. Put us on the side of the hotel where the Mexican Dance club played until nearly one AM booming bass as loud as they could. NO OTHER ROOMS ON THAT SIDE OCCUPIED, place was nearly empty - could’ve given us a quiet room. We were there to visit my son who has been on life support for a week. No hospital discount, LOUSY BREAKFAST we paid $10 each for and almost didn’t get, had to get night clerk to make sure we would get it and still had to get breakfast someplace else. WORST HOTEL EVER. We Have traveled for our jobs for over 20’years and this get the SHAMEFUL AWARD. The people running it should have to listen to that crap that passes for “music”
All night every night as punishment for their rudeness and deliberately putting us on the worst side of the property while they definitely had empty rooms. Bulldoze the place!

Wasnt expecting the additional parking fee. The lot wasnt even fenced/gated. I know the hotel 2 blocks away doesnt have an extra fee for parking.
Nichole
Always a great place to stay.

We received a “smoking charge”. There were NO smokers in our room. The manager would not return my call. When I finally was able to reach him, he said he could smell it and had to put in an ozone machine. Then I was told there was nothing he could do and to contact customer care. When contacting customer care, I was given a case number and told it was up to the property manager who said he couldn’t do anything.
Kristina
This is the second time I've stayed at this property while traveling to Wichita. It is very clean, smells good, and has hotel parking that is easily accessible.
It is right at the heart of the downtown Marketplace so lots to do. It can be loud late at night due to its location. You can hear music from the nightclubs and a lot of people drag racing in the streets on the weekends. But it has never been a bother enough for me to not keep going to this location.

One broken thing
The A/C was out until the manager came from off shift and helped fix the outside unit. When I called to the front desk I found out our phone mic wasn't working.

Close to Wave for concerts. Have stayed here before and it was clean, quiet, and a good value for the money. Breakfast is extra but I usually go somewhere else for breakfast. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable and helpful. Would recommend.

We didn’t get a complimentary gift @ check in. The fridge was unplugged I plugged it in - our leftovers were wasted cuz the fridge didn’t col off.

Loud band until 2 AM kept the entire hotel awake
We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times and really like it because it is always been cleaned and we like the location and it’s near a lot of good restaurants. However, on this last visit the bar across the street had a really loud band both nights and they did not shut down until 2 AM. It was so loud that it rattled the windows. My son had a competition the next morning at 8 o’clock, and therefore we did not get any sleep in. He ended up having to withdraw because of how tired he was because he had performed the previous day multiple times. We talked to the manager about it, and they offered to move rooms, but regardless of where you were in the hotel, you could hear the band playing so unfortunately, we did not give them full stars as we have in the past because of this incident.

The location of the property is in old town. There is
Brian
Our room was quiet. Probably due to the way the room was arranged, we did not hear the inhabitants of the adjoining rooms. We like easy access to QT and Nifty Nut House, which was a contributing factor in choosing this location. We would have liked the buffet breakfast to be free like so many other places we have stayed, but we were able to try out a breakfast restaurant nearby.

Room window is in the Lobby. Terrible exp. buffet
Booked my room on hotels.com for 1 king room. The ended up giving me a double queen not too big of an issue. The room I was given had a big window to the lobby so if you're not careful people can view in if curtains aren't drawn closed. The other window had a piece of wood behind it due to being below first level.
The breakfast buffet was my biggest issue. You have to pay $15.00 for a normal breakfast buffet you would end up getting for free from any other hotel, food was terrible and definitely not worth the $15 plus tax and tip so around $20.00 and not sure why you would need to tip the lady that stands there and checks you in. I asked if my room could be switched and they told me all rooms are booked. Also, if you need ice, it's on the fourth floor. Very inconvenient hotel for the high price you pay. I'd say if you have to stay there make sure your room is upper level if at all possible, and you might as well go out to breakfast. Last bit is someone dropped their dirty socks in the hallway we noticed the night before and guess what it was still there the next morning. Will not stay there again better hotels in the area for less money.

It works
Usually we stay on the other side of town and wanted to mix it up. Good location, a bit run down. Not the friendliest front desk service but efficient.
Christopher
Clean rooms and close to many places to eat. Didn't get the room I reserved. $20 breakfast wasnt worth $20. Overall it was decent place to stay.

I liked the location of the property, many options for dining and entertainment. The only thing I found inconvenient was the parking around the area

I thought it was clean and the staff was nice
Billy Neil
Nice hotel with very comfortable beds and modern rooms. TV and internet were not working or this would have received a higher rating.
James
Perfect location in downtown Wichita
JOHN
The staff was great but the health room was being refurbished and our room fridge did not work. Though these things can be fixed.
Jacob
Nice old town area

Too loud. Way too loud.
The pullout couch was too hard to sleep on. And a nearby bar played music until morning that was so loud you could feel it rattle your body.

The room was very classy. Everything was clean. The bed a little too soft for me. But very good all in all

We got an inner room which was quiet, much to my liking because I am a light sleeper! We did have an issue with the ruff bath towels and the shower head pattern was terrible.

Great hotel downtown
Clean, comfortable, & convenient being downtown!

Beautiful hotel. Several businesses were awesome. I felt a bit unsafe walking. Saw several people that appeared to be homeless.
Area should be better lighted.

Everything was excellent until, I checked in and checked out 2 bell carts for the entire hotel , I had a bunch of firearms to offload & load in the the morning , for a Marriott property that’s uncalled for

Love the area with its restaurants/ sports bars/. Hotel very nice- clean- friendly staff. Pay the extra for the breakfast- it’s very good
John
Double charging and no refund. Don't recommend!
I was charged twice for the room and have not received a refund even though I was told I would
Rachel
Stay was good overall
My experience was good. My only complaint is the rooms didn't have a microwave and the buffet breakfast wasn't included.
Michael
Clean, friendly and location.

Would definitely stay again!
Everything was great! My wife and I loved how it is right in the middle of old town. We were in town for the Jelly Roll concert and it was just a half mile walk to INTRUST. Several restaurants right there as well. The hotel was very clean and updated.
