Everything was excellent, front room, bathroom (especially large soaking tub), and large bedroom except the bed. We are use to a soft bed. This bed felt like sleeping on the floor. We were not able to sleep in because our body hurt from the bed. We got ready at 5:30am and left. We would have like to sleep in till around 9am.

Staff was very friendly. Chad was great and gave us advice on local spots and info on the speakeasy in the basement. Valet parking was convenient, quick, and inexpensive. Besides the normal ware and tear, hotel room was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows. Speakeasy had great drinks and entertainment. 9/10 overall

Holli, the Senior Sales Manager, made our stay truly unforgettable. She reached out before our arrival to help us celebrate my wife's birthday and had chilled champagne and delicious cheesecake waiting in our room when we checked in. That evening, Jacob, our waiter, provided exceptional service and even arranged a table for us in the Speakeasy before the live music began. Our steak dinner was one of the best we've ever had, perfectly prepared and full of flavor, and breakfast the next morning was equally delightful. From start to finish, this was easily one of the very best hotel experiences we've had in Wichita.

The corner rooms a spacious with a great view. The only thing keeping this place from a 5star rating is the road noise. The hotel sits on the main drag for the younger croud on weekends, so it was noisy until around 1am when the hot rodding drivers finally went home.

When I arrived and pulled up in the front of hotel for check in the valet, when I said I was going to self park he told me I needed to get my truck out of his driveway. So this was my first impression of the ambassador. Woman at the check-in was very nice. Parking was terrible for me when I came back in with my suitcase. This one staff member kept trying to take it from me and I told her I could do it myself. Staff was just too clingy at times. There were no refrigerators in the room for my drinks. I don’t drink pop and what I wanted wasn’t in the vending machines I guess because I never went to look for them. No ice machines. If you wanted ice, you had to call down and ask them to bring it up totally inappropriate. When I was checking out, I found out they did have an ice machine on three, but I was on 10. Noise level in my room was terrifically bad. Motorcycles racing, and gunning up and down the street well into the in early morning. Hotel staff is aware of this but stated it would cost $1300 for each window to be replace. I think when they built this hotel they tried to cut costs, so we get to suffer. I was on the 10th floor and I could hear the traffic noise all the time. They did have a noise machine, which was very nice, but it didn’t really block out any of the street noises Staff in the dining room were very nice and the manager came out and spoke with us. Food was great.Needless to say I would not stay in this hotel again nor would I recommend it.

The Hotel is in the heart of downtown with awesome views from the higher floors. The lobby area is impressive and the folks wonderful to deal with. A manager emailed me the day before to be sure I had her contact info and Chad texted me immediately after checking in to be sure everything was ok. My 8th floor suite was on the SW corner. The room was very nicely decorated and the bathroom was all marble.

We had booked a room so we could be close to the Century II where our event was being held. When we arrived to check in after a long drive (9:30pm), we were told the hotel had an \"HVAC issue\" that led to them shutting down a couple of floors. We were told they didn't have a room for us. No advance call, no warning.

They rebooked us at another Mariott property, an Aloft, hotel which was 30 minutes away and made for transportation and parking issues. It totally changed our trip and the Aloft we were sent to was not very nice.

While the hotel did find us a room and comped our room, the total lack of communication in the hours leading up to our arrival was extremely disappointing. Being told by the staff that the Aloft we were rebooked at was only \"5 minutes away\" when it was 30 minutes away was also misleading and disappointing. To add to it, I now am on some sort of Ambassador and Mariott marketing email lists that are pretty excessive.

The entire experience could and should have been handled better by the hotel with some advance communication.

Charge 9$ for WiFi per every 24 hour period, no bathtub in regular rooms, no pool, anywhere from 8-14$ PER ITEM per plate per person for their breakfast. Plus if you want to eat it in your room then a whole lot of other fees are taxed onto that already ridiculously high price!

We observed insects/bugs in our room in bathroom sink area. My wife killed two before retiring for the night and then another in the morning. We also experienced abnormally loud noises coming from the streets around the hotel from 11:30pm to past 1pm. The property was in good presentable condition, however, the experience with the insects was very dissatisfying.

From the moment I called to check parking height restriction, Jenna set the bar pretty high. She not only answered the questions I had, but begin to make sure my stay exceeded my high expectations. Then checking in Trevin continued the hospitality and above and beyond service. As a solo traveler, I can not remember the last time, service exceeded my expectations. These guys definitely did!!! Another extraordinary stay at the Ambassador Hotel Wichita. We come for business several times a year. We use to pick a new hotel each time, BUT....we are now completely spoiled for the Ambassador! Great people in all positions, the restaurant is really good, and the rooms are simply the best!! We usually request a corner room..just a little more fun and light and energy from downtown! Overall beautiful, lovely property.

Date Night with Friends

We enjoyed our stay with friends. We ate in the restaurant which was delicious, and then we enjoyed the speak easy with live music and delicious drinks later in the evening. The best part was just being able to relax and never having to leave the premises. The only complaint is that the bed was not very comfortable.

Enjoyed staying at the Ambassador. Was especially helpful to have the shuttle service from the airport and back and to other locations. The food was good as well. Superior property. It is an old building with character; too bad they are trying to make it look contemporary!!

This hotel was perfectly situated for the event we were in town for. The only drawback is how loud traffic is in the evening and night.

Hotel itself was nice, with helpful staff. Only real complaint is the noise level outside the hotel. There was loud traffic (racing?) until past 2:00 am on the weekend nights, not quite as bad on the weeknights. Kept us awake from the 6th floor. Obviously not the hotel’s fault, but something to consider if you have young children or need to get a solid night’s sleep.

We have stayed at this property several times a year for the last 6 to 7 years. It has been going through some changes and I have to say this is the absolute best day that we’ve ever had! The staff is incredible and the service is unmatched. We were really impressed with this day.

Will Return. Great Stay!

My stay at Ambassador was amazing. The King corner room was spacious and very clean. Room Service was prompt. The front desk staff was helpful for check in and out. Also, the Signature Cosmopolitan cocktail was delicious!

We paid $289.77 through Expedia.com for one night. The hotel charged us $252.58 which “should” fall off our checking account in 5 days! Our room’s air conditioner did not work so we were moved at 8:30pm to another room which was very inconvenient. They said they would comp out $18.00 parking ticket for our inconvenience.

the staff at the hotel was friendly, the speakeasy staff however was not. we were unaware that you had to make a reservation to go there, it’s a small bar, we didn’t think it would be necessary. the workers took forever to answer the door, and once they finally did, they acted as if it was an inconvenience for us to go there without a reservation. the mini bar in the room was left open, and everything inside was hot including the fridge itself was hot to the touch. we called the front desk to let them know, and they seemed less than concerned about it and stated that “the people before probably left it open.” it was nice, but doesn’t look anything like the pictures, and way too expensive for what it was. unimpressed with the room, upset over the price when it definitely wasn’t worth it.

The hotel itself is nice and clean but i will not ve staying here again! They will nickel and dime you for every single thing, including charging you for wifi, for the price i paid to stay here, the very least you could do is give me wifi! The room service is overpriced, as are all the snacks and minibar stuff! $7 for a snickers bar is crazy.
Then the shower leaks all over the floor, and the showerhead sprays all over the place as well.
Then while im sleeping, the maid service knocks on my door, i shouted one minute! She then knocked another 4 times before i could get my pants on, and i ended up answering the door with just a towel on! I know they have a job to do, but give me a minute to get up!

Love our Staycation

We had An amazing stay for our 20th anniversary. I will say be prepared for commotion as you are downtown. They did provide a Bluetooth speaker to play white noise.

This was a great high-end hotel room. It was very spacious. I love that during the holiday season they had a speakeasy in the basement. Valet service was great. They had wonderful decorations for Christmas. The gym was nice as well.

My husband was at Wesley Hospital for 6-7 days, I needed safe, 5 star hotel for restaurant, room service, & convenience to hospital. Ambassador did not disappoint. This staff both customer service & restaurant for both breakfasts & dinners were exemplary. I would recommend staying if you have high expectations along with food things as my love languages of life. Not to mention the delicious vanilla lattes every morning.

All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The property was clean and felt very safe. We had a nice time. The only leas than stellar thing about the place is that bed was pretty squeaky and I hope the squeaking did not bother any guests.

This property NEVER disappoints! The ambiance as well as the staff are really extraordinary. From the cookie at check in and the coffee in the lobby (with cream) in the morning, they don't ever miss a chance to make you fee welcomes and appreciated! Our interactions with Charles - the Doorman and Parking Valet - were the highlight of this trip!!! We would come back just to stay in touch with our new friend - he is a Wichita treasure!!! He knows the history of the town and especially the area around the hotel, he is so personable and such a friendly likable man that you are just drawn into his orbit...and are better for it! Can't heap enough praise on the Wichita Ambassador Hotel!!!
